We visited for a breakfast. All was beautifully cooked, hot and fresh and probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had actually. Served by the chef herself.

Unfriendly reception. Website said open until 4pm. We arrived at 3.52pm after a nice long walk. Chairs were already all up on tables indicating they had been ready to close for some time. No cakes left on counters. Two women were present. I looked hopefully at the one behind counter. She said “everything is turned off. We close in eight minutes”. I asked if we could have a quick drink? She said only something cold nodding to cold shelves. My husband and I fancied a tea or coffee. No offer to out kettle on for quick mug of tea. There was one customer sitting outside with tea. I enquired if they had any cakes. “Just those croissants” she spat out - looking towards a few sad, dry looking pastries on otherwise empty shelves. No pleasantries or apologies were offered. We were clearly very very unwelcome. Won’t be rushing back. Horrible atmosphere.

Have just visited White House Farm Cafe, first time since the pandemic. We live locally and eat out for lunch regularly. We had 1 x tea 1 x small Americano and 2 x bacon butties. The food and drink were OK but at £21.90 we found our lunch very expensive compared to other places nearby.

I enjoyed my visit to White House Farm whilst staying at Norwich for a few days. The cafe in particular was nice with so much choice of home made cakes!! I had breakfast there which was really delicious and later had an Oreo brownie which did not dissapoint. I’ve not tasted a brownie like that before and will definately visit again just for that brownie!!! I’ve only seen gourmet brownies like that on instagram reels!!! It’s really nice to visit an authentic farm with home made goods as we don’t have many of those in London where I’m from. I will definitely visit White House farm again with my family and hope to buy more brownies in bulk for my trip back. Do you do a postal service for the brownies?

Nice farm to stop by for lunch or coffee break (vegetarian options available) and Dotty Pottery is a great addition to the farm. With family can easily spend couple of hours painting away. All painted products take few days to fire in the kiln so recommend do this activity beginning of the trip and pick up the artwork or they offer delivery service with a small charge.

Visited with a friend recently and was disappointed when they didn’t do things on the menu. No reason why, it was just a ‘no’. The lady was pretty rude. We opted for eggs Benedict which had a very over whelming about of sauce on, no one clesred our plates for the 2/3 hours we sat there! We used to visit this place offer, and they always has nice fresh food, with fresh fruit but nothing like that is available. Won’t be back in a hurry!

Have visited on several occasions and seems to be going backwards. They've now stopped serving the "all day breakfast" at 11:30, despite the fact it still says all day very clearly on the menu. After arguing with the cashier about it and being told it wasn't available opted for a sausage roll which was quite nice, but further let down by the lack of cake selection which was limited and contained very basic options (flapjack, and a very dry looking Victoria sponge). Probably won't return

Coffee is ok but the price of a bacon roll is horrendous at £5.50. The quality of the bap felt like it was mass produced whereas a roll from a local baker would have been much better quality I suspect. A nearby garden centre do a bacon roll at £1.99 which is far more acceptable. Definitely will never return for a thing cooked.

It is a cafe with bistro prices yet not bistro flavours. Coffee is very bitter and doesn't match the price. Can of soda is 1.70p. Limited cakes on offer, the ones I have had (on different occasions) have been dry, perhaps stale? There are much better priced cafes that offer better tasting coffee and better selection of fresh cakes.

First time I had been, but a frequent choice for one of our party. Order on arrival at the till point and then go and find a seat - you are given a spoon with your number on it. Coffees, teas, sausage rolls and almond croissants ordered and arrived promptly. Everything was spot on, and the sausage rolls weren't cheap but very tasty and succulent. I would side with some comments that the middle+ aged lady could be a little more welcoming and friendly, she could learn a bit from her younger colleagues. Make conversation etc. For this reason I hovered between a three and four but plumped for a four.

My friend was looking at the barns with a business opportunity in mind. So, we decided that while we were there, we would grab a bite. I chose the butternut squash and goats cheese quiche with salad and coleslaw. It was quite nice, although I couldn't taste the goats cheese at all, but cooked well with a lovely pastry, they were kind enough to get some salad dressing when asked as well. 1 person chose jacket potato with chilli and cheese, which she exclaimed to be fabulous! The other person chose a panini sandwich and said it was very nice. I must say that if I was a dessert eater, I'd have been very tempted by the cakes!

We walked here with a few friends and our dogs for a cuppa and a snack on a cold Saturday afternoon. The food was great as our previous visit and the reason we returned again so soon. The sausage rolls are superb and the cakes just as good. The dogs behaved so well and the staff brought them some dog treats which was very kind. We will visit again soon hopefully warm enough to sit outside but I am possibly being a bit optimistic until March or April time before we sit outside.

First impression was good, dog friendly, nice atmosphere and surroundings, but in order to justify the prices they need to clean up a little, sauce bottles on the table were mucky with congealed sauce, table was sticky where food had been rearranged rather than cleaned off, and even the numbered spoon given when ordering was unclean. We were very disappointed with our cafe visit as the cafe was extremely cold and we, and other visitors, sat with coats on throughout our coffee. We visited with a baby and I found a highchair but the safety strap was broken. I told staff and asked for another highchair but was told they only had one! After about 30 minutes the baby slipped down in the chair, banging her chin on the hard wooden table and burst into tears so we left. I've since seen the reviews on Facebook concerning a feeling that parents with small children are not made to feel welcome so we won't be visiting again.

I had a similar experience today as a reviewer in October when I asked what gluten free cake options I had looking at a wide selection of cakes displayed on the counter. With a sweeping hand I was told that nothing there was suitable but I could buy a gluten free cake in the shop. I then had to find something suitable in the shop, take it back to the counter to order coffee. When the coffee was brought I pointed out to the waitress how offended I was as a coeliac that I had to trail round the shop to find something suitable and that it felt like a second class service. This is a great farm shop and cafe but I hope they will consider their gluten free customers with greater respect in future.

This was our first time to the White House Farm Cafe, they were very busy got the last table for 2, we decided to have a cappuccino and scone, we thought for the size of the cup and scone was expensive at £9-50 for 2 people, the downside for me was, there were no prices showing for the scones and other cakes which is a bit naughty, plus I noticed some of the staff when serving the meals or hot drinks didn't seem to know where they were going, after all it's only a small cafe.

Visited today with my husband for a cup of tea and a cake. It was extremely busy and so I joined the queue to order. The queue also included people who were paying for goods they had bought in the shop - including many people who were also buying pumpkins. When I reached the front of the queue I asked about gluten free cakes but was told there were none but that sometimes they had gluten free cakes. I was then told that there were some gluten free cakes around the corner in the shop. If I had gone to get the cake, I would either have had to keep a long queue of people waiting or left the queue and then rejoin the end of the by now very long queue. I suggested that they should have some of the gluten free cakes in the cafe area every day. When my tea and my husband’s hot chocolate and cake arrived, I spoke to the waitress who told me that they often had gluten free cakes but had been busy. No-one offered to get any of the cakes for me or apologised that there was nothing for me to eat. I know that staff were busy but I felt that no-one cared and that no-one was bothered. How easy is it to put out some gluten free options each day?

I visited today with my friend. Very busy, never seen such a mess on the floor from earlier diners, I asked twice for it to be cleaned up. Meal was very small to say it cost £6, one of the staff could be seen eating through glass in door, not a problem until she came back into cafe and started serving without having washed her hands, then to our surprise had more to eat, didn't wash her hands again and was still chewing her food while serving customers. Also, I hate it when nothing is priced in a shop, it was too busy to keep asking the price on everything. How on earth do they sell anything??? I won't be returning.

The very first problem is finding this cafe which is in the middle of the new housing estate in Sprowston. Once found, one can have a look round the few retail outlets there and then go for a coffee or what-ever you want to eat or buy. Then comes problem number two. Being near to this new housing estate the coffee shop is generally full of mums with kids. Not too bad except that mums and kids means buggies also and lots of noise. We visited this cafe in the school holidays and left when we couldn't find any seats but today we visited again thinking that the kids would be at school. Wrong! Lots of mums with young toddlers and even more noise. The young staff have lots to learn re. customer relations and are too busy chatting with folks they know to worry about us older customers. The food is ok but the prices are quite high and the coffee needs some attention as it is very weak and watery. Will we return? No, not anytime soon.

No big message to say that on the website.... when you dig deep into the photos you manage to find one of a cake which says 'patiently waiting' so ok... they didn't say strawberries were ready but hardly advertising they were not opening the fields yet. Anyway... thought we would stop for a coffee and cake seeing as we had driven 20 miles to get here... to find they have hardly anything left!! They managed to drag out a bit of rocky road, which I will say was amazing! For a place that had been recommended to us we all ended up leaving pretty disappointed! We visited here at half term with family and enjoyed a range of fresh panini's stuffed with locally sourced meats and other produce for lunch. The kids and adults were all very happy. We were then tempted by the home made cakes....amazing! Lot's of lovely things to browse and buy in the farm shop too, including some great sausages. Well worth the drive down the track from Blue Boar Lane, It's tucked away but so close to Tesco this will now be a regular haunt.

Really surprised the cafe doesn't really cater for young children. I explained I had a toddler and was served a massive white bap filled with grated cheese and was told the only drinks were those in the chiller cabinet. The woman serving couldn't have been less interested. A sarnie/drink/fruit combo isn't out of the ordinary but I felt I was asking for something they just hadn't thought of. Long wait, service without a smile, very uncomfortable seats, very expensive. Didn't want to hang around. Had to laugh at the A-board asking for staff, smiles are a must, apparently. Er, pardon? Tell that to those you already have. Feels like someone is spending too much time writing twee signs for everything in sight, not enough on training and customer experience. Such a shame.

Delightful cafe minutes from Norwich and yet in a beautiful country setting. Great coffee and choice of cakes and simple food - all delicious. Great fresh produce all local and an excellent butcher! And bonus of a farmers market in the square outside once a month. A real gem

My wife and I live just down the road in Catton and are visitors to the farm from time to time. We were delighted to find out that a shop/cafe had opened.

We dropped in on a Sunday for coffee and cake. It states as you drive down Sunday hours 10 - 4.00pm. We walked in just before 3.30pm , had a look around, not really much there for a farm shop, the butcher was clearing away so you couldn't see what he had to offer. So we went to get the coffee, at the counter i was told they were shut, i asked why when it say 10 - 4.00pm. We shut at 3.30pm i was told. What a let down this place is. I do hope when all the units are rented out it is better than it is now

After visiting today other than the butchery which is excellent where we purchased quite a few items I wouldn't bother with the rest which is expensive. How thay can call themselves a farm shop I don't know, they don't have hardly any fresh vegetables for sale like they used to,they seem to have gone down more for the pick your own route which is okay but there should be more available fruit and vegetable wise, potatoes etc. Also it seems as if they are more interested for the future in going down the Jimmys Farm Route with more commercial enterprises at the expense of being a farm shop.

Visited after a brief call at Wyvale garden centre opposite. Wish we hadn't bothered as found White House Farm cafe very expensive and rather disorganised. Who wants to order tea and then go and sit with a numbered spoon to wait for the tea to arrive. How long does it take to fill a pot of tea, why the wait.

Visited the 'cafe' many years ago - was just a shed in the middle of a field, now what a transformation! Loved the signs leading to the cafe, made us laugh! A good varied menu even my favourite breakfast food -served at lunchtime, a fried egg bun, 2 eggs!

Went with my youngest child who was bored at home. Having been before, I was surprised that houses are being built along the driveway into the farm. Another change for this year is the deposit you have to pay, the signage said that walking and over had to pay the deposit. On the day I visited it was £2 per person so I paid £4 for my 4 year old and myself.

Cafe doors all closed so was very hot inside. Would have liked to sat outside in the courtyard but poor quality uncomfortable garden furniture only, could be really nice. Tables all sticky/covered in crumbs, staff miserable, tea in a cup with a tea bag on side (no teapots ?) and cake was dry. All very amateur and could do with listening/reading reviews.

Went for a very pleasant coffee and cake while the grandchildren were on the farm with their dad. It was reasonable but as others have commented not the greatest value. Later in the day we all returned and the service was slow despite the order being for a coffee and brownie only. The presence of flies on tables not properly wiped down with residual crumbs is really not the greatest testimonial to the place. Also if there is a toilet which there is why not put a sign up on the door?

Not the best outlet in Chelmsford the best one is westway. Maldon high street is also very good but very disappointed Costas don’t offer any gluten free products as my wife can’t eat and as to watch me eating

There is plenty of competition in Aylsham for good bread, rolls and cakes but this is still our go to bakers. The quality and value is excellent and the staff are always very helpful ( happy to put rolls aside for me to collect later). I would recommend the cheese straws and rolls but the cakes are delicious too.

So, me and my good lady went here for breakfast this morning, 22/09/24. She asked for eggs benedict and I asked for the full English. My drink was coke and I asked for no ice, of course it came WITH ice but no big deal, I let that go. The meals arrived and my partners was Eggs Royale NOT eggs benedict that she had asked for. I pointed this out to the server and she whisked it away and apologised. My Full English only had one sausage, the menu states sausages, sausage with an S on the end implies more than one and I said so. Also a flat mushroom, as on the menu is not HALF a mushroom, again I pointed this out to the server, along with the fact that my toast had no butter on it and none was provided or offered. The half tomato, again tomato on the menu is NOT HALF of a tomato, looked like it had been cooked before and kicked around the kitchen a few times but I let THAT go too. The poor girl was very apologetic and went off to get my butter, sausage and the other half of my mushroom, along with my partners' eggs benedict, which came back suspiciously quickly considering we had waited for half an hour for our meals previously, and sure enough, she could taste the salmon in it when she started eating. The "chef" had obviously swapped the salmon for ham and sent it back out, luckily my partner is not allergic to salmon.. We ate it and I paid as we were both so hungry that neither of us wanted to try to find somewhere else to get breakfast before the cut off time but we were both VERY disappointed by the whole thing as we expect better from any restaurant but especially one that I THOUGHT was a quality establishment, I was obviously very wrong about that based on this experience, shocked really isn't a strong enough word..

Went this afternoon. They messed up our food order even though it wasn't busy. I collected my coffee, sat down and started drinking it and then they came over and took it away. They said they had accidentally given me my drink in another customers reusable cup. They then bought me a replacement drink a few minutes later which was not what I had ordered.
