Great place busy very polite staff

As always the service at Harleys is fast friendly and very efficient. Looking forward to the revamp and going back to try the new surroundings.

Horrible costumer service the worst ive ever had Atmosphere horrible too, dirty tables, not a calm quiet cafe as i was expecting to have a chat Food was eatable but mrs said she would do better at home…such a disappointment and everyday i passed by the window saw how it looked nice and always with people inside now i dont understand how so many people go in I wont come back…5 minutes up the road a lot better places for breakfast and lunch

As good as I remembered. There's nothing quite like a Harley's coronation chicken baguette. So fresh, tasty and crunchy. Plus under £4. After a more than 10 year gap, I'd still recommend this spot. Perfect for post dogwalk along the river or Cary's meadow

Unfortunately went in and requested a bacon Harley the "freshly cooked" bacon was microwaved and staff I assume owner was rude and grumpy. Won't be going again.

Lovely setting ,,but very limited vegan vegetarian option and the water needs a better filter system. Staff friendly.

Fast service but very bland .no salad herbs or seasoning on paninis. Only one vegan food. No wheatfree gluten free options. The water is rough nit even filtered and its obvious.it really doesn't take much to make a bit of effort on presentation or customers dietary needs but none made here. £6 for a smallish baked potato and just very obviously cheapest beans .

I recently came here with my friends to sit by the river and have some food, which I really enjoyed. The food menu was great, I had a nice prawn baguette, along with an ice cream and iced mocha. I’m new to the area so wasn’t too sure on what to have at first, the staff were really helpful and the service was great. I especially enjoyed my iced mocha, and will definitely be returning again! If you are looking for a nice place to sit for some nice lunch and a sociable chat, Harleys is the place!

Can't complain about the iced frappe it was really nice but stated Regular and Large so ordered Large but they only do 1 size apparently.. hence not a large... change the board ladies.. sisters raspberry ripple milkshake was so runny (apparently made from their ice cream on display) so she was expecting a thick shake but no and £2.95.. both drinks served in plastic cups which I did not like.. I felt like a child.. tea for 1 was definitely a tea for 1 and I wouldn't dare ask for a top up of water as to how unfriendly and rude the 2 girls are there.. Well 1 girl, young girl very quiet and no rapport about her at all... learn to smile and be pleasant we are paying customers.. the older girl was rude to 2 people that I heard of as I was sitting there.. 1 asked if they did takeaway.. Reply was "yeah what do you want" I was gobsmacked.. a girl ordered an ice cream then asked if she could have a napkin.. to which the older girl hit her hand on the napkins and said "they are here" .. yet again gobsmacked.. no smiles, no pleasantness, no eye contact, no chit chat with anyone.. I work in a coffee shop and I would be asked to leave by my boss if I treated our customers like that.. hence to say we will not be returning..

good location, parking not always easy but we did park. The service was good as usual, the snack and coffee good.

Polite staff, coffee ok, perhaps a little expensive but nice view of the boats on the river, cafe could do with a repaint but has a worn character and charm that I quite liked.

Staff were welcoming, food was ok but got 2 sugers and in-between them was chewed up chewing gum stuck on sugers then to top that a drink was accidentally spilt and was not immediately cleaned up and no yellow sign put up straight away. First and last time I'll be going there.

Good staff, reasonable price and good coffee. Just a bit disappointed they’re not trying to do more to avoid plastic use.

Slightly surprised by the glowing reviews. Staff were nice enough, location lovely. Food wasnt great. Cheap ingredients. I imagine a coffee and a tea cake would be nice enough but the cheap sausages, bacon and bread put me off. Edible but thats it.

This is a fantastic little coffee shop and in a lovely spot by the river. I found the customer service to be a bit lacking. Little welcome from the staff and smiles. Furthermore no mask wearing or hand sanitiser when handling food which was disconcerting.

Fab place. Great to pop in for a fresh sandwich, or if you're not in a hurry sit and enjoy the green. Popular place to sit and chill.

Sadly not the nicest coffee, tasted like it had been topped up with hot water. Service a bit haphazard. I got my drink after the two people in the queue behind me. Sorry not impressed. 😞

Always enjoy an ice-cream from Harley's, and the paninis have always been great especially.

Milkshake was nice but overpriced, but the cheese and ham toastie we ordered could barely be considered as a toastie. It was more like a squashed ham sandwich with melted cheese in it.

I always enjoy my trips to Steve's. We solve the world's problems, and I get an excellent haircut.

Nothing bad, nothing good. Covid service system wouldn't be great for busy periods, then again, perhaps that's not relevant during covid. Could do with an interior update, and maybe seek a splinter outlet across the road so you could eat/drink by the river.

First off, you are expected to know that they only allow 1 customer in the shop at a time (there is no sign). My crystal ball was on the blink that day and so I walked into the medium sized shop with 1 other customer in it, only to be barked at "ONLY 1 CUSTOMER IN THE SHOP!". There was no please or thank you in that sentence. I was then told "YOU CAN COME IN NOW". No thank you. I will bark my order from the door thank you. Only this didn't work because the two staff did that thing where they only remember the first of a three drink order. This kind of thing is unforgivable. You are working in hospitality/ retail and the one thing you have to do when interacting with customers is listen to the order. So I repeated the order - "1 white tea 2 sugars, and 2 black americanos with one sugar each". I was then asked "do you want milk in the americanos?" What, in the BLACK americanos????? Then I was asked "do you want sugars in any of the drinks?" When my eyes had finished rolling completely round in my head, I repeated the sugar part of the order. The drinks came promptly, were hot and pretty good to be fair. But the painful ordering process meant they will never my money again. YOU WORK IN HOSPITALITY GUYS.

just got a take out coffee from Starbucks an Sat by river an drank it, can't do anything else in this pandemic atm 😐

Rather disappointing. Indifferent staff, not welcoming or friendly. Younger staff member wearing her face mask correctly but other one (the manager?) wearing hers beneath her nose and just covering her mouth throughout the visit. But for this we may have tried the food but decided against it. No atmosphere even though it’s Christmas, not even any background music although the place was nicely decorated. Such a shame the staff couldn’t be more welcoming in these difficult times.

Great service from Harleys today, Baguette with brie & bacon plus the cappuccino were excellent. Would highly recommend.

Amazing location, amazing ice cream, amazing service, but I have no idea how such a lovely cafe can serve such bad coffee. It seems like the owners of this place have never ventured further than the Yare to discover what good coffee is. For a £2.20 cappuccino you would expect something that is drinkable. Advice to management: invest in a coffee machine and head over to Strangers for some advice.

Thank you for re-opening Harley's.... Really missed this café! Coffee was usual excellent standard and the paninis.... You eat one and whilst you're eating it, you start contemplating a second one because the first one is so good!

Closed even though they say open online.

Great local for enjoyable lunch or just a drink. Finished today with a scrumptious toffee ice-cream.

Absolutely disgusting customer service from the manager. Even other staff & customers were appalled by the woman’s behaviour. Food was awful, politely tried to discuss & purchase something else but was talked to with utter disrespect & was extremely upset by the whole experience. Even tried to talk to her again but she wouldn’t be civil.

Went with a friend, cappuccino and latte ordered, not busy but maybe there is only one machine. Latte came first after 10 minutes and then another long wait for cappuccino so we didn't order food. It looked ok though. Not very warm sitting by window. Difficult to park as its opposite the river. Could be so much better.

Coffee and milk were burnt. Rather pricey considering the baristas lack of skill

Good little café opposite the green on the banks of the river Yare. Good range of sandwiches and snacks and free Wi-Fi.

HaD BREAKFAST two days running here and took a packed lunch also. Bagette was really nice and the croissants and coffe were really good and served by nice staff.

Good old fashioned café, top quality coffee, papers to read, fresh baguettes and jacket potatoes etc … delicious shortbread and carrot cake. Lovely location. A favourite of ours.

My partner and I walked here looking forward to a latte 4 June 2019 only to be given a filter very strong coffee instead and we couldnt drink it. boy who brought our drinks said maybe go for 1 shot of coffee next time. Very disappointed as we like this cafe and feed the ducks with our little girl here. :(

We sat in the sunshine on one of their pavement tables eating ice creams. A nice view of the river green but marred by the amount of traffic that comes along the Yarmouth road. Another coffee shop that doesn't do Soya milk.

Lovely little cafe within sight of the river. They do take out as well so you can cross the road and sit by the river.

Lovely little coffee and snack bar serving all kinds of hot and cold baguettes, paninis, toasted sandwiches and much more. A great spot on Thorpes River Green to watch the world go by. Icecream to takeaway too.

Lovely cafe for lunch time treats! The staff are lovely and the food is good. Offerings of sandwiches, panini, jacket potatoes and baguettes are generously filled. The coffee is ok but the milkshakes are better! Made with real ice cream, it gets super loud when they are made but it's absolutely worth it. Cakes are lovely too. Everything is reasonably priced and the atmosphere is relaxed, perfect for a catch up with friends! It can get quite busy and parking is limited so be prepared to find a spot on the side street (but free which is always nice!)

Went here and ordered the strawberry milkshake. Honestly hands down the best milkshake. I would recommend this place to anyone that haven't been yet

Fantastic bacon & egg baguette.

If I could give zero stars I would. Kept us waiting for about half an hour and only then rudely told my son he would not cut his hair and that he should go to a ladies hairdresser because his hair is long.

Gr8 service.. Gr8 tuna onion toasties and coffee.

It is difficult to add to this, headline captures it all. Started with an argument over the cafes insistence on serving bread with everything (which I don’t eat) and finished with unseasoned eggs, bland cheap baked beans, anaemic sausages and microwaved bacon. You shouldn’t expect too much but when a plate of food is popped straight on top of a newspaper you are reading without an excuse me or anything that sums it up. That and a lack of hygiene, won’t be back.

We were staying at Best Western Oaklands and didn’t fancy the usual brekkie, instead we walked down and had a cappuccino and a Bacon Harley and the world was all of a sudden a better place!

Harleys is a really friendly place and they do the best milkshakes ever. Also all food freshly made. A+++

The best barber in Norwich hands down. A wizard with the scissors and thoroughly experienced. Runs circles around many of these newer younger barbers. His styles are always spot on from his own visions of what would suit you best.

Enjoy,relax at Harley’s and watch the world go by the river, which is great on any day.
