The best restaurants in Broadland East of England

Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. Disappointed in my coffee though as I ordered an iced caramel latte, hoping it would be as good or better than the chilled ones from supermarkets. I'm sure it would be to some peoples' tastes but I felt it lacked flavour and body. I'll definitely go back to Costa but will get something else next time

We are new to the area and tried this chinese last week. It was delicious and fresh and full of real flavours. The owners were lovely and very prompt.

service was very good and my Ploughman Lunch was just right and very enjoyable. The staff was very good and for a light lunch it was great well done Girls.

Just had a family of 8 Easter Sunday lunch and we were all blown away by just how lovely every meal was. The setting by the river is gorgeous too. There was so much lamb and beef on our plates we had to take some home... food was all freshly cooked and the cauliflower cheese was sublime. Deserts we're enormous and the sticky toffee pudding with ginger snap was a lovely end to a fantastic meal. Service was wonderful too, so thank you all so much. We will definitely visit again.

This restaurant is under new management and the food has vastly improved. I had a beautiful vindaloo with stuffed paratha. Very,very nice curry. Lovely staff also.

Mother's day reservation here, the food we ordered had to be decided before getting there, that is understandable. The fish & chips I got were relatively decent, good portion of chips, fish was really good, light batter with crispiness, very much a treat. My starters, the halloumi sticks came with barbeque sauce, little spicy tang but not too hot. Overall a decent place for an occasion, food wise, you will be satisfied.

Very nice place to visit, friendly and good service

What a lovely restaraunt to visit. Went for a friends hen dinner after an afternoon at the spa. They were so lovely and accommodating. Let us decorate the table beforehand and the food was delicious. We had a mixture of roast dinners, burger's and lasagne. The food was really good and couldn't fault it. Along with great customer service. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Limited menu, no alchohol free beer, loww staff levels. Left without ordering.

We went one Christmas so booked a Sunday lunch. Walked in and was told place was now closed - no contact at all. Told we could go to another one in Norwich but it was rammed and food all gone. VERY disappointed. Place was excellent and staff brilliant. It will be missed

Waited about 20 minutes to get a portion of fish and chips this evening. I've recently moved back to the area having lived in Brundall as a teenager. The fish and chips here used to be excellent. I'm guessing it's changed hands as the shop looked dilapidated, signs for cash only everywhere which just looked tacky and crass and after the long wait the fish was burned, as in the batter was black on the outside, I've never seen that before in my life. I even worked in a chippy for years as a teenager and never once saw burnt batter. That's my first and last trip in a long time I think.

I come here every Wednesday with my 16 month old and I’m always blown away with how good this place is! They have a room set up with a baby gate and toys for the little ones which is ideal. The food is always amazing with good portion sizes. The staff are always really friendly and go out of their way to help and always interact with my little girl. I really can’t recommend Willows Cafe enough!!!

Food is lovely - cant fault it. The staff on the other hand are not. Have been in there when a couple of them are very nice & friendly but 1 in particular is extremely miserable & quite rude. Most of them look like they don't want to be there & really can't be bothered. Definitely puts me off going in there when these members of staff are working. Customer service training required!!!

We had the best night at The Red Lion! From the second we arrived, Holly made us feel like VIPs. She was warm, attentive, and full of energy—nothing was too much trouble. You could tell she genuinely cared that everyone was having a great time, and her positive attitude set the tone for the entire evening. The live music was absolutely brilliant—great selection, talented performers, and just the right volume so you could still chat at your table. It added such a fun, vibrant atmosphere to the night. Between Holly’s top-tier service and the fantastic entertainment, we didn’t want to leave. Can’t recommend The Red Lion enough—already planning our next visit!
