Costa in Broadland

Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. Disappointed in my coffee though as I ordered an iced caramel latte, hoping it would be as good or better than the chilled ones from supermarkets. I'm sure it would be to some peoples' tastes but I felt it lacked flavour and body. I'll definitely go back to Costa but will get something else next time

Rating purely for the staff! Anya is so bubbly and lovely when serving, despite normally a line of people waiting she never seems stressed. There’s also a blonde lady, perhaps in her 30s, who is often there lunch times on weekdays serving. She is always so polite, happy and patient with the staff in training too. Thank you, your customers really appreciate it!

Really friendly staff, only just started working in the barbershop in store. Always have a smile on there face!

Not the most glamorous location but the staff and always friendly and nice to chat to. It is as good as having a local coffee shop as you can get.

the chairs need to be anti scrape, hard to relax when you are drinking coffee and the staff are scraping the chairs

Great coffee but could have been served much quicker if Lorna could have torn herself away from talking to her boyfriend, leaving her colleague to sweep, clean, serve and make the coffee.

This used to be very well run. Before Covid. However since reopening not so much. There have been times when our drinks were prepared and left on the tray out of reach without even being told they were ready. I have now witnessed this a few times. Yesterday our caramel latte were made with the barrister trying to add the caramel once the cups were full. So they had to go back. In summary, Generally ok but could do a lot better. Bring back the pre-covid staff. They were both brilliant and friendly.

Lovely place, fantastic bacon rolls and fabulous cappuccino. Lots of areas to sit with nice comfortable chairs.

Very pleasant staff. Clean and well laid out tables for social distancing. During the lockdown last year it had a refit and it looks so much smarter now and less dated.

Lovely staff, they are so attentive with their repeat customers, they always remember my drink and one girl even saved me a secret stash of the Irish Velvet when it had already run out, because that was my favourite, that was so lovely, I felt really valued!

Just refurbishedCosta Tesco Blue Boar) 15 minutes + queues to get served before, still 15 minutes + queue. WHY WASN'T A 2nd coffee machine installed?? STAFF EXCELLENT, deserve better.

Updated 22nd February 2020 Site refreshed and new furniture installed ( please see pictures below with feedback) In a need to make more profits (we assume) this Costa has attempted a complete refurb however in their attempt to look chic and take the store to a new level the store has forgot about the customer needs requirements and its Location. This outlet is located in a very busy Tesco so has a very busy footfall, however in there attempt to appear chic and up to date they have taken tables and chairs away from this busy outlet meaning customers are fighting over seating in what is meant to be a relaxed atmosphere. Whilst I sat there I saw two OAPS push past a family of 4 (two children) to get the last seats. I finished my coffee and offered them my table as the little ones looked tired and I felt sorry for them, however forward planning is where Costa could have foreseen customer needs and requirements from the last seating plan and instead of cutting back on seating and putting in IKEA type seats just to increase profits. Unfortunately as you can see from the pictures the que at the purchasing counter remains the same which is frustrating to customers that are on limited breaks within the store or have parked in the car park outside and only have 3hrs parking including shopping. The coffee is still the same full to the top of the cup so when you carry it it spills in the saucer but the most annoying thing of all now they keep you at the counter until your hot food is cooked which means by the time you get your table your coffee from Costa coffee shop is luke warm and doesn’t live up to its reputation of being one of the best in the market all because serving practices are falling down again at this location. I have moved the star rating from 5 to 3 because of the above reason and personally will not be going back with others of the local Costa group until these issues are either looked into fixed or amended to make a pleasant environment for a coffee. Review Jan 18 You still have the que’s in peak periods but at all other times there seems a concerted effort to beat the ques . Tables clearance is fantastic and is finally happening whilst the customer is sitting at the table meaning the customer is not sitting at a table full of dirty cutlery.

Newly refurbished within Tesco Extra. Great service, roomy, good selection, WiFi, power and plenty of seats. Staff were fantastic and great service. Loss of 1 star due to card machine not working (again) and not being able to scan for my Costa points. Maybe as part of the refurbishment could have got the IT working? Apart from that well worth a visit

Esta noche, mi padre y yo asistimos a la cafetería Blue Boar Costa, donde nos sirvió una joven muy educada llamada Megan. Ella siempre nos hace sentir bienvenidos y nos atienden con una sonrisa amistosa y una actitud agradable.

solo comí un chocolate caliente y un flapjack después de comprar una golosina y fue agradable, un poco de cola, pero eso no se puede evitar, así que la elección es positiva.

All the crockery is stained. Apparently the dishwasher is not working properly. Not very nice with everything looking dirty.

Comí un rollo de tocino para el desayuno y las piezas de tocino eran muy pequeñas. Pero el café con leche era excelente.

Our main aim was to have a quick coffee after shopping then go home and unpack but it never worked out like that. The que when we joined was moderate but before we had got served was out in the store blocking the route to Tesco toilets. Eventually we got out drinks and the last to find seats with our coffees Warm not hot. I would have been happy to throw them down our neck and go giving how much time we had already spent waiting. Unfortunately the other half had different ideas and she went marching up asking to speak to the manager. After 10 minutes of waiting a manageress came over to our table and said she understood our drinks where cold ( not what we had said at all ) but Lucy continued to speak for the both of us. She said our drinks where only warm after having to cue for over 45 minutes. The manager not smiling turned around and said “all we can do is offer you a new drink” ideally we would have like them hot in the first place but due to the long cue lack of staff and clean tables to sit at that wasn’t possible Lucy responded. The managers at this point just said if you want the drinks please rejoin the cue !!! So after waiting 45 minutes in total to get warm drinks the miserable mangeress with no people skills wanted us to again join the cue for cold drinks. This wasn’t going to happen. This will be the last time we go to this over priced knapkin pinchin cafe. I wouldn’t go as far to calling it a real Costa as real Costa’s staff are happy to serve you and are polite.

We visit this costa pretty regularly and it’s almost always got a queue for people ordering takeaway drinks post-shop. You always get served pretty promptly despite the above. Staff are also very friendly.

Been here a few times after shopping with my daughter. Long weight to get served with only one person doing the till and one person doing the drinks. Not good when there so busy. Manager brought us our food threw it on table you could tell she was t bothered, filthy tables nothing to wipe with and no one available to clean them.

Even in heavy snowy conditions, Costa staff deliver the goods. Others could learn a lot because the Costa model obviously works every time. My only complaint is the occasional queue to endure, but it’s always worth the wait!

Called in on Sunday morning, as usual a long queue ordered some coffee, orange juice, porridge and toast. the food was ready before the coffee so was naturally cold and had to send it back. they do really need to sort the coffee thing out. Whilst we are used to high prices at Costa I think £1.75 for a small orange juice is crazy you can get 1 1/2 litres for that in the adjoining Tesco. The tables always wobble so a little coffee was spilled went to get napkin and was told that napkins are no longer supplied in the public areas and the staff have been told not to put them out, so please bring your own. It was a cold day outside so the air con. had been set to Arctic blast. All in all not a good experience and will probably avoid in the future but if you decide otherwise don't forget your napkin.

These places are ok-ish but I really do begrudge the price of the drinks - it puts me off even coming in early on a Sunday and having breakfast. Staff are friendly enough - only came as had afternoon off and was catching up with a friend before going shopping.

Always great service, good coffee, very friendly atmosphere. Perhaps more veggie choices would be great but that's evidently a Costa thing and not this outlet. Can get very busy but staff unflappable and efficient. Nice to use before or after shopping.

Just stopped off for a coffee after finishing our shopping. I must say the coffee and cake were great and the two girls working are lovely. The manager on the other hand had no people skills. Obviously did not have please or thank you in her vocabulary and looked like she really didn't want to be there. Not a great example for her staff!!

I usually stop here for a takeaway coffee as find it too busy to sit and relax. The drinks are usually very good, staff are hit and miss. Can be a bit grumpy during busy periods ( not customers fault) food, especially if you wanted to eat in is very expensive, same as all other costa stores.

I love getting coffee from here. The Paradise Blend is worth getting, and my drinks have always been made to my liking. The staff there are friendly, particularly Joe. A good hustling cafe to have a coffee in.

Fantastic food, fantastic coffee but there is ALWAYS a que 10:30am / 12:30hrs 15:30hrs and when it takes 35 mins to get served and you only have an hour for your lunch break is it worth visiting and waisting 35 minutes be queing just for 25 mins break !!!

I cannot have a bad word said against my second home! I love it! Coffee always top notch. Service always first class! Ever thought of a clearing station for clients to clear their own tray away? It would save the already incredibly hardworking staff some precious minutes of time. Keep up the great work!

I had 45 mins to meet up with a friend that was on her lunch break and have a coffee and something to eat on the 8th Oct. My friend took her seat whilst I went to que there was 6 people in front of me and the time was 11:30hrs. Unfortunately the lad on the till seemed to be getting stressed/confused over a change issue which seemed to carry on for 3 customers. This delayed the serving time of beverages as the staff serving the beverages where besides the cash register. I eventually got served 38 minutes later which was to late for my friend which meant she had to go back to work without any lunch or drink and I sat there on my own. I watched the lunch time rush come through and the average waiting time is 25 minutes providing there are no issues at the cash register. The person serving the drinks in the shop at the time seems to take on the roll of shop manager as he watches everything and listens in to everything going on at the till ( gentleman with the beard, pleasant chap). It's just a shame he couldn't have hurried the que up that day for my friend and I. This review won't affect my opinion of Costa and I will still continue to visit Costa in the future.

We just love it here! After the grind of shopping, or a destination when riding our bikes, my hubby and I visit regularly! Costa never lets us down. Always great service from a solid team of staff members. Comfy chairs, relaxed atmosphere! Don't change anything!

The place is clean and smells nice, like clean tables. It looks good with comfortable seats. The staff were nice and helpful. Plenty of space to sit with good choice of drinks. The coffee was alright with lovely beans.

We love all costa coffee shops because the quality is always very good, and this one is no exception. Plenty of room, good service and super coffee. Good place to relax.

Normally call in for a crafty coffee after doing my shopping.It's a nice sized cafe and the server's are alway's friendly.Typical Costa selection of cakes, toasties etc

The staff are brilliant here, and know their trade! Always extremely smiley, efficient and go that extra step to make each visit special. Superb coffee, too!

A great little Costa to go to after a hectic shopping spree. It has a open plan and has trolley storage area. It can get quite busy and isn't the quiet working space some coffee shops are.

We had a mid morning break here. Service was good, food and drink were up to the usual standard for a Costa

It's Costa, it's the same products but this Costa can be so in different. You might be served quick it might take you a good twenty mins. It might be hot, it might be cold. You might find a clean table but that's highly unlikely. There are two really nice blows there, one black hair and one Chinese looking as glasses. Other than that I'd go else where

We love Costa! This franchise is like home from home; great coffe, great food, great service. It's a shame that just about every table is wobbly. The last thing you want is a dicky table when you have a tray full of delicious cups of coffee! Costa.....get your tables sorted!
