I have ordered here for a while but since ordering a few times I have received bad service and rudeness from the staff and tonight I have gotten food poisoning from their prawns here. Do not recommend!!

Great takeaway restaurant. Food is reasonably priced and the portions are generous, particularly the rice and noodle dishes. Note cash or bank transfer needed, no cards.

Food quality not great, partner complained about chicken balls being too greasy, chow mein dry and tasteless. And not happy that they only take cash so had to go withdraw money out and return to collect lukewarm food😐

Not a bad little takeaway, reasonably priced and quite tasty

One of the dishes (the chow main) was so burnt it was inedible and stank our house out. I understand accidents happen in the kitchen, but you make it again, not put it in a sealed container and serve it to customers. They also state on their menu/online that they take card payments - they do not! Disappointing, won’t be going back.

The food here is very good also well priced in comparison to others , my only down point is that it seems to be the norm that its CASH only it cought me out the first time. I have been back 3 times and I can't see that changing. BUT friendly staff and well portioned.

Very enjoyable food. Chicken with peanut sauce and black bean sauce both very tasty. Extra mixed vegetable dish was very varied and well cooked. Will be back.

Food usually ok. Been going for years but Cash only really messes things up when you don’t have anything but your phone with you to pay. Cash only seems to be becoming a regular thing. This visit (first time) I thought I had the correct amount for just one meal (having been pre warned on the phone) but the menu on their Facebook page was out of date so I was 40p short. Couldn’t buy my daughters meal. Drove away empty handed having tried 3 bank machines over the next 30 minutes looking for a card less transaction. Captive audience in Horsford ensures survival but poor performance.

From our order the only thing we could eat was the egg fried rice and chicken chow mein! The chicken curry was hard and completely inedible! I pulled out a long hair wrapped around the chicken too! It made me feel sick and went straight in the bin. The chicken balls were so hard you couldn’t even bite into them and pull the chicken apart. Myself and my husband wish we hadn’t have wasted our money and just cooked at home instead of treated ourselves tonight. Not good!

The last 3 times I have had take out the food has progessively gotten worse. Had the chicken peking ...which tasted heavily of salt...and a king prawn chow mein which tasted weird...x2 simply dishes but we had to throw it all away...any recommendations please for a good Chinese...used to use Lucky Star but that went down hill when the owner left.

Good food but poor food rating and effort to improve

Had bought Chicken wings a week ago....It was way too salty..We could not anymore and we were forced to throw it away.Never going to return again.✌🏻

Tried this Chinese just to see what it was like. Can honestly say it is the best we have had for a while. Even reheated the next day and would never feel safe doing that from anywhere else. Going there again tonight 🤤😋

Food was horrible, the peas in the "special" fried rice were still frozen, the rice was only boiled and had stuff chucked in it. The curry sauce, well, absolutely disgusting. The s+s chicken balls, well, my dog didn't even like it. If you have taste buds I would stay clear. Putting no stars was not an option.

Ordered over £30 worth of food, made it VERY clear i have an allergy to mushrooms of any kind. Took a mouthful of first dish, to fin8d several mushrooms. I phoned up to tell them, and they basically did not even care, "well the chef said he didn't put any in" I said so you say I'm lying about these mushrooms sitting here? Why would I lie about it. I can't eat the dish and now have to wait and see if I will get ill because I may have ingested some . Clearly have no clue about importance of allergies or customer care. Shocking

Despite being unable to order over the phone on Christmas Eve my over-the-counter order was ready in 15 minutes. When we got to eat it the food was delicious. They were extremely busy from 4.30 pm so that speaks for itself.

Peanut allergy? Don't risk it! We had a very poor experience with the Hong Kong. After using the messaging service we were confidently and reassuringly told that there would be no peanuts in my partners meal - 'fresh utensils will be used and the area will be wiped down to ensure no cross contamination occurs'. It is fortunate that we mentioned the allergy again when ordering on the phone, for we were then told that peanut oil was used in everything and there was absolutely no way they could avoid cross contamination. These mixed messages are very concerning and I would discourage anyone with nut allergies!

This place used to be great, but the old gentleman working behind the counter needs to get someone younger in! The last four meals something is wrong or missing, so I have to check the order on the counter, I am always in the wrong for their mistakes! I have stopped phoning in as I thought that was the problem, but the service is poor the food is still better than others!

Having used this takeaway almost every Saturday night for the past 14 years, on collecting my £34 takeaway last week I was £4 short. They refused to allow me to take it until paid in full. No option to bring the £4 later in the evening or the next day, like any reasonable takeaway would do after using it for 14 years. Had to return home and get the money which took me 20 minutes. After getting the food home it was stone cold. With customer service and attitudes like that I will be staying well clear of this takeaway.

Our favourite place to go for chinese take out. Wide variety to choose from on their menu. You can phone through your order and they will give you a time to collect, or you can order when you arrive. Plenty of off road parking.

I popped in on a referral from a friend. I ordered the crispy chilli beef. It was gorgeous. Well cooked, very quick. The pretty woman at the counter was nice too, very friendly.

Salt and pepper chicken was like rubber..didnt eat it, egg fried rice was tasteless. Only good thing is it didn't take long to wait for it. Shame as this use to be a nice Chinese

Food is always great, decent sized portions and reasonably priced. But a woman (staff member there) always seems a bit miserable.

Lovely food and service but often closes early, advertised as open until 11. Disappointing for all the family.

Best Chinese take out in nr10 area

The staff on the whole are very efficient and friendly, there is however one you had who never gets the order right. As for the food it is always very good and enough of it to do at least 2 meals, it is reasonable priced and is a firm family favorite.

This is the best Chinese food you can get from a takeaway & I should know I've tried them all over the UK. Friendly staff & very reasonably priced. Thank God they are in Horsford. I've been a customer for a lot of years since it opened & i won't go anywhere else. Love it

We always opt for the 'chefs special' it fills a plate with a great variety of flavours. The chefs special is around the same price as a McDonalds, so its amazing value for money as it certainly tastes a lot nicer!

Staff are friendly, I always love a fast food restaurant that answers a phone 10 mins before they open to take your order. Food is always well cooked

We just love their food. Waiting times are short, and nice polite service always received. It's the best Chinese takeaway in the area, in our opinion.

There are varieties of food like chicken, king prawn, beef dishes, english dishes as well as Thai menus. Succulent and juicy chicken satay are highly recommended!! Chili king prawn (150 on the menu list) chrispy chili beef(152 on the menu) will simply melt in your mouth! The sticky and nice sweet&sour sauce is a must too!! It might be the case that customers have to wait slightly longer but it is extremely worth to wait. Good and friendly receptionist too. Lovely and great atmosphere! Will rate 9/10.
