I visited here with my husband for breakfast. We had been to the Garden Centre before but not the cafe. The Garden Centre has it's own car park, which is large and has plenty of spaces. The cafe looks lovely. The decor is light and airy and they have bits and bobs used as decoration that you can buy yourself from the shop. You can sit inside, in a conservatory area or outside. We sat inside. My husband ordered a large breakfast, I ordered toast and jam and we got a tea each. You order and pay at the till then collect your own cutlery / sauces etc before sitting down. Lovely if there a re a few of you, not so much for a single diner who would return to their table to find it taken by others. The ordering process was SLOW. The lady on the till was quite flappy and it was painful to stand and watch her. It made the till area very busy as the queue to order was getting longer and longer. The guy making the drinks wasn't any quicker. There were about 4 tables ahead of us when we ordered. Despite this, the food came out very quickly (not a good sign). My toast was floppy bread with a slight crust to the outside. Not amazing bread made worse by not toasting it properly. It had the floppy, cold texture of those rolling toast machines you get in hotels. My husband's breakfast was a mix of being cold and lukewarm. It came out so quickly I think they must have bulk cooked food in preparation and kept it hot plated. It was so cold he couldn't eat it and took it back. After them just looking at him, they replaced his breakfast. Despite no apology at the till when returning it, the guy who brought the second one out was lovely and apologised. However, my toast wasn't replaced, not the drinks, so I had already finished my food before my husband's replacement came out so he felt awkward eating alone and it took the shine out of our breakfast treat. My husband said the breakfast wasn't great. The fried bread was just oily and nasty and the ingredients just 'meh'. The scones looked lovely and we got a couple to take home and to be fair, these were very nice. Looking at the cakes and other scones they had out, these all looked delicious too. The cafe isn't cheap. And the food isn't worth what we paid. The staff are unfriendly and appear very untrained. No one seemed to look like they were enjoying working there and the service was utterly shambolic. As stated above, the cakes all looked very nice so maybe this is somewhere to go for a nice bit of cake and a coffee whilst browsing the Garden Centre itself. We will return to the Garden Centre again as it is a nice place for plants. But for a meal, we would not return here. It was bad.

I wish to defend this centre and the fantastic, hard working team against a couple of reviews that have been left unfairly. The local constabulary were involved in one of the incidents mentioned and another was left by a disgruntled delivery driver. Verbal and physical abuse is not acceptable in any shape or form. The centre is full of lots of lovely people, fabulous plants, gifts, food, pots etc and have a fantastic coffee shop/restaurant serving delicious home cooked food and service with a smile. You will not be disappointed when you visit.

Rude untrained staff and NEW owners are no better!!! Been going here since it opened for breakfast and as much as the staff are there, there’s not much input while shopping on your way out. So we went to the Till to purchase 3 pairs of sunglasses I’d picked up on the way out, I asked for the price to be checked as it said £10 on them but pair we brought last week, said £10 on them but scanned £5. The guy on the till just said “they are £10 it’s says it there” I then explained we had purchased them last week and they were marked £10 but scanned £5. His response was “I don’t care they say £10” I then said “just scan them and even if there full £10 I will have them.” To my astonishment he then refused to serve me and got in his radio, within 30 second we were being surrounded by garden and shop staff about 10 people. The guy that was on the till that had dissipated them reappeared shouting “I told them they are marked £10 and they scan at £5” WOW!! this was not the case! COMPLETE NONE TRUTH! So straight away all the staff jumped on his side. We both felt very threatened and scared as there was so many staff around us. A nice lady then scanned them and they came up £5 each NOT £10 and as I started to explain to the guy, that it’s was that simple to scan the barcode and this treble situation could have been avoided. At this point a guy from the garden centre outside came in wearing a high viz jacket started shouting “get out I’ll call the Police” So we left without the glasses I might add. I then took the time to explain by long email to the owners based at the Wyndham branch what had occurred and explained we had been good local customers. To my surprise the owner Brenda replied. I have reviewed the CCTV and as much as the staff shouldn’t have surrounded us, it may be better not to return!!! I WASNT GOING TO !!! Wrong way to treat your local customers, it closed down before due to bad management and we saw that owner come and go, wonder how long these will last.

Terrible place, greeted with a racist owner, same experience in their other garden centre at Wymondham. Overly priced as other garden centres were a lot cheaper. Luckily didn’t spend any money here as don’t want to line the pockets of racist people with my money! Never will I recommend or visit such a horrible place. My advise is to stay well clear and use the other garden centre in aylsham with local produce and friendly staff.

On arrival at the Aylsham Farm shop found it to be derelict with notice on the door to state that it had been closed!. Had been previously and had snacks in the nice cafe!

I visited on 2 consecutive days and had a nice fruit scone with clotted cream and jam. Service at counter and I sat at one of the outside tables in the sun. Extra hot water given on request. Garden centre itself seemed surprisingly empty with few customers.

Although the garden centre looks as if it’s closing down, it isn’t and it’s worth making the trip for the cafe inside. Stopped for breakfast and the full English including tea/coffee and toast was brilliant. Superb sausages, eggs just right and tasty bacon, plus grilled tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans. Freshly cooked, a lovely lady serving who made us feel very welcome and offered top ups, extra toast etc. Brilliant find,

Dropped in for a late breakfast and when I arrived 6 builders were placing their orders. Some had phoned their orders in and some had not, this is probably why my breakfast was missed. I sat and read the paper and drank my tea for about 20 minutes and then someone came and apologised that my order had been missed. 10 minutes later a lovely breakfast arrived with a free pot of tea. The breakfast was hot and the sausages and bacon were good quality, the tomatoes could have been cooked a bit more but had not just been taken out of a cold fridge so tasted very nice. Two rounds of toast came with a little pot of marmalade to you could decide how you wanted to use the toast. Mistakes happen but it's a good sign when you get proper apology and know that they mean it.

Previously we had posted a very positive review for Aylsham Farm Shop cafe. How times have changed. We shall not be visiting again., for these reasons. 1) Recently, 2 very experienced old timers, Shelley and Linda, have been compelled to resign because of treatment by management. 2) There have recently been many occasions when the standard of hygiene has been questionable. Dirty tables and unswept floors have been noticed when the members of staff who have now left were not present. However, the alternative garden centre cafe ( Woodgate ) provides excellent plants and sublime food. We would also recommend a fine cafe in Aylsham town centre, Jenny's in Red Lion Street.

We went here for lunch today and decided to have a light lunch of toast, beans and egg. The seating area was cold, as were the beans. My egg was uncooked on top, the white was all jelly and runny. Perhaps we should have complained but that's not comfortable in a room where everyone can hear what you are saying. This seems to have changed recently. Prices would be very good value if they product was cooked better. Sorry we can't match the other reviews. Wish we could. I wouldn't normally leave a bad review but I rarely get time to spend with my mum or take her out and this spoilt our day. As this is such a lovely location and on a main road I would have expected better. Come on, I am sure you can do better.

Stopped for tea, coffee and a sandwich, wasn't sure as we had our puppy with us but he was made very welcome as we were, the staff were extremely helpful and polite and the food was quick and fresh and nicely presented, the food options were good and the outside eating area lovely. Reasonably priced, and well worth a visit

There is plenty of competition in Aylsham for good bread, rolls and cakes but this is still our go to bakers. The quality and value is excellent and the staff are always very helpful ( happy to put rolls aside for me to collect later). I would recommend the cheese straws and rolls but the cakes are delicious too.

So, me and my good lady went here for breakfast this morning, 22/09/24. She asked for eggs benedict and I asked for the full English. My drink was coke and I asked for no ice, of course it came WITH ice but no big deal, I let that go. The meals arrived and my partners was Eggs Royale NOT eggs benedict that she had asked for. I pointed this out to the server and she whisked it away and apologised. My Full English only had one sausage, the menu states sausages, sausage with an S on the end implies more than one and I said so. Also a flat mushroom, as on the menu is not HALF a mushroom, again I pointed this out to the server, along with the fact that my toast had no butter on it and none was provided or offered. The half tomato, again tomato on the menu is NOT HALF of a tomato, looked like it had been cooked before and kicked around the kitchen a few times but I let THAT go too. The poor girl was very apologetic and went off to get my butter, sausage and the other half of my mushroom, along with my partners' eggs benedict, which came back suspiciously quickly considering we had waited for half an hour for our meals previously, and sure enough, she could taste the salmon in it when she started eating. The "chef" had obviously swapped the salmon for ham and sent it back out, luckily my partner is not allergic to salmon.. We ate it and I paid as we were both so hungry that neither of us wanted to try to find somewhere else to get breakfast before the cut off time but we were both VERY disappointed by the whole thing as we expect better from any restaurant but especially one that I THOUGHT was a quality establishment, I was obviously very wrong about that based on this experience, shocked really isn't a strong enough word..

Went this afternoon. They messed up our food order even though it wasn't busy. I collected my coffee, sat down and started drinking it and then they came over and took it away. They said they had accidentally given me my drink in another customers reusable cup. They then bought me a replacement drink a few minutes later which was not what I had ordered.
