It's a spoons decent enough but the breakfast is always Luke warm 😄 in all Spoon's lol

A cut above the average Wetherspoon. Popped in for breakfast, but probably a one off visit for us due to our distance from Stamford, will definitely return though if we visit Stamford again.

Not much atmosphere, but big, not crowded, and can't fault the prices.

Disappointed with food, have eaten here before, but although burger was nice, appearance of burger on large plate with chips scattered on it was not very appealing, chips bit hard in middle, either under or over cooked.

One of the better Wetherspoons. Toilets are still 2km in the sky though.

Waited patiently in a queue to order food for ages, my friends were served and then the dude just walked off and left me and everyone behind waiting for ages, by the time I got my back to the table all my mates already had their food and the woman that realised and served for the guy, seemed really mad about it. Also for some reason the app isn't working here which is pretty inconvenient.

My daughters are currently doing Ballet classes in Stamford so used the pub twice Saturday for breakfast & afternoon snacks & refreshments. Both visits were excellent despite the pub being a hub of busyness. The service was excellent, food hot & tasty & great Spoons value as usual especially compared with prices other establishments in town. The pub was clean & welcoming & has a pleasant atmosphere, Staff were warm & friendly. Definitely would recommend & will be returning.

One of the nicer spoons, it has better staff than Corby (by a mile) and the food is usually correct most of the time.

Anna the bar waitress is amazing she had a smile and great ora about her she mad our vist absolutely fantastic and amazing I can't explain. She went up and beyond to help. Nothing was to big of a problem. Thank you so much. You deserve a pay rise x

Double standards here I’m afraid! One night it’s OK to have fun, the next night, please be quiet! Toilet cleanliness is shocking!

I tried to hydrate my friends after a long hard day of work with 10 lime cordials but I got scolded for it. My nephew Roy always has a glass of milk before his bedtime at 6am otherwise he won't sleep (he's 35) but this never arrived so he wept all night long. Then i tried ordering a bag of apples and some tomato juice for my starving child maurice and promptly got kicked out for it. Maurice has now perished.

One of the nicer Wetherspoons with an outdoor seating area and lovely views. £4 for a sausage, egg and bacon bagel and unlimited coffee, you just can't beat it

As with many Wetherspoons, the room was very large and therefore quite noisy. I prefer the Wetherspoons in Whittlesey as it's more cosy. That said - It lived up to the food and service quality one expects from this chain. I found the staff pleasant and the food very well cooked and presented..

The Stamford post is a decent Wetherspoons pub. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The interior is light and airy with a large glass roof over the main bar area. There is an excellent range of beers, lagers, and cider at very cheap prices. There are some excellent hand pulled cask conditioned real ales. The ones we sampled were in excellent condition when we visited. The food and service is as good as any Wetherspoons I have been to. There is an outside seating area at the front of the pub.

Visiting the Stamford Post this afternoon,was really Good. Great beer, Good Food, really Lovely and Welcoming to the Patron. Bar Staff were Excellent. What a Great place to have a meal and a relaxing pint as you relax enjoy the Ambience and Atmospere if the Establishment. I Highly recommend this Lovely pub and Restuarant. Come and try it for yourself. Jonathan Bowles a regular patron.

My Partner and I went shopping in Stamford yesterday and we went into The Stamford Post, Sheep Street, The food was good it was clean & tidy and the staff were polite & friendly, We will go back here again

I was in wetherspoons and i saw staff members being rude to a customer after they ordered a vegetarian brunch, but was delivered a meat one instead. The customer said that she had been a vegetarian for her whole life, and explained that she would never have ordered a meat one, the staff said that she never ordered it and refused to change her meal. They were then very rude to her and called the police on her so she was removed and they took the money for the food which was never eaten, which made the poor customer go without a meal. I will NEVER be going back here again, staff are awful and rude to the customers!

Absolutely appalling experience at this pub. I was in having coffee with my partner, and there was an issue with a lady opposite us, she’d been delivered a full English breakfast (meat version) and politely told her waitress that she had ordered the veggie version. The waitress said she’d ask the girl on the bar who served her if she did or not in a really rude manner. She came back a few minutes later and told the lady she didn’t order the veggie version and absolutely would not change it without her paying for a new breakfast (even though the lady said a few times she was vegetarian for many years and would never select a meat option) she still said no. There was a very large scene that escalated from this, customers were shocked at what was happening and couldn’t believe the way the two staff members were treating the customer and her elderly companion. Absolutely will not return, was the worst ‘spoons’ I’ve ever visited.

Lacking atmosphere both times we visited, quick drink one evening & for breakfast. Staff were very good. Breakfast was standard fare

Atmosphere good, food not so good this is the second time I have not been happy with the food, so last time I will be eating here. Ordered tuna cheese melt panini and chips, chips were nearly cold and panini wasn't much better. Staff were nice though.

Nice English breakfast with a range of options, and unlimited hot drinks. Night atmosphere as well—it is the old newspaper office refurbished and has great vibe to it.

Excellent even though really busy service was quick and with a smile, food was really tasty grandson wanted another burger 😋

We were in a group of mates having a day out in Stamford. Went into the Spoons & enjoyed the drinks. Noticed the decor....saw the unpainted area & wondered why it just had not been finished off... it'd take 3 more strokes. C'mon Spoons, get it painted!

Worst meal I've had in my life. Ordered a mixed grill and just took the chips and mushroom. The rest you could not even cut.

Popped in for a quick pre-gig pint after getting off the train. Found it a pretty spacious building with a smaller outdoor area at the front. I didn't eat this time but might in the future?

Nice airy spoons with cheap beer and outdoor seating. There are nicer pubs in Stamford that deserve your traffic more but this is good for a spoons.

Another cold breakfast today. Two cold, one warm at best. As soon as the staff put it down they vanish. This is not the first time, you can do better than this Witherspoons.

It was OK shame staff were rude, called in about 8.15 with my 23 year old Grandaughter I asked the staff if food was still being served they said yes, sat down ordered 3 non alcoholic drinks only for the bar person to ask my Grandaughter for ID I laughed at her and said she is 13 and on Pepsi next thing was she needs to be out by 9pm shame the first staff member did not say when we walked in the door because we would not have stayed, not very busy and food not arrived by 8.45pm so max dash to eat...

Small as spoons going but good, quick and friendly service as to be expected.

A nice pub, we arrived a little late with a under 16,we spoke to two lots of staff as we walked in,. We ordered our food and drinks, when they brought the drinks over they said you have to be out by 2100,what gave us 30 mins to get our food that we were waiting for and eat. If they had said something as we walked in we would of gone to McDonald's.

A very nice witherspoon nice and friendly staff

It really bothers me in these places, both in Twickenham in Huntlow and here, that for coffee refills they only serve a big bucket that is for tea, because there is no other name for such a cup and you can't drink it and enjoy it, because they really have good coffee in an espresso cup.

We've been in quite a few of the weatherspoons,around the country,really good service, atmosphere,food great value for money,would highly recommend to give it a try😍👍

Once again within 7 days it was another "Spoons" visit..A nice hot snack with a hot drink at sensible prices..Staff were polite and customer aware..Great venue clean and comfortable in a central location at Stamford..Thanks

Good wetherspoons with a quiz in a Tuesday evening.

Just had breakfast. Food was not good, hash browns were overcooked, everything else on plate was cold only thing hot was the black pudding on the Large breakfast my husband had. Not impressed

Had a lovely time with family. Breakfast is good value.

Felt like sitting in a old people's home. Clueless staff. Food was burning in the kitchen.

I have been sat in this pub for the last hour, the tables are full of pots and glasses , customers are having to clear their own tables in order to sit down, whilst staff walk around ignoring the tables, not even clearing up after delivering food. I think they need retraining.

Partners steak was rare but had ordered medium. Had to eat my (below par) beef madras while she waited for another not so great steak (chewey).

Food and service were good as always in a Wetherspoons, but we were seated right next to a very loud pub quiz which was a bit disruptive.

I love a spoons like everyone else but what a experience. We went on Saturday night and we're greeted at the bar by a very skinny fellow that I could only describe as a stick insect, I believe he had lucky legs as I was surprised they were holding him up. He wore a very bright red jazzy shirt and had a tooth for every skill he had (none) I was worried about him pulling my pint and he didn’t look capable of pulling the door on the way in. I understand spoons is probably a big deal for him as he has probably reached his peak in life but being aggressive to customers is no way to be! he was a very rude 26 year old, I know his age because he repeatedly told me for no apparent reason? The “shift manager” didn't look capable of spelling manager or even his own name… he was also very rude and un tidy. He was very hairy and sweaty (if you are struggling to picture him think of hagrid from Harry Potter) The poor man couldn’t even keep his primark shirt tucked in. I have been in many many spoons in my life and this one is by far the worst! Kind regards XxXx

First visit, very busy this time of year with lots of work party's, good atmosphere and great service for food and drink. A nice big pub space.

Great food, even better prices and cheap pints

Situated in the very attractive town of Stamford, this 'spoons' echos the town by occupying an interesting ex local newspaper building. The interior of 'The Post' has interesting artifacts of its past history. Typical for 'spoons' there is vast range of drinks and food menu and a huge bar. We visited for lunch on a weekday, but had no problem finding a table inside and were served quickly under covid restrictions, there is an outside seating area to the front. We have visited many 'spoons' on our travels and this one is no different in that the staff were energetic, polite, helpful, friendly and eager to please. If you do visit, be warned that the parking situation in and around the town is dire!

Very busy. But that tells u one thing. Its good so we took a table and ordered food and a hot drink from the app. All came out inn good time, tasted lovely and great value for money and hot drinks are free refills. 100% recommended even if your willing to wait for a seat. Its worth the wait. Hence why so busy. Full 5* & 10/10 😎👌

Must admit we were disappointed with the meal tonight. We chose the Christmas dinner and the turkey was turned up at the edges, the mash was a minute portion which was lumpy and dry and I got 3 carrots and one small square of parsnip. We sat down at just before 7 on a Sunday evening, so perhaps we got the 'last knockings'. Usually, the service is fast and the food quality is quite good. I'd recommend not expecting what you see on the promo picture! The kids meals were fine, though.

Terrible service, food took over thirty minutes, arrived cold (all three dishes) and the “toast” was just slightly stale bread! Complained but clearly staff not bothered. Staff were just stood around doing nothing, we watched one order just getting cold on the service window, for over 20 minutes. Actually only thing that arrived warm was the child’s plate. Scorching hot plate on a child’s food!

All was good but the fish was soggy, maybe it had been frozen or something, usually spoons are fantastic, I won't let it put me off 😊😎

Drinks before a meal elsewhere can't fault this place for drinks and atmosphere.

The staff are great, enough space so you don't have to listen to stupid conversations. Food is mediocre but you pay for what you get. Vast inside seating with ample outdoor seating. They lock the disabled toilets to stop the lazy gits from using it (1) as main toilets are upstairs, if you need a pee then you need to head to the bar first to ask the staff to unlock the toilet for you. Full on humiliation awaits you. Parking nearby (free and paid) but uphill to the pub. Scraping 3🌟's

I had chicken tikka masala, always excellent, but this time it tasted awful with not much chicken ,must be cutting costs

Certainly a better Weathersoons than most of them. Great selection of local ales and great prices. Let down by the diirty tables and bar. Food is really hit and miss which is a real shame, I suppose you get what you pay for.

The food was very disappointing, I sent back the chips with curry sauce as they were cold and the were returned after being pinged in the microwave 🤦🏽‍♀️ The margarita pizza was made on a tortilla wrap and was no not warm enough for the cheese to melt properly. I spoke to the Manager who replaced the chips and pizza but I felt uncomfortable complaining. We often eat in Kettering and the food is so much better.

Been in today and my husband ordered on the app, which is something I don't like doing. Anyway, the order went through with ease. The lady brought our drinks over within 5 minutes, I couldn't believe it. Then we had an absolutely lovely lady bringing our food over. It was her first day being a waitress. Well she could have fooled me!! Polite and considerate, was taking the time to talk to customers as she brought the food over. Best customer service we have had, in a very long time. I'm sure her name was Sharon. We will be back!!!!

We were having problems with the wetherspoons app. One of the staff went out of her way to help and even came back to check everything had gone OK.

This is a lovely pub with great prices and a good range of food and drinks. The atmosphere is good and there is a nice outdoor seating area. The staff are very helpful and attentive.

Very poor. Extremely slow service. Every part of our food order was wrong. Nearly an hour between first of our group of 6 served and the last.

30/9/23 Quick visit sat evening while traveling east. Found that unit was under staffed and that the remaining 6 were doing a great job but clearly at boiling point stress wise. Orders were getting mixed and dessert arrived before mains. Food service counter is right in the entrance with cold chilli blowing straight onto food waiting to be taken to the table. Rather un fair on both the kitchen team and customers receiving Luke warm food.
