Lovely restaurant with pleasant staff. The food was nice other than the vegetables being stone cold with the pie, nothing special but would go again if passing.

this restaurant couldn't have topped my expectations any further! staff and service was excellent and very welcoming. the food .... unbelievable! I had the tomato soup with their crunchy bread which warmer me and the wife up,the veggie paramo with fresh homemade chunky chips. and to finish a choccy fudge with ice cream . left absolutely stuffed and dead happy to have found this hidden gem!! Will definitely be back with friends in the new year. highly recommended to anyone passing , totally underrated 🤩

Left feeling really disappointed after our Christmas Eve meal. The only reason why this review scraped a 2 star is because the food was nice and the other waitress was polite and professional. That can not be said for the younger waitress who lacked customer service skills, the whole table felt that she could not be bothered and her manners were abysmal. I think she could do with some customer service training, you have lost a whole table of custom as none of us will be returning and if asked we would not recommend.

Very disappointing Christmas Eve Meal, the vegetarian parmesan was very spicy, the service wasn't great, a bit slow & long wait in between, also I found the waitress serving our table lacking in customer service

I haven’t been to the blue bell for a good while and then it was faultless but this time around i can understand why it was empty.Service from the YOUNG server was poor and rude,just shows it takes one member of the team to let the others down. Final straw came when knives and forks were dumped in a pile on the table for us to pass around. Food was nice and the older of the two servers was really nice but i for one will not recommend this place to anyone due poor service we received from the young server. I would recommend she goes on a customer service course which i feel will benefit her and the pub.

Food is absolutely gorgeous, never disappoints . Food is freshly prepared and portion size is good. We will certainly be going back.

Mine of us meet up once a month in a different pub or restaurant but..... So good has the food been here that we have returned 3 months on the trot. Great portion sizes and all beautifully cooked. This month I had the belly pork (pictures) and I don't think you will find better ..... Especially for only £14.95.

Can't fault the service but the food wasn't nice at all, vegetables cold, fish was soggy and tasteless. Steak too tough to chew, disappointed, definitely won't return and won't recommend to anyone, typical frozen pub food

Visited with 4 friends. Everyone has an excellent meal. I had the cod with chorizo crust which was superb. Two others had the belly pork which looked (and apparently was) very good. The parmo was so big that it defeated one of our number as did the generous amount of really good chips that we all had. Overall..... Excellent!

My wife and I went to the Blue Bells on Wednesday 15th February 2023. We both decided to have medium 10 oz rib-eye steaks, which were part of the steak night deal, meaning we got the steaks with two free glasses of wine. The steaks looked really good when they were served and they tasted even better. The sides and chips and salad were all really nice. We both agreed it was one of the nicest steaks we’d ever had. The service was polite and friendly, as always. An excellent meal for a great price (two steaks, two pints of Staropramen, two free glasses of wine and a honeycomb cheesecake for £50.

Ordered a carbonara, some halloumi fries, garlic bread and chilli jam for delivery. The food was outstanding, the chilli jam melted my brain, just how I like it! But the best part of the whole experience? The hot delivery driver, wow is she stunning 🔥 service with a stunning smile! Highly recommend ordering from here, especially if that delectable Geordie delivers!

Came to this place as it previously had a good reputation. Food was always good. Came for a family meal. Could not fault the starters. My parents had the steak and ale pie which was lovely. The chicken parmesans were far from great. Brownish meat and watery which is a sign of frozen chicken. Deserts were average. Service was appalling. Please trim the woman who walks round and can’t communicate with people. You ask her for something and she replies. I’ll deal with you when I’ve dealt with the other people. Really! Other customers also commented to us about it. Place needs a revamp and an overhaul. Gone down hill in my opinion

Large group all served an excellent meal. Great value. Plenty for those with big appetites. Fresh veg beautifully cooked. Great system for paying Bill with multiple people involved.

We have passed this restaurant on many occasions and decided to try an evening meal. A warm welcome on arrival was followed by a menu with a good selection of food at reasonable prices. Both the starters and the main courses we chose were first class, matched by the service throughout the evening. This really was a great find and we will be back soon.

We have heard a lot about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The selection available was good and the food we ordered was first class. The Mussels in particular were as good as any we have ever eaten. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and we will be back.

My wife and I live locally so we decided to have Sunday Lunch here. I have to say the experience was very disappointing. We had booked for 3pm but when we got there they informed us that they had run out of roast lamb and only pork and beef was available. We both decided on the pork. When it arrived at our table the Yorkshire puddings were very stodgy, my wife left hers and I found mine very difficult to cut up.The meal was not very hot and the plate was loaded with mashed potato and turnip etc. The gravy wasn’t meat juice gravy.We asked for the desert menu and we were then told the pavlova was off. We sat and waited for our desert order to be taken for over 10 minutes and when my wife asked for a Latte we were told the coffee machine was broken. So I told the waitress to forget it and we just paid our bill and went home.

I believe this restaurant serves the best parmos in the area! We enjoyed their takeaway service through the various lockdowns but it’s great to dine in again. Plenty of choice on the menus & the daily specials/ theme nights are great. Good service, pleasant staff, excellent value. Good selection of beers & the Jack Rabbit wines are fine too. Looking forward to returning very soon. I thoroughly recommend the Blue Bells for quality meals in a nice venue.

I have used the Blue Bells numerous times over many years and have ALWAYS enjoyed the food and the service. However I am most disappointed with my experience today....I phoned to try and book a take away meal for Saturday evening as it is our 50th wedding anniversary and we are in lockdown. The person there was most unhelpful and said go on this app and that app, which is of little or no help to me. I asked if he could just email me a menu and it was a pretty blunt "no it is all done electronically", and then the phone went dead, which I assume he hung up on me. All I wanted to do was book a nice meal for my wife, son and myself and support a local business during these difficult Covid times. To say I am disappointed is an understatement, as I have always enjoyed using the Blue Bells, as have many of my friends.

Just had a takeaway beef Sunday lunch. It was fantastic really good value. The beef was so tender it melted in your mouth.The amount of vegetable were enormous. I would recommend this place to anyone. The staff are so friendly. I will deffo be going back, not just for my family, but to sopport the landlord an staff through these difficult times. My wife & I enjoyed a very nice lunch at the Blue Bells today. We felt safe as safe social distancing measures & sanitising facilities were in place. Shame there weren’t many other customers there as the meal & service were excellent. We enjoyed a starter each followed by a huge Parmo and Cod & chips. Great value quality food. The wine was also very nice & well priced. Looking forward to returning soon & hope this excellent restaurant can attract the numbers of customers it deserves.

We booked a table, arrived a little ahead and were taken to our table. We could see exited tables being cleaned. Paper menus on the table. Drinks order taken. We had two different Parmo's and a Kiev. Shared bowl of salad and chips. Our food was nice. We asked for the pudding board, the waitress disappeared? We waited 15 minutes and gave up, got up, paid the bill and went to McDonalds for an ice cream. Dinner was good value, two for one parmo with the government 50% offer. Will be a while before we go back to see if the service had improved...

Three of us had a very nice dinner .I had pan fried chicken breast with a creamy sauce ,chips ,carrots ,broccoli and red cabbage on the side .Very good .the other two had BBQ belly pork with corn on the cob ,a creamy coleslaw and sweet potato chips.We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would certainly return to have the same again. The chef obviously enjoys cooking and his meals do him justice .We had a bottle of wine and a pint of excellent Atlantic pale ale .The Bill was £62 ,a bargain.

Food service everything is first class keep up the good work guy's. This resturant is truly a little gem.

The roast was delicious, the food was ordered instantly and came before the drinks and seemed too quick when arrived the waitress spilt gravy over my lap because it was swimming in gravy, I recommend gravy boat's in future. All through the meal we felt unsafe due to no ppe worn by the staff and no social distancing, the table's were all full, close and heaving.Won't be returning until Covid-19 has fully gone.

Waited 40 minutes for the starter , chicken strip start tasted like fish which were dropping in fat, the main took 1 hour and the parmo , once the food arrived you could see the fat on the plate . While I ordered the starts I asked for a steak pie for take out once we finished the main course , waited 20 minutes for this and it was not a pie it was more like a pastry without any filling inside for takeout . explained to the waitress I wasn't happy with the service and I wanted to speak to the manger her reply was to write it on Facebook. Will not be returning not worth the money

had sunday dinner deliverd today sunday 19 april 4 veg lamb puddings mash sweed and 2 pots of grevy all in own containers order was for two small dinners del on time and hot could not find any thing to complain about it was superb superb superb all this for 10pounds and 2pound delivery hows that for value will be back jt brooke estate hartlepool

Very friendly staff, service was very slick and polite. This Eatery is geared up for a Sunday Lunch service to deal with a fast turnover. A limited menu but a good selection of Roasts, not the best i have ever had but for the price it was excellent value. The main meat came with a nice Yorkshire Pud. and good selection of piping hot vegetables, more than adequate for two, and plenty of gravy. Keep it it up!!

Visited regular never had a bad experience. Sunday lunch beautiful. We have had Christmas day lunch two years running and will be returning this year. Cannot fault, value for money and excellent service from staff and owners.

This was my 40th Birthday and 4th Wedding Anniversary meal and the staff made it very special the food was amazing. we ordered of the Christmas menu and everything was gorgeous and out of this world. The staff make you feel so much at home. Warm and friendly atmosphere. The chefs also do a fantastic Job. Nothing is any problem to them.

I had a nightmare lunch at this Pub having invited three friends to join me for lunch. The food was very average with a poor veggie selection. The menu was a fairly standard pub menu for the North East of England. Unfortunately when our sweets arrived (after a long wait) we were told that the pub was now shutting and we have to leave. I was extremely embarrassed by this command and when one my guests asked to complain she was informed that there was no "management" available. At that point we accepted that coffee was a non starter and we left - my friend having not touched her "pudding" This ruined our lunch - and whatsmore none of of us will ever return to this establishment again. We were the only customers in the restaurant. Sadly this pub will probably go the way of many other pubs - and close due to lack of customers.

Amazing food, they offer a full menu or Sunday lunch (Beef, Chicken, Pork or Lamb) with the full works. Lamb was beautiful and all meat locally sourced. Bargain at £8.95. Could be a regular here 🤗

Dined at The Blue Bells, Newton Bewley on Monday night as we had been recommend their Chicken Parmos. On Mondays these are on a 2 for the price of 1 deal. There was a choice of around 6 or 7 different toppings besides the "original". All served with chips or potatoes & salad or vegetables. Good sized portions, and very tasty Parmos. We were not disappointed & will return to this restaurant. Friendly waitresses & clean restaurant. Also other main menu and specials menu have ample choice of other food, priced well.

I can recommend this pub, really good food and the staff are really friendly. Defo will be going back

First time to The Blue Bells. Went with family. We were a large party and majority ordered Sunday roast. Being vegetarian and with vegetarianism on the rise I expected there to be a few dishes to choose from however I was disappointed by choice. There were 5 vegetarian mains and not being a fan of pasta I had to opt for vegetarian stir fry. When it arrived it looked ok but noticed it had tomatoes in which seemed strange and the sauce tasted odd. Husband had sea bass which he said was ok but like myself felt disappointed. Rest of party seemed to enjoy their meals. One of the waitresses which served us seemed surly which wasn’t great but the rest of staff were really nice. Options for vegetarians and vegans should be given more thought.

Really good range of dishes on the menu and nice food - can recommend the sea bass - but the service was disappointing. Such a pity!

What a cracker of a meal, absolutely bobby bangin chicken. Floods of sauce and the place is decent. After a hard day keeping my caravan safe, I decided to pop in with the fam and it really is good. Price and portion are exquisite. Probably one of the best pubs around. Was able to park the caravan I’d just won with ease due to a sizeable car park

I popped in there for an early dinner with my partner - around 6pm.

Normally can't complain but today Veg very undercooked. cauliflower had to chop thru so under done but saying that still ate it. broccoli couldn't eat at it all. shame they serve it swimming in gravy instead of serving gravy separate. Yorkshire pudding burnt. but still very nice lunch as the meat was cooked perfectly shame u can get it right eight times out of ten. will still go and give them a chance to redeem themselves next time as service is very good

Now I’ve been coming to the blue bells for a number of years and you are guaranteed a lovely welcome by the very good serving staff and the chefs create really really good food. A small point is that the side bowls are two small for two people. Get this right and I would give 5 stars.

Yesterday I was stuck in a massive traffic jam on the A689 and as it came to this pub I decided to go in, have something to eat and drink. A lovely, clean old pub. The food was excellent and the menu was comprehensive (if you can't find something you like, I'd be astonished). Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the food was delicious. I won't wait too long before I visit again.

Went to the bluebells as we hadn't been for many a year, very pleasant staff, fitted us in as we hadn't booked, I had the chicken dinner , my husband had the beef, one of the best Sunday lunches I have had in a very long time, plenty of choice , would recommend booking as it was very busy. piping hot and good sized portions , we will definitely be returning

Had a family meal here for around 20 of us. All of our meals arrived together and were cooked to perfection. Was a little worried as we had a few small children with us but nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were very attentive and patient with us all. Enjoyed our meal so much we returned for Sunday lunch the following week and again, the food was excellent. We will be back, thank you.

Have been to the blue bells many times but found this latest visit a little disappointing. First off we were shown to a table that was completely undressed other than a place mat, small paper napkin and set of cutlery, no wine glasses, no flowers or table decoration and no condiments. I asked for and was served a gin and tonic however on placing my order there was no mention that there was no ice so I was served a very unappealing plain gin and tonic, no ice, no slice! ( thank you for not charging me for that) we ordered the Brie which was delicious followed by the chicken in a white wine sauce and a parmo for the husband again delicious but we had barely finished the starter before the main was served, this may have been because the restaurant was quiet but please allow your customers a little time between courses to digest their food! Once the mains were over we were asked about dessert and to be honest at this point we decided to call it a night, so in summary cannot fault the food but there needs to be some work on the aesthetics and timing of the servings, this was an anniversary meal and we were in and out in less than an hour!

Thought we would try somewhere new and was not disappointed. Inside the place is done out tastefully and the staff very welcoming. The food was excellent. Presented beautifully and cooked to perfection. We will definitely return.

Superb quality meals, presentation is fabulous and delicious too. The starter of King scallops was truly magnificent. Staff are very attentitive and friendly too.

Used to go here many years ago. Decided to see what it is like now. Liked it before, liked it more now. Decor simple and stylish, open kitchen and menu looks really good. Enough choice to be interesting without overwhelming. Went for Sunday lunch. Very nice. Meat plentiful and nicely cooked, two types of mash and fabulous gravy. One of our party had small plate, and it was more than adequate. Only minor point was veggies a bit boring, baton carrots and cauliflower cheese not a winner for me but cabbage and broccoli ok. Serve in large bowl. I am allergic to cheese (never thought to mention) so did not ask for new serving. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely add to my list and visit again.

Rang to ask to add another 3 to our 12 o'clock booking and was told no problem as long as we were finished by one. I had no problem with that however our order was not taken until around 12.15-20 starter arrived cold, main course was served slowly and cold, scrimped on veg and gravy and then when one if our party asked for dessert we were told we had to vacate the table as it was booked for 1pm. Were told 'people usually order starters or dessert'! Last I looked it was a restraunt!!! If they had actually served us at 12 we would have been out by 1 but service was slow. Food not too bad taste wise but served cold veg very undercooked.

This is a great pub for gluten free food, Sunday lunch included a gluten free Yorkshire Pudding and gravy. Always ask as often they can do a version of some foods.

A group of us old school friends have visited for lunch on several occasions and had good food and service. One of the attractions is that they do set menus and smaller portion meals.

We visited the Blue Bells again for a family birthday. Their 2 for 1 Parma deal was too good to miss. Substantial Parma and chips or potatoes with salad or veg. Family members also had the gammon and chicken both of which were they said really delicious but all our empty plates were proof of the excellent food. We have had several excellent meals and will definitely be returning here in the future. Recommended.

Absolutely lovely food. Service fantastic. Will be back again soon. We often visit bluebell as Anna and Matthew make our visit lovely. The staff go beyond there service to make sure we have everything we need.

We are regular customers, especially for Sunday Lunch. However our visit today was very disappointing. First of all they couldn't find our booking which was frustrating. Then our main course was served cold. To be fair they replaced our dinners but they tend to serve the plate with the meat on first and then we have to wait until they bring the vegetables to the table, in the meantime the meat is getting cold. I suspect that the mashed potato etc along with the the meat is plated up and left waiting for whatever meat is ordered. Today, when the veg was eventually served the cauliflower was so hard I couldn't cut into it. In my opinion the whole system needs looking at and revising. We will give this place a miss for awhile.

Had a lovely family meal here tonight. Food was delicious, service was prompt, staff were friendly and the place was nicely decorated and warm - what more could you want! Will definetely be returning to sample the Sunday lunch menu.

Called in for lunch recently and were met by a friendly, smiling waitress. Quickly shown to our table and drinks ordered whilst perusing the menu, I had heard lots of good comments about the Parmo so it was obvious what my chioce was going to be.

We have been going to the Blue Bells for about 30 year. The food is first class and good value. We have stopped going because we kept getting put into the dining room that is always busy and after years using the bar area we found it difficult to hear ourselves talking and we constantly kept getting knocked because it was full. We asked why we could not be put in the bar when we booked and we got told that they wanted the bar for drop in customers. Very dissapointed and as old regular customers we are angry that our needs have not been considered.

Went here on a Saturday lunch. Visiting family in the area. Pub has a great atmosphere , you are welcomed as soon as you walk in.

I went there on a Saturday lunchtime with family for a meal. The service was great and served with a smile, the food quality and portions were superb and also good value for money. The parmos are especially tasty and massive too. Some had Sunday lunches (which they serve on a Saturday too!), which were delicious and others had fish and chips - the quality of the fish was excellent, all white flesh and no bones and the batter was lovely too. Everyone has afters too, which were all nice, though the best was definitely the Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake!

Called in for lunch with friends. The lunch menu is quite extensive and represents great value for money. The Chicken Parmo is unbelievable, huge portion but beautifully cooked. Foodie heaven!

We booked a table for 8 people and our drinks order was taken promptly. We were given plenty of time to choose our meals. We didn't have starters but there was a good selection of mains to choose from. The food was absolutely delicious... well cooked and very generous portions. However, we did have to ask for extra chips as they were served in bowls and there wasn't enough to go around! It wasn't a problem though. We were very impressed with the quality of the food. It was very tasty. We had deserts and coffees. Some of the deserts were unavailable which was a shame and the only coffee on offer was "instant". The waitress was lovely and friendly. A nice night. We would definitely return.

We were here the week before and it was great. I had the same starter scallops with black pudding and chorizo no where near like last week the chorizo was thick and tough. My main was chicken Kiev not a patch on the weeks before. My friend had the pork Parmesan she complained that the cheeses topping and the outside of the pork was hard as if it had been kept warm for to long. It seemed like they had changed chefs or changed quality of the food. This was a first for us as the meals are usually spot on.

Good food, nice friendly staff. Couldn't be more helpful. Reasonably priced, we went mid-week for birthday lunch. It was a little quiet but still felt welcome. Only downside it that they close at 2 so need to get in for 12. They didn't hurry us or anything like that it was just that you knew they closed.

The title says it all, best Parmo in Teesside. I've never had such a good Parmo before, probably not even as big as this one. I was first impressed by the generous portions of food, then I was even more impressed when I realised how good it actually tasted. By far the place to be if you're craving a Parmo!

We called in on a Saturday early evening for a drink. The venue was clean & tidy, the barmaid was pleasant. However, I feel that this venue is aimed more towards people out to enjoy a meal. I haven't sampled a meal myself so I can't comment on this. If I was looking for somewhere for a meal I wouldn't dismiss the Blue Bells as other reviews state that the meals are very good.

We were treated to New Years Day Lunch by my brother in law . They go here most weeks and I can now understand why. The food was delicious. Lovely friendly welcome and our drinks arrived very quickly. We opted for the Roast Lunches 3 Lamb and 2 pork and have got to say it was excellent . Generous portions , all home cooked including home made Yorkshire pudding and Roasties and an array of lovely fresh vegetables all cooked to perfection. The sad thing was we couldn't manage a sweet !!! First rate and highly recommended , we will definitely be going back soon.

We (2 couples) booked for a late celebration of birthdays. My first impression was that the place smelt slightly damp. Once we got through to the restaurant the smell was not so noticeable. We ordered our food and drinks. Firstly the prosecco had run out (really????)

Despite being greeted by possibly the grumpiest face from the waitress she did seem perk up a little later..... we visited for an anniversary late lunch. Arrived around 3.30 on a Saturday and we were the only ones in there. The menu and specials were very inviting and all sounded amazing made even better that the special for kids holidays was that kids eat free with 2 full paying adults. So we're we're very happy already. We ordered our 3 courses. Scallops / Brie for starters. Trio of lamb steak for main and the amazing Banoffee pie for dessert. All in all best meal I've had in the UK in along time. I'll be returning to sample the beef wellington soon. Thanks for making our anniversary meal great!

We visited as three friends for lunch, everything tasted amazing. Two of us had chicken parmo, the other had a chicken salad, see pictures attached. The food was glorious, piping hot and an exceptional taste. Would definitely recommend people to go.

If you're like me you will have driven past this place hundreds of times and never thought of stopping. Well you must because your missing out. I have just had a wonderful Sunday lunch with my wife. I had lamb and it was wonderful my wife had beef which was also very good. Reasonably priced at £8.95 and great guality give it a go you will not be disappointed.

Visited with family for the first time in years and we were not disappointed. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, the service was good and the food was delicious and generous portion sizes. I would definitely recommend the Mixed Grill, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding with lashings of custard. Will definitely return.

The small print said chicken or vegetarian options only which was strange, but as it happened 3 of the group did order those, however on paying they said six people would have to order them and said read the small print!We had ordered 3 course meals and were surprised that they quibbled and hid behind the small print but we of course had to accept it.Disappointing end to the meal.Some of the starters were very nice and well presented, mains were pretty average to be honest, atmosphere was fine.A few ordered steaks which all came around medium, even though medium rare was requested, however we accepted them without making a fuss as it isn't a steak restaurant to be fair. You are supposed to get a free drink of wine, but had to chase them up as they weren't offered at any point.Overall impression - was ok but won't be rushing back too quickly.

Another Saturday pre Northern League game lunch (Div 2 Cup Final - Northallerton beat Stockton 7-6 on pens after a 0-0 draw).I'd seen crispy belly pork was on the menu here, always not risked it anywhere due to the risk of the crackling not being up to scratch, but wow!!! Absolutely super - 2 well cooked chunks, full of flavour, crunchy crisp topping, black pudding slices, sauteed taties, mixed veg's, all worth coming back for, again. Mate had chicken parmo - BIG & excellent, super chips too.Sadly the Cameron's Strongarm wasn't quite ready so a pint of a very tasty Italian (I think) lager, can't remember the name, sorry, but suited the food.Pleasant staff, prompt service, all excellent.Just mind how you cross the A 689 - fast traffic!

Been here for Sunday Lunch several times in the over the past few months and have not had a bad meal yet! Friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and lovely food at a reasonable price! We have tried other venues in the area for Sunday Lunch but always seem to gravitate back to the Bluebells as the quality is the best.

Just had lunch at the bluebells newton bewley, although it's been a while since we visited but the standards remained just as high as always, the food was delicious and the service first class with friendly and efficient staff, we will certainly return again in the future

Out for Sunday lunch today with family.we'd been before some months ago so we booked earlier in the week.we all had the roast dinners,starters,sweets & coffee & drinks from the bar.very reasonably priced for 4 people.the staff are good too.we have no hesitation in recommending to friends & family.

We have visited the Blue Bells on a number of occasion, always a warm welcome and freshly prepared meals.

Early dinner direct from work, nice environment & parked very easily. Food plentiful and home cooked. Fresh vegetables and real chips (fries are frozen). Was a recommended place to eat so a little disappointed but most certainly worth a look for hearty home made food, when I'm paying for a meal out I expect it to be better than mine (I'm no chef) but for good homemade pies, fresh veg and decent portions, I would recommend.

Had Sunday lunch here & was not disappointed. I had lamb & my husband had pork (no chicken left) & both meats were really good. It comes with mash potato, mash swede, roast potatoes & a Yorkshire pudding & a bowl of veg. All really nice. If one slight quibble, maybe could have done with more veg but I'm sure if you ask for more it wouldn't be a problem as the service was very good too. Will def return.

We have not eaten here for some years as we found the old owners some what lacking in customer service. My wife and I had a mini celebration so we decided to go to the Blue Bells yesterday. The lunch time menu while not vast on the early bird menu, full menu available also, was well varied and the service very good. The steak and ale pie portion was impressive and the food quality and presentation the same. I had the chicken parmesan and again it was spot on. My wife is a very fussy eater but managed to polish off most of the steak dish and had nothing but praise..... Another table had the fish and chips and it looked really inviting and I am going to try that on our next visit which won't be too far away. Early bird and lunch time specials are excellent value for money at £8.95 for one course which is enough for most I would think. Quality food and service or go to a pub chain selling microwave warm up food for the similar money!!! I know where we will be going......

Really enjoyed meal and atmosphere, the staff were fantastic and very happy and pilite, the food was well presented and didn't have to wait forever

The owner opened the pub especially for us on a Monday lunchtime for a family get together after a funeral. The buffet provided was excellent. Great choice of food and everything was very tasty. The staff were very friendly and professional. We also had an evening meal here prior to arranging for the buffet and can highly recommend it. Produce fresh and very well presented and cooked.
