Finkin's in South Kesteven

Great food. Great service by friendly staff. I want that vanilla latte with my last meal. I’m still Finkin about it. :):)

Food was ok so was the service nothing special the glasses were all stained it felt they weren’t properly washed or dried, pancakes were poor not much Nutella and they were a bit greasy they looked much better in the photos just didn’t gave it 2 stars because the main dishes were not bad needs improvement in the little things even the lemon wedge was very poor looked old it would have been better to say there was non available then to give it looking the way it did.

I have been a regular at Finkins Cafe for over 2 years now. The food quality is excellent and service is table service which I like. Staff are always pleasant and helpful,which is a tribute to Karen,the owner. Recommended.

I am a regular at Finkins and I am starting to get annoyed and frustrated by the poor service and lack of food. I have been a few times during and after lunch where they stop serving food due to too many orders or no food. This is ridiculous for a cafe at lunchtimes. Today I went in on a Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm to find that the kitchen stopped serving food- I only wanted a teacake! The waitress was very rude and told me to go to the supermarket to buy some! I am appalled at her attitude. The place was a mess with dirty plates and cups everywhere and there were only young girls serving who just stood about gossiping. There was no cake left at 2:30pm so I ended up having a pack of 2 biscuits for £2! Absolute daylight robbery. That's £1 a biscuit. Sorry Finkins but you really are taking the biscuit and lost me as a customer.

Friendly staff good service .But cafe really cold had to keep coat and scarf on not a enjoyable experience.Not the first time this has happened,why pay for this experience

While visiting Grantham we called in for a breakfast, the staff were friendly and welcoming. We both enjoyed our breakfasts and was a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend. And call again when we visit Grantham.

We have been regular customers at Finkins over the last three years. We have always been complimentary. Well, today we were extremely disappointed. . My husband ordered two breakfasts and drinks. The coffee was luke warm which is unusual. Well, after a half hour of waiting in a fairly empty restaurant, the food hadn’t arrived and we’d finished our drinks. On asking, they maintained our order hadn’t gone through. They went into the kitchen and came out with one breakfast. When asking where the other breakfast was, they said it wasn’t put on the original order and needed to be ordered again. My husband said it had been ordered as he had called over to our table to check the order while at the counter. The waitress insisted we had never ordered the second breakfast , which implied we were not being truthful.. By this time the first breakfast was nearly finished so we said forget it . There were at least four waitresses having a great time laughing , gossiping and chatting to each other. You would have thought that at least one of them would have thought to check, over that half hour, as to where the breakfasts were. On top of that, the toilet was bleak. You had to search to find the toilet paper

Well what an appalling experience. Visited this 'restaurant' with my son and Grandson for lunch. I was informed that it would be a 40 minute wait. No problem as I thought at least it will be fresh. Had wrong was I? When my breakfast finally arrived (no cutlery given) my sausages were rock hard. My grandsons chips were also hard and inedible. More shockingly, the gentleman on the table next to me was served a meal that wasn't his. He informed the waitess and she took his meal and placed it on the counter. Five minutes later we heard another table complain they had not received their meal and was horrified to watch the waitress walk over and pick up the discarded meal from the counter and give it to the customer! To top it off, the waitress was miserable. No smile, please or thank you. Give this place a very wide berth, it is the worst place I've ever eaten in Grantham.

Amazing food cooked from scratch so tasty, very friendly and inviting atmosphere. Been there twice in a week, food was amazing

The restaurant area was bright airy and clean - and dog friendly (which for us was great). You sit down and choose what you want and then order it at the till - thankfully I remembered all 5 breakfasts and drinks - these were all present and correct. The service was great, but the food unfortunately not. the eggs benedict - it looked nothing like it - as my mum put it 'this is something that I would produce' [my mum isn't a cook] - all of the other food was bland and tasteless. I guess the other main issue was the huge 'fresh orange juice' - omg - Finkins - don't water it down - just give people a smaller glass with unwatered real orange juice.

Very disappointed with our meal, food was very bland, vegetables cooked to death, hot pot tasteless and had no colour, everything came with chips although mash was advertised, fish was ok, children’s meal of poor quality, it didn’t all come out together, the only positive for this visit were the friendly staff

I ordered beef hotpot, when I got it , it was cold, so I told the waitress who took it back , she bought it back piping hot, but such a awful meal, it was meant to be hotpot but was more like a sloppy stew!! The veg was very bland. There were no check back especially with it being sent back in the first place. The meal was just average. I won’t be returning any time soon!!!

Family Party Getaway in Grantham stayed at a lovely hotel with my Husband and visited Finkins for a 50th Party for my Brother In Law Dave. Excellent intimate little bar and party area, food was okay a bit posh for my liking and the Sister got told so! Us Northern Lasses like a good ham sandwich not the posh stuff. All in all the place is lovely, the drinks were great and we all had an amazing time. Dave loved his Las Vegas Cake and surprise trip to Vegas in April! X

A fantastic family afternoon tea. We treated our daughter and son in law to your lovely afternoon teas, and they really enjoyed it, and will be bringing their children again

Visited today with my sister and our dogs for a leisurely lunch. It’s the third time we have been and the staff genuinely can’t do enough for you. They are incredibly welcoming (to humans and dogs!), the food is amazing and there’s a very relaxed atmosphere. Can’t wait to visit again.

Amazing Sunday lunch as always! The food is beautifully cooked and well presented....Best Yorkshire pudding I've ever had!! The staff are always friendly and cheerful, nothing is too much bother! Thank yoy Karen and team! X
