I came here with for lunch while my dog was at the groomers. The place was packed which was a good indication of its popularity. The food was great, very fresh and very tasty. I had the vegan sandwich option and my partner had the vegetarian breakfast. The coffee was good and hot and the cakes were amazing. My daughter and I had the vegan shortbread with pecan topping. It was the best cake I have eaten for a long time and a good size too. Would definitely recommend it and return - for the cakes alone.

This is the 2nd time we’ve been to this Costas and both times they served stale cakes! Won’t be visiting again . Did complain the first time and asked to change the cake which the staff weren’t happy about it as the 2nd choice may have cost a few pennies more which I did say I was happy to pay! Costas you need to spend more of your huge profits on extra staff who can clean up the tables and sweep the floors in between customers sitting at the tables instead of customers having to move the used trays to sit there!

There is plenty of competition in Aylsham for good bread, rolls and cakes but this is still our go to bakers. The quality and value is excellent and the staff are always very helpful ( happy to put rolls aside for me to collect later). I would recommend the cheese straws and rolls but the cakes are delicious too.

Firstly , the staff who served was not polite to say the least , no smile or politeness . Very blunt in her manner to us , I asked if they still had any Jacket potato’s left she said just one , so my hubby had this and I had a toasty . Noticed a little while later a fellow customer who was served 10minutes after us was eating a jacket potato ?? Funny how was only one left when I asked !!! Food was nice but will not bother going again

Pulled up very good looking pub for Sunday lunch. Now way not given a 5 rating nice sunny day pub not busy as other seats still empty when we left. We were seated in this dark Dingy hole of a room at the back with tight seating, I would refuse to sit they again. Well we had a very good pleasant happy server and excellent service throughout. All the Sunday lunches were wonderful and tasty, beef, pork and a nut roast apart from the large cabbage stork on mine. Deserts were very nice only point very small choice and mainly chocolate/toffee related which is not to my taste. Yes we would go back on the proviso not seated in the same area.

Now called the Water’s Edge, we had a great evening here on the Saturday over the August bank holiday weekend. Really friendly and relaxed owners who made us feel very welcome and a great atmosphere. It was the most fun night we had on our weekend boating holiday!

I saw an advert for this place and decided to check it out. Myself, my dad and sister had been shopping at Longwater, so not far to travel. The restaurant was buzzing and we had to wait a short while to be seated. After choosing our food and having to wait a bit it arrived. My sister was alarmed that she had black pudding and mushrooms on her plate. Neither of which were in the meals description. Father enjoyed his meal, although he couldn't eat all of it due to the size. My meal is the main reason for writing this review….. The eggs could have been cooked a little longer, far too many mushrooms, no baked beans, and no hash browns. But my biggest grip is concerning the vegetarian sausages. They were dreadful, the kind of rubbish served up in the 70’s. Mashed Potato with bits of pea and carrot in a fine breadcrumb. Today there are so many vegetarian sausage options on the market, many very good and tasty. I know that something better could have been served. I’m so shocked that a fancy and expensive place like this would dish up such crap. And for the price of the meal I felt angry and ripped off. I’m sorry to say that this first visit to The Goat Shed will also be my last.

Poor toast, very weak coffee, had to ask for a forgotten drink, food item and spoons. Not very good.

Scones were delightful, customer service was brilliant. It was extremely busy and the lady at the till couldn't do enough to help,we did share a table which is fine thanks to the lovely staff. I have noticed that what day you visit depends on the experience regarding service.

Ordered 2 coffees , ordered but then waited ages whilst she served other people in drive thru then had to come back and asked us to remind her what we were having . Her helper was outside having a cigarette whilst a queue formed Drinks ended up being rushed and not very nice
