We love coming to the Cock. You’re always a really friendly bunch of staff, the food is always top notch and good value for money - you always know what you’re gonna get. We come frequently for dinner catch ups as friends and it’s always top of our list! Thanks for offering the greatest menu, smiles all round and a comfortable safe place to be.

Amazing food, amazing service, happy daughter who was playing outside and colouring at the table. I do wish I got a roast after I saw my partners. However my burger was 10/10. Deffo coming back.

Food was excellent, the restaurant was clean and tidy, the service was a bit slow but this was probably down to how busy it was, but overall we had a lovely family meal and a very nice time.

Brilliant helpful staff always keeping us aware of food wait times. The food is hot and as we ordered special off the menu meals never any trouble, and when we book on line we ask for a specific table which is generally the one we get GREAT SERVICE

A really fabulous pub with some great food, especially the Salt & Chilli Chicken Kebab with Hot Maple flavour sauce and fries, and really lovely staff. It made my long-awaited return visit to Norwich really enjoyable and memorable.

We enjoyed a lovely meal on Friday. My daughter suffers with a severe peanut and nut allergy and eating out is a stressful time for us. However the online allergy menu made the choices easier for us to navigate. Her food was brought out separately and it was evident the chefs had taken great care to ensure she could enjoy a safe meal. It makes all the difference to us and we all enjoyed a really tasty meal . It was really busy but we were pre warned about the slight delay and it didn’t matter as the food was worth waiting for. Would recommend. And especially recommend to all those who have to navigate a food allergy.

A busy night as it was quiz night but we were warned about any wait times for food. The food came out more quickly than expected and was really delicious. Nice wine, good beer, bustling atmosphere and excellent value for money. Thanks!

Went for lunch with family there was 8 of us hadn't booked a table as didn't expect it to be busy on a Tuesday lunchtime it was very busy but wasn't a problem food is lovely and reasonably priced I work in a pub and know how hard work it can be especially when it's busy but the staff were friendly even though you could see how busy they were definitely will be returning and 100 % recommend

Lovely friendly staff helped me place my order with my voucher and service was very quick, food arrived hot and amendments to order were fulfilled regarding gluten intolerance. Nice atmosphere, music not too loud and lots of options for seating. Great experience definitely go again, lovely staff and tasty food.

Great place to eat or drink with your dogs. Separate dog section with tv's. There some high tables and chairs in there which aren't suitable for dog owners. Pub style food but very nice.

I have been here many times. On this occasion, I had the Wednesday evening special. I had a chicken tikka masala and a rocky road sundae, and a Pepsi Max.

Came again tonight for my wife's birthday great food and service and took advantage of the 20% savings again we'll be back thanks team 👍 Really nice experience tonight we had cowboy burger and BBQ Chicken burger and Surf n Turf all very tasty a nice young waitress obviously a trainee but she ws polite and did her job well so hats off to management training, Pub atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the drinks went down well we'll be back again

The team were very helpful. They had advised us the meal may take a while to come out, but was quicker than they said. My dad has just recovered from throat cancer so we needed extra water and gravy on the table and the team were so helpful. It was a lovely evening, I didn’t get the names but one of the waiters a tall slim guy was super helpful and the guy who served us on the bar too. Thanks

Cock Inn is located at 1 Drayton High Rd, Drayton, Norwich NR8 6AE. The food quality is below standard, particularly the "Flat white" which is the worst that I ever have in the past 10 years time. It is too milky no taste of coffee, have reflected it but the re-do one is still very poor. However, the customer service is very good. Don't expect too much for food and drink here. Have several parking bays. Nice location. Sorry to write this here but just want to say the truth.

Bar service was super quick. A long wait for food, 35 minutes and they weren't at full capacity. Food is basic but tasty.

Everything was ‘spot on’ from beginning to end. Everything hot and tasty. Fair prices too. Staff all excellent.

Fabulous service, lovely meals, fantastic portion sizes and great value for money, nice clean restaurant, with friendly helpful staff. One of our party found something untoward in her battered fish, after mentioning to staff it was swiftly dealt with and compensated for. Couldn't fault anything, a lovely time was had by all 6 of us. Hopefully will return again

Just had a lovely meal here this evening 6 of us and every main meal and dessert looked and tasted absolutely delicious, served piping hot ,(just how I like it )and very good servings .and service was good and friendly staff .often come here and never had a bad meal 😋

I came over from Wolverhampton to Drayton to visit my mum I reviewed the pub on trip advisor before arriving and saw good reviews. I must say that they were right and we had a lovely meal It was really busy when we arrived but we were found a table and served quickly and efficiently. Gammon I chose was lovely and my mum enjoyed her tuna mayo potato. On paying I was served by Chloe and I explained that I wanted to use my meerkat app discount but found that as I had already opened the qr code twice it wouldn’t allow me to do it again.i did prove that I had valid membership and I was really grateful that she allowed me discount My mum will be recommending that her friends visit and I certainly will again on my next trip from the midlands

We came here for lunch with some friends we'd never been before. We ordered fish and chips. It was freshly cooked and delicious. We'll come again

We live locally and haven’t visited for several years after a disastrous Fathers Day meal. However we were invited to meet friends there and thought we’d give it a go. Really glad we did as we had a marvellous meal with no complaints whatsoever. Great value for money too. Staff were all lovely and smiley and professional. Feeling very lucky to have you nearby. We had steak - medium rare - perhaps very slightly underdone but no problem. Both steaks were tasty and almost melt in the mouth. The service was friendly and the wait for our meal good as we understood it was being cooked from fresh. The only downside was we were sat next to the toilet door. This would not have been a problem if it did not close with a very loud bang every time it was used! Slight niggles which reduced the rating by one star. Last time we visited, several years ago, we complained about the dust and dirt this time it was spotlessly clean.

We booked online a few hours before arrival, and once we got there we were pointed to our table fairly quickly. It's a pub where you have a table number and then order at a bar, which to be fair with the kids works fairly well. With food ordered it didn't take overly long to come out - we were all fairly hungry and it was demolished quickly...! The food was hood and reasonably priced - the atmosphere was good and ideal for kids. We would not hesitate using this pub again!

Went to the Cock in this weekend with family. The welcome was friendly from a young man on arrival and took us to our table. The food came out and everything was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. Everyone was very happy and we had a lovely evening out as always.

Came in during the week was served by a young man called Sean and he was spot on with everything drinks food allergies etc. Food was good they brought the kids food first which makes a difference well recommended will definitely be going back again

I came in for a meal yesterday the staff are apsulutely amazing very friendly don't think there was one member of staff without a smile on their faces, Food was fantastic big shout out to the chef brilliant atmosphere very clean and tidy would definitely recommend and definitely come back at some point well done guys.

Well it was awful! We queued at the bar for a rather long time as only 1 staff serving at bar while others stood around. Once we got our drinks we went outside then sorted what food we wanted. Couldn’t do it on the app so we went inside to order to then be told they can only do chips unless we booked a table previously?!? If this was the case they should have said this before we even ordered our 1st drinks! So we said that’s fine we’ll just order other food. Ordered a pizza from another place and we sat outside and ate it. We then got asked not to eat it as it’s not from the pub. So we closed the boxes to eat later. Then went to order another drink and got told they wouldn’t serve us as said we had to leave? Extremely confusing as we did as instructed!!! Wish I’d just ate the pizza! However being a previous bar manager u would instruct all members of the public that you were no longer doing food if you couldn’t cope with the orders. Either way wouldn’t recommend, bad attitude bad service

Food was poor. Ordered a rare steak with the mixed grill and it was nearly burnt. The gammon and chicken were overcooked and tough and they forgot to put an egg on the plate, which they brought to us when my partner went to the bar to say it was missing. I booked the table for 6pm saying one person was gluten free. There was no gluten free menu on the table. I had to ask for it at the bar when ordering, holding up the queue behind me while I looked at it. The chicken and chorizo special was already sold out at 6 pm. When ordering I was told food would take 45 mins to get out. Since we only had the table from 6-7:20 pm that was unacceptable. In all a very disappointing experience. We always rank the food we eat between 0-10 and this got a 2.

Came out on the off chance for a table of 5 for a birthday celebration they got us seated promptly and all the staff were fantastic and very helpful food was great & hot. Had a lovely evening thank you to the staff at the cock. Will be visiting again soon.

Even though they were super busy all the staff were super attentive and nothing was ever too much. Food was tasty and hot. Well presented! Also made better by the great 30% off mains offer!

We had booked our table in Delias Den where we were able to relax with our dogs. For some reason I was not able to find my 30% off voucher on my phone. However, Joanne very kindly honoured it, which was much appreciated and our “ultimate spicy burgers” (best in town😋) were, as always, very much enjoyed.

The online booking is easy and takes no time which ensures that you have a table at busy times. The staff are always friendly and helpful which makes a change these days, we find the choices on the menu are good and the food is always to a high standard

A definite favour for our whole family. Dedicated disabled spaces and easy access inside to various tables. Very nice menu, and friendly staff. Great range of drinks to. Always coming back here. Update July 2024, sadly this time when we went, the staff were very unsure about letting me take my assistance dog into the restaurant area, and wanted me to sit in the bar area, where the only table available was with seating far too high. I had to point out that she was trained to sit under the table and couldn't be refused. Eventually they gave in and allowed me to sit in the restaurant area, where my dog did her duty and sat under the table, never in the way of others. However it is very sad that we still in this day and age have to explain to people the rules and law regarding assistance animals.

I meet my best friend with his family to have a birthday meal and we were booked in fine with drinks and then taken to the table all food was ordered and came out in timely fashion apart from mine this had been forgotten from the order so I had to sit and wait whilst all the others in the party were eating there food quite embarrassing really for the staff they did get my food out but towards the end of everyone else finishing there food, would I visit again well the food was good but the service wasn’t so. I would say I’m sitting on the fence as to whether I would go back for another meal.
