Never been before so thought we’d check it out! Cafe gave garden centre vibes, busy, plenty of menu choice and large cakes. Was not wowed by the English breakfast. But sausages good quality so always a win! Generous portion. But I wish it had of come with beans! Instead I got cress on top which seems strange On a full breakfast but went with it! Food came pretty fast. We visited on a weekday. The waitress was friendly and polite.

We have been here a couple of times now and on both occasions the service has been super slow! On this visit our food arrived first and drinks five mi utes later! When we arrived staff saw us waiting for a table but they all just passed us by! Not good enough - make sure you have lots of time when visiting - food was okay - they need more staff and ANOTHER COFFE/TEA MACHINE ..

Over riding vinegar taste with poached eggs. Otherwise decent breakfast tea & polite staff. Clean venue and plenty of parking.

My friends are all raving about this place, so finally I got around to a visit. Arrived midway through Sunday morning and the restaurant was packed! We were offered a table in the marquee, beside the children's play area. I was hesitant at first as the goats are closed by and the smell is a bit pungent!! Yes - I KNOW it's a shop and restaurant on a goat farm and goats pong, but I didn't expect to be so close to them!! But we agreed to sit there as the waitress offered to put the heated blowers on and we were cosy within a few minutes and it's amazing how the nose acclimatized to the smell!! We were told as we were seated there was a 40 minute wait for food, and this was also displayed on a blackboard at the entrance to the restaurant. This was fine as we only wanted coffee and cake. The coffee was hot and delicious. Sadly the coffee and walnut cake which looked amazing on the counter had very few walnuts in it and did not taste of coffee! However, the staff were extremely polite and welcoming and the although the place was absolutely heaving by the time we were ready to pay and leave, they still had time for a quick chat and a smile. The farm shop was packed full of local Norfolk produce and I'll definitely be back to shop when I need something a "bit special" But I'm not sure why everyone tells me the coffee shop is something special and I was missing out!?

Not been before but I was disappointed with first impressions. Our table was sticky and there was milk on one of the seats. The window sill and radiator were very grubby. I know it’s a shed, but folk are eating here so I’d expect it to still be clean. We were situated inside but I could see huge cobwebs on the fairy lights in the marquee section. Service was very slow to order and receive our food. We had the avo toast which was supposed to be with ‘smashed’ avocado but it was sliced and the seeds were no where to be seen. The ‘slow roasted’ tomato on the GOAT must have been roasted in a fridge as it was cold and almost raw. The poached eggs on both plates were overcooked to the point of being hard boiled. That said the coffees were very good and the sausages and bacon were piping hot. Not sure we’d return, even to see the cute goats

Visited after having brunch at another venue and on entering we felt that maybe we had chosen the wrong option. The marks are for our experience in the farm shop which is amazing, if you want local or Norfolk produce whether you’re local, passing through or on your hols this place is worth a detour. Next time we will be trying the restaurant the menu looks superb.

Came for coffee and cake late Sunday morning. They were very busy but we were able to get a table due to what we wanted. Had to wait almost 10 mins to order. Coffees were very good. Carrot cake was moist with a good flavour (4/5). Coffee and walnut chosen by partner was moist - 1st slice of new cake - and that was the best he could say. No coffee flavour and no walnuts. Too busy to catch serving staff and till staff indifferent. Have a loyalty card but will think twice about visiting again. At the prices they charge, we expect a better standard. Have they got too popular and lost their way?

We try to support family businesses whenever possible rather than chains. We have visited a couple of time and have the loyalty card. The breakfast is very tasty and I love the swannington black pudding. However, this morning the breakfast was barely warm enough to eat and the sausages were quite hard and dry as though they are preheated/cooked. Little point complaining as it is not something they can warm up and we didnt fancy waiting another 40 mins for a replacement, which I would have been eating on my own as my wife would have finished hers. Mentioned it to the girl when paying and she was quite dissinterested. Maybe they are now victims of their own success as it is very busy, which obvioulsy affect the waiting time and seems to have affected the quality/attention to detail. Such a shame as we drive around 30 mins to get there.

Have been a few times and this wasn't how I remembered. The staff were friendly however the food wasn't as tasty, the breakfast was dissapointing, sausages very pink, poached eggs I could just taste the vinegar and beans drowned the bacon and was overly priced. Coffee was lovely. The avocado and eggs was not the best only one slice of sourdough bread and for £11.95 would expect a better sized portion.

This was my third visit to The Goat Shed and will be my last. Having had wonderful experiences previously, I thought it would be the ideal place to take my Dad for a Birthday brunch, along with the rest of my family. Sadly, this visit was utterly substandard. The visit started well, the farm-shop is well stocked and full of delights, so we didn't mind one bit that (as the restaurant was busy), we were given a buzzer which would ring out when a table was ready for us. It was late morning on a Saturday, and I am fully aware that we visited at one of the peak times for a weekend Brunch; we expected to encounter a wait. It was once we were seated and provided with menus, that the experience drastically went downhill... Following our initial wait for a table, we then had an extremely long wait for someone to come and take our order, noting that tables arriving after us were being seen to ahead of us. Feeling like we were being ignored, my Dad questioned the delay with a passing member of staff, who with a very unpleasant attitude, snapped back at him that we were on the list and that someone would be over. I'm not sure how their list process works, but surely tables should be served in order of arrival - there is definitely something erroneous going on with this! Our orders were finally taken (three GOAT breakfasts and a Veggie GOAT breakfast), and forty minutes later (in addition to the previous delays!), our food arrived. Anaemic-looking sausages, overcooked bacon, dried up eggs, wet mushrooms swimming in liquid, and half a slice of sourdough with a smear of margarine. A handful of cress adds an unfittingly pretentious garnish. The vegetarian offering was no better, with those awful frozen 'blended vegetable' sausages, rather than a good-quality meat substitute, of which there are plenty out there now! At around £13pp, you would expect a lot better; it appears value for money is non-existent here. The same member of staff who snapped at my Dad previously was at the counter when we paid, with the same sullen demeanour, and could barely even bring herself to look at us when handing over the receipt, so engrossed was she in folding napkins. Some improvements are clearly required to customer service levels, as well as to the food! It's a lovely setting and a wonderful concept, but I can't help thinking that the business has overstretched itself now, opting for quantity of restaurant covers instead of focusing on the quality which, I'm sorry to say, has slipped drastically in the last twelve months.

This was so disappointing. Went for tea and cake, and chose Victoria Sandwich Cake and a pot of tea. The pot of tea didn’t even have enough tea to fill the cup, so I asked for more hot water. The cake came and was half the size of everyone else’s in the group, as was my friends. We said that we had paid the same as everyone else so should have the same size. The waitress said she’d get more but never returned. £7 for half a cup of tea and half a slice of cake. They’d evidently over sold as there was none left when we departed, so it seems they cut the last piece in half…..

Great friendly staff well portioned plate and good coffee made for the perfect start to a busy Saturday. All food cooked to order and much of the produce locally sourced. Tasty and filling with excellent facilities. Will be back soon for more

We have been visiting the Goat Shed for brunch for quite some time now, when we received the email regarding the roast dinner launch we had to try it. I am sceptical about roast dinners as they are never the quality that you get at home! Well, the Goat Shed did not disappoint! It was amazing, this is the first weekend of the Roast and I can honestly say, it is the G.O.A.T roast! Never had a bad meal, brunch is always a banger too, it is probably best to book a table in advance, however, we have never had to wait too long, and the staff notify you if there is any delay with food. Great service, great food and amazing local produce, 10/10, 5⭐️, however you want to put it! Love this place!!!!

Got there just before it closed and Ollie was very nice and polite, despite probably having a very busy day. He didn't even ask for my NHS badge (he saw I was tired and dead behind the eyes) and wished me a good rest of day. Such a simple thing, but it made me happy and very appreciative of my coffee!
