The best restaurants in South Kesteven East Midlands

We had a most fantastic family lunch. We were 18 in number, 13 adults and four young children and a baby. The staff made the occasion very special with there attentiveness. The exciting soul food menu fitted all tastes and the food was well cooked, tasty and delicious.

Friendly staff and good breakfast. However it's a big place and there's never been anyone else there when I've been.

Used this place for many years. Good service and food. Outrageous parking charge issued. Parking company refused to accept three people entered reg number including restaurant staff. You have to try and prove you were in the right as apposed to them proving you were in the wrong. Disgusting attitude. Never again. That’s what contracting out parking does.

Like a village pub in a town.... Good beer, great atmosphere...love it!

The food and the hospitality were great, the steak was to die for and I would have given it 5 stars, however having been shopping at Tesco and found out the bottle of wine we had was on sale at £8.50, to have been charged £38.00! was just too much over the top. It’s a shame as it has soured the experience.

Visiting Stanford. So glad I visited Zen’s family run business. Zen was so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. At a late hour, he cooked me such an amazing meal called Three meat delicious! Also some Singapore noodles. Good quality & quantity too. Not too hot as requested by me. If I’m ever back in Stamford would love to return there again!

Delicious takeaway and great vegetarian options with mock meats. Thankful a takeaway is providing this! Whenever I return back home from Singapore, this is the first takeaway I order 😊 food is delicious- especially the five spiced tofu!

Great food. Great service by friendly staff. I want that vanilla latte with my last meal. I’m still Finkin about it. :):)

This was excellent food. Made nicely, not greasy and very enjoyable. Had to wait about an hour to get the food but it was a peak time on Saturday night. Certainly the best Chinese takeaway I’ve experienced in quite a long while. I would recommend them.

My family went to the Welby Arms for dinner yesterday evening. My husband is in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating, putting a ramp in place and helping him indoors. The food and service were both excellent, as always when we visit there. The landlords pie and the lambs liver in a Madeira gravy are highly recommended! We were so full after the main course, we couldn’t manage a dessert - maybe next time.

Visited on Saturday afternoon...a nice pint of Guinness, 80's music playing and a relaxed atmosphere.

Visited with my wife and friends. Must say we had no complaints about the food which was excellent. I haven't given it full marks because it was so cold in the area where we sat. My wife asked if we could move into the room where the fire was as at that time nobody was sat in there but was told that we couldn't. Will wait until summer before we return.

We order from here regularly but this driver who’ve I’ve never seen before has got an attitude that stinks. Think he needs to learn basic manners! Appalled!!

I arrived at the sugar mill today around 11.40 with my two children, the carpark was pretty empty and lots of free tables. I waited for a member of staff to come over, he asked if I had a booking my reply was no. He then said you need a booking. I left and went to my car, I then went onto the sugar mill website and made a booking to sit in the dining area, I went back into the sugar mill spoke to the same man and said I've made a booking showing him my phone. The man was quite rude when responding "I've told you already we don't have any space!" Surely if it was full I shouldn't be able to make a booking online? My children of 6 and 8 was shocked by the way he spoke. Anyway he was rude his name was Tom and i won't be returning to the sugar mill!!

Front of house 10/10 couldn’t fault Jess and Beth will definitely be going back, amazing with my 2 young children would definitely recommend for friendliest/ kindest beautiful pud service 10 out of 10
