Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff

Rude member of staff looking down his nose at me because I stood in the wrong place to order.

It was a petrol station, so not much conversation. Lovely coffee from the machine and service was canny

Always pop in here for a coffee on my weekly outpatient visit, service very quick and staff are all amazing

Excellent lunch stop when you've got an appointment at the RVI.

Very nice drinks and very nice people working. I accidentally spilled hot tea, was offered to replace with the sandwich what I spilled, and offered ice for my burnt fingers. Well, canapés are at a height!!!

They have cortado and opening almost all day, so not bad

Busy, hot, but fine for takeaway. Now serves M and S food, and Coca Cola company drinks.

I use this costa alot through work with it being open 24 hours and can't complain. Good selection of food and staff are always polite

A bit slow and lacking cleanliness, considering there were about 3 ppl behind the counter. The tables and the seats were quite dirty and I haven’t seen anyone to disinfect any for 1h and a half.

Advertised as open 24hr sat & Sunday but it’s not.

Very Expensive place but its Coffee is nice & it kept me awake in the Hospital when my Daughter was having her Baby & obviously I needed to stay awake, I must have spent an easy £30/£35 in there that night. Just wish they didn't feel the need to charge so much especially in a Hospital.

It's my local coffee store,and the warm welcome is apertizing,those kids work really hard,and just ware on earth can you get a flavour like Costas.a Wiltshire ham toastie + a large Capocheno,ask for it xtra hot .

Aside from the staff looking like they need a coffee themselves to wake them up, the atmosphere and coffee was brilliant.

Overpriced! Especially in hosptials!, nobody chooses to be in hospital so you buy whatever you have access to and Costa is so overpriced for what you get, especially when hospital stays are expensive enough, for petrol, parking, food, drinks, tv etc

Great coffee shame about the rude ignorant staff at this particular coffee store. Queue was long, no apologies or interaction from any of the members of staff not even a hello or a look of happy to help. i wont be going back.

Amazing food and drinks and workers are lovely!

There are 2Arrigo shops in the R.V. I., both trade 7days a week. They are both convenience stores & both sell lottery.both shops are next to the Costa shops.Just up from the Costa shop in the main entrance there is Subway shop next to our food court that opens at 7am till 2am they sell snacks & hit food.Costa Leazes trade 24 hours Monday to friday & 8am to 9pm weekends.The other shops trade9 till 7sat .& sun. & Monday to Friday 7 am to 8pm P.S. both shops sell grocery products chilled & frozen, they also sell stationery, books, toys,newspapers, magazines & baby clothing.

It was fine but I don't like using coffee chains owned by tax avoiders @

Way to expensive one banana 69p one apple 69p go to tesco's and they are 13p each as for the apple you can get a bag of apple's for 69p. At tesco's And the bananas looked out of date at costa coffee

The service is an absolute delight. The restaurant right next to reception and an excellent spot. You realise how lucky you are as you tuck in to your excellent food offerings and an excellent drink choice, as patients to and fro

Closed at 4pm! I realise and appreciate that it's a bank holiday but it's a hospital with staff and visitors there all of the time, service should reflect this.

Handy place for a bite to eat or a cup of tea/coffee. I had a very tasty ham and cheese toastie and a latte. Drinks come in 3 sizes. Place is nice and clean and tidy. Staff were quick to clear away rubbish and used plates from tables.

Nice and friendly staff, good atmosphere, ordered a coffee was nice. They have a good meal deal for visitors to relax.

Every hospital visit I go here for a coffee first.

Costa Coffee off Richardson Road within RVI i enjoyed last visit but this visit put me off my food due to dirty cutlery, other than that ample staff seating area clean.

Sorry ya only getting one star. As always costa is the best but.... and it’s a big but, these charge more per cup than normally as it’s in a hospital, again another company making money from sick people, hence the one star..

Love the new watermelon & coconut cooler drink, my husband is in RVI & this it's the only thing that he wants to drink. Super friendly staff( I only wish you could buy the syrup they make the watermelon & coconut cooler with) Thanx Costa 😀

Very slow service... only one till open when busy not great

Staff are unpleasant, very very slow. Trying to stack chairs and tables around you while your trying to enjoy your purchase

Nice vanilla latte served with a smile and pretty quickly for a Costa! It has tables and chairs which it seems to share with another café next door. Staff and visitors mix and it’s a nice place to chill and people watch while you’re waiting. TIP: download the Costa app and zap it each time you buy, every now and then you have enough to buy a free coffee or two.

Appallingly slow staff as ever. The money which Costa spent on a "refurb" would have been better spent on staff training, improving accuracy and people skills! When a customer requires no milk in their americano is it too much to ask that the cup be filled? When I asked for a top up (which is only hot water, after all, you would think that I'd asked my server to donate a kidney to me! Not impressed.

Impatient staff, who clearly didn't listen to my request for my latte to be served in a cup and saucer, have obviously by-passed and training in customer service. My 14 year old daughter heard one staff member sign when a customer asked for sugar. No worries. ..l won't be back.

My wife and I have been staying in the Great North Children’s Hospital for approx 4 weeks as our Daughter has been an patient on Ward 1b. We’ve used the Costa quite a bit but have to say the Staff are not the most welcoming I’ve ever come across. Their demeanour borders on miserable and manners are a little lacking. Eye-rolling is also prevalent among the staff, we’re going home in 2 days and it can’t come quick enough. The amount of negativity that oozes from that place is just too much when you’ve got a poorly child who is getting assessed for brain surgery. Cheer up, things can’t be that bad. I’m sure if the visitors, patients and medical staff can have a smile on their face then so can the Costa staff!
