Wir waren abends hier, fanden einen sehr gepflegten Gastraum vor, der Service war sehr freundlich und kompetent, unaufdringlich aber aufmerksam - einfach so, wie es sein soll. Die Speisen waren sehr schmackhaft, das Angebot gross und mit dem netten Zusatz: es gibt zusätzlich einige sehr gute nepalesische Gerichte, begleitet von nepalesischem Bier (in UK gebraut) - eine nette Besonderheit. Eine klare Empfehlung für Liebhaber indischer Küche.

Sadly, The Rose has closed down, and is now all boarded up. There had been a "For Sale" notice last month, but even this has gone. From a local resident.

We called in on the off chance for Sunday lunch on the way back from an event having read a good review recently. The maitre D runs a brilliant small team and the front of house couldn’t have been more accommodating - had taken drinks orders and suggested we enjoy the Sun whilst they set our table up. The food was really brilliant. I had pate for starters and my only criticism was that there was too much! Initially when I saw the large portion I assumed it would be average but it was a really lovely pate, just too much for me with two large slabs! Main was roast beef and it was brilliant, really lovely rolled sirloin served pink. We were on a hiding from the night before so neither indulged in the wine but they had a really lovely wine list and a busy restaurant. The service was lovely, so nice to see such a well turned out dining room complete with linen for Sunday service. 10/10 to front of house for all of their efforts here. Will definitely return in the week to sample their full menu(and wine list!)

Realmente decepcionado después de recomendarlo a amigos después de visitar durante toda mi infancia. La salsa satay era extremadamente acuosa y no tenía la textura que cabría esperar de la salsa satay, ¡además no sabía nada parecido! Comida grasienta y fría, no como solía ser, lo cual es una pena. Además, el restaurante cerró temprano por 30 minutos, lo que significa que no podíamos volver y hablar con el equipo sobre esto cuando nos dimos cuenta de inmediato de que la comida estaba fría e insuficiente.

Have visited the cafe many times. always had great a experience. We order cakes from time to time to have at home, always the best quality and great prices. next on the list is to have the afternoon tea which looks amazing. can not speak highly enough of the staff and the food. Dave Nutt.

This restaurant was great when it open. At the moment (September 2023) you are lucky if they have all the things in the menu… The waitress usually after checking with the kitchen will say that they don’t have what you just order…

Ive been here many times over the years it always been exceptional. It’s a lovely place to stop for refreshments a food while enjoying Whyndam Park.

This takeaway is magic. I tried it a few times years ago and it was good but I always preferred the competition in the town. Been ordering from here recently since moved close to it and blown away every time. Excellent value for money and brilliant food. The chicken curry is one of the best I’ve ever had, proper thick, good quality chicken and tastes great. They do cash and card which is helpful. Super friendly staff, greeted by a young lady with a massive smile on her face. Do yourself a favour and order from here for a change if you haven’t already. You won’t be disappointed.

worst food i’ve ever received. said would be delivered between 9:45 and 10 but didnt arrive until 10:45. The majority of items were missing and all food was inedible.

One of the best paninis i’ve ever had. I had the tuna melt and you receive a large portion for a very small price! I was extremely impressed. Comes with a lovely fresh salad and crisps. A lovely girl greeted us in on the saturday afternoon whilst a friendly young boy took our order. Our drinks were divine and service was speedy. Will definitely be back! Thank you Cafe Black

This place doesn't exist anymore. I've tried reporting to Google several times but they keep rejecting through edit. Don't waste your time driving here!

Popped in on a Sunday to try their sunday lunch . Will definitely go back . Lots of veg , choice of beef or pork. Other dishes available on their chalkboard including vegetarian. Service was very good . Please give it a go , you won't be disappointed. Also , the bar has a great choice of ales which are in great nick.

pizza all good garlic bread very disappointing no garlic taste just dry base

Bin takeaway, pizza dough raw, so much topping no wonder it's not cooked. Not recommended. Chips ain't bad but who can't cook chips
