This restaurant was great when it open. At the moment (September 2023) you are lucky if they have all the things in the menu… The waitress usually after checking with the kitchen will say that they don’t have what you just order…

Cafe food , basic ingredients, synthetic sausages and strange tasting brown sauce. Mostly good breakfast and a good cup of tea for not too bad prices. Management could do with taking manner lessons from the waiting staff.

Disappointing. I’ve been here quite a few times now and the order usually is wrong most of the time but I wouldn’t mind because it happens in a busy restaurant. But recently I did wait for 30 mins to order my food and someone who came late than me was served earlier too. Like always I get toast with no butter and most times they’ve always put butter so I have to return it and ask for a new one, I waited for 10 min and finished my whole meal and they bring me a plain toast. So I returned those as well because I was already done and the waitress had an attitude, cleared the table with no apology. However, she told me she had made a note to the chef but they didn’t read it. Really really disappointed with the service. I think proper management is lacking in your restaurant.

Polite, friendly staff. Prompt service. Extensive menu. Good value for money. We called into Grantham on a long journey. The cafe was a welcome break.

I’m assuming he was the manager or maybe owner because he’s attitude was so bad, we’d ordered a breakfast which wasn’t cheap, ordered toast separately after it not arriving after starting to eat breakfast I asked if my husband could have the toast, he appeared seconds later with the ‘cold’ toast shoved it on the table and said she’s too impatient. OMG we weren’t the only ones that had to ask for items that hadn’t arrived. The breakfast “the builders” was not at all worth the money. There’s far better cafes around, go try them instead!
