Landamore's in Broadland

The fish was bony and the batter soggy would not recommend. And had to wait for it to be cooked .

Only ordered chips and they upset my stomach severely - very greasy and soggy.

Had a lush meal from here last summer. The Fish was so good

We had to wait for our fish to be cooked, were told all fish fresh, thats definitely not the case the fish was old probably from the freezer, batter was hard on top then runny gooie . Chips were ok very dissappointing given the wait.

I have been getting my fish and chips from landsmores for at least 12 years We travel from Norwich especially They are the best fish and chips I’ve had and I’m fussy about my food The staff are very nice and always give you what you ask for I can not praise this fish and chip shop enough Thank you for excellent service Mrs Patricia Fincham

Smallest portion sizes I’ve ever seen. No option for salt and vinegar. Selective with who they give carrier bags too. They get ordered wrong, asked for a plain sausage for given the scraps of a battered one.

Oh dear. Despite my first time there being one of my best chips and battered sausage I've ever had, today was my second time that I tried this Fish&Chips. Unfortunately today my chips were soft, soggy, greasy and quite awful. My battered sausage tasted nothing like batter nor sausage. It tasted like burned batter and even the texture was disgusting I had to throw it away in the end after trying it with a bite or two. Couldn't eat it for how bad it was despite me trying to. Portion size is great but overall I'm very disappointed with the quality of my meal. Might have been a bad day but from the latest reviews it looks to me like they are on a consistently bad phase. I really do hope they will use this feedback to improve their standards again and give me the same great chips I had the first time around. They were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS back then. Edit in response to the owner's reply: I suspected it was due to new season and that's why I gave 2 stars rather than 1. But felt quite disappointed with the battered sausage too as I already said it tasted burned and nothing like a battered sausage at all. I am still happy to give you another try though later on in a better season for chips. Thanks for your reply anyway

I have known of this family run business for many years and wish i lived closer to this fish & chip shop Always of very high quality and tasty fish and chips, There are very few that can compete with them

Decided on fish and chips as we are staying in Coltishall we went to Landamores and we were not disappointed it was really delicious it was all cooked fresh the staff were lovely and friendly will be going back again for sure

I am a regular And it is a lovely experience And I keep coming back

Excellent haddock and chips twice

We usually have great reviews of this local chippy, but today there was a table barring entrance to the shop with no explanation ?? ,several customers having to shout their orders across the doorway to the cook ,and then wait outside on the steps for what is usually lovely cooked to order food, but on this occasion 5 battered sausages and 2 large portion, s of chips were totally overcooked and , unpleasant,!! The batter on the sausages was very dark and brittle and the chips were dry and had lots of inedible overcooked bits in them . Sadly we will not be supporting our local chippy ,at this price we will travel to Wroxham. Sorry but cooked to order should not be like this ,and absolutely no explanation as to why customers can't even come in the shop ?? .

Awful chipy, popped in there one Thursday midday for the worst sausage and chips I've ever experienced, the chips were dreadful and the sausage was worse, he even keeps the salt and vinegar behind the counter so you can't help yourself (how tight)

We bought 5x fish and chips plus 2x sausage and chips plus extra every bit of fish was tiny and most had lots of bones plus the sausages were undercooked really gone down hill from when we lived there wont use again

Lovely food, great service, great prices and so convenient being able to order ahead on the app! If you're going there around November/December time be sure to try their amazing foot long pig in blanket!!!

Large cod, chips, large battered sausage cooked to order to perfection. Lovely crisp batter on the fish and not a soggy chip in sight. Excellent value.

Hubby bought chips home for his lunch. Really unedible. Seemed like yesterday's chips warmed up.

Very greasy fish and had a good few bones too

Had a very nice portion of chips from here. Still operating covid safe collection, from doorway. Signage indicated customers should order by phone, and in-person orders would only be taken if their was spare capacity. Staff were friendly and happily took my order for chips though. Payment is cashless (card only)

Disappointing, overly greasy with just the taste of the dripping it’s cooked in and not the cod itself. It is the only time I’ve left cod and chips half eaten, not because of the portion size just because it was poor quality and badly cooked. As a local this place has got worse each time I’ve stopped. Next time I will drive the extra 15 minutes and go to Broadland Fish and Chips in Stalham.

Really disappointed, everything very soggy, fish full of bones and completely varied portion sizes for all four of us. Couldn't taste the vinegar on the chips. Reasonably priced but not nice to eat. Had we been nearby when we ate it would have taken it back.

Sausages weren’t even nearly cooked threw Batter was still wet And this shop is one of those places you get warm coke from the fridge because the owner is to tight to turn the fridge on AVOID BUY A PACKET OF CRISPS FROM THE SHOP NEXT SOOR IF YOUR HUNGRY

This has to be one of the best fish and chip shops in Norfolk, exceptional service, lovely family ran local business, curry sauce to die for, hopefully a mushy pea fritter will be on the menu in the near future.... 10/10 chip shop

We were holidaying near by and took a chance at this chip shop. Ordering was excellent - done online and very easy. Can't fault that. However we were very disappointed with the food. The standard size cod was particularly small and had quite a lot of bones in... the chips were greasy and soggy. Both adults and children in our group didn't enjoy there meal and a lot of it was binned.

Got to be the worst fish and chips I’ve had: the fish was barely cooked and full of bones, the batter was horrible and the whole thing tasted of fat. The chips were both over and undercooked, very soggy and unpleasant to eat. Never go here!

Awful meal here, fish wasn’t cooked with skin left on and loads of bones! Chips were so greasy they were soggy and without any salt and vinegar either!! Do not eat here!!

We ordered on line and our order was ready on time when we collected. We had cod and chips, haddock and chips and curry sauce. This fish was cooked to perfection and just how we like it and the curry sauce was great as well. The service, under covid terms, was excellent. Very polite and friendly. We will be visiting again and have no hesitation in recommending Landamores.

The worst fish and chips ever. Fish cooked in old dark oil, with specs of black bits in the batter, lots of bones in the cod and the haddock, chips were greasy.

We are staying in Coltishall for a week and wanted a chippy tea for my birthday, what can I say it’s gone in the bin! Disgusting doesn’t even cover it, greasy limp horrible chips, burnt pancake roll and a saveloy that tasted of nothing, such a shame and waste of money, thank god we have cake!

Sadly I can not agree with the positive reviews for this Fish+ Chip shop. We are staying in Coltishall on holiday and thought after reading reviews and feeling hungry, we would give them a try. I'm afraid we both feel somewhat nausea due to the grease that was on the batter of our cod despite us wiping it with kitchen roll. As for the chips, they were just, soft. Unfortunately the whole experience was disappointing. We won't be going back for a repeat performance......

Terrible, absolutely terrible, over priced tiny portion of cod, full of bones, overdone chip's, bland tasteless batter I won't be returning and I strongly discourage anyone else from wasting their money.

We are staying in the village and arrived early Friday evening. We went down to the village to see if there was a fish and chip shop, found Landamore’s and cannot sing their praises enough we ordered cod and chips the fish was cooked perfectly ( no heavy batter) and the chips were so sweet would definitely recommend and certainly use again.

Stopped here for a quick meal off our boat on the Norfolk Broads. Very nice place, friendly staff.

I called in today at around 1.25pm as I passed through the village. What I didn’t realise was the shop shuts at 1.30pm. I ordered chips and a pie, fresh chips were cooked despite the shop about to close, it wasn’t any trouble for the lovely lady and nice chap in there, I'm assuming they were the owners. I felt terrible they were cooking just for me as just before closing time, but it wasn’t a problem for them. True brilliant service and I thank you for going to the trouble of cooking just for me, thank you

I had Haddock with chips. The fish was a little Grey and not as good as I've had there before. The chips on this occasion were terrible, obviously Blanched ,cooked and then it seemed like they were reheated. The children had Battered sausages with chips and the sausages smelt of Ammonia. We were home by then so they just threw them away as definitely inedible even dangerous if consumed i would say. Such a shame as on previous occasions it had been ok. Sorry guys i would rather be writing a positive review and saying i had enjoyed my dinner.

Oh dear, only visit this fish and chip shop if you are desperate and the lovely local pubs are shut or full. Stingy overpriced and overcooked portions, small portion of fish full of bones which is inexcusable, greasy , tastes of lard, small portion of chips. The worst chip shop we have ever come across. Will never return and suggest you don't either. Go to Wroxham.

Called in for fish and chips was near to where we were staying Ordered two large cod and one chips Fish was not that big for large so goodness knows how big the standard size is Would say they are nothing special but the chips were plentiful Will not return

chips were fairly greasy and not crispy-still tasted okay. chicken nuggets were good and fish was okay however the batter could have been crispier. Its definitely an improvement of a few years back.

Been using Landamores since I couldn't see over the counter and the owners daughter was in her pram out back. Never ever ever had a problem here. gets a very rare 5 green dot rating from me

Práctico para personas amarre sus barcos en Coltishall durante la temporada de vacaciones, y para nosotros los lugareños cuando nos sentimos como un estómago lleno de grasas y calorías.

Very friendly local establishment. Good variety for a F&C. Food is always fresh, done as you like it and hygiene rating is a 5.

visited this chip shop at the weekend, you could smell the oil from outside the shop and the lack of customers waiting should have been an indication not to go in!, however we were hungry after a long journey. They dont offer childrens portions and the prices were a bit steep, the chips were swimming in oil, the fish still had bones in and i wasnt offered salt and vinegar, even had to put the chips in a bag myself, in the very unlikely event im in the area again i wont be visiting, should have gone to one of the nice looking pubs in the area instead, be warned!

Posiblemente el mejor pescado y patatas fritas que jamás podrá degustar. He visitado esta fish and chips" en muchas ocasiones y nunca me ha decepcionado. Creo que la carne de uso de Landamore Dripping para cocinar su pescado y patatas fritas tradicional y todavía la mejor manera. El pescado es siempre tan fresco y las patatas fritas claramente son realizadas en las instalaciones. Yo vivo a 15 millas lejos de esta fish and chips" y como muchos otros hacen el viaje desde Norwich para visitar, conseguir mi pescado y patatas fritas y sentarse en el río y comer. Coltishall es una pequeña aldea de Norfolk y el "fish and chips" no sobreviviría si no era bueno.

Having visited Landamores recently, I was amazed that the 2 members of staff could look so miserable, the fish fryer didn't make any attempt to smile or greet his customers, The server didn't smile either, and struggled to make conversation and looked almost disapproving at the people in the shop.
