The best restaurants in Broadland East of England

Chips were good but we were overcharged. What I ordered should cost (according to the new owners price list) £16. Which I must say was a lot more than old owners charged. But they charged us £20. I did question this and was told it was correct. Chips were very nice just so expensive. Don't think we will be going back to our previous favourite 😔

Myself and my husband decided to have a takeaway googled this place to be honest wasn't much option around. But so pleased we choose here it really was best takeaway I've had for a while. Bit of a nonsense to only take cash but we did know this before we went. We both had something different and was pleasantly surprised at the potion sizes. Food was tasty and shame we live so far away but if I came this way again I would choose here.

Nice hotel, clean room and good beds (+1 point). But they do not daily clean (-1 point), to bad The room was extremely hot and there is no temp control except for opening windows and the door (!) (-1 point) Positive point, room had a fridge (+1 point), you do not see that anymore. But unfortunately the complementary water ( or other drinks) where missing (-1 point). Tesla chargers present but not working (-1 point). When I ordered medium rare steak i got two small pieces of well done beef (-1 point). WRONG!!!! So i sent it back. But the chef said this is how they cook it. Pitty they have no idea how to cook steak (-10 points). You better have dinner at Fatso’s in town, very good and much better. Sorry, bur this is how you ruin an experience I am not coming back again Total score: - 13 points Sorry, an absolute no go.

In my opinion the cafe has gone down hill. The food used to be good but not so now. The service isn’t as welcoming as it used to be and the breakfast was hardly warm, with the exception of the hash brown.

Upon entering there was a strong smell and decor to match walking into an elderly person's care home. We were very surprised, however we didn't want to judge as the kitchen aren't in charge in decor so the food could be amazing. When I looked at the Carvery you could clearly see it had been sat there a while. There wasn't much on offer by means of vegetables and the gravy was like water. We went to our tables to still not have our drinks and I looked down at the plate with low expectations. Not one piece of what was on my plate tasted edible. I called the manager over. She asked what was wrong, despite me saying all of it was disgusting, and so I went through every item on my plate: Turkey was dried out and rock hard, gravy was water and light brown, roast potatoes had been reheated and been sat a while and got hard, cauliflower cheese was so hard my fork nor knife will cut it (and I showed her a demonstration) and the cheese sauce is just like the gravy - water, the broccoli was like the cauliflower and the Yorkshire pudding - wow - I've never tasted anything like it. I asked what recipe the chef was using or was his flour severely out of date as it tasted like plasticine from school, like the play-doh and to finish it off the sausages were still pink inside so I didn't feel comfortable eating it considering the state of everything else on my plate. I tried everything on the plate but could not take more than one bite of it, it was that bad.

I went on a Saturday around 10 oclk to use the butchery and when I saw the queue to pay as it shared with cafe with what looked like one person serving was a complete joke so walked out .

What a lovely friendly team. We arrived cold, muddy and wet on bikes and we were treated with great kindness and delicious well priced food. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks all.

I wanted to find somewhere different for when my sister and I meet up. I loved this area in Norwich and spotted it so looked at their lunch menu so thought I would give it a go. As usual Thai people were very friendly and lovely and the food so fresh and authentic.

A homely restaurant with lovely food and excellent service. We'll go again soon to enjoy afternoon tea.

He estado comprando fish 'n chips de ellos durante años. Nunca me han decepcionado con lo que producen, desde su pequeña porción para 2. 50 a lo suficiente como para alimentar a cinco de nosotros. Puede esperar mientras se cocina pescado fresco o más chips, pero siempre vale la pena.

Went on Mother's Day, terrible. Food choices limited even though we were there early lunchtime. My daughter is vegetarian but both choices were sold out. Ended up having a starter with some chips added. I refused to pay for the chips. My roast lamb was inedible, Yorkshire pudding burnt. Only good thing was the river view. Just go for a drink.

Although the food is not bad and they have quite a variety on the menu I was very disappointed to have looked foward to potato fritters only to be told "we only do them on Mondays." The menu should clearly say this and it has put me off wanting to return.

Loved our lunch there, excellent quality. Didn't stay so can't comment on the rooms.

Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. Disappointed in my coffee though as I ordered an iced caramel latte, hoping it would be as good or better than the chilled ones from supermarkets. I'm sure it would be to some peoples' tastes but I felt it lacked flavour and body. I'll definitely go back to Costa but will get something else next time
