Morrisons in South Kesteven

Slow service and when I asked for a small jug of milk for my wife to enjoy her tea, as apposed to the UHT small cartons, the women behind the till rolled her eyes, scowled and then took about 10 minutes to bring the milk, at which point she thrust it down on the side without saying a word. Avoid like the plague!!!

Thought we would have some lunch. My husband wanted fish chips but they didn't not have any fish so decided on full English breakfast. And I had sausage and chips,when it arrived it was very over cooked had trouble cutting up the sausage because it was very hard the beans were cold the plate looked awful. No black pudding with it that should have been and the icing on the cake was fried bread was the crust .you never have the crust .very oily. The worst lunch anywhere. Never going back.shame the Peterborough one is spot on.

After using the store and freezing ourselves inside, we fancied a hot coffee, but the machine was out of action. We then thought we could get coffees from the cafe to take away. We used the touch screen to order two coffees. No receipt was available. Queued up for coffee and lo and behold one of the two machines were out of action! Yes, you've guessed it, the other one also packed up. Oldish couple had reported it, but no one had attended. It was an absolute shambles as the queue got bigger. So, we decided to have two teas instead. That was a chore in itself. Back and forward finding the t bags, milk, etc. We were glad to get out of there. That's two Morrisons cafes we have used in the previous few months, and both were awful experiences.

This cafe is terrible. I had to sift through six cups before I found one without a scum line from previous users. The same with the cutlery. Five dirty knife and forks before finding a clean set. The staff were friendly. The only positive part of the experience

we are hear today and we are having a meal hear in this very CONVID-19 well set out place first you have to fill a form in name ect then wait to be to be shown to your table after sanitizing your hands the tables are screened off and the menu is not as big as it used to be but still a good choice of meals also the staff we my support worker and i find are very good

We called in for a quick lunch. All of the food was fine and very good value. The tables looked clean enough and the staff were helpful.

Have eaten here on many occasions. Food is OK. Tables can be dirty & sticky and trays left on the tables.

ok i wanted to go to Stamford so of we went before i say anything more ok i review as as i /we find them on the day i /we are there todays visit found a very nice clean shop and restaurant most tables was clear staff was on the go at all times i/we was there a short wait for our meals as it was fresh cookt no prob there nice clean set out meal on the plate and after we had look around the shop it to me was very nice clean place very good staff and yes i /we will be back soon P.S. I had an all-day breakfast which was not what I wanted. The egg was undercooked and everything else seemed like it had been sitting in a bain-marie for hours. Oh yeah, and the bacon was truly awful, dried out and unconsumable. Won't want to eat there again.

Poorly run cafe,my table was dirty,no clean trays or clean mugs,food was awful very greasy I could not eat it , also service was terrible!!!

I do not know what is happening with Morrison’s cafe but it has gone down hill over the last few weeks and this week was awful.There was no chicken-fish or meat pies (this has been the case for weeks).I walked out my partner has the brunch which awful the best bit was the baked beans.The tables are not wiped cleaned there are dirty plates which need clearing away.Needs BIG improvement.

The wife and I escaped from the children this morning for a quick breakfast, both sunk our teeth into a gorgeous “big daddy breakfast” definitely won’t be eating for the rest of the day corr, it’s a biggen. Definitely will be back next week for more. Friendly staff, clean eating areas and quite atmosphere. Brill.

ok morrisons very good carpark plenty spacess both for cars and motorbikes and dissabled parking as well again this is how i we saw it on this day we first went to stamford town then desided to go back to morrisons for our dinner we found staff very helpfull food nice and hot clean eating area and it nice and light and bright we get near the window table so can see out side at the garden things they have

We usually have at least a coffee here when shopping, sometimes the fish and chips, which are usually good and excellent value, the baked potatoes and breakfasts are OK, but this year's "Christmas lunch" was the worst yet. How can they make sprouts overcooked and rock hard at the same time? Incredibly bad, thank goodness there were only three of them beside plastic turkey, instant mash and gravy and a couple of carrot sticks. No thank you, never again.

I haven't been to the cafe in Morrisons for a while tbh, and after today I won't be rushing back!! Hardly any choice of sandwiches, so I chose to have a bowl of chips they came out hardly any in the bowl and they were cold. I opted to have a hot chocolate which was vile, tasted just like chocolate water with froth. Ah well won't be rushing back in the future I'll buy a sandwich and eat it in the car!!

I had to choose the 4th tray to find one with a clean surface. Picking it up I discovered the underside was covered with a greasy substance. Obviously they had not been cleaned for some time.

well its a very hot day and we found it a job to get into Stamford do to queues of traffic so ok we go for dinner not bean for awhile so its off to Morrisons Café for dinner THE One In Stamford Is the very first one in Lincolnshire it as good parking places blue badge parking and motor bike parking as well a very good choice of menu to choose from easy to find on the main road we found the staff was ok the food was set out on plate very good and nice and hot

I vowed never to go into a Morrisons café again, but I needed a hot drink, so against my better judgement, I decided to try their café in Stamford. As I arrived at the service counter, the woman immediately in front of me spouted an obscenity - how delightful. I politely asked the checkout operator if they had an Americano, she told me she had no idea what was in the drinks machines. She was unfriendly and very unhelpful, not to mention being totally incompetent and ignorant. I can only describe this café as an absolute dump and not fit for purpose. It could have been worse though, I could have had something to eat. What followed was even worse, I have decided not to write in detail about this, other than to say, that if you want a relaxed and dignified place to eat, then this is not the place for you. If it were possible to give a minus rating for this so called café/restaurant, then I would give it the worst possible score. Never again will I patronise this dreadful café.

Tried to take my wife to the cafe here on date night. She said she’d rather defecate on her own chest and have tiger woods use a nine iron to whack her own excrement into her mouth than eat here.

This is a good place to stop for very reasonable priced simple food after shopping. Large containers are provided to store full shopping trolleys while you eat in a light and spacious cafe

ok in Stamford so for a change thought go back to Morrisons for dinner we bean sometimes before so knew what it would be like and yes it was very clean quite a few people there shopping it as a big car park and it sells petrol ect it as a car wash air for tyres as well as supermarket it as a great café area with plenty leg room at the tables it handy for wheelchairs and mobility scooters the food is quite big so think if not a big eater you should ask for a small plate just a thought quite a good bit to choose from

We went for lunch which was clearly microwaved. Service was indifferent as was the food even taking into account the price. Will not use again unless desperate.

It was convenient to have a lunch there mid week. There are always offers to chose from but I had my usual fish and chips which is always good. The fish is always piping hot and there is a choice of peas if you wish. My wife had the small version of fish and chips. This is excellent value for the smaller appetite.

ok first this Morrisons was the very first Morrisons supermarket in Lincolnshire and it is very smart place nice size car park plenty room for many cars ect and it as some disabled badge holder parking spaces as well it is well spaced out for shopping and well stackt with things to sell

Came here with my son after swimming. We were going to get fast food but I wanted to have a nice sit down meal with him so we decided to come here. Wish I hadn't.

I had to wait 40 minutes for my lunch (shank of lamb, mashed potatoes and peas). When it arrived it was lukewarm - there is little worse than lukewarm lamb, as it is such a fatty meat the fat coagulates as it cools. I shall not eat there again.

We stopped here for lunch halfway through a 250 mile drive from north to south. We regularly use Morrisons' cafes when we are travelling and this one provided a pleasant meal. We must compliment a member of staff whose name badge identified him as Jack, who was delivering meals in the restaurant, for his excellent helpful and friendly customer service to fellow diners. He reheated a guy's meal who complained about is luke-warm chips with a smile and a 'can do it's no problem' attitude. Another male staff member whose name we couldn't see, was sweeping debris from the floor and chatting away with older solitary customers, who were potentially lonely and looked happy to be spoken to, in a non- intrusive but friendly manner. The atmosphere felt friendly and welcoming and the fish and chips were very welcome.

Called in after a hospital appointment for lunch. Food was cold, although the portions were OK. . There were no forks, and we had to wait for some to be brought out. The only mugs available were all dirty until we pointed it out to a member of staff.

We have recently moved to the area and felt a little peckish so before we were going to start our shopping we decided to grab a little something to eat in the cafe.

Today 05/10 17 After coming from an auction in Newark and on my way to stamford , I decided to get something to eat in Morrisons in Stamford , as it easier to park there ,and so wish I hadn't. When I got to the check out the lady asked me was I having anything to drink , baring in mind I had to walk past all the drinks , and had been waiting staring at all the drinks for 5 minutes whilst waiting to pay. I advised her I was fine and told her what I had ordered my meal to someone at the beginning of the line who takes the orders, and in an extremely rude manner said " You do know there is a really long wait for food " I told her I didn't realise but that I knew now , she then again in a rude manner requested the card I had been given so I handed it over , she even tutted to the pereon behind me who she obviously knew in a way as to belittle me , I let it go , as I am sick and tired of the customer service in general and just couldn't be bothered to complain, The cashier had kind words to say to all the people that she spoke with in front of me and was so rude and abrupt towards me , obviously realised I wasn't a local or regular customer .

This Morrisons has a small coffee area just inside the store, it also has its usual resturant food is good value for money and good choices.

We were visiting Stamford for a family gathering and wanted something quick and light before heading along.

Always have shopped at Morrissons Stamford, but just recently, the shelves and produce has all been moved around the store, takes me twice as long to find what I am looking for.Everyone is walking around with a blank look as they cannot find anything either. Would have been a good idea to have handed out maps at the door on entry, till we get used to it.I still shop there are the prices and quality is good.

Having said 'never again,' I had cause to revisit with a relative. Since my previous review I can report improvement. The floor was clean, and the cutlery was cleaner than before. The staff member - a young man - who served us was courteous and helpful. In a big improvement we were told how long we would have to wait for the food and in fact it came within the time. However, there were still two downsides. The trays were horrible - we could not find a clean one. Globs of half-dried on food had been smeared about, presumably with a damp cloth, but had not been cleaned off. The undersides of the trays were very sticky - who wants their fingers sticky with other peoples' left-over food? Customers were going through the piles of trays trying to find a clean one and having to choose the least dirty. Once we sat down the table was also sticky. These things put customers off their food.

Don't bother, this cafe used to be good but since the revamp it is awful.

My husband and I had a late lunch here on Mon 1 May 2017. Steak & Ale Pie with Chips & Mushy Peas and Orange Juice for him and Cheese & Mushroom Omelette with Chips & Garden Peas and a Pot of Tea for me. My husband’s Mushy Peas were just about non-existent - mainly ‘juice’. My omelette was very good. We both agreed the Chips were a little dry but at £12 total bill we are not complaining. We were told there was a 20 minute wait for hot meals - ours arrived in 15 minutes. The staff were lovely.

For the price paid we cannot complain. Food and service average. Decor improved recently. Fine dining not, but after all it is simply a supermarket.

We took our baby with us to have a bit of lunch here whilst passing. It's a perfect cafe with a baby as there's plenty of room for the pram and the staff had no problem with my wife breastfeeding discreetly at the table

Visited the café today. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food arrived within 15 minutes. We had a breakfast omelette and a full breakfast. Both meals were tasty and worth having although one small criticism, some of the food was not very hot.

If there is anything you want Morrisons will have it. Staff very friendly .always willing to help. Plants especially very good

Used to go to Morrisons for lunch with friends when I was at Stamford College. Within walking distance of the college and you are able to get a healthy lunch at a reasonable price

It is a bad experience coming to the cafe. It is neither a cafe or restaurant. Everything is too much trouble. Morrisons distrust the public. 1 sauce per meal. A joke. All condiment have been taken away from the tables. Breakfasts are cold or undercooked. Portions are very small. The chicken dinner used to be half a chicken. Now is two slices of Bernard Matthews processed chicken. It's not the staffs fault but the management. Until they take it serious it will stay the same. It should be value for money. It's not.

2 adult meals, 2 kids meals (with fruit bag) and four drinks for £10. Amazing value for money. The fish and chips is fine. I've eaten here plenty of times. No complaints

I have visited Stamford every summer for several years. Each year we have visited Morrisons Cafe - it never improves and now I have said 'Never again.' It is so different from the Morrisons Cafe in Grantham, thus the cause of the problems cannot be difficult to find... One of the major chronic problems is the serving of the food. For example, on our last visit we ordered a main course with a hot desert to be brought later. Did the desert come? No. We asked once - they said they would bring it. They did not. We had to ask again, and then wait and wait. Why is it so difficult to get an apple crumble? This sort of thing has happened several times over the years. On the same occasion we ordered a prawn salad. When it came the prawns were very small and watery - not like the large normal ones on the picture. On other occasions some meals have lacked items that should have been there. In the past we have had occasions on which one meal has turned up and been eaten before other meals have been delivered to the table. Who wants to eat in a place where you don't know when the food will turn up, and whether it will be substandard? My impression is that the front of house staff are doing their best, but there are not enough of them. The floor is often dirty and sticky, as if they don't even mop it overnight. For years the cutlery items were usually dirty and/or greasy - you could tell that someone was holding it all in a bunch and swilling the heads in water - this year that did seem to have improved. Morrisons have now improved the appearance of their cafes with the nice new tables and chairs, but Morrisons cafes are being let down by low standards at Stamford.
