This cafe used to be so good and friendly. I’ve been here many times but the service depends on which person is serving. There is a very miserable older lady who is quite rude to some customers. I asked for something adjusted on the menu and there was a whole staff meeting about it - in the end I just said not to bother. It has become overpriced and understaffed

After seeing a dog allowed in the butterflies cafe despite a clear notice stating dogs outside only we decided to take small dog on our next visit only to be told no dogs inside. Just visited again on 4/2 without dog only to find another dog inside the cafe. On asking the Question , what is your dog policy as there is some confusion? I was told, dogs outside only! The staff came back adding the manager was unaware there was a dog despite it wearing a high vis coat! Stange as the customers had been served their order. And that was that, as you were. I understand the situation regarding dogs and cafes but please whoever owns this string of cafes lay down some firm guidelines to your staff as they seem to do as they please regarding dogs.

Just had lunch at the coffee shop were I ordered a southern fried chicken wrap. When it arrived it reminded me of a piece of processed cheap breaded chicken. I tried to eat it but it had no flavour and tasted processed. I did bring this to the attention of the staff as constructive feedback but they didn’t seem to be that bothered. The cake I then bought was really good. Such a shame as they advertise farm shop products on their menu.

I have visited Butterflies Cafe numerous times as I have my car washed outside the premises, all of my visits have been good and this review is based on my last one. A quick hours break from work, means I can go and have my car washed, whilst waiting I frequent the Butterflies Coffee Shop for some coffee and cake. Always a good coffee and a nice variety of cakes I am trying to make my way through. Recommended.

Went here for a bite of lunch while I waited for my car to be washed and I wished I didn't! Ordered a Hunters Chicken Panini - it contained horrible cheap chicken, complete with veins and sinew, insipid bacon and was lacking in flavour. I ate it (minus the dodgy bits) because I had zero food at home but I definitely won't be returning based on today's efforts. Absolutely shocking that anyone would think that was acceptable food to serve in café to paying customers.

Came here with my husband for lunch before we had a look around the camping shop. My husband asked for a coronation chicken on white bread, they made it in brown bread, which he don’t typically like. I had the leek and potato soup, which was so bland no taste what so ever, I left half off it. Which was a shame because we have had quite a few meals there and that one we didn’t enjoy very much.

We have visited this cafe many times over the years and thoroughly enjoyed the experience but today we were left very disappointed by the quality of the food. We wanted a lite bite for lunch so ordered two cheese toasties which have always been crispy and well cooked and accompanied with a lovely salad garnish. What arrived today were thin soft, soggy squashed toasties in a bowl (a first!) with a handful of crisps on the side. The cheese was good but the rest was not really for the price charged for 2 slices of the cheapest brown bread with a side of crisps. No salad or option for salad was offered. Possibly the worst toastie I've had for a long time and the prices are on the expensive side. I am willing to pay for quality food which this was not. It's possible to get better for less in many other places so we won't be visiting again in a hurry.

I was quite excited to hear that the Blofield farm shop had taken over this cafe, however we were left a bit disappointed. My daughter has always liked coming here and they have always been able to do children's portions. On our visit this time we were told they could not do childrens portions of anything on the menu, such a shame. We therefore had to order an adult size panini, of which she only ate half. Such a waste, especially when we are in a cost of living crisis!! I am not sure if we would return if there isn't going to be any options on the menu for children.

Seems to have a change of management now. Certainly not as nice as it was. Staff not exactly rude but one got the feeling they would rather be elsewhere. We visited for lunch and noticed mostly new staff and discovered that the team from the Blofield Farm Shop have taken over the coffee shop. Hoorah! It was nice before, but it is even better. Products from the farm shop are on the menu, including their delicious savoury pastries and famous scotch eggs. There are good veggie options and still plenty of cakes to choose from. The service is good and friendly, and I noticed high chairs are available which used to be an issue for some people. I'm sure they track these reviews so I'd like to say congratulations, and if you put menus of the table instead of at the pay till, and change the small coffee cups for mugs we'll be dancing with delight! Good luck new team, you deserve to do well.

Visited last week for afternoon tea which I had been gifted. Delicious food served by friendly staff. Ample tasty sandwiches, wonderful scones and beautiful cakes. Far too much to eat so the lovely staff wrapped it for us to take away. Would certainly have rated it five star except for the fact one can only have one cup of coffee. If a refill had been available this would have been perfect.

We popped in for a cup of tea and slice of cake late afternoon. Ordered pot of tea for two a scone and a toasted tea cake. Although it wasn't very busy we waited over 20 minutes for our order. While waiting we noticed four to five trays full of dirty used crockery spread over the serving counter and while we were looking one of the ladies took one of the used milk jugs off of one of the dirty trays topped the milk up from a milk machine and put it on our order ready to bring it out to us. As soon as I saw this I spoke to the assistant at the till and said that this was not acceptable was not hygienic and should not happen. She said she would sort it out and agreed it should not have happened but did not speak to the woman who had done it or challenge her on why she'd had done such a disgusting thing. A very bad attitude towards customers who had a quite subtle word about an unhygienic practice. Beware
