Food was good. Service was good and environment was good. Please keep children from running around as i was nearly tripped up by him on two occassions.

I chose to have a late lunch at this venue since there were only about 16 people in the restaurant area. Given my work commitments, I felt confident that I could enjoy a pub lunch and still make it to my local destination with time to spare. However, I was disappointed when it took about twenty-five minutes to receive my traditional pub lunch of chips, peas, and steak pie. Despite the delay, I genuinely enjoyed my meal, and without the wait, I would have given a five-star review.

Great night out and good value and good quality food and drinks

We are staying in the area for a few weeks with my parents. A couple of weeks ago we went out looking for a place for a drink and lunch. We first arrived at the pub across the rd as it was the first one we came to. The atmosphere, menu and drinks were terrible. We left and walked across the rd to the Cock pub. We were immediately greeted, everyone was warm and friendly and we knew it was already so much better. We found a table, it was warm, the menu looked yummy (and the food we had was), the drinks selection is great and everyone of the staff that helped us then and on our visit yesterday has been brilliant. They all have amazing customer care and you see it with all other customers they help. I am a Customer Service Manager in London and would hire any of them for my team. Please let them know just how amazing they are and we will be going back tomorrow and whenever we visit in the future.

Went with 5 family members . All our meals were different but everyone said they were good. Great value as I had a 30% off voucher. Staff were helpful and polite. Nice atmosphere in the pub . Was able to reserve table online easily.

Excellent food and service every visit

We had booked our table in Delias Den where we were able to relax with our dogs. For some reason I was not able to find my 30% off voucher on my phone. However, Joanne very kindly honoured it, which was much appreciated and our “ultimate spicy burgers” (best in town😋) were, as always, very much enjoyed.

Would highly recommend!! *Edit - We came again for a meal this afternoon and seriously just can't see where people find negatives with this place. We've been here maybe 5-10 times to eat for various reasons and party sizes and have only had great experiences. They are well priced, friendly staff, nice pub food and a nice place to be. Not sure what else they can do 🤣

I usually don’t mind the cock in however my last two experiences haven’t been great. First one I went with my friends and got our orders wrong and got funny when we mentioned it and seemed reluctant to deal with it. Second time and most recent, me and my partner., could not use order at table as there was no option for removing items from the meal, so went to the till and ordered, got a starter which was macaroni cheese and paid £7 extra for chicken strips on top, got the food and it had 1 chicken strip! We also got hunters chicken with cheesy chip which we paid extra for, and the cowboy burger with upgraded loaded fries. The chicken had a very small amount of bbq sauce, and little to no cheese in the chips. When asked for extra sauce, was like slung on table. On the menu you can upgrade your normal chips to loaded for around £2 however got the receipt and said an extra £9 and when questioned was told they don’t have a button on their till for that so charged us a meal of loaded fries without telling us , Quality of burger was not great and bun was very hard.

Fantastic place, staff are always so friendly and inviting, and food was lovely. Very clean and is a great place to spend with friends. We always have a great time, best place around. A great gem on our doorstep.

Great staff, very accommodating to our Dairy Free granddaughter, wonderful food, arrived within the expected time, it is our "Go To" place whenever the mood takes us.

Went to the cock inn today for a wake after a family funeral on arrival bar staff were friendly and welcoming to make our way too the area for us the buffet food was very good excellent and varied fillings in the sandwiches the sausage rolls were to die for !! I would go back again and try some of there meals of there menu the place was very busy but the staff did not seemed in a rush nothing was to much trouble and my uncle said the guinness was very good

Had a lovely meal at the cock again never fail to impress us. It was my granddaughter birthday meal we all had a wonderful evening thank you.

Very good quality food brought out in good time. Very helpful staff and good range on the NGCI menu. Only thing that may make it even better is having a vegan cheese option for those with Dairy intolerance. Specifically cheese slices for the burgers and melty cheese on Nachos (Available in most supermarkets so wouldn’t imagine being unreasonable).

We’ve never been to the cock inn before and we had been bought tickets for New Year’s Eve, wheelchair accessible, friendly staff, great atmosphere and they checked in on us often and helped with my food allergies, the manager went above and beyond

Live locally. Often visit with friends for lunch. Booking online is easy. Good communication. Good service. Special deals are welcome. Always leave a tip as staff are attentive.

Decided to go out for boxing day lunch easy to book, arrived table was ready staff all very polite love that it was table service and not having to wait at the bar, food came out and was lovely .

A very tasty meal for 10 of us pre our family Thursford day. Food was exceptionally well presented and delicious. We always supple the Cock Inn with our food choices prior to our visit and have done this for years. They very rarely get anything wrong. It’s a lovely place to meet up with our family prior to going to Thursford.

Very Friendly staff. Excellent food and service. Portions are generous and food is cooked and presented well. Good value for money, especially when one of their 30% offers is on. By far my favorite place to eat.

We booked this late and didn't expect anything to extravagant for the prices charged but after eating there did not think the food was worth what we paid, my prawn cocktail was very small and tasteless, I orded a burger and the pate were half the size of the bun however were quite tasty, I ordered a sunday and it was served with a long sunday spoon which was a joke as the glass it was in was tiny and a normal teaspoon could easily reach the bottom. Take my advice if you want a cheap meal go to Mcdonalds or the Whifler.

Nice place to eat. We had the festive meal but were disappointed with the starter. However, the rest of the food was very nice.

We popped in for lunch. Nice choice of menu. We both opted for a baguette, one chicken, one steak. We waited a while considering it wasn't busy. On arrival the food was presented ok. The food was edible, the chicken thigh was viscid and not particularly pleasant on the palette. The steak was cooked well but was not generous with too much nacho sauce which ruined it. Wouldn't recommend this particular lunch but maybe would visit again choosing an alternative meal.

Mega mixed grill was very nice, cooked perfectly, despite it being fairly busy I didn't have to wait very long for my food, I will be dining here again

We were very disappointed my husband’s food was lovely and hot, I had roast chicken, the chicken was lovely but the vegetables were just warm peas cold very cold the one stuffing ball was so hard as when I cut into it went cross the room, the cauliflower cheese was all runny not nice at all, the lady did come and ask if everything was ok but she only asked my husband and hurried off without asking me so will we go back 100pc no

Amazing food, amazing service, happy daughter who was playing outside and colouring at the table. I do wish I got a roast after I saw my partners. However my burger was 10/10. Deffo coming back.

Food was excellent, the restaurant was clean and tidy, the service was a bit slow but this was probably down to how busy it was, but overall we had a lovely family meal and a very nice time.

Brilliant helpful staff always keeping us aware of food wait times. The food is hot and as we ordered special off the menu meals never any trouble, and when we book on line we ask for a specific table which is generally the one we get GREAT SERVICE

A really fabulous pub with some great food, especially the Salt & Chilli Chicken Kebab with Hot Maple flavour sauce and fries, and really lovely staff. It made my long-awaited return visit to Norwich really enjoyable and memorable.

A busy night as it was quiz night but we were warned about any wait times for food. The food came out more quickly than expected and was really delicious. Nice wine, good beer, bustling atmosphere and excellent value for money. Thanks!

We enjoyed a lovely meal on Friday. My daughter suffers with a severe peanut and nut allergy and eating out is a stressful time for us. However the online allergy menu made the choices easier for us to navigate. Her food was brought out separately and it was evident the chefs had taken great care to ensure she could enjoy a safe meal. It makes all the difference to us and we all enjoyed a really tasty meal . It was really busy but we were pre warned about the slight delay and it didn’t matter as the food was worth waiting for. Would recommend. And especially recommend to all those who have to navigate a food allergy.

Went for lunch with family there was 8 of us hadn't booked a table as didn't expect it to be busy on a Tuesday lunchtime it was very busy but wasn't a problem food is lovely and reasonably priced I work in a pub and know how hard work it can be especially when it's busy but the staff were friendly even though you could see how busy they were definitely will be returning and 100 % recommend

Lovely friendly staff helped me place my order with my voucher and service was very quick, food arrived hot and amendments to order were fulfilled regarding gluten intolerance. Nice atmosphere, music not too loud and lots of options for seating. Great experience definitely go again, lovely staff and tasty food.

Great place to eat or drink with your dogs. Separate dog section with tv's. There some high tables and chairs in there which aren't suitable for dog owners. Pub style food but very nice.

I have been here many times. On this occasion, I had the Wednesday evening special. I had a chicken tikka masala and a rocky road sundae, and a Pepsi Max.

Came again tonight for my wife's birthday great food and service and took advantage of the 20% savings again we'll be back thanks team 👍 Really nice experience tonight we had cowboy burger and BBQ Chicken burger and Surf n Turf all very tasty a nice young waitress obviously a trainee but she ws polite and did her job well so hats off to management training, Pub atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the drinks went down well we'll be back again

The team were very helpful. They had advised us the meal may take a while to come out, but was quicker than they said. My dad has just recovered from throat cancer so we needed extra water and gravy on the table and the team were so helpful. Cock Inn is located at 1 Drayton High Rd, Drayton, Norwich NR8 6AE. The food quality is below standard, particularly the "Flat white" which is the worst that I ever have in the past 10 years time. It is too milky no taste of coffee, have reflected it but the re-do one is still very poor. However, the customer service is very good. Don't expect too much for food and drink here. Have several parking bays. Nice location. Sorry to write this here but just want to say the truth.

Bar service was super quick. A long wait for food, 35 minutes and they weren't at full capacity. Food is basic but tasty.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a bit of wait for the main meal, however when it came it was hot and tasty. Did look at the app to order but as some adjustments to the main meal we went to the bar to order

Fabulous service, lovely meals, fantastic portion sizes and great value for money, nice clean restaurant, with friendly helpful staff. One of our party found something untoward in her battered fish, after mentioning to staff it was swiftly dealt with and compensated for. Couldn't fault anything, a lovely time was had by all 6 of us. I came over from Wolverhampton to Drayton to visit my mum I reviewed the pub on trip advisor before arriving and saw good reviews. I must say that they were right and we had a lovely meal It was really busy when we arrived but we were found a table and served quickly and efficiently. Gammon I chose was lovely and my mum enjoyed her tuna mayo potato. On paying I was served by Chloe and I explained that I wanted to use my meerkat app discount but found that as I had already opened the qr code twice it wouldn’t allow me to do it again.i did prove that I had valid membership and I was really grateful that she allowed me discount My mum will be recommending that her friends visit and I certainly will again on my next trip from the midlands

We came here for lunch with some friends we'd never been before. We ordered fish and chips. It was freshly cooked and delicious. We'll come again

We live locally and haven’t visited for several years after a disastrous Fathers Day meal. However we were invited to meet friends there and thought we’d give it a go. We booked online a few hours before arrival, and once we got there we were pointed to our table fairly quickly. It's a pub where you have a table number and then order at a bar, which to be fair with the kids works fairly well. With food ordered it didn't take overly long to come out - we were all fairly hungry and it was demolished quickly...! The food was hood and reasonably priced - the atmosphere was good and ideal for kids. We would not hesitate using this pub again!

We had steak - medium rare - perhaps very slightly underdone but no problem. Both steaks were tasty and almost melt in the mouth. The service was friendly and the wait for our meal good as we understood it was being cooked from fresh. The only downside was we were sat next to the toilet door. This would not have been a problem if it did not close with a very loud bang every time it was used! Slight niggles which reduced the rating by one star. Last time we visited, several years ago, we complained about the dust and dirt this time it was spotlessly clean.
