Hansa's Thai Kitchen in Elmbridge

The food here is excellent. Fresh, delicious Thai food and not ridiculously priced. You don’t get the post dinner downer after eating it like you can with a stodgy Chinese.

Ordered through Deliveroo and only half the order turned up ,we contacted the restaurant and they were very unhelpful,the only way to get missing items was to pay again. Would not order from them again . I know this may have been the drivers fault or not ,but would have been nice if the restaurant manager had been more understanding .

We have been having Thai food from Hansa regularly. They always deliver high quality tasty food which is also healthy

This place is amazing, we were served by Sila and were taken care of the entire night! She was very attentive and made sure we had a good time, couldn't recommend this place more!

Placed an order for delivery at 8.10pm via Deliveroo. At 9.10pm Deliveroo delivered the wrong order. I spoke to Hansa Thai, they agreed to send the replacement correct order. At 9.40pm it had not arrived so I called only to be told that the replacement order “had not gone through” and that no food was in its way!!! Wow. So, no dinner. No resolution. Terrible customer service

Dreadful, avoid at every opportunity. Cold , extremely late, can’t get hold of them to find out the reason it’s late and utterly tasteless..

I’ve just ordered PRAWN stir fry because I am not eating meat. Guess what? They brought me CHICKEN stir fry. I also ordered spring rolls - they brought them just in a little paper bag - not in plastic box what you’d usually expect. I mean it’s rather shocking to mess up so much and that’s WEYBRIDGE for you! Never again. Oh, by the way, I ordered them before and it was okay. So I was so called repeat customer and that’s how they treat repeat customers!!!

I ordered this as a takeaway because my mother in law wasn’t feeling well and didn’t want to go out. My favourite is the Tom ka hed soup so that’s my focus for this review as was the most disappointing. Although the flavour was great I was appalled to discover practically an entire ONION in our soup. Clearlythis was added as a filler as I can’t imagine wanting to eat an onion with Tom ka soup. I’ve eaten this in every Thai I’ve ever been in, with many variations but never so much onion. Please stop this practice. I paid £15 for one bowl of soup and one bowl of onion. Yuck. Sad because the flavour was great and the red chicken curry was lovely.

Ordered a Kra Pow. Didn't receive one (pictured). Called to discuss it and they just said talk to Deliveroo. Zero customer care. They were then rude and put the phone down. Called back to ask if I could email the picture so they can understand or at least confirm thats how they make Kra Pow (which would still be wrong, but at least i know) and they just hung up again. I'd go to the local Thai chain that serves more authentic food than this place. Not to mention better customer service. Aviod if you want to recieve the dish you actually ordered.

Do not waste your money using this restaurant. The food was virtually inedible. It was cold and overcooked and the broccoli in the vegetable pad Thai went in the bin as it had passed it’s sell by date and the rice was so hard we couldn’t eat it. We also received a chicken red curry with absolutely no chicken - it was clearly just a vegetable curry. We wasted £50 on an inedible meal.

I actually had a delivery from them after reading some positive reviews. It was quite simply appalling.. not one of the dishes were even close to being remotely acceptable.. . The pork was so overcooked there was 1/2 a Carton of papaya salad, which was essentially slaw with nuts, at £10+ .. and the wontons were inedible... the ribs were not too bad and the pad thai passable but very bland. I rung them immediately to inform them of my dissatisfaction, and they just didn't really give a hoot. Ah well SIR/MADAM in Byfleet for my next order. YUK...

We weren't there. Hansas Kitchen only does take away or Deliver delivery (Booo!). I'm afraid the choice and quality of the food has deteriorated since the decided to stop having a seat in restaurant, and only offer pick up or delivery. No Morning Glory, no Fish Cakes when we ordered a d pick up delivery.. No return order from us! Sorry Hansa but you've lost a repeat customer now..

Hansa’s kitchen is a regular takeaway spot for the family because it consistently put smiles on everyone’s face. The food portion sizes are fair and taste great. I’d recommend the Curry Puff (Thai Samosa) - outstanding.

Just received my Deliveroo order. £50 for 4 dismal portions and they didn’t even include the rice. Won’t be ordering here again.

Really nice food, have been here a few times so far, but there is always something a bit lacking, there's a bit of inconsistency, hence the 3 star rating.

Hansa's is a little gem. Being new to the area, I'm thrilled this is our local for yummy Thai food! Always so delicious, good quality and very reasonably priced. Looking forward to trying more dishes.

We were recommended this place by a couple of our friends and couldn't wait to order. The red curry and pad thai were absolutely stunning- so delicious and flavourful. The drunken noodle on the other hand was a bit disappointing- it was quite greasy and did not have much flavour to it at all. Overall very pleased though and will definitely order again. I'd highly recommend Hansa to anyone.

Very good food, loved it. The owner is also extremely friendly , the kitchen looked spotless and the food was tasty.

I had high hopes for this restaurant as the reviews were so high but upon the arrival of picking up my takeaway order, they’d given my food to another customer by accident. I waited for the food to be cooked and should have suspected how it was cooked so quickly. Got back home and honestly, the food was so salty and the Thai green curry was a let down. You could see the sauce had split and was flavourless. The grilled garlic fish portion was a joke for £16.50!!!! Two slices of fish drowning in a sauce?! Daylight robbery to charge that! But the worse thing is since eating that myself and my husband have had upset bellies. I won’t be going back. First impressions are often the last ones. Very simple food overpriced because it’s Weybridge and I’ve had a better Thai curry in a Chinese restaurant in Sunbury so go figure...

I would have to say this is probably the worst Thai food I have ever eaten! It is expensive and the portions were small.(just eaten and still hungry) Mixed starter for two had wontons which contained no filling- basically just a deep fried bit of pastry🤢 The jungle curry was watery and had an overpowering taste of ginger and lacked vegetables. I would never ever order from here again, stick with wagamama's you know what your getting!

Had many good nights in this great resturant This was the first time with a takeaway and what can i say it was fantastic thank you to Hansa and all her great staff. Look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Eaten here several times, both in the restaurant and as a takeaway (we pretty much have ordered a Hansa's takeaway twice a month since the first lockdown in March 2020). It is ALWAYS good, never disappoints and is so full of flavour. Honestly, it is the best Thai food we have eaten. The Chilli Basil Beef is outstanding alongside the Chicken Pad Thai and Vegetable Spring Rolls. We find the staff to be really friendly.

Ordered the below takeaway menu to round off our Year. Eaten lots of Thai food but, tried this restaurant for the first time so, chose the dishes we knew well. The food was very bland, lacked vegetables and the meats in each dish. A lot of money for noodles in other words. Regular consumer of Asian food the Dim Sum was ok but, nothing to get excited about. I wish I read the reviews before ordering! 1 x Pad Thai Noodles (Thai Style Noodles) Beef 1 x Pad Thai Noodles (Thai Style Noodles) Prawn 1 x Khanom Jeeb (Thai Dim Sum)

No explanation, restaurant cancelled order and took Uber Eats discount voucher with it, couldn't even use the discount on another order from another restaurant. Not cool

We had a fantastic Thai takeaway from this restaurant during lockdown. We had never ordered from here before and it was delivered through deliveroo. The food tasted authentic, fresh and full of flavour. It cane very quickly too. Would highly recommend and this will be our new go to from now on.

Placed a large order for collection, 18 items totalling nearly £100, when we collected they read back our order and passed us 3 bags, when we got it home we were missing 2 curry dishes so we phoned expecting apologies but instead got a barrage of abuse and to be called lairs, not only that but the food was mediocre at best, I found the vegetable spring rolls greasy in comparison to other places and my roast duck curry was very ‘tomato-ey’ definitely won’t be returning or recommending.

Attended today, explained I was vegetarian and wanted a curry. After speaking at length to 2 members of staff who said they only had vegetarian stir frys they agreed to do a vegetarian soup as all curry pastes were pre made and contained scrimps. After a long wait we got some starters where the sweet corn cakes were under seasoned and like tempura and scraps of corn in batter. When we finally got the got mains the soup was full of chicken despite having spoken about being vegetarian and when this was brought to staffs attention they were unapologetic and said I would just have to wait! Decided to pay bill and leave but manager came out into restaurant and told us “just go, we don’t need your money!”Will not recommend to anyone- avoid!!

Arrived at 6pm so it was empty (wasn’t like that for long) food was really nice. And service was great, they add a tip on when paying the bill just keep an eye out for that... the food isn’t hot though as in chillies.

Excellent food with an extensive menu and lots of options for vegetarians.Great service, cosy setting. We went there for the first time on a rainy Friday evening. Our booking was for 7pm. By 8’o clock the restaurant was full.There was two types of prawn crackers to nibble on while we perused the extensive menu. We had the Thai dim sum and the Miang Kham to start with...these were delicious.Then we had a refreshing papaya salad, Thai green curry,chicken stir fry and jasmine rice and were totally stuffed by then. They also gave us a complimentary fruit place afterwards with after eights. Will definitely revisit.

The first night we tried to find a table, it was fully booked. We booked for the following night and they gave us the last table. The place was packed, but service was extremely quick and the food excellent and good value, too. They even managed to fit in several takeaway orders. The speed of operation was amazing.

We’re biased - Hansa is our local Thai and we have been coming for years - but it really is superb, and deserves the praise it receives.I would always recommend eating in: All the food is freshly cooked from scratch, vegetables are excellent (there’s no other place where our kids first pick is the broccoli!) and service is personal. Sometimes a little understaffed - but they always seem to cope well.Quality of produce is also high, we normally mix some of the raw starters with the usual Thai fare.

I thought I’d try this place for the first time and I was deeply disappointed. I was told to pick up my takeaway in 45 minutes. I arrived and was ignored until I went up to someone. I was then waiting another 40 minutes until I received my food. Others had waited longer. Terrible service!!

This is normally a good restaurant and one of my favourites in Weybridge but terrible tonight. Ordered by phone for a takeaway and was told 25-30 minutes. Arrived after 35 minutes and was asked to wait. Waited some more, asked where my order was, waited some more. Eventually after 40 minutes waiting was told they'd not even started cooking my order. Got a refund of my payment and left after wasting an hour of my evening.

This is a fabulous restaurant with excellent food served. They will go out of the way to cook your food as you like it with or with spices and ingredients. Have been coming here for over two years now and have never once said that the meals were not up to their usual standards. Friendly manager and staff who go the extra mile to help with your every wish. Highly recommended.

Incredible food, friendly service, and very accommodating. I like to come here when I have guests because all the food is just so amazing. Just went with four friends, one of whom has a long list of allergies and the staff were incredibly helpful. Can't quite emphasize just how delicious all the food is. I'd recommend the whole menu but especially spare ribs starter, coconut rice, and pineapple rice.

BEST and most traditional thai food I've had in ages!!

Had this on recommendation and not disappointed. Hadn’t booked and was accommodated easily. The inside was if I’m being honest, a little cramped but the food was exquisite ! Fab large prawn toasts followed by Penang red curry, chicken pad Thai jasmine rice and mixed veg. Complimentary fruit makes up for the lack of dessert menu. Not an issue fir me and will return !

We walked in , no booking , & we were accomodated even though there appeared to be no free table they said we had this table set for 6 ( we were 3 ) & we could have it for the hour! We ordered drinks & the set meal for £25 each ... a basket of crackers arrived on the table as we sat down.

Beautiful home cooked Thai food great Tom yum soup hot and spicy , great Thai green curry traditional and flavoursome would come back all day long !!

Always enjoy going here. Service is attentive, food is excellent. I recommend the starter that comes with a platter of fillings you mix up and wrap in lettuce leaves. Doesn't sound like much but is a taste sensation!

Good quality food served here, eat in or takeaway..

This has to be one of the best Thai meals that I have ever had. The food is just delicious and I loved every bit of it. The spices are just right for you to taste the dishes that are on offer and you get decent portions. Will definitely return to this fabulous restaurant.

First time visiting and we will be back for sure! Delicious fresh food with lovely hosts and great service. All the dishes we chose were flavoursome and well balanced and the restaurant itself is intimate and quietly set back off the main road. Really enjoyed our meal, Thank you Hansa!

This is a great little Thai restaurant with a super menu and excellent food. Some of the tables are a little close together and more subdued lighting would help - but if it's great Thai food you're after, you could do a lot worse.

This is one of my favourite restaurants and it never lets me down. As always the food was fresh and delicious, beautifully presented and tables well appointed. My sister from South Africa was well impressed.

Gorgeous little restaurant with amazing food!! I'd highly recommend the Hansas sharing platter for starters, we shared it among three of us and it was amazing! I had the creamy red Thai curry which was really tasty and the perfect portion size with lots of roasted peppers. We also shared the pad thai and it was the best i've had. They give you fruit and an after eight when you're done which is a lovely finish to the meal. Will be back again and again and again!

Me and my fiancee booked online after reading the reviews. It's a very small restaurant with not a lot of space. However the food was really good.

So pleased we found this lovely restaurant. We have been dining there once a week and each time , we have come away satiated with delicious food. The restaurant is small and tables are set slightly close together . We tend to visit on less busy days eg Wednesdays or Sundays. The Thai duck red curry and the green prawn curries are mouth watering as the morning glory and stir fried veggies with cashew nuts. The starter of sea bass in lettuce leaves with typical Thai aromatic flavours is also our favourite. You can see from my photos that we have dug into the food with great anticipation and hence forgot to take photos before eating away !

We decided to come here for my partners birtday eith the family all 8 of us. Restaurant is a small size and already had 2 other birthday parties so to say it was busy is an understatement. The staff were stretched to the limit and I have been to many restaurants and at this point the cracks show and turn into huge gapping hole. Here I am delighted to say they managed extremely well. There was a couple minutes delay but all parties could see the level they were at and i have to say the service was impressive. We all ordered food drinks and all arrived wothin good time and the food was fantastic feom larger well cooked prawns and squid salad the beef stir fried with noodles and various salads. We were all impressed by the food and the presentation. Portions were perfect and ambience excellent tad noisy but with 3 birthday partied to be expected and all were having fun. Well done

Great Thai food everytime I've eaten here! Restaurant is a little small and everyone's quite close together. We usually order take away and food is always of the same high standard as when we've eaten in the restaurant.

This was a very good place chosen by partner. The locals have been raving about it and I been hoping to visit. It didnt dissapoint and I must say I will be back. Thanks team!

The best Thai food I've had in the UK.

I ate here with a colleague in March 2019.I estimate the restaurant caters for about ~40 people and the mid week night we were in had a large party of 16 in there. Despite that, the service was quick and good.

Cosy Thai restaurant in Weybridge. This restaurant is a five minute walk from the Oatlands Park Hotel where I am staying on business. I had lunch here - fried prawns and chicken in red curry. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. This was so good, I may eat here again before I leave at the end of the week! The complimentary fruit at the end of the meal was such a nice touch. I highly recommend!

Exceptional. We had Summer Rolls and Pork Satay, equisite. Drunken Stir Fry, Sirloin Salad and Pad Thai. This is the freshest meal I've ever tasted, sensational. No hint of any bought in ingredients which you can get in Asian restaurants. The little dipping sauces were mind blowing and full off chopped nuts. Fabulous, wish we lived nearer. Staff friendly but not hugely attentive. Seemed a bit overwhelmed with running a full restaurant.

Had dinner there last night (Saturday). We went for the Platter to share, the chicken panang, the king prawn with chilli and basil, 1 portion of rice and a side of vegetables (see pictures) as well as 2 beers and a small sparkling water. The total cane to £60.70 which was a bit pricey considering the portions.

Yes, ok the tables are packed in and close together. The food however is great and he service fast and friendly.

23 of us went there for our Christmas meal, okay, we didn’t eat Christmas fair. We had a very enjoyable evening though, the food was delicious, served hot and I didn’t see any leftovers! Would definitely go again and recommend. Thank you.

A number of our friends had been talking about this restaurant for a while, so my wife and I went this evening with another couple who are very good friends.

Ten of us settled down to choose our favourites to order an evening take-away meal. There was so much to choose from that it took about an hour to settle on the dishes. I 'phoned the list to the restaurant and 45 minutes later collected the bags. Everything was ready on time and a member of staff read the order to make sure. Once home, we opened all the trays and shared the contents. 'Absolutely delicious' was the consensus. Most of the dishes could be made using a variety of meats, prawns or made vegetarian. There was enough left over for some to have the next day too. The restaurant was fairly busy, it being a Friday. The atmosphere in the restaurant is always good (we've been here to eat several times before and have never been disappointed). The price for ten people to have all they could eat was £120, so good value. Another place to return to.

Very happy with the quality of the food here. We had a starter and main course each and it was worth every mouthful! The red & green Thai curry are definitely worth trying! Just make sure you book especially at weekends....it’s a cosy and small restaurant and can get very busy!

This restaurant is small cramped but does serve beautiful food. What does let it down is the Hands her self, she is rude obnoxious and unpleasant. Was in there one night last week, admitted they were busy but it took an hour to be served with our starters. Then when we did get them they served one member of our table and left the rest for another 10 mins. People were coming into the restaurant and being served before us. When my colleague complained she told us if we didn't like it to leave. We got up and left. We won't be going back there. Food great customer service zero.

I cannot undertand how anyone could give Hansa's a one star rating but I suppose even the best restaurant can have an off night. It certainly was NOT an off night when we were there. The food was delicious and I am looking forward to going back.

Great food and service. Glad hansa is back as she is such a character. You feel you are having dinner in her home. Only one issue- it's very cramped not good with elderly parents

Food is fantastic. However the service was poor with staff not really working together. The space is also very tight so not much gap between tables and hard to have a private conversation. The low ceiling also makes it feel quite noisy.

We wanted a chilled night out with some good Thai food. Hansas did nor disappoint. We eat out a lot and Thai is a particular favourite food of ours. Hansas is the best Thai food available in the areas around Walton, Weybridge and surrounding areas because the food is always fresh, of good quality and an authentic taste. Hansa herself is a delightful host who gets to know her customers personally which adds to a lovely evening out. We both would highly recommend.

Lovely food, and friendly service. Only downside is tables very close together, and not good for an intimate meal with friends. Few times we've visited has always been early but I can imagine when its very busy it would not be comfortable.
