I meet with friends nearly every Wednesday afternoon we have a laugh and remember bygone days the blue pig still a great pub the young staff are lovely we have not eaten there yet but will try in the future . Christine wood

Nice old fashioned English pub with a good range of beer and cider. Warm and welcoming. Being from Spain I was pleasantly surprised to see CruzCampo on tap. Shame it was bloody awful! Guinness was good though

Great old pub with loads of character and quite a few characters too. Really good selection of beers at a very reasonable price. If it’s value your looking for you would struggle to find anywhere in the area as competitive. Loverly oak beams in one of the oldest buildings in Grantham. Located really close to st Wulfrums church so ideal if your visiting the church for an event. I visited in the summer and got to use the beer garden on a glorious sunny day. The outdoor furniture looked almost brand new and it was spotless. I hear they have sky sports TV and a pool table now so that’s another reason to go back. The staff were so polite and really looked after us. We didn’t wait long at all to get served. Il definitely be going back in the winter when they get the log fires burning. I can only imagine it being super cosy in such a nice old building. On my final note I’d like to recommend you try the old rosy cider they have. It’s absolutely delicious but be careful of how many you have because it can creep up on you. Many thanks to the blue pig team for making us feel so welcome

Decent Little pub. Had a couple of drinks there tonight and there was a great atmosphere for a Wednesday night! Staff were friendly.

Went in Monday for the first time since 2001 it hasnt changed one bit great little pub with a friendly atmosphere for all age groups

Lovely building and interior which was ruined by a member of staff swearing loudly and repeatedly from behind the bar. Some might find this acceptable but many don’t. Will not be returning.

Disgusting foul mouthed barmaid who loves the F word and doesn't hold back on using it. How is this possibly a nice pub. Hopefully they will go bust, quickly!!!! She has a mouth like a sewer. Not fit to hold a license.

Lovely place to enjoy a beer and a chat with the locals... I couldn't find a stout beer (except Guinness), however the conversations flowed as smooth as beer 😊

My husband re visited this pub after 50 years, the pub of his youth ! Beer was cheap but not as cheap as the 70s

Great place for a drink. Staff friendly. They do a quiz as well so might give that a bash another day. Definitely recommend

Land lady is a rude miserable woman, doesn’t like giving out tap water as well because it costs her too much apparently, never heard such nonsense. One lovely woman serviced me, yet the land lady just spoke to her like dirt. Pub itself is nice but smells like piss and service with a smile would be nice.

Staff polite, friendly and great service. Even got our last round brought to table. Lovely interior of pub, old school drinks and prices reasonable. Only didn't give 5 star as I feel the toilets need renovating.

Well this is deff not a place to bring your family. It a bit rough. Beer is decent but there is a lot of idiots around

Staff unfriendly even the landlady. People were acting like kids screaming no one said anything to them or even asked them to sit down, could talk to anyone at your table for noise bar staff constantly trying to get you to buy more drinks not letting you enjoy a drink

Stopped in here last Friday as I awaited for my friends from London coming up on the train Only had a pint of fosters ..walked through the door Immediately got told by staff to sign in for check and trace which was great Lady immediately come up and took my order which was just a pint of fosters Was quite busy and seemed very friendly place Staff seemed nice and friendly and welcoming Would definitely return for another pint 👍

Verbally assaulted by a drunk who was, tbf, swiftly ejected by the Landlady. It used to be a nice old pub no longer. Could still be a great pub but needs to attract a new client base. Wetherspoons is now the "best" pub in Grantham!!

This is a lovely old pub which is very well run and friendly. There is a great quiz on Wednesday nights with a large following too.

An 18 year old girl coming into the blue pig to enjoy an evening with friends and as i walk in the landlord squares up to me saying i’m lying about the amount of people i was meeting, when i was only with 2 other people. She comes right into my face and tells me to “f*** off”. This is disgraceful behaviour and i am extremely offended.

Currently, as a frequent visitor to Grantham I find this to be the best go to Pub in the Town. Even in work clothes. Bar staff are lovely and hardworking. The beer is well kept and the Pub is complying with Covid restrictions really well. A proper well kept Pub to visit.

Great selection of alcohol, nice beer garden, it’s a damn shame the Land Lady is a grumpy old Trollope will serve you then take away your water because they “don’t give away drinks”. What was the point in serving me it then? I actually liked the place.

Shame about the place, been before and its been alright. Went after lock down, found a seat in a corner table and everything fine. Couple of hours later needed the loo and after returning table had been taken by a couple which was fair enough. I didn't want to take the table next to it as it was for 6 people and thought that be inconsiderate so looked in the other part of the pub. Then a women from the bar started having a go at me for walking around, I told her that my table I had been taken then the (who I think was either the landlady or manager) had a go at me for going to the loo and told me to take the table with 6 seat... Frankly RUDE and will not bother coming to The Blue Pig again.

While the six nations is on beer ,lager and Guinness are cheaper than usual

Been visiting Grantham lots recently. After visiting all the pubs, I think this is the best. Service at the bar very good smiles, conversation. Offered to go make me a sandwich when they had run out of the one I wanted!. The locals have got to recognise me and they are funny and chatty. The place has loads of architectural features. Pretty much a perfect pub for me.

Great beers, very friendly staff, open fire when cold, free WiFi, tasty snacks, pork pies and 50p off the majority of their own ales Fridays 5 to 8 pm. What's not to like 👍😀.

A lovely old, historic pub in every way. It has a real old / non-plastic pub feel to it, a real fireplace and it's very cosy. The barmaid was very friendly too, which added to the good experience I will definitely be back and will try the very affordable food next time. 5 stars

we visit this pub for sunday lunch which we enjoy very much ..the staff are friendly the blue pig is one of granthams oldest public houses and still retains its character with low beams etc it can get busy which shows how popular it is ..I'd recommend you pay a visit even if for sunday lunch
