Full River Chinese Takeaway in Broadland

We use this place quite regularly, this busy takeaway never takes long to prepare your food and the various dishes we've tried over the months have been very tasty and always hot. Prices are about the same as other takeaways Highly recommended, love it

We had a takeaway from the full river & the food was very good. The beef curry was superb, as was the prawn chop sue & the price was very good for the quality of the food. I’ll be back

This Chinese in Acle is absolute rubbish £19.00 fir burnt greasy chicken balls inedible special chowmein. Burnt greasy rubbish and prawn crackers gross the sweet and sour sauce was bitter never ever again rather be hungry

I stopped using this Chinese a few years ago as it was horrible, however I thought time has passed so I’ll give it another go (I live in Acle Village) OMG what a difference, best Chinese iv had in ages, so pleased I gave them another try lol Guess what’s on the menu for Saturday nights dinner from now on lol Oh and the two ladies that were in the shop when I called in are absolutely lovely 😊 If you passing through don’t forget to call in Full River for your dinner, it’s well worth a visit & you won’t be disappointed.

Had a few drinks in the Acle Bridge Inn , then feeling peckish cheekily ordered a Chinese that was delivered to the car park and then just a short walk to the boat. Good size portions and great food... Delivery and ordering so simple - Go for it

I come up to lingwood for a break , no chinese there so travelled to acle twice fas it got great reviews first it said telephone orders only fair enough. second time tried to phone about 7 times no answer and yes they were open . i can only assume they take orders during the day but don’t answer the phone on the evenings.

Good good but huge signs everywhere stating cash only. Obviously tax avoidance but during these times they should offer the option.

Having recently moved to the area we tried a few local Chinese takeaways. This one is our favorite by some way. The food has always been very tasty....I am not sure I have had a better chicken Ball anywhere.

We are locals who were disappointed with our last meal - it was bland and we felt over priced. However tonight's meal was far better, so if they stick to this quality we will be back...

I have lived with my family in the immediate area for nearly twenty years and have use The Full River Chinese takeaway as long as we’ve lived here. We’ve NEVER personally had a bad meal in that time. Yes it’s not the cheapest Chinese but the quality far surpasses any other in the broads area. I do wish they delivered but we call first and order for fast service. Excellent chow meins and deep fried chilli beef is beautiful 😊

A poor Chinese takeaway. The only one in town so it can make the food as bland, sweet, sickly or dull as it likes due to a lack of competition. It also another cash only establishment which in this digital age is a pain in the a$$. Avoid. Drive to Norwich.

We have used this takeaway several times and always receive a friendly and helpful service. Our telephone order is ready for collection at the specified time and is always delicious.

We have been coming to the Full River for a few years now and each time the dishes gets a little more blander. All sauces starting to taste the same, and for £20 for two they need to raise there game for those sort of prices.

Food and service here is always good had takeaway many times just shame no delivery nor card payments

Picked up a meal to take back to the travelodge. It was cash only as the payment card was down, but we were directed to the cash point close by, and could have placed our order before payment taken. The food was excellent. Staff were friendly and service good.

This is the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had, food has no flavour at all and is very overpriced

Whilst on a boating holiday fancied a takeaway, and Full River actually deliver to the boats at Acle boatyard. Good food, excellent delivery time and value for money

We enjoyed everything we ordered. It was done in minutes so we didn't have to wait long. Would recommend.

Ate from this take away several times and they have all been fantastic , hot tasty food every time , can get very busy but wouldn’t expect nothing less with the great food served here

We were staying in the area and picked this for a takeaway one evening. The food was packed full in the container, a good mixture of meat and veg. OK for us.

Have used this Chinese regularly for a long time. Food has always been ok and good selection but of late you seem to wait ages for collect (on 2 occasions have waited 1/2 hour after the scheduled collection time!) I understand that this is a busy place and it would be no problem waiting if we were told this upon ordering rather than turning up and just being told to wait!

Well... still on my mission to fine theeeeeeeeeeeee best Chinese and still failing to do so. Since I have moved to Norwich I just cannot find one so if anybody reading these reviews know of one please let me know. The curry was nice but I do not think you can go wrong with that. The sauce in the Chow Mein was really runny and greasy.

We had a variety of takeaway dishes, all beautifully cooked, presented and extremely tasty. Now our favourite Chinese restaurant having tried many others locally - this one is the best by far. They are currently closed for Chinese New Year until 22nd February.

My family and I will not go here again as the food made us have the runs and an upset stomach. It all looks OK from the front but it was not worth the pain we had afterwards.

The food was not bad for a takeaway and service was very quick. Only real downside is that they only take cash payments. However would go back again as very convenient

18 in number .rented local accommodation .placed a large order on our final night. really great service and food.The two ladies on the counter that evening were so helpful and pleasant.

Whilst on holiday in the area, we had Wandering Dragon meals from here. It was ready within 5 minutes and was excellent quality and flavour

I live in Hong Kong so I'm familiar with good Asian food. Full River is very good in all respects ~ quality and authenticity. I always visit when in Norfolk. Well done guys, keep up the great food and friendly, efficient service.

My family and I have been using this Chinese for 17 years and have NEVER had a bad takeaway.

I had chicken curry, chicken fried rice and prawn crackers from here, a single portion, enough for one person, which cost £13.

This is a takeaway chinese. We go here regularly and always have lovely food wherever we choose. The staff are lovely too. Fast and efficient.

Not many in our area, food always ok nothing else you can say really Thai better form another establishment and they deliver

Normally amazing food/ normally my favourite Chinese. But it doesn’t taste as good anymore. I’m not sure if they’ve changed how they cook things or something but just not as good now. Hopefully they read this review so they can change it back lol.

Had a takeaway from here on our last night on the broads it's obviously very popular for the amount of people that were going in and the telephone orders that were coming through we had Singapore rice and Singapore noodles sweet and sour good quick service excellent

Soooo good. It's always amazing never had a problem. Friendly staff. Food is quick, but always hot and cooked properly. Love it.

Gran servicio y muy rápido, pero a veces decepcionado con la comida. Varias de las salsas parecen ser bastante similares, por ejemplo, la salsa y el bambú de anacardo y salsa de castaño de agua disparar son prácticamente idénticos, aparte de la evidente diferencia!

Este es un fantástico llevar siempre, la producción de alimentos de alta calidad que es muy sabrosa y bien preparada. Excelente relación calidad-precio. Un personal encantador y un servicio excelente.

Nos alojamos en el local Travel Lodge y descubrió en el pueblo. Un servicio fantástico, una gran opción y una comida riquísima. Buena relación calidad-precio y un montón de arroz para dos personas en una porción.

Tenía una comida para llevar de aquí para cinco de nosotros y todos pedimos algo diferente, pero todas las comidas eran preciosas. Sabroso y aún caliente cuando llegamos a casa. No es el más barato, pero realmente agradable.

A few times now when I have ordered I have had meat products in vegetable or seafood dishes so pans are not cleaned between cooking or utensils are used for all dishes . On the whole the food is however good but really need to address things like this due to some dietary issues

Had a very disappointing takeaway from here, first and last time, small portions, stale oil taste, and horrid prawn crackers. Wont bother again

We gave this a punt as we're holidaying in the area and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was decent, although the portions of rice and noodles were a bit smaller than we were used to, but I guess the price reflects this. The meat was all of good quality and we all really enjoyed it.If you're in the mood for a Chinese, you can't go wrong.

Staying nearby on holiday & as its raining tonight, we decided to get a take away. Couldn't find a menu online anywhere, so drove there and ordered in person. There was a massive choice, but we had pretty much decided on the way there what we were having.The order was taken & we paid £24.10, which we thought was expensive. We had a portion of ribs, 1 rice, 1 soft noodles, a chicken curry & sweet & sour chicken. We didn't have to wait that long - maybe 10-15 mins max.We are staying less than 10 minutes drive away but wen we got back, the food wasn't as hot as we would have liked.I think its always difficult to have food from somewhere new, when you're used to your regular take away!However, to sum it up, the service was quick and the food was ok.

We go to Norfolk once a year and do different things each year but the one thing we do every year is go here for food, we can be staying on the broads stop at acle bridge and go to acle to get our tea, last couple of years we have stayed at Vauxhall and have driven the 5 mins to acle to get our tea

Visited during a family trip to Reedham in the Norfolk broads, the food was very good, and the service was excellent and very quick, considering a large order well done

We were staying at the Travelodge and found a number of restaurants extremely busy and a long wait. Decided to go to this takeaway. Asked if they could supply forks and the very friendly lady on the till asked if we were at the Travelodge and sorted out forks, spoons, paper plates and napkins. Food was excellent and despite them being very busy we didn't have to wait very long. Will certainly use them again when in the area. Well done to the team.

Used this takeaway twice as it was so good, chicken curry was the best I have tasted as it was mild and did not set my tongue on fire. Holidayed at Reedham about 6 miles away and food was piping hot when we collected it and drove back to Reedham. Reasonable too, will use again next year when we come back.

Always lovely food if they forget something just call them and you can with pop back or they give you it next time you go in always helpful and friendly . The menu is good and they will always change things around to accommodate you . Service can take time when they are busy but that is for a reason, it's because they are good and people want the food offered so phone ahead with order and they will give you a rough time so your not hanging about . Downside I have had chicken in my prawn curry before and as I don't eat chicken ( non meat eater but eat fish ) this is not acceptable in any way so they need to address things like this before someone with an allergy has a major problem !

I placed a telephone order for 5 meals and was told that delivery would be one 1 hourwhen the hour was up I telephoned again and was told they had been trying to phone me to tell me there would be a delay (I did not make or receive any calls during the intervening period). I was told the order would be delivered in 30 minutes. I phoned when the 30 mins. were up and was told the order would be with me in another 30 mins. After a total of 2 hours I phoned again and asked whether they had started cooking the order they replied that they had not. I cancelled the order (we would probably still be waiting for it)

Placed large order over phone for £58 and when checked later had been overcharged by £5+ and one item was missing but because they don't deliver didn't want to return to collect item - bit poor really, should be able to get orders correct. Whilst we were there waiting for order two phone calls were taken with items missing - so beware!

The woman on desk was very helpful and efficient. Food was prepared and ready in 10 minutes. We had the special curry, egg fried rice and prawn toast. Curry was full of flavour hand had a good kick to it (highly recommended). Got a bag of prawn crackers thrown in for free to.

This takeaway used to be great, we stayed away for a long time as it went downhill but decided to give it another try. We've now had 2 takeaways in a row where the food is undercooked and cold, not good when we predominately order chicken dishes! The first time my 2 year old was really sick in the early hours and I'm convinced it was the undercooked chicken which he'd eaten before we realised!Tonight I've thrown the whole lot in the bin again!! No more chances - they need to sort it out before they make someone else ill!

Got a takeaway from here, really nice staff and food was good quality, I would have food from here again, and the village is a nice place to walk around too

Don't bother this place is extremely poor quality Chinese food. Go to New World Brundall loads nicer food. This place is a real let down.

So annoyed with this place.. not the first time but will be the last! Ordered our food as tired from a busy day.. asked for king prawn sweet and sour but no batter or balls just king prawns in sauce with veg.. came bk n was in batter!! Not only that but was cold!! I don't know how many times I went over the order but then to have it wrong is just ridiculous!! My little girl (7 years) was too tired to wait so I reluctantly gave her hers.. tbf I wasn't happy giving it to the dog never mind my child! The rest went bk to be corrected.. not even an apology!! Disgusting!! I believe in second chances but that's the last.. will not be ordering from here again.. really disappointed, annoyed and put out.. wouldn't mind but over priced too.. i don't mind paying if it's good quality, what we ordered and hot.. sort it out full river!!

Have a takeaway from full river about once a fortnight. So far never had a bad one. Always our first choice for a takeaway. Friendly staff and never too much time waiting for you food.

Lovely take away...prawns , peking duck, vegtables with satay sauce.....all great. Very tasty and hot and fresh.

Used this local takeaway on various family occasions. Usually around 8-10 of us so able to get a good cross section of dishes to share. Several family favourites on the menu but try new dishes from time to time. Very rare disappointed & always enough for everyone for around a £10-15 spend per head.Recommend the Lemon Chicken, Sweet & Sour & Special Cantonese & Peking cuisine. Service always prompt given the size of our order

We had a lively takeaway from Full River Chinese. We had various dishes as there was 8 of us and every dish was absolutely delicious and can honestly say it was the one of the best Chinese I have tasted in a long time. Well worth a visit!!

We moored up at Acle for the night and the weather was shocking. There's not many restaurants to eat at but due to the bad weather we decided to order a takeaway.Full River took a very large order from us (there were 8 of us). There were some modifications to some dishes but they took it in their stride and promised to deliver within half an hour. True to their word the food turned up on time, we met them in the car park. All the modifications to dishes we specified were carried out and the food was hot. It was also very tasty and good value for money.Definitely worth a try. Most enjoyable.

I have been to this takeaway several times and it is certainly one of the best Chinese takeaways in Acle, to my knowledge it may be the only Chinese in Acle but just in case there is another one then this one is certainly in the top two.The food is ok but to agree with one of the previous reviews it is more than expensive than most and the portions are smaller. The curry sauce is very good and the chips are very good but the other dishes (and I've tried a few) are just average.If you want a Chinese and you want to get it from a takeaway in Acle then this is deffo the place for you. If not why not try somewhere else, and if you aren't in Acle then don't bother making a special journey!

We visit Acle regularly and almost always have a takeaway from here at some point. Contrary to the previous review we have always been very happy with the food and never had anything to complain about. I suggest you give it a go and make up your own mind but I would be surprised if you are disappointed. Happy to recommend.

Even though I work in Acle and have done for the past few years I had never tried the Full River Chinese takeout, until now.The Full River was recommended by a work colleague, and feeling a bit lazy I thought I would go and pick up a dinner for me and the wife on the way home. What a total waste of time and money this turned out to be.The first thing I noticed was the (extortionate) price. I have the same thing when I have a Chinese takeout so I don’t need to look at a menu before ordering, which was a big mistake this time. I expect a slight variation on price but when I was asked for £27.70 I was flabbergasted and lost for words since I pay £21.80 from my normal Chinese takeout. I was not overly impressed paying 27% more than I usually would, but what could I do? The Full River is one expensive Chinese takeout and the most expensive one I can think of in Acle, Norwich and indeed the surrounding area.Now then, the additional cost would have been worth it if the portion sizes were large and the food was tasty, but this was not the case. The portion sizes were smaller than what we were used to and the food was terrible.The batter on the mixed sour balls was overcooked and crispy, the meat centres were tough and dry (especially the pork balls) and they were tasteless. The special fried rice had a small amount of egg, meat and peas in it and it was greasy to the point of being sloppy and it wasn’t pleasant. The kung po chicken wasn’t at all spicy and was more like a sweet and sour dish, which is fine if you like that sort of thing but if you want something with a chilli kick (like me) the dish is well below standard.The schezuan beef was okay, and was the best part of the meal. It wasn’t as tasty as the normal schezuan beef dish we buy but it wasn’t bad. Whilst the beef was okay it was over a pound more expensive than what I usually buy, so the beef dish isn’t that great when you consider this.Overall I have to say that I was very disappointed with the Full River Chinese takeout and I definitely won’t be going there again. The portion sizes are small (which isn’t a bad thing given the taste of it), the food is virtually inedible and it is very expensive, and because of this there is no way I would ever recommend the Full River Chinese takeout.
