Easy to find on the Quayside under the landmark Tyne Bridge on the Newcastle side of the river. It's accessible from the front (street facing) and rear (River Tyne facing), and I recommend using the front street entrance. For those who don't know the brand, it's a great place to enjoy American Style Diner food (burgers, ribs, chicken, pasta, and vegetarian options) in a rock music venue. It is typical of any Hard Rock Cafe you will visit anywhere, with regional, national, and international bands and singers memorabilia in glass cases. The music was mostly very heavy metal and obscure bands playing on TV screens with the odd, well-known song. The restaurant is on two floors, and you are encouraged to wander and see their memorabilia collection. The food was excellent (I recommend the Salted Caramel Cheesecake, deliciously yummy), as was the service (friendly, informative and cheerful), but imho music could do with adding some Brit Pop rock bands and more mainstream music. A great start to your evening on the toon.

I haven't been to many hard rocks but this one was pretty disappointing in the decor. It has a sixth form common room vibe. But the food and service was great and they have some interesting memorabilia. It's just in a poorly designed space

Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle is the nice place. The staff is Friendly, food is delicious, also there are the pleasant atmosphere and reasonable prices. Charming waitress Steph is very attentive to the requests of each guest. Thanks a lot.

We met a very nice, committed team. The food was delicious as usual and expected. The ambience is a bit unusual, very open and bright, but still pleasant. We eat nachos everywhere, including here - everything was great! Good choice of music during our visit. Sanitary facilities were very clean. The shop could be more balanced, the gap between S and XXL is too big 🙄

Busy Saturday night but the service was excellent. Food really surprised too - I've been to a lot of HRC around the world and the food here was as good as I've had - really really good. Over all we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and I very much recommend it

Absolutely incredible, mine and my partners go to place for our anniversary’s and spontaneous date nights. Drinks are always fantastic as is the food and the staff. Can’t recommend it enough honestly 🩷 always love picking up a new badge from the rock shop too

My husband and I were booked in for Bottomless Brunch. We upgraded to the cocktails and had a fantastic time. Our server was Katie and we absolutely loved her, she was fantastic! Very cheery and was a pleasure to have her serving us. She gave us recommendations on the nicest cocktails and she was right. She was very responsive and deserves a shout out for amazing service! Ut was very busy but she did not falter. You should be proud to have her on the team. Thank you! Kyne booking

Good service from their staff, the pulled pork is as good as ever. There's not that many interesting music memorabilia items on display.

Brilliant place, brilliant food, great atmosphere.

The food here is incredible, you definitely won't leave the place hungry. A little loud for me personally but that's the idea of the place so that's not really a complaint. Our server Dorian went above and beyond and really helped make the experience five stars.

Ideal if you are a music fan. Memorabilia on all the walls. Mostly burgers on menu but cooked and presented well. Very filling so worth the little extra price. Music is loud and is very busy so probably not best if you want a romantic meal.

Place is nice and clean. Not much memorabilia I had the double cheese burger which was rather disappointing it looked good but wasnt that nice. They held a quiz which was fun. Can't say I would return or recommend sorry.

Not enough visible props and not very cozy. This hard rock cafe does not scream hard rock. Great food as always, very nice staff and fun pub quiz. Not much wrong with it. We had a great time. Was just hoping for more of a Rock vibe.

Went for a Keven and Perry brunch.. Food was canny decent. Entertainment was top notch though.

Having been to other branches in the franchise i was really disappointed, the food just wasn't up to standard the pulled pork was cold and not much favour, the nachos were poorly topped with the cheese just in a microwaved pool underneath with none on the actual nachos, the venue was echoing and empty with not much in the way of decoration, and very little in the way of the signature musical artifacts on display, with so many famous Rockstars from the area this was a major disappointment. Lastly the service was terrible with our server forgetting our drinks and not even giving us a drinks menu to begin with. We were there on a prepaid voucher for a meal for 2 from a set menu but weren't even given a choice to order anything extra from the main menu which is just bad business as we would have spent more. In summery they let the franchise down and let Newcastle down, if you want to experiance hard rock cafe got to any other branch and save yourself from disappointment

Too quiet, no atmosphere, staff didn't even acknowledge us, poor service, pleased we went somewhere else for lunch. So much for Geordies being friendly, as these staff weren't TRUE Geordies. Won't rush back or recommend sadly.

Terrible service from the staff

Could be any generic bar, not a Hard Rock at all. All white decor and dance music blasting. Starter was OK but main was terrible. Staff were lovely but were not enough to redeem the experience.

As you would expect from The Hard Rock Cafe the food and cocktails were fabulous, service was amazing, incredibly friendly staff and a great ambience.

Had the new Lionel Messi burger which was epic

Waited over 20 minutes for two drinks (one each) which is quite long, however was soon forgotten about as food arrived straight after. I ordered pulled pork, was bog standard. My partner ordered the ribs, he was happy with those. Portion sizes very generous and not badly priced. Very mid experience of somewhere we thought would be better.

We really love coming here. The food is very good but their sauces are great. I would personally recommend both their Buffalo and Barbecue and they have always been happy to let us have samples of them with whatever meal we order. And the last time we went, along with the little Messi balls that came with their meals, the manager very kindly gave our two daughters a Hard Rock T-Shirt each. It really made their day and ours too. The only slight negative (although not for us) is that as the name suggests, they do play Rock music almost exclusively so if you are looking for a quiet meal out, then this probably isn't the place for you. But we love the vibe so will always call in whenever we're in Newcastle.

You’re not going to leave hungry put it that way. Food was nice and reasonably priced for the amount and location. It arrived in good time and the waitress was very helpful. For convenience it’s great.

Never been to a Hard Rock Cafe so maybe built up expectations too much. Was a bit soul less tbh though we did visit early doors on a Thursday. Food coming out to other tables looked nice and staff were friendly and attentive. However, we did partake in happy hour and was left a bit disappointed, the long island ice tea was not good, from a syrup that just didn't taste right and the dble Bacardi tasted weak compared to a single that had just been had. Didn't complain as you get what you pay for at £5 a glass, but wouldn't rush back there, nicer independent bars around the city

Staff very friendly and helpful and the food was very good.

We went for a bottomless brunch on a Sunday. We were a party of 7. We were very happy with the food and the drinks. The service was excellent and we weren't kept waiting for drinks. We were all finishing at different times but weren't made to wait. As the slot end time approached, we were informed and asked if we wanted to order a final round. The atmosphere was excellent and we made use of the discount code to purchase a couple of items from the gift shop.

We had breakfast. It was ok. Service was ok. Wait time was ok. If you're wanting ok then go here.

Excellent service,the young girl whom look after us was really good telling us of tales on the bridge. The food was really good as we had just got back from New Orleans and it was average but expensive. The view over the swing bridge added to the experience. Overall 5 stars defo worth a visit.

As a french i'm naturally picky with my food, but it has been an amazing meal at the Hard Rock. Great burger, the pulled pork and bacon was super tasty 😋 i let the waitress Dorian pick the beer and that was perfect match, amazing tunes going, great location. We'll deffo be back :) Merci !

We've been there twice, once years ago shortly after it opened and again this year for my birthday and we took our baby. Perfect place for couples, families and groups. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great staff

It was my birthday yesterday and me, my fiancee and her guidedog pacha went to Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle for the bottomless brunch! AMAZING and your staff were super helpful, friendly and understanding! I got a little bit upset with a song that came on whilst we were there (reminded me of my Mum!), and (I can’t remember her name sorry!!!) was so understanding and then later brought out a little birthday treat when I’d said it was my birthday! Little things go a long way and we had the most perfect time thank you!

We stopped by for the weekly quiz night, which was really fun. The music and atmosphere was great. Team mate went for the unlimited wings which looked good value. Would recommend.

Visited 22nd April and amazing overall even if the food was a big portion I went for ha. The cocktails were fantastic. Especially glacier cherries and staff are always m, always amazing. Deserves a pay rise and promotions! Also love adding and hearing new music to add to my Spotify playlist! Visited 24th November!

This was my 103rd HRC to visit. My host Eddie and server Hannah were great and made my visit even more memorable. Hard Rock "rocks".

I go here regularly on a lunchtime as I work in a nearby office. The service and food is always faultless, and if you go at lunchtime it's excellent value for money!

We had a bottomless brunch and it was a lovely experience. The food arrived quickly and the drinks were refreshed frequently with a final round on the 90 minute mark. Friendly staff and great atmosphere and location. Will definitely visit again

The lady (Natasha) who served us was fantastic, she was so friendly and helpful, but didn't hover. Bottomless brunch. Great value. Vegan fajitas were gorgeous and a huge portion. Staff were friendly and very efficient. Relaxed atmosphere and good music. 👍

The overall experience is good as the atmosphere is good with good music and decor. The food was a mixes bag. The tortilla wraps were good, however the ribs were very dry.

This was a birthday treat bottomless brunch and to be honest didn't really think it was our thing. How wrong were we absolutely fabulous afternoon food was lovely and hot and drinks kept coming all afternoon. You know what you getting at the Hard Rock When the lunchtime “special offer” is any burger plus a pint for £15, you can guage the prices. Food is only part of the experience of course. Its totally agreeable and adequate food which is also easily forgotten but big portions. If you haven’t spent enough you can get a nice Tee shirt for £25 or Pint glass for £9 Its in a great historic building in the best part of Newcastle…. Only one Hard Rock in the north east ….Newcastle Quayside Would rate it as good but there’s no option for that…

A very nice building down near the bridges with a decent amount of music memorabilia. The music was very good and it was a chilled atmosphere. I went during happy hour (5-7) so some of the drinks were cheaper. The food was good and the waitress, June gave excellent customer service! Only negative was the kitchen gave me too many chips when I asked only for cheesy bacon fries to upgrade from normal ones, so there was a bit of wastage. Overall though a very good experience and if you like rock music I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Drove from Glasgow to come here and tick another hard rock cafe box . We were asked to take a seat at the bar for 10 mins whilst our table was cleared , we did this and left after 40 mins of waiting for our table . I asked the staff member twice for an update and got "soon" and "Very soon". The staff seemed more interested in banter with each other however they did give tables to 5 other couples who had just arrived as we sat waiting.. THIS IS NOT HARD ROCK SERVICE as i know it from my travels around the World Disgusting ignorance

Great atmosphere. Really enjoyed this place for the lunchtime special. Vegetarian options available and plenty of choice without being overwhelmed.

First time visiting here last weekend. We didn't book but they managed to find us a table anyway. Staff were very helpful. Food was delicious. We found the music a bit loud and had to shout across the table to get heard. Lovely setting overlooking the Tyne Bridge. I would go there again.

The interior was nice. Lots of music memorabilia on the walls. The lunch menu was a bit limited. The food I had was ok, nothing special. They have a small shop, should you wish to purchase a souvenir. Wouldn’t go back as the food was only average.

Nice for a one off treat but expensive for what it is and there were lots of families in.

The staff were lovely but it was my boyfriends first time there and I had told him that there would be rock music playing as there has for me in the past. There was no rock music at all the whole time we were there. It was Spice Girls, Beyonce and other pop music. The food was nice and the portions were large but the atmosphere was wild. People were getting wasted there and treating the place like a bar and not a restaurant.

We came in with a wowcher voucher in which we got for my Nana’s 80th. Everything was amazing the food and drinks were spot on and met our expectations. Staff were super friendly and down to earth and everything was easy to find. Bonus with a shop being inside everything you want. Highly recommend and will be back soon.

What a lovely time we had today for Mother’s Day. The meal, service, staff and singer were all excellent. First time I’ve been to a Hard Rock Cafe and it won’t be the last, as we will definitely be coming again. A special thank you to Dorian who treated us so well. And the singer who sang one of my favourite songs Wise Men Say as a Sunderland fan it was superb. One very happy mam. Thank you
