The Szechuan tofu was mainly carrots, it had hardly any tofu in. I’ve seen a recent review of something saying the same with another dish. Food was fine other than that but not great.

Always order from here however.... tonight the schezuan chicken was mostly carrot and peppers/ no chicken. The chips were cold as was the chow mein. Very poor . Will go elsewhere in future even tho its on our doorstep. Standards slipping good rep going fast. EDIT Gave it another chance....mistake!! Ordered 6 mini spring rolls and was given one huge giant sour tasting thing. Very overpriced now. £27 for 2 ? Nah . That's it never coming back

I walked in to order, it was a bit of a wait but they were busy so that's expected. Food was really nice 👍

We received our £70 order missing an item, we called and let the staff know and we were told to bring the box in to prove we were being thruthful. When we went in and proved we were missing our item, they said they can no longer help us and slammed the door on us. They would not provide a refund for the missing item, nor provide us with what we ordered. They only deal in cash so could not even request a refund via my bank. Would not reccomend them to anyone, terrible service, overly greasy food, a manager who slams doors on customers, and a delivery driver who thinks he has authority over his incapable 'manager'...

Food great service is good it's just a shame they charge for prawncrackers

Ordered a delivery.,told 45 mins.2 hours later got food and they got the order wrong.

Never been to fussed about Chinese takeaway until i tried this place. Had several takeaways from here and they've always been great. The Thai selection is good too.

Really good local Chinese, it’s hard to find a Chinese that has good ingredients and isn’t greasy nowadays! Portion size is good and not massive which is good in our eyes as the quality is much better!

Been here many times before but this time… They are served old stinking food. After ringing to warm them about this, so they wouldn’t serve it to anybody else. They did not care and said it was cooked fresh. I wasn’t after a refund just didn’t want anybody else to get that awful old food served and get ill! We’re now sitting here hoping we are not going to get food poisoning. Will not be returning to this Chinese again!

Wow. What flavours. Amazing Chinese food the best we have had in ages. Chilli salt and pepper chips. Special Chow Mien. Ginger and spring onion beef. Sweet n sour chicken balls and Cantonese bbq ribs. Superb. Also delivered well in time and piping hot food. Highly recommend. The lady taking order was so helpful 5* service 👍👍👍👍👍

Most of our food selection was so unpleasant we didn’t eat it and threw it away. Such a waste of ingredients. The crispy duck was ok, but cucumber tasted of soapy water. Prawn crackers also ok after crisping up in the oven.

I am prone to comparing Chinese/ Cantonese establishments with my favourite in my home town and only twice in my travels throughout the united kingdom have I been truly delighted with what I've received, this evenings meal being the second We ordered pancake rolls, prawn crackers, sweet and sour chicken cantonese style and shredded chilli beef with egg fried rice and it was absolutely spot on ! Very good size portions and just perfect, couldnt fault it at all, plus the staff were fast and efficient and exuded a fun working atmosphere between them, highly recommended, will be back soon

This chinese is excellent - they di a fab deal on a Tuesday - 3 mains for £12 and the selection is vast. Always fresh and on time

We live locally and like the occasional takeaway from here; I like the sweet & sour dishes and my son loves the spring rolls. It does get very busy so best to ring and collect, otherwise can be a wait.

Very dirty looking place, and the smell coming from the back of the shop is terrible ! Makes you wonder what on earth they are cooking. Certainly would not buy anything from here.

Had our very first Tongs Chinese takeaway this evening and really enjoyed it! It was hot, nice size portions and so tasty! We'll be back! Thank you Tongs. 😊

Having been loyal customers of Tongs for a while we were shocked and disgusted with the attitude of the staff and owners. We waited over 2 hours for the food, chased it up 3 times, when it arrived it was cold so phoned again. Was offered 20% off next order but I asked for a partial refund instead. I could hear the owner shouting 'No!' in the background. I said there wouldn't be a next time and that they had now lost a loyal customer to which came the reply 'its OK, we have lots of customers' Had the girl on the phone not been so rude this review wouldn't have been written. Word of mouth goes a long way!

Really good, really quick service, even phoned in at 9:30 just as they where about to close, cooked and delivered lovely and quick. Was very hot as well!

we have used this restaurant for a few years now and it seems to have grown in popularity, sadly in my experience that hasn't been a good thing. boring I know but we always have a chicken curry, value for money now s very poor, lots of peas an onion but only five small bits of chicken , I would rather pay for the rice and get a bigger portion of curry. may have to give it a miss for a while. any suggestions??? I have since started using them again and the food is very good again, deliveries can be long because of the area they cover 👍 continuing to use tongs and quality and service is back up there 👍👍 several months on and once again food and service is excellent

We were in the area for the first time staying at a B&B, they recommended this takeaway to us. It’s situated in a little shopping complex with a few other shops to wander around as you wait about 30mins for the meal to be cooked, including Morrison’s. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take our food back to our room, so we went prepared with our picnic plates and cutlery, dishing up at the boot of our car in the pouring rain. The food was nice enough, although the chicken balls were very small and there didn’t seem to be as much food in the tubs as any other chinese takeaway we’ve ever used or maybe they use smaller size tubs.

Thought we’d try here for a change from out normal takeaway and really wish I hadn’t! Curry was like water, small container and very little meat or veg in it. Half the portion I normally receive for the same price. Chicken balls were very small although tasted ok. Crispy shredded beef tasted of butter which isn’t what I wanted it to taste of! Chicken chow main and chicken with green pepper in black bean sauce were passable. £35 for what I thought wasn’t worth much more than a tenner. Won’t be back

Always s great place to go for takeaway, very helpful, great food, brilliant price, and staff go that extra bit by helping get the door so I can get my electric wheelchair through, and are always welcoming of my assistance dog.

That was a wicked chicken village curry i just had awesome 🙂

I've been getting takeaway from here for as long as I can remember, the service is incredible, the staff wonderful and the food is the best in the county.

Unauthentic, very greasy and just not very Chinesey! They also added far too many peas and onions to pad it out. Still looking for a decent Chinese in Norwich but getting a bit stuck.

Don't deliver to Spixworth anymore which is a shame as it's only 1 mile away

I have been coming here for years, the food is worth a 15 minute drive, the happy chap behind the counter was a delight. But I think he left, shame. This time, ordered on the ‘phone, given a time (50 minutes), arrived, waited a full 1/2 hour longer, (prawn crackers as an apology). The place was full of bored people waiting, 4g good and plenty of comics to read, (perhaps the odd broadsheet to pass the time?) The youngster behind the counter had all the charisma of a traffic warden, not what you want from front of house, dealing with disgruntled customers, answering the ‘phone to take orders with all the panache of a really bored basset hound. Suggest you get the happy bloke back and more kitchen staff in when busy. I will be back as the food is nice and good value, perhaps not on a busy night though.

Best Chinese around. Always on time with delivery and food is nice.. Highly recommend

We ordered home delivery and although it came in good time they forgot 2 of our dishes and when we called to tell them and ask to deliver them they shouted at us, after a long heated conversation with them they told us we would have to wait an hour for them and pay the delivery again!

We ordered from here reluctantly as when using previously when the food eventually arrived 2 of our 12 items were missing. We were given the privilege of being charged for this service also, when we called them to explain what had happened they called us liars and didn’t believe a word of it. We thought we would give them another chance after ordering £50+ worth of food, we couldn’t not believe it when the food arrived an hour and a half after ordering and the exact same thing had happened, this time however we had been charged for the missing food again, but this time they offered to drop the missing bits back round which was good, then as we were finishing our meal the door went, and there was the delivery driver with more food and he was asking us to pay a 2nd time for the missing items! They wouldn’t show us any receipts for the previous payment we had made. We were made to feel like we were the ones ruining their meal with their friends, disgusting customer service will literally never go back here.

Food is good shame about the terrible customer service. Twice our order has been incorrect. When you phone and complain you are shouted about in the back ground and told you are lying. We gave Tongs a second chance but unfortunately won’t be going back after the rude service from the owners.

fab chinese we always go here and i cant believe though low score hence the review. kung po chicken is my fav and meal for one is what we always have , tried a different one the other day bottom of silver road (very poor, raw batter and sauce tasted very rank, tbh) and other one near wood man , they do not come close.

Cuando finalmente lo conseguimos, hacía mucho frío y tuvimos que volver a calentarlo en el microondas. Ordenado de nuevo esta noche con un pedido más grande para toda la familia y han estropeado nuestro pedido. Cuando llamé, la chica se puso muy comilona y no me dejó hablar con el gerente. Encontrar este servicio al cliente absolutamente repugnante y no volveré.

Usamos las tenazas porque nunca tienen que esperar demasiado tiempo y la comida siempre es caliente y sabrosa. Hay mucho para elegir, además de comidas preparadas.Si amigos de visita que pedir de tenazas porque sabemos que siempre estará satisfecho y tenazas es razonable.

The food is nice if you get what you have ordered but the man who took the order over the phone added an extra item that I did not ask for, a beef curry but we do not eat red meat and neither liked that flavour sauce. Even if I have not ordered it, he made us paid for it because it was my fault as he said I have a thick accent, that's a great customer service considering that his boss is probably not English either :(

Go here if you want a long wait and getting stressed. My poor pregnant girlfriend was waiting in shop from 730 and finally got food at 820. Rang and ordered food at 645. Nobody has any organisation in the place.

Been using regularly as food quite good .Had a couple of messed up orders but the icing on the cake was ordered food at 5 oclock delivered at 6.30 cold..wet from the rain..yukky.When I called to tell them the response was "We'll try and get it hot next time "(No next time for me)

TERRIBLE!! Ordered meal at 6:45 was told to collect at 7:30, arrived at 7:30 and had to wait an hour again, during this hour I was told my food will be 10 minutes, half an hour later it was still not ready. Service was awful so many people were complaining and their complaints were being laughed off along with saying they can't find their order. I could hear the lady in the back crying out with stress! No organisation, no apologies were given. When we finally got our food after a 2 hour wait it was lukewarm. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO SET UP CAMP AND BE VERY DISSAPOINTED!

1st and last time!!!!! Unorganised shambles when I ordered my food in the shop was not informed of a delay - then sat in shop waiting over 40 mins - at this point I had to get back to my children so my husband could go to work - changed my order to delivery and then went home to wait over another hour for my food it arrived nearly 2 hours after ordering and was cold and missing the plum sauce for my duck!!! With not even an apology I'm now a broken hungry woman - DONT NOT USE TONGS

Dreadfully long wait, was told after i ordered by phone to collect in 45 minutes, got in at the time they asked me to and had to wait another hour to finally get my food, kept asking in the hour how long the food would be and kept getting 'ten minutes'... half an hour later still no food. Other customers waiting also had this problem and people were even ringing up asking where their delivery was. Unless you want to spend most of your evening waiting for your food, DO NOT go here!!!! Stay away!

I have a local Chinese in the village but don't use it as Tong's food and portion size are bigger and better. Always a happy customer after feast from there. Waiting time is not bad either, depends if you catch them at the right time.

We were very disappointed with our set meal for 2. The chicken was obviously processed, the beef was chewy and overall it was far too salty in taste. A previous meal before was tasty and cooked well.

Mi novio fuimos a recoger un chino para 3 personas para llevar el sábado 12 de diciembre aproximadamente 6 pm. Una vez fue traído a casa uno de los platos era incorrecto. Nos llamó para explicar lo que había pasado y quería el plato que estaba equivocado entregado a nosotros lo antes posible y otro plato que era para comer con la equivocada sustituido, ya que se estaría entonces coger frío. Estuvieron de acuerdo en pero pedimos que llevar los platos no queríamos/mal, me imagino que esto es para demostrar que no estaba mintiendo. Los platos llegamos aproximadamente 15 minutos más tarde. El hombre en el teléfono pidió disculpas ADM admitió que era culpa suya ya que nos llevó el orden, no nos molestó enormemente ya que todo el mundo se equivoca y el error fue resuelto y corregido rápidamente. La comida siempre era encantador y caliente. 4 estrellas sólo porque un simple error fue hecho y luego tuvimos que comer a veces separadas. Sigo utilizar esta llevar chinos en el futuro, no ha impedido el error de ir a otro lugar :)

Hemos estado utilizando Tong es llevar durante años, siempre ha sido buena, cuando mediante una patch hace unos pocos de ser impredecible. En ese momento nos pareció que otra llevar a usar. Probamos los nuevo unas cuantas veces de Tong recientemente y tengo que decir que está de vuelta a la excelente mejor nuevo.

Esta llevar nunca falla en la comida, no chino tailandés, platos japoneses Udon. cuando estamos aquí en Norfolk siempre son un punto de comer aquí.

I use tongs on a regular basis.! Delivery time is always good even on a Saturday.! Food is what you'd expect from a chinese.! Always my first call if Chinese is on the cards..

We've been using Tongs for about a year now and I wouldnt go anywhere else for our chinese. Our favourites are the gravy (which is thick and super tasty), sweet and sour chicken cantonese style and crispy chilli beef. The food always tastes great and is a good temperature on arrival - even though its a good 15/20 minute journey round the city. Delivery time is always as estimated, often earlier. Handy as they are on the 'Just Eat' website so you can pay by card for a small fee.

The food was nice and hot and very nice would go again
