this lady elaine at customer services decided to shut customer services early and refused to open for staff until higher employees got involved, was rude the entire time to us as customers but also the staff. if you expect to go to customer services just before 8pm when elaine is working dont even bother.

As if it's not bad enough there are no checkouts with staff manning the till after 9pm you have to put up with miserable female staff members talking to you like you are a total annoyance to them at the self service. Ru is the only staff member that is happy to help the rest need to take a leaf out of his book.

Stopped there yesterday, (29/04/24), en route home, so not my usual Asda. First plus was scan & go let me log in & collect a scanner, I wasn’t sure it would as it’s not my usual Asda. Store layout was different so I spent time looking for items I could find immediately at home, not the fault of the store so no demerit for that. Did my shopping, then headed to the scan & go checkout. First demerit, the man on the adjoining checkout was having trouble with the till, staff assisted but he ended up having to go to a manned till & unpack & rescan everything. My till seemed ok, unsurprisingly I was selected for a check, no problem there. Staff attended & carried out the check & then the fun started. The till software kept looping & the staff member had to keep logging back in to try again. Two different staff members tried to get it to work but I also ended up at a manual checkout where a member of staff scanned all of my shopping again before I could finish & pay. This added about 15 minutes to my checkout time. Thankfully the weather was nice as my disabled husband had taken himself and his walker out to the car park to wait by the car. I was impressed by the staff, no fault there, they did their best. The scan & go tills, not impressive, I’d have been better using a manned till and if I use this store again that’s exactly what I’ll do.

So we bought the Stacey Solomon bed quilt. Got it home washed it, ironed it only to find that putting the pillow case on it wasn’t stitched fully. So I’ve ad to sow it myself. I would have took it back if I would have checked it before I had washed and ironed it. Although you shouldn’t have to but EVERYONE CHECK BEFORE. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Clearly it ad not been quality checked before going on to be sold.

Dirty store in need of a good deep clean. George clothing department is a mess and unorganised. Have purchased items that are on offer and the offer hasn’t been applied at checkout so check your receipt! The store is hugely low on staff. Never baskets at the doors. Hardly ever a member of staff available at the self service checkout and if there is they are running around under pressure to assist everyone

The Cafe breakfast is the worst I have had. Really cheap sausage, & beans. The eggs are over cooked and arrived broken on the plate. No toast or bread and butter offered. I forgot to mention that the price was £6.50. Shocking.

Disappointed at the poor customer service received today. I was using the self checkout, but the coupon I was using for my newspaper wasn’t being accepted. The lady looking after the checkouts (by herself) didn’t seem interested in helping me, and when eventually she did help all she could do was tell me off because “ customers can’t use coupons like that on self checkout tills”, This does seem strange as I regularly use the coupons at Tesco self service checkouts. Not impressed with waiting for help, and definitely not impressed with her stroppy attitude

This was the worst cup of tea I had ever tasted and my wife thought the same. We had to wait in a que for 15 mins before being served. We were refused a normal cup when drinking in and instead had to drink out of a paper cup. The kids drinks didn't come with a cup either even though telling them that we needed something as they were too big for our toddlers. When sitting down the table was dirty from the previous customer and we had to talk over the self check outs which were 3 paces the other side of our table. Very unenjoyable experience. It was fully wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair parking and wheelchair toilets. Although the qué was not friendly for wheelchair users as you would struggle it fit down the gap.

This is one of the best retail stores I have visited so far. It is very large and contains a wide array of items. In terms of the environment, the store is clean, well-maintained, and pleasing to look at. Almost everything can be found here - from fresh groceries to clothes, home accessories, drinks, ice cream, gadgets, baked goods, toiletries, etc... the list is endless, really. Prices are reasonable and there are many checkout points - for self-checkout, or otherwise. It really makes for a good shopping experience.

I am absolutely shocked with the produce and kicking myself for not checking the dates before buying. From last week's shop on Wednesday 20th of September, we have had off fish, broken packaging on sausages and mince which has caused the meat to go off. Today my husband got the beef out to roast and it had gone off with the date being the 15th!!! He has just looked in the fridge and the Kafir went out of date on the 12th! What on earth were these products doing on the shelves on the 20th? I will be contacting Asda but unfortunately have no receipt but do have my bank statement. Will not be going back.

I visited the opticians in the store a few weeks ago to order some new glasses. I was greeted with a warm welcome from Emma. She was very helpful and helped me select two new frames, one with reactions lenses and the other with sunglasses lenses. When I was contacted to come and collect them two weeks later, Emma noticed a problem with the arms on the frame of my sunglasses. She apologised and promptly ordered a replacement. Unfortunately I was due to go on holiday for three weeks. Not a problem Emma said, they will be here when you get back. While I was on holiday, I received a text message from Emma to confirm the replacement frame is there and I can arrange to collect it when I get back home. I would like to put a big shout out for Emma. She really went above and beyond. She is a credit to your company.

This shop just get worse and worse by the day i have a holiday tomorrow and i went to get my euros and i was advised to get a card instead of the notes so i decided to listen to the employee, i go and log in when i get home and it says my access is denied? i try this a few times and it does not work so i decided to go back to asda and tell the lady that the details she put in for me is not matching up and she is very rude to me and turns her back on me to talk to the manger and then comes back with sorry i can’t do anything for u our system is down. When i get home i found out she typed my details in wrong and spelt my name wrong even though i spelled it out to her so turns out the system wasn’t down and she just lied straight to my face and used a cover up story. i am frustrated that i was lied to and not helped at all very poor staff and not happy at all.

They sell already worn clothes which is disgusting for an example a bra as we tried to return a bra that snapped but we need the full set we brought even the worn bra and as we asked they openly admitted to selling worn bra's in the quote of "we can wash and re sell the bra set" which is disgusting Update: it was resolved with this lovely guy who helped us but what is shocking is how we were treated by the service lady to return the bra and her manager as they were fully rude to us

This shop gets worse. It was bad enough that I had a check but then I was told I had to have a complete check. I understand that some people see using the guns is a challenge to steal but I am not a bloody thief. I felt so embarrassed. Trust me if it happens again I am walking. I ordered a chocolate birthday cake along with a few other items from asda grantham through Uber Eats. The cake was put into a bag on its side and it slid and damaged the cake. Phoned asda and she didn't want to know. I was trying to let her know that it should have been kept flat. She just kept going on about getting refund from Uber Eats. I didn't ever mention a refund. I gave up and put the phone down.

I went into asda Grantham cafe today as needed some bits and thought I'd get the kids dinner while there. We entered the cafe around 4.30ish and there was another family on one table and a guy on another.The rest of the tables were empty so pick of the cafe, excellent! However it wasn't like that as the remaining tables were covered in food and rubbish! I had to clear rubbish from one table and wipe it using my wet wipes so we could sit at a clean table. There was no highchairs available which for me is a massive need as I have a 23 month old who's additional needs and a runaway, so dinner time was a nightmare for trying to keep her sat down to eat her dinner. The children's all day breakfast was unavailable, which is the only thing from the menu my youngest can have due to allergies so she ended up with chips and beans, however the chips were already cooked and sat in the basket of the fryer over a hot lamp already looking hard and unappetising. These were reheated and served to us, my middle child didn't eat hers and my youngest picked at her food rather than sitting to eat. Another 2 ladies walked in and commented on the state of the place to which I informed them I had been there around half hour or so and it was like it when I walked in. I came in to this cafe a couple months back and it was like this then and it's the same possibly worst this time round. If it wasn't for needing to feed my youngest I'd have waited and just gone home but having made it clear we was getting food I had to follow it up for her understanding. I didn't pay much was only £12 for 2 pizza deals, kids nuggets and a child's chips and beans but it's the fact it was so dirty! The member of staff was on her own trying to do everything and she didn't have enough time to serve, clean, fill up the drinks machine and cook food. It's ridiculous. This pictures are the ones I got from where I sat as I didn't want people thinking I was photographing them.

Stopped in to use the cafe on a long distance drive - found that their pizza is very good, but I'm afraid everything else was pretty poor. eg chicken burgers very dry, on dried up rolls, no sauces available except vinegar. Disappointed, as other Asda cafes are pretty good.

The floor was being washed using old dirty water, the smell was disgusting, also all the tills where closed and when I asked why the lady said that they don't open them until 10am because the manager doesn't want them sitting around doing nothing, I've never seen them sitting around doing nothing, they work very hard but it seems management want them flat out all the time without a break, they open the self service up when the store opens but not the tills until 10, typical slave driving management, I have respect for the staff but they are pushed to the limit all the time, shame on Asda for letting this happen.

Just been to Asda Grantham to buy some logs, there was non left outside thought I would go in & check to see if they had any in the store, a young lad was stacking baskets so I asked him if they had any his response was. Is there any outside I said no so I asked if he would mind checking if they had anymore his reply was sorry mate ask one of my colleagues as that’s not my department. Asda in Grantham are exceptional I have used Lincoln Boston and Asda's in Grantham and they are the better one the other two are very unorganised, nothing is labelled properly ive filled a trolley up and given up half way round because I can't handle disorganised places Grantham have always been clean, staff are friendly lovely set up. Welldone Grantham Asda's you should be given a reward for the upkeep of your store

I am absolutely disgusted.. Tonight you would not deliver our items and your driver refused the delivery as we live in an apartment block, they would not deliver any items and come up in the lift... The driver was rude and unhelpful without even considering to open the front door and come into the apartment block... ASDA this is the first time from any supermarket this is ever happened and it's disgusting... Your staff should be severely reprimanded over this... I personally will never be shopping with you again and to make it worse we have a number of disabled people that live in our apartments and would be completely unable to help with the shopping to their front door... You as a company should feel embarrassed, disgraced, disrespectful and disloyal to your customers... I will make sure everyone I know hears about this... But this is my start, now know my wrath... Hi Tasha, my order number was 4772238001294. Your driver even added it as delivered and to make it worse it took two calls today with your call centre to get my money back. 🤬

A lot of fresh foods will not reach their sell by date, especially the potatoes and salad items. Pre packed ham only lasting one day after opening with two weeks to go to expiry date! These have been regular experiences. Mens clothing reduced by about half, with minimal choices. Many times they have no stock of everday food items. Staff appear to spend most of their time chatting amongst themselves. Seriously lost faith in this supermarket, most shopping now done in Aldi!

After accidentally walking in front of a “first aider” I got a box of walkers crisps launched at me by Jenny. They hit the back of my legs. I thought this was very rude and told my close friend shanel. She reported it to the closest staff member Anne who knew exactly who we were talking about and help x us resolve the issue as soon as possible. She knew who it was as soon as we mentioned the interaction. I am glad that the Asda staff took action however I would like further action or training for the first aider who physically harmed me

We use the "Scan & Go" way of shopping for the obvious reasons, however when a, what they call a "Quality-Check" but really it's a Honesty-Check is carried out on what you're put in the shopping trolley, I understand that, BUT after paying for our shopping I looked specifically at the Multibuy section of the receipt to make sure I'd received the discounts from the offers, only to find Asda had not applied £1.80 discount from a Pink Soda Multibuy offer ( £4.90 each or X2 for £8.00 ) I approached a staff member at the Scan & Go area and explained the issue and I was advised "you'll have to go to the customer service desk next to the cigarette kiosk" so I joined queue and waited patiently after a while I explained again to staff member and she carried out the refund, Firstly this isn't good customer service experience, secondly the time wasted defeats the object of Scan & Go, finally the irony of it is ASDA carried out Honesty Check on me and it turns out I carried out a Honesty Check on Asda I found them to be dishonest, and all I got was a "Sorry about that" .

Went into Grantham asda store to buy my self a PS4 controller. I asked around two people help me they said go to the check out as they’ve got a key to the cage. So I went l. There was one staff at check out totally ignored me completely. When I was asking him a question that was rude. There was one other staff helped me bless him he tried to get in the cage. Eventually he got in. So I went to the tabbaco counter. And my hands where full so I put the controller in my bag. Less to carry. At that time I got a phone call. So I couldn’t get it back out and the security guard thought I was shop lifting. Then get followed by two staff. I took the controller out. And paid it. It’s happened numerous of times and I suffer from autism I tend to forget for a second and I get nervous when staff follow me

17.30 on a Saturday night at Asda Grantham. There must have been at least 20 people waiting in line as there were only two tills open . I have been shopping in this store for many years and have noticed there has been a vast decline in the stock available,with many empty shelves! The customer experience is far below the standard required.

So proud of these two youngsters for stopping and helping the distraught mother when others were just driving by her. Not impressed Asda staff have made out they were in control of everything, our daughter even had to send them a picture from her phone to show the actions that had been taken. Well done to a very young couple so proud of you both for your compassion to this mother.

Just had the worst experience ever, talk about No customer service. I queued for a till 2 people in front of me. When the couple in front had had there shopping scanned in, the till went down. After a while the cashier advised me I'd need to go to another till. So I reloaded my trolley & joined another till, queuing behind 3 customers now. The couple at the previous till where moved to another till. The cashier then proceeded to continue serving, several people went through. I wasn't helped at all & when I said to the cashier when I eventually got there that I was annoyed, all she said was that it can't be helped if a till goes down. I was queuing for over 40 mins all together with no help to get me through the till or to move my things. No apology what so ever. Even thinking of not going there again.I had worked at an Asda years before & we wouldn't have treated a customer so badly. Very upset & very stressful day.

Well it seems that the BMA is calling for the continued use of face masks in enclosed public spaces such a shops, even after the potential easing of restrictions on 19 July. Perhaps someone should tell staff and customers in this branch of Asda. Although I’ve had both vaccine shots, since I’m considered clinically extremely vulnerable, my (very) occasional shopping trips have been restricted to visits during the last hour before midnight closing of the store in order to minimise contact with others. On my last visit with staff busily restocking, there were relatively few customers and reasonable levels of product on the shelves and I was able to pick up everything on my list. The down side? On the day that over 27,000 new cases of Covid 19 were recorded in the UK, of the few customers in the store, most were either maskless or were wearing them as fashion accessories, ie as chinstraps or dangling from one ear, so presumably not claiming exemption. Looking at their age range, I suspect that many have not yet had the second jab-maybe not even the first. If only the staff had set an example, but no, many were as guilty as the customers, maskless, chinstraps or just covering the mouth. The powers that be could have had a field day collecting £200 fines. If the store manager won’t take responsibility, It is to be hoped that the new owners of ASDA, the Issa brothers, take a little more notice of the failure by staff and customers to comply with regulations. In the meantime I’ll stick to getting my groceries delivered.

Visited earlier today - dirty tables and we were one of the first customers in, so obviously not cleaned from the previous day - Manager was her usual friendly self (not) the air con was blasting on full making it feel like winter not a pleasant summer morning - I was tempted to ask for a cloth to wipe the table, but they say never upset anyone serving you food ! Plenty of other choices in Stamford - no wonder they were empty

Slow service and when I asked for a small jug of milk for my wife to enjoy her tea, as apposed to the UHT small cartons, the women behind the till rolled her eyes, scowled and then took about 10 minutes to bring the milk, at which point she thrust it down on the side without saying a word. Avoid like the plague!!!

Very misleading! Huge signs outside saying dogs “always” welcome. Well it seems not If it’s raining, the bar person claims dogs are not welcome if it’s raining. It is a shame the bar man was so rude considering we had previously enjoyed a nice visit here.
