Lovely coffee. Tasty sausage rolls and very fresh produce all round.

3rd time visiting here in the last 6 months and each time it has been faultless. Staff are polite, it's clean but most importantly the food is delicious and very quick at coming out. Coffee's are nice and hot too. Definitely recommend 👌

What a wonderful coffee shop, very friendly staff, wonderful clean premises, food was a cooked fresh and homemade, the outside seating has lovely views and walks, there's only one problem I don't live nearer

We only had Teas, when the girl brought them out she picked up mine from the tray by the rim with her fingers! I said don’t do that use the handle. This fell on deaf ears! As an observation on a previous occasion, the tables are slatted and food easily falls through to the supporting slats which are not cleaned and one of the waitresses was wearing nail varnish, hopefully she was not preparing food. Won’t be back, I think some training in every department is required.

Very disappointing. Ordered Paninis and hot drinks. Both plates were chipped badly and the paninis were very dry. Was served by someone in football shorts which seemed odd. Will not return as there are much better cafes out there.

Beautiful setting particularly in Summer. Decorated well. Place was very busy and the staff, in particular the manager was incredibly friendly. Food was delicious especially the sausage roll and huge!! Coffee was good and piping hot. Loved the visit and will definitely be returning. A hidden gem

Came here for coffee off the whim and the coffee was the best I’ve had in Norwich. Nice crockery too! Staff all very friendly and nice vibes from the team. Breakfast was delicious (I didn’t even take a picture because I wanted to dive in). You can tell they all work hard and I have to say I will definitely be back 😊

I am sad to write this review. But I think it will help the manager realise there's an issue. We found the staff to be a little disconnected and not personable. A little shocked the order came to £27!! But had high hopes. The food came quickly and we couldn't help but laugh. The weird combination of nachos and coleslaw was baffling... and my partners soup was stone cold. Someone forgot to turn the soup kettle on? Or microwave?? Anyway. We won't be back unfortunately unless there's a drastic menu redesign. Pond was nice 👌

Been here a couple of times for just a drink and their hot chocolates are always lovely. But came for lunch a couple of weeks back, had the Quiche. It was OK, but nothing to shout home about. I also think it could do with some new potatoes or something on the side rather than just salad.

Absolutely appalling. Had been to this cafe a few times when they first opened and it was lovely food and service. Yesterday we were not served at all ( food literally never arrived)?, there was no explanation or apology after an hour’s wait. Place was filthy, dirty plates piled up, inside the bar area stuff all over the floor. But the ‘tram’ happily laughing together on the kitchen. Definitely won’t last long ….

On Thursday 4th April my daughter took me to Waterside to have breakfast. As she's been many times before and it's usually good. But not today everything came out of the kitchen over cooked.. Bacon so well done it was not able to eat this was the same for the sausage and egg. I could not recommend to my friends certainly not eat breakfast again. Very disappointed.

The food is good quality, but on this occasion was poorly executed as both mine and my companions food was dripping in grease. Nice setting next to the pond, but on closer inspection there was a lot of litter in it, and it could use a bit of a clean up.

Having visited regularly for months we visited today to find they have changed their menu. Suffice to say we walked right back out again. Someone appears to have taken a hatchet to the options, gone are their delicious chilli jacket potatoes, steak pie and chips to be replaced by a series of beige and uninspiring options. We will be lunching elsewhere in future.

Good coffee, helpful staff, stale tea cake! music too loud

I’ve been here several times since reopening. I really like the food and this place is perfect for a lunch, portions are generous, quality of food excellent. The ploughman’s is sublime. The place can get busy during lunchtimes and loud with bustle. The area is surrounded by by nice walks if you are making a trip of the visit. It’s a wonderful little gem of a cafe , great in summer also when you can sit on the terrace.

Nice cafe, lovely staff. Veg soup was very good.

Visit for breakfast this morning whilst waiting for a nearby business Love the views over the small lake Friendly service. Order at counter and delivered to table. Impressive choice of breakfast dishes. The full Norfolk breakfast was filling and tasty 😋 Coffee (cappuccino) good too Great choice. Highly recommended

Norfolk breakfast is tasty, can substitute non meat items for other non meat. Prices are decent.

Super slow service, despite only ordering a bagel and scrambled egg on toast. Scrambled egg was very dry and tasteless, bagel was okay.

30 minute wait for scrambled eggs on toast - Cafe only half full... Great if you have the time to sit and wait... eggs totally dry and inedible, and no butter on the toast - not recommended.

This was our second trip to the Waterside cafe. The first time the coffee machine was out of order. No such problem this time. Lovely coffee and I had a delicious slice of lemon and elderflower cake. My husband had bacon with tomato relishin a cross between a pitta and panini. He loved it! The setting is so lovely and peaceful, it's hard to believe you are minutes from the A47. Lovely friendly staff, especially as the young lady remembered us from before. Highly recommended.

Hired the private room for a social function. Staff were great, we had a buffet that catered to various and picky allergies no problem, and the buffet was very enjoyable. The function room is nicely decorated and there’s enough parking in the overflow to manage a large group. Really enjoyable, thank you Waterside Cafe.

They have just put a winter menu on from this week and we were not disappointed 😃 the steak & onion pie was delicious & definitely homemade & the ham, egg & chips didn’t disappoint either 😋 a good plateful, piping hot & made to order, we have been here loads of times for coffee when out walking, but we will be back for more of the amazing food, well done Waterside 👏👊

Went for breakfast today and the food was delicious however it was absolutely freezing cold!!! And that was extremely disappointing.

Been in here a couple of times before had nice food disappointed with our visit today went at 2.30 went to order hot food and was told can’t have any as they shut at 3 pm it doesn’t state anywhere they shut the kitchen earlier

Just popped in for a drink near to closing time so wouldn't be fair to comment on food etc. Seemed popular though and there is additional parking across the road.

Lovely food, scones and sausage rolls are massive. Full English was good the let down was, it was very cold in the cafe. Need more heating !

Visited 11:15 on a Saturday morning. High expectations because of the connection with the always wonderful Blofield Farm Shop. Unfortunately, expectations were not fulfilled. The service was very friendly enough but the display of food very disappointing. We only wanted a coffee and a slice of cake. Not a huge choice but settled on a slice of coffee and walnut cake and a Bakewell slice. Both tasted more commercially produced rather than homemade and the coffee sponge very dry. At nearly £15 the quality meant it’s not particularly good value for money. With Costa across the road, I’m not sure the setting by the pond is enough of a differential to make this worthwhile.

Nice little cafe, Friendly staff, nice food. I don't normally complain but we weren't offered a choice of toast, brown or white. We neither like mushroom's but no substitute was offered, however the "black pudding dumpling" was to die for . Don't take my word for it give it a try but be warned the car park isn't very big. 🤓

Nice little café at Waterside. Lovely seating area outside. Avocado bagel & coffee were tasty. Defo a good place for lunch & coffee. Only minus is that the display refrigerator is quite loud. I’m quite noise sensitive but just chose to sit outside & the problem was solved. Recommended a visit! :)

Another new place we found for lunch.Myself daughter and grandchildren. I had coffee and sausage roll. Delicious sausage roll lots of meat and very large. Breakfast served all day which is always a bonus. Two milk shakes for the children were not quite as nice as other places comments were very runny and left by the children although presentation was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Bonus is being able to sit outside in the warmer weather although we sat indoors. Will definitely return.

Walked to this cafe from Norwich railway station as had seen it advertised and thought I would stretch my legs. On entering it appears to be very modern clean and bright. The choice is not huge but enough to keep you coming back for more. My partner and myself both had the Ploughmans which when it arrived looked spectacular. Two types of cheese cheddar and a blue, two sausage rolls, ham, pickled onions & gherkins, a bread roll, and apple slices. It was delicious and the sausage rolls incredible. The service was very good and very friendly. Would I return oh yes as its so good and reasonable prices for quality food.

I used to go here a lot before the new owners took over. The coffee was hot and wet, but that was about it. Would be fine if you like your coffee very weak, which I do not. The cafe was so loud that I had to keep repeating my order. I couldn't stay in to eat/drink. The staff were not welcoming, which may be because of the noise/general work conditions. I won't be returning.

Called for the full English breakfast 15/08/23. It was magnificent. Very pleased indeed. The service was swift and the food both delicious and good value.

We arrived at 1 pm, and there was only one sandwich and two baguettes on display. We ordered fruit scones and were expecting clotted cream but were given butter. This is the 2nd time this has happened. The coffee was nice. ☺️ The noise inside makes it difficult to hear others. Sorry, but one more thing...please power wash the outside decking. It would make it much more pleasant.

We went for a family gathering with our 2 dogs. After about 10 minutes we were asked to leave as one of our dogs was slightly barking. Didnt even give us a chance to calm him down. You call yourself a dog friendly place. Disgusting. Food was poor at best

Went for lunch with family, we all had panini’s which were huge and came with tortilla chips and coleslaw, latte was lovely, good quality coffee. Wonderful staff, very polite and friendly, lovely atmosphere.

Went here for brunch, the food was ok, bit small portion for my liking for a full English, but tasty. The thing I was keen on here was that it felt like a converted conference room so the atmosphere was a bit odd, and the music a little too loud. It's ok and would go again.

Been 3 times in 3 weeks . Service , food all excellent . Place spotlessly clean . When weather gets warmer will definitely sit outside . Can recommend the cheese and bacon flaps , chicken and sweetcorn baguette and the red velvet cake . Lush .

Lovely experience here. I had an oat milk latte and a full English breakfast which was lovely quality. Staff are friendly and polite. The location is nice facing the water with plenty of seating, and we didn't need to book.

Found it to be very noisy inside but outside on the decking very nice coffee OK scone was good

The coffee wasn't anything special, the vegan sausage rolls were not pleasant. They had a strange taste to them and left you with an unpleasant after taste. There is seating outside where you can look out on to the lake which is nice, also there is an overflow car park, so plenty of parking available. Dogs are welcome on the outside decking area of the waterside cafe.

Had a breakfast pretty decent and price about average the bacon was very salty though. The down side, music was very loud so couldn’t have a conversation.

So this is a review after my second time eating here. The first I was sort of happy with the food although i find it quite pricey but someone in my group was left waiting for an hour for a heated sausage roll and once reminded they brought it cold with no apology or sort of compensation like a free drink. 👎 Second time here…always for lunch. Both my husband and I asked for a bagel with salmon and cream cheese. Last time I got the same thing and it came with salad and tortilla chips, this time none. So I pointed that out when they brought it over and they said that we ordered from the breakfast section. I double checked the menu, they got one with and other without sides for same price. Why wasn’t this brought to my attention when ordering??? Also worst of all, they heated the bagel with the salmon so it was cooked and it was dry with hardly any cream cheese! I left it… it was gross especially for 6.95£! Such a pity but won’t be back. Attaching picture.

Classy new establishment, light and airy but not very welcoming. Almost like a conveyor belt,quite robotic.

Decent cafe, reasonably pricey, had the breakfast and it was good bacon egg, black pudding superb, beans tomato and sausages all awesome..dissapointed to get sliced supermarket bread and coffee was just freshpac which with such an awesome coffee scene in Norwich is dissapointing. However for the area a big improvement.

It is worth mentioning that Waterside Cafe has not been open very long and it was clear that the operation is still bedding in, The location is great, by the lake and close to work so ideal for a business lunch or, as with us, a leaving lunch. I had the Quiche of the day (which was a mystery as nobody told me what it was and there were no signs or evidence to give you a clue) with salad, the quiche was unusual in that it was puff pastry, which is fab for me! Unfortunately the quiche was overdone and not creamy and smooth, the salad was basic shredded lettuce with a couple of slices of cucumber and a couple of cherry tomatoes with a splodge of dressing on top, not a sophisticated offering. The all day breakfast looked amazing and the baguettes were enormous! Prices were fair, service was confused but the staff were great. I like where the Waterside is going but it has a way to go. I will return to see how its getting on.

Gorgeous pancakes , so thick and fluffy. Beautiful setting right next to the water yet easy to get to. Glad this place has opened up once again. The management seem really nice and friendly too, going around talking to people and making them feel welcome 😊

Seen this place by the pond looking attractive in the summer but never been in before. It's actually very nice inside, spacious with a variety of seating. There's a large selection of sandwiches, baguettes, cakes and some hot food. Obviously very much for workers on the business park so the food is mostly pre-prepared and quick to serve. Decent coffees and a range of soft drinks, we've already been back for another drink.

Nice setting by the lake, but expensive. Range of baguettes, potatoes, salads for lunch and cakes. Usually a gluten free choice of cake although do watch how it's served re cross contamination. Comfy seating or choice of more formal. Very busy at lunch times due to businesses nearby and closed early at around 3.30 pm

Visited for a late lunch. Lovely calm water setting. As cool we sat on comfy chairs inside looking out on to water. Busy with business staff but a few tables free. Polite quick service. Brilliant chocolate melt drinks. Coffee hot and tasty too. Sausage panini came 5 mins after we ordered. Great and lots of meat. Muffins pre sealed are good. Great relaxing atmosphere. Well done

I went in to the waterside cafe today about 230. I had a lovely hot lattee Coffee and a nice fresh fruit scone with butter. Good service and nice clean clear tables well done.

First visit very nice cafe great food.
