I had the cheese ploughmans with gluten free bread worse Ive ever had. Not cheap. Only 2 pieces cheese two tomatoes tiny amount of lettuce 3 small pickled onions and small amount of pickle. Then dry bread very uninspiring.

Popped in yesterday for lunch with my husband. This is my second visit. It was very busy but we found a table. It was a cold day but the tearoom was really warm and cozy. We ordered and it wasn’t long before our toasties arrived. Really tasty and the cappuccino is really good. It’s a lovely clean tearoom with really friendly helpful staff. Will definitely return.

Met up with a friend on Monday who brought her dog so it was lovely we could sit outside in the exceptionally warm weather for Oct. The service was friendly and I had a really lovely cappuccino and the most delicious bakewell. A really generous piece too. My friend had a pot of tea which she enjoyed. We really enjoyed our first visit here and will definitely return.

Met a friend for a cup of tea and a scone….no scones left so just ordered tea for two. Sat down and as soon as we brought the cup of tea up to our mouths it smell odd. Unfortunately the taste of the tea was even worse! Completely undrinkable, perhaps the water boiler needed a descale or the teabags were cheap and nasty or both…absolutely disgusting! We mentioned it to a member of staff who was not bothered in the slightest! No offer of a replacement drink, so we sat and chatted with no drink or food. Would not return. Needs bringing into the 21st century….customers expect a lot more….well even a good basic cup of tea would be a start!!

Small cafe who now own what used to be the public courtyard toilet. It is locked with an access code. So you have to buy something in the cafe in order to use the facility or walk to the main garden centre which is a long way if you are physically challenged The tea and coffee is okay but they do not have a choice of gluten free food.

Always loved this place & recommend it to everyone - delicious food & drinks & usually friendly - helpful staff - however the last two visits I have been barred at the door by an over zealous staff member - who was very brusque & spoke to me like I was a recalcitrant child!! Has put me off a bit!

Spent the evening out with my family only to be met with Michelin style service. The young lad Jack stole the show delivering my tea and my partners coffee is record breaking times. As well as offering other special treats, any of our complaints and queries were answered swiftly with professionalism. Will definitely be visiting against, hoping to see Jack and give him the tip he deserve.

Went to this tea room for coffee/tea together with a cake. Lovely to have a good service from the staff whereby drinks and refreshments could be brought over to you (particularly if you are a disabled person). Drink (coffee) was excellent standard - good quality coffee used and served correctly (not a weak tepid drink). Super selection of cakes on offer. Menu of food also offered excellent and varied. Would highly recommend to anyone.

A cosy little cafe with great food at reasonable prices. Food is good quality and theres lots to choose from! One of the staff members ( possibly the supervisor/cook) was accomodating to my request not to have cheese in the toastie, although she said the boss normally doesn't allow it to be done without which I do find a bit odd and a little unfair on those who either dont like cheese or have an allergy - this is my only downside of going here. The cherry and almond cake ( which tasted like cherry bakewell) was soooo good!

This is a lovely 'jewel in the crown' situated in a sunny courtyard at the rear of Taverham Garden Centre. It is a traditional tea room and the staff are very helpful and politeWe had a slice of Almond cake, Date slice, coffee, tea and scones, all home made to perfection, and can you believe it, my wife had her hair cut in the lovely family run hair salon situated almost next door, she was extremely happy with the haircut.Thank you for a very nice experience What more could you ask for, a good cup of tea and a happy wife!

Stumbled across this pleasant tea room on a recent visit to the garden centre. The staff welcomed me with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. The cakes all looked amazing but I unfortunately could only manage one.....the cherry and almond cake was delicious. The recent reviews I have just read truly shock me.....clearly two reviews from the same person! Personally if I wanted cheese on toast I’d have made it at home and sampled one of the many other choices such as sausage plait or the famous tea & bunns quiche!

Extremely rude and unhelpful staff. Refused to exchange inedible food and due to their rudeness and hostility, forced us to leave without touching our drinks. Strongly advise not to eat at this establishment!

Absolutely awful experience, I ordered cheese on toast... i was served warm bread with half melted grated cheese on top. I had one mouthful and it was inedible, I politely asked if I could swap my in eaten cheese on bread for a cheese scone and was rudely refused. The owners repeatedly told me this is how they’ve always served cheese on toast and refused to give me a refund or a replacement item.

We just been shopping and fancied a bite and time was pushing on went out of our way to visit the tea rooms. 3:39 and sign on door said Open and closes at 4:00pm Got evil eyes when we walked in waitress cleaning tables obviously didn't want any one else in. Counter lady was more responsive to us we had Coffee and tea and a couple of slices of cake. Sat down and about 3 more couples entered after us, told no more filter coffee as machine is empty but can have other coffee. Fair enough but 4pm closing should mean service right up To 4pm, and sure enough exactly 4:00 the closed sign went over on the front door. We never felt comfortable right from the start so come on staff without your customer's your little expensive gold mine would not exist very disappointed with customer approach and manners.

This tearoom is not in the main building it is around the back of the garden centre in the craft shop area. It is much more cosy and less busy than the main restaurant and perfect when I met a friend for tea and scones.

A pretty tea room with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. There is a wide range of homemade cakes to choose from. I had a generous portion of delicious apricot sponge cake with an equally generous pot of mint tea. The cheese scones were the biggest, lightest and most 'cheesy' of any I have ever tasted. On my last visit I had a salad with scotch egg, cheese and ham and my son enjoyed a baked potato.

The sandwiches ( Blt and chicken and mayonnaise) were good sized sandwiches on delicious bread. A pot of tea for two gave 3 cups each and the hot chocolate was lovely. Nice surroundings and friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. Disappointed in my coffee though as I ordered an iced caramel latte, hoping it would be as good or better than the chilled ones from supermarkets. I'm sure it would be to some peoples' tastes but I felt it lacked flavour and body. I'll definitely go back to Costa but will get something else next time

Really enjoyed my food and the coffee was nice. The noise was unbelievable and it's really not that much of a big area and it wasnt like there was a large group at a table making lots of noise. We couldn't hear ourselves speaking to each other. Decor was nice. The exterior windows need a good clean. Not a lot of parking outside.

Food was not a very high in standards at all chips and onion rings were dripping with oil, steak was not cooked as requested, when we got there we order a few drinks a young lad took are drink order even though he was still sorting drinks for other people never waited so long just for a drink.would not come back again so £100 for poor food and poor service for four people, way over priced .
