I went to the Blue Anchor establishment for a delightful Thai food experience with the family (fam (gang)). It was worth the short walk to the place. They have nice traditional Thai options (as far as I would know) and excellent friendly service! Atmosphere at the bar side could be better, but restaurant environment is what you would expect + all the historical photographs scattered around the place. Nonetheless, it was a great choice and a place I would visit again.

While food was quite nice unfortunately portion sizes were very small for the price and when we asked why they were so small excuses were made including "pad thai is a side dish" and not a main. Portion was taken back and reappeared with 2 extra noodles. Disappointing

This place is unfortunately a shambles. The food is of good taste, how ever the portions for the price are absolutely ridiculous. Such a shame as we would love to support a local unique business but being such extremely poor value for money I just can't justify it. Coupled with the extreme lack in customer service. Poor wait times, struggle to even make an order in the first place. I can't see how this place will survive much longer. Having experienced dine in and take away from here the disappointment is equal between the two experiences. Eat in. Expect your rice to come out first? Followed 20 mins later by your main? Takeaway? Except to arrive on time and wait a further 20 mins before they acknowledge you and then another 15 before your kids sized portions are brought out to you with a very cheery, enjoy your meal. They must walk back into the kitchen and mutter 'you absolute mug' This business has a really good model but extremely poorly executed. What an absolute shame for Shoreham-by-Sea.

We've eaten here twice now and the service was super friendly, the food was really tasty and the portions were generous. It's fast becoming a family favourite and the food is good enough for me to want to take my thai sister in-law with us when she's next over, which is high praise.

This restaurant was recommended to me by someone who obviously had a better experience. The staff were not overly friendly and the food was disappointing. The mushrooms in the meal were so rubbery, I might have been trying to consume an eraser! The noodles were served in a clump, rather than individual entities and the meal was not worth the cost. I have had better Thai meals in London at half the price.

First time here this evening and everything was on point. Lived in Thailand for 11 years; so I’m Always skeptical as where to eat authentic Thai in the UK. Great experience. No messing around with the spice when it came to the Laab Gai. Plenty of Chang. Perfect staff ❤️ 10/10

I recently visited Thai Pinto, located on the High Street in Leatherhead, and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was inviting — relaxed, warm, and authentically styled without being over the top. We started with the Prawn Tempura (£8.50), which was light, crispy, and perfectly cooked. The batter wasn’t greasy, and the prawns were fresh — a great opener to the meal. For the main course, I chose the Goong Priew Wahn (£14.50), a classic sweet and sour dish with prawns. It was well-balanced, not overly sweet, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Paired with a side of Khao Soway (steamed rice, £3.95), it made for a hearty and satisfying meal. To accompany the food, we had two bottles of Chang (£9.90 total) and a Pint of Singha (£6.95). Both beers were chilled perfectly and complemented the Thai flavors excellently. After the meal, a Hazelnut Coffee (£7.00) was the perfect ending — aromatic, smooth, and just the right strength. The overall bill came to £55.90, which included a £5.10 service charge. Considering the quality of the food, drink, and service, I found it to be good value for money. Service: The staff were friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and clearly cared about the guests having a good experience. Overall Verdict: Thai Pinto offers authentic, flavorful Thai food in a welcoming environment with great service. Perfect for a casual dinner with friends or a relaxed date night. I’ll definitely be returning!

We ordered take away for the first time. Food was tasty but the dishes were very basic. The prawns were from frozen which was very disappointing, they were all mushy as you chewed them. The summer rolls had too much rice paper so they were very rubbery and tacky to chew. The drunken noodle didn’t have much else other than noodles and prawns. The papaya salad was nice. Sadly, I don’t think we’ll be using this restaurant again
