Had a family 50th birthday party the young lads behind the bar was very friendly Food was mediocre nothing to scream about Bar staff on a whole was all in black some of them was not overly clean and untidy but they did look a lot cleaner and tidy of the landlord and landlady who just sat on the patio smoking and drink Did here a couple of comments come from there table about our party but didn’t hear it all When we asked for the canopy to be extended it seemed to be more of a chore and a moan Would we go back again that’s debatable although the view was very good from the garden

Always a great visit when here with a good valiety of beers, lagers, wheat beers etc on sale. Lovely friendly staff always willing to help, well done Gals and Guys.

Stopped here for a quick bite in the evening whilst passing through. Limited menu, I had pie and chips. It was hot and tasty so no complaints. I sat at a small corner table and when I went to put my bag on the floor my elbow got caught up in a whole nest of cobwebs that ran floor to ceiling. Moved to a different table and when I looked at the carpet it was glistening with slug slime! Yes you read that right!! Trails and trails of slug slime all over the carpet. I went to put my bag on the chair next to me. The chairs are covered with faded pink felt like fabric that would have been all the rage in the 70s but it was thick with long hairs all trapped in the fabric. The window sills were covered with dead flies. The bar man - am I allowed to say man in these politically correct times?? The bar person / server was however very friendly, welcoming and polite. Very depressing place, definitely needs a clean and makeover.

Stopped for a quick lunch today as we were visiting the town, really enjoyed the location and decor. Very attentive host and staff. We chose off the main menu. I had chicken in stilton with smashed new potatoes and veg, it was excellent and extremely generous portion, would highly recommend it. Husband had steak and chips, again excellent. There was a really great specials lunch menu only £10. Overall we were really impressed and look forward to returning.

Went in there on my own 5.30 Saturday about 6?people in the bar 2 persons watching which sounded like a porno film it was unbelievable the lady bar staff done nothing, the sound was louder than the back ground music Never will I visit this pub again, it deserves to be closed down

I came here with for lunch while my dog was at the groomers. The place was packed which was a good indication of its popularity. The food was great, very fresh and very tasty. I had the vegan sandwich option and my partner had the vegetarian breakfast. The coffee was good and hot and the cakes were amazing. My daughter and I had the vegan shortbread with pecan topping. It was the best cake I have eaten for a long time and a good size too. Would definitely recommend it and return - for the cakes alone.

Food was lush, definitely be my local. Bets anything in norwich

The fish was bony and the batter soggy would not recommend. And had to wait for it to be cooked .

Love this place! The service here is always phenomenal and they always seem to get my drink spot on. Spoke with Paige at the shop about an initial problem with an order and this was rectified immediately and have never had a problem since. Would highly recommend. Great coffee! Great service even better people!

Went to the kings Head Acle with my family this evening very nice inside the pub . We all ordered different meals and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Will be going again. Served by Harriet . Staff very friendly

This is the last of this family's chain of restaurants we've tried ... and it didn't disappoint! The menu is very similar to its sibling's menus, which we expected. Containing a great selection of different foods. I went for the halibut and chocolate brownie. The fish was melt-in-your-mouth and the brownie sooo chocolaty, I won't need any more sweet stuff for a month. Service is exceptional from the friendly crew. Prices are on the high side as you'd expect for a meal (and service) of this quality.

This is the 2nd time we’ve been to this Costas and both times they served stale cakes! Won’t be visiting again . Did complain the first time and asked to change the cake which the staff weren’t happy about it as the 2nd choice may have cost a few pennies more which I did say I was happy to pay! Costas you need to spend more of your huge profits on extra staff who can clean up the tables and sweep the floors in between customers sitting at the tables instead of customers having to move the used trays to sit there!

We ordered a takeaway at 6pm which was due to be collected at 6:30pm. That didn’t happen… We arrived at 6:30pm and they were quick to take our money. No rough estimate of time but we sat down and waited and waited we did. After 45 minutes we found out that someone else had been waiting for an hour already. After an hour we asked if they had a rough time estimate. He replied that it’ll be 5/6 minutes. We carried on waiting with everyone else who had been waiting for 45 minutes also. We then got to an hour and 20 minutes, we requested our money back and said we don’t want food anymore. The main man was reluctant to give us our money and told us it’s coming. The food then arrived and we asked what we are getting in return for waiting an hour and a half, his response…. A bottle of Coke. The food was delicious but waiting an hour and a half for it and getting laughed at and getting told you’re moody from a worker when you’re asking how long it’s going to be isn’t great.

La he comido varias veces por la noche cuando me hospedo por negocios en el hotel. Los tiempos de espera son generalmente largos y la comida bastante normal. Los entrantes son particularmente decepcionantes. Una apuesta segura es el filete de solomillo. Evitaría la mayoría de las otras opciones. There is plenty of competition in Aylsham for good bread, rolls and cakes but this is still our go to bakers. The quality and value is excellent and the staff are always very helpful ( happy to put rolls aside for me to collect later). I would recommend the cheese straws and rolls but the cakes are delicious too.
