I dropped in for 2 Blueberry Bubble teas - currently my favorite drink. I returned them twice - first time there was no ice - so they took them back and threw 2 lumps in. I then said that they still looked incorrect and weak with no bubbles. The manager proceeded to take the top off my cup and spoon out show to show me! I went home and emptied out the weak undrinkable tea to see how many bubbles were actually in one of the cups - 20. Tasteless, undrinkable waste of over £8.00. Dreadful customer service. I have frequented Costa for years but probably wont bother again. And yes, I have put in a formal complaint to Costa....

Poor customer service, staff disinterested in customers and happier chatting to each other. Tables dirty. Air conditioning too high on a cold day, it was freezing. Coffee was cold, had to ask for it to be remade. No longer accept Blue Light Card, so will be visiting Starbucks from now on, where they do. Used to be good but unfortunately no longer. Pity.

Exactly what you'd expect from a Costa, great drinks, great food and great service. Big seating area inside and out. Toilets clean and tidy. They had a cup washing up station for refilling

If I could give 0 as a rating I would! Employed as supervisor for less than 2 weeks and sacked due to a medical condition I have, will not accommodate you at all. Spoke in confidence and that’s what I got in return. Management very unprofessional! State will contact you but in fact will just block your number. Would no recommend working at this store as they don’t correctly train you and treat you like a slave.

I sat in the cafe and I was so cold to the point of distraction, even though I had my hat and scarf on. I am not sure who has agreed for the temperature to be set at that level. However, it is a total contrast to my previous experience of being able to sit in a warmer Costa coffee in the past and work, if i choose. Last year, 2023, my husband and I tried to work in the Bourne cafe but the cold temperature led to my husband catching a chill. I am now looking for a warmer place to sit to have my coffee, as unless things change in regards to upping the temperature. this cafe is no longer suitable for a cosy relaxing atmosphere.

While the food it's self is fine, standard across costa, every single time i have ordered on uber eats from this place they have gotten something wrong. The first time i ordered a sausage roll and they instead gave me a sausage bap. The second time I didnt even get my order and had to fight support for an hour to get a refund. This most recent time my drink was placed in the bag almost sideways and nearly spilled while also missing two out of four of the items i ordered.

First visit to a Costa and unfortunately this branch was out of stock of numerous items my self and family wanted to purchase, no standard white sugar no sprinkles or Marsh mallows for hot chocolate etc.

I like this place, but wish their sandwiches were better. They really need more filling. My tuna melt hardly had any tuna in it (mostly cheese) and my husband's ham and cheese only had one thin slice of ham (with too much cheese) in it. These sandwiches need improvement. Good location and efficient staff... very busy.

Costa Bourne is so much better now. They seem to have sorted out their opening hours and are no longer closing when they feel like it. Staff are helpful and friendly.

I know it's not supposed to be quality, but blimey the Mocha here is so bitter and burned the aftertaste will haunt you for days.

Marginally quicker service than an M and S cafe, so in other words....SLOW. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Staff a but stingy got a mango Berry bubble tea and it tastes like weak squash and didn't give a proper boba straw. Do NOT recommend.

I admit, the wife and I are not the biggest fans of Costa, and will usually support the local independent coffee shops first, but this store is pretty much on our doorstep and having recently moved from the dark, dingy, and run down store into this nice bright new store we thought we'd give it a go. We were served quickly and the coffee was good, used our own cups thus getting double reward stamps, so that's a good incentive to not use the disposable cups, service was good with polite staff. Only issue that resulted in a lost star here, was a good few vacant tables still had the previous customers cups left behind and the staff seemed too busy to clear them... Other than that it's a nice place to sit and have a drink.

Impossibly slow. Made a click and collect order- wasn’t ready and after 5 mins it was cancelled. Therefore Costa app pointless. Staff close to retirement in efficiency

Just opened new Costa shop larger than the old one. Good service and coffee

No! It doesn't close in 30 minutes. It closed AN HOUR EARLY half an hour ago. I checked their website which stated 5pm today. Later times printed on the door of the new store! Do they want any customers? This happened a couple of months ago too, at their old store down the street! There was a young woman behind the counter today so I knocked on the door. She looked round and yelled "We're closed', which I did kind of gathered from the locked door. I have tried contacting Costa before and they make it pretty impossible. I don't get out much and made a special effort to go to Costa today. I am very disappointed and wonder how to find out what their opening hours actually are.

Went into Costa at Bourne, in a bit of a state needs a revamp, wallpaper peeling off walls,generally tired looking everywhere, very dark needs better lighting, cutlery stained, no toasties left, coffee was good though, seemed to be understaffed

Friendly efficient staff...but my iced tea was flavourless and disappointing.

I was never a huge fan of costa as the coffee is always dissapointing and the price doesnt match the quality. I much preffer other coffee chains. But the other day I thiught this is certainly the last time I'm coming in. I came in with my dog and waited to next to the door to ask if dogs were allowed and was extremely dissapointed by the greeting we got. To not even be able to get a takeaway coffee because I had my dog? What is your problem with dogs Costa? You will be missing out on a lot of customers because of this.

I would like to congratulate all the staff in Bourne Costas. They all do a wonderful job every day. They are always polite even first thing in the morning. They bring my tea on the tray to my favourite seat every morning Which I really appreciate. Also they have helped me with my mobile phone on many occasions, as I am not very IT literate. It must be my age I think. The atmosphere is always friendly and I often meet my friends there. also I often chat to new people there. They have many regular customers. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to go there and see for themselves. They have also let me place my business card on their notice board. I am a qualified English Teacher and live on The Elsea Park Estate. If anyone is interested in having some 1-1 or small group English tuition please see my details on the Business card. Not a bad coffee place, staff are friendly but abit slow. Available of food rarely matches with there board outside. Overall it’s decent coffee with fairly large seating area.

I had the Caramel Energiser Decaff Latte with Oatmilk and it was very welcome on such a cold day.

Really good place to go for a coffee and cake. I go after school with my friends and we have a great time. Drinks and food here taste very nice and the service is warm and excellent. Definite recommend!

Was talking to staff and they said they barely get their rotas even one week in advance, staff need to be valued more by management. :(

Don’t be fooled by the “warm welcome for everyone” sticker with the picture of a dog next to it - you certainly won’t be greeted with a warm welcome if you dare to bring a small dog, not even for takeaway purchases. Tad misleading.

I reviewed the Stamford store a while ago and now avoid going there... My first Bourne visit. Staff were friendly, had all the covid necessities in place and my drink was perfect! All good.

If this is the Bourne place, or is alright. The 2 girls were quite nice, Wednesday afternoon shift. May 19.

Me and a friend waited 40 minutes in line. One barista, a trainee. Would have expected staff helping a trainee. Slow service for four girls in front of us. Not bad pricing but if you’re on the go do not recommend.

Slow service, didn't know how to make a cortado. Understaffing and lack of fully trained workers is an issue here.

Service is ok but the place needs a spring clean. Even the trays are dirty and the floor has a tear in it which is a trip hazard. Time for a make over.

Not sure what's gone wrong here used to be a lovely clean friendly place cosy atmosphere but not anymore staff too busy chatting to serve you tables are cluttered with dirty trays full of dirty cups it looks tired and grubby not what's expected from a major chain like Costa

No papers, long queue, staff disorganised and did not know how to use the whipped cream dispenser, coffee served in take away cups to save washing up as dishwasher out of order - seriously!

No noisy school children having breakfast.

Good for that first drink and bite to eat... I would have given more star's but the service was a tad slow ( one member of staff) not asked which milk... Not given a knife... iced Caramel latte tasted like nuts... For someone who has this 3 day's a week minimum you notice... No time to change as slotted time allowed to get things and go.. will go back and give chance to rectify

Everything is fantastic except the priced are high.

Been in many Costas around the country (and even one in Malta). What can I say, I like Costa Coffee. this one's better than most with pleasant staff, mostly comfy seats and usually clean & tidy. I keep coming back so it can't be all that bad.

This Costa coffee needs a bit more training of staff as it wasn't busy when we went in but many of the tables were cluttered with dirty cups and soft chairs still had food bits on them.Staff too busy talking among themselves. Pretty pricy for the quality of coffee too.

My friends and I would not normally leave a review for a cup of tea, but we felt we had to on account of the excellent welcoming staff in Bourne costa! Jamie really does go above and beyond and is very enthusiastic about the drinks he is making. We popped in at the end of what I imagine was a long day for the staff and we were still made to feel extremely welcomed as well as being met by beaming smiles! This really does make all the difference, so much so we will return today instead of trying some of the other coffee shops Bourne has to offer.

Coffee went downhill at Christmas time but seems back on track now. Staff happy to help but tables often left uncleared & the sofas are in a sorry state & desperately need replacing. However, it’s a relaxed place to linger with decent coffee (the cortado coffee is strong & tasty). The food often looks dire but does taste good. The sausage breadcake & toasted cheese & mushroom sandwich are just right when one doesn’t fancy anything too sweet mid morning. The staff try their best when it gets busy & we’ve always managed to find a seat. People are accommodating if you need to share a table.

I always find the Costa in Bourne to be a pleasant place to go. Even when busy I can usually find a seat and the staff have always been polite and welcoming.

Nice branch of Costas here, does exactly what it says in the ads and with a smile, had an alleged Costa coffee in the marstons pub in Bourne earlier in the day that was literally undrinkable, we'll only use Costa branches from now on.

Food and drinks are always great only problem Is it can be a bit expensive.

Good clean environment with very friendly staff. When you need to take a break before or after shopping or simply to enjoy a hot or cold drink with your favourite food,this is the place to go. Thank you

This is a nice size store and the seating is ample with friendly, helpful staff. They have a nice range of drinks with a well stocked list of food. Also, staff are more than willing to go the extra mile by taking trays of drinks over for the elderly, mothers with pushchairs and small groups when it’s quiet. However: I worked here for a week and rang the area manager to hand in my immediate notice. I am not a disgruntled employee but the public has a right to know. Milk is reheated and topped up when needed whereas official Costa guidelines state that milk jugs should be emptied after each use. Non-dairy jugs are kept alongside milk jugs and separate steam arms are not used which is a serious cause of concern for contamination as those with lactose allergies are out at risk. They are also extending the life of cakes that are meant to be binned for the sake of they could sell a couple more or out of laziness. It’s a shame I’ve had to leave this review because I love both working for costa and drinking there as normally, you know what you’re going to be getting but I will be supporting local coffee shops and cafes until these hygiene and food safety issues are addressed.

One of the better Costa stores in terms of cleanliness. Staff always pleasant & rarely have to wait for service (unlike some stores where staff are too busy CHATTING)

Bitter coffee and not dog friendly

Typical Costa shop in a strategically good position near to the main cross roads of the market town. The food available is the standard Costa menu. Cafe was clean, tidy and well maintained. The plus was the excellent attitude of the staff- welcoming, polite and helpful. Thank you.

Never give enough milk with a pot of tea

You know what you are going to get at a Costa. Tea, coffee, cakes, sandwiches etc all good. Tables and chair are a bit cramped as the cafe is small.

The outside was heavily concealed by scaffolding so you would easily miss it. Inside is small but very well maintained. For the size it is surprisingly open and doesn’t feel crowded. There are a selection of seating options from the usual tables and chairs, to some more comfy armchair style seats which is a nice touch if you just want to chill with a paper or book (if people still do that). The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They served our drinks and snacks to our table as they were quite busy and didn’t want us to hang around the till area. This was a sign of staff knowing that the place isn’t big enough for people to loiter so clear the high traffic areas and offer extra customer service (A+). Overall Clean, inviting with great customer service! Would I recommend… YES! This place is great for relaxing with friends or entertaining a family. The toilets are clean and well-kept which is important when you have small children.
