The Red Lion has such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere with delicious food! We have enjoyed lovely meals here and would recommend.

We have used Honningham Buck regularly over the past 30 years and seen many people come and go. Very few were bad. However our last 3 visits have left us disappointed and after tonight’s visit it is unlikely we will return for the foreseeable! The choice on menu is very poor. Everything on offer is over exaggerated basic food! The starter, scotch egg with piccalilli was the best offering, but no where near as good as it used to be? Our main meal sounded great on the menu, but in actual fact consisted of piece of chicken in breadcrumbs on a flatbread with some shriveled mushroom, fermented cabbage, and a chopped up chilli. The quality was poor, and the flavour very unpleasant! Dessert, I chose a Bakewell and pistachio tart with mascarpone and I requested ice cream instead of sorbet. Thank goodness I did! The tart was tasteless and the mascarpone was laughable…it looked like the top of a baby gem!! Literally a teaspoon! What’s happened to the delicious food that used to be on offer here? There is no quality to the food served. It’s certainly not what it used to be!

We had drinks in the Rushcutters on Thursday evening prior to our Christmas staff party. As always the setting was fantastic, lovely roaring fire and the service was brilliant. Ben and his team are fantastic, and considering there were nearly 30 of us, nothing was too much trouble!!!

It didn’t even turn up. Tried to call driver, just says sorry cannot connect call.

Visiting Norwich/England the first time, must eat fish and chip. Cod was fresh and tasty. Went back the next day for Skate, should have taken a picture before digging in, sorry. We don't have skate as fish and chip in Canada, excellent food!

Arrived stone cold. waste of money was looking forward to it as well. went to shop and brought a pizza instead

The fish was bony and the batter soggy would not recommend. And had to wait for it to be cooked .

Food took 1.5 hrs to come. Soggy chips, chicken wings were average

We had a spontaneous trip out and stopped at the Maltsters Pub , we were hungry so decided to order the Roast Beef. Oh my God was it good, the Beef melted in the mouth and it looked as good as it tasted. Staff were friendly and did their very best to look after us while we were there. We will be coming back to try more, my waistline may not thank me though. Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos of my food as I was hungry and tucked in!
