Siam Paragon in Elmbridge

If you are vegetarian like I am don’t bother going here! They label dishes on the menu as Vegetarian. I proceeded to order a starter and a main only to be told they use shrimp paste in the sauce for one and that it was best not to have the starter because it would be “contaminated” (in the words of the waitress) by oil containing fish based ingredients. That just inspired little confidence that any of the dishes were actually vegetarian. They stir fried some veg for me in ginger and soy - I could have made that at home. Hugely disappointed and made that clear to them.

Ordered a takeaway. I have eaten from the Siam P for many years but the food quality has declined so much I will never go back. The starters were good but everything else was just awful. The red chicken curry was like water, thin and lacked actual chicken, beef massanan had the worst thin pieces of poor quality beef , the chicken cashew was massively overcooked and dry, the sticky rice inedible and the squid was breadcrumbed and lacked taste any Thai tate. For the price, it is incredibly poor. Not the Thai of old. Avoid and go elsewhere.

Good food and friendly service :) The food was served in about 5-10 minutes and the place has a calming atmosphere.

We have visited this restaurant dozens of times and never had a bad experience. The food is tasty and plentiful, the service is always excellent and the wine and beers are cold and decent value.

Very nice food and friendly service. We arrived late in the evening, but they were happy to serve. Food was great - had the steamed seabass which was large, fresh and tasty. Had a king prawn dish and the shrimp were huge and had great flavour.

Had delivery. Seafood dish arrived cold, with it barely filling half the container and the portion of the duck actually made us laugh! It was such a small portion we managed to stretch to 3 pancake rolls and it already came shredded which I wish I knew as I am really not a fan of that. Will go elsewhere next time. Disappointing.

Siam Paragon's stall at the Thai festival had good food but poor business practices. They overcharged me by 20% and only refunded after I complained. While they corrected the mistake, it raises concerns about their honesty!!

I'm surprised by the negative reviews. This place is my go-to restaurant for date nights, and I've never had a bad meal here. The menu has plenty of choices. It's one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to, with excellent service. I highly recommend the papaya salad as a starter.

They really need to address the curb appeal for starters. We thought it had closed down when we approached. It looks dark and dingy from the outside with filthy windows covered in cobwebs. Inside could also do with a spruce up…dated old, dusty decor and sticky tables. The food is excellent, but extremely overpriced. In fact, the food was so good but the dining in was so bleak, we opted for a take away instead the week after our visit. This was not as good and we were horrified that they made us pay extra for crackers…come on now…all Chinese/Thai takeaways now give complimentary crackers. We won’t come again and instead use our regular Thai in Walton…where they value their customers by not charging for crackers!

We visited on a Friday, the restaurant was nicely decorated and we had a lovely table. We were greeted by a very sweet and enthusiastic waitress. The wine was well priced and nice, the food came quickly and was extremely well presented and delicious. There was no service charge added to the bill (despite excellent service) so we were more than happy to tip. Highly recommend - great food, great service and excellent value.

Good food. Price wise.. a bit expensive but worth it.

The restaurant does have good vibes, and the food tastes authentic. The only reason that it only gets 4* is the food temperature; when we had the curry, the dishes were just lukewarm. It’s a bit disappointing. The sticky rice was also slightly warmer than room temperature. It’s a shame because the staff was really friendly, I hope the kitchen could serve the food quicker from the kitchen!

Popped in for dinner after visiting Hampton Court after a journey from Brighton. They very kindly allowed us a table without booking, even though they had a busy Mother’s Day cover. It was a really special experience as the food was delicious and well presented. The staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. There was attention to detail in all areas. It couldn’t have been any better! I would fully recommend. Thank you for making it a special Mother’s Day for me too!

Sent two dishes back because it was literally cold, then they started complaining and arguing with us that it’s not their fault. Turns out we got food poisoning for two days haha good luck to anyone who eats here. Very disappointed because the reviews were very good here.

Came as a large group of 12 and have to say loved the food, service was really good and had a really nice atmosphere - would highly recommend!

This is a lovely local restaurant near Hampton Court Station. We have visited a couple of times for dinner, there is a good range of options on the menu and the food is delicious. So far, we have enjoyed the beef green curry, masaman curry, duck spring rolls and red chicken curry. The staff are friendly and service is quick. This is a great option if you are looking for unch or dinner somewhere local.

Used to eat here all the time, just ordered a soup from them that was completely inedible...I won't ever go or order from here again.

You are always sure of a lovely meal here great ambience, fantastic value and quality. Most of all really kind and friendly staff who make you feel so welcome.

Es gibt hier einige Lokale auf engen Raum. Dieses Lokal wurde unsere Wahl. Wir bestellten uns die Tamarind Duck ( sehr süß), und die Drunken Duck. Beide je 13.95£.Dazu Nudeln 7.95£ und Reis 4.50£. Das Essen war soweit in Ordnung. Das Bier, ein Singha large 8£ sehr teuer! Insgesamt in Ordnung, für einen zweiten Besuch reicht es leider nicht.

We arrived quite late and didn't have a booking so we were not sure if they would still be taking orders. They let me and my husband in and the service was wonderful as well as the food. We will definitely be coming back.

This is a very good restaurant. The service and food are both excellent. I would recommend the Satay Chicken for starters. Pad Thai is very good. We have been disappointed with other nearby Thai restaurants so this is our goto Thai now

Far too bright. Spoilt the evening.

Had the set menu which was delicious, had to bring it home. Our eyes were too big for our stomachs. Had a lovely reheated lunch the next day. We will be back soon!

We've been a dozen times or so since 2016. It's always just about OK, but truly very average indeed. The main menu can get expensive so you feel fleeced for such uninspiring food, but the set lunch you can stomach. I was told years ago they have shrimp paste already in their curry mix (plenty on the market eliminating this!), so have only been able to order a stir fry. But now meet a new issue - they use the same oil to fry the tofu etc, as they do meat & fish. So all food is tarnished. Why can't they get another pan / cooking station? Really it's not hard. Meanwhile, if you're vegetarian or vegan then stay away.

Worst Asian restaurant I have ever visited. The presentation of the food was very disappointing and I was really taken aback when it arrived which was noticed by the waitress. Furthermore, every one of my unappetising dishes was cold. The meat and pancakes were reheated but still not hot. However, instead of sending it straight back, I ate it and was charged a higher than average london price. Most restaurants would have acknowledged my complaint and given a discount. If you like Thai food don’t go there.

Excellent service and quality. Felt very welcomed and attended to from the moment we walked in. Thai green curry was lovely.

Stopped in here while in the area and enjoyed a nice relaxing lunch - good experience with both food and service. Tried dumplings, spring rolls, pad thai and Thai Basil beef - everything was delicious. I do prefer my Thai very spicy and it was on the mild side but they were so nice when I asked for a little extra spice they brought be a chili oil and another spicy condiment that were perfect. People very nice, efficient, fair price and good wine as well

We really enjoyed the food and service. The only reason for not giving the restaurant 5 Stars is because all their rubbish / cleaning equipment / random restaurant stuff was out on display on the testing floor, by the toilets entrance. If I was to post a photo of this area, no one would want to visit this restaurant. (A polite reminder to the owner - no one wants to see your back-of-house stuff on the restaurant floor - kindly sort it out)

An absolute favourite in the Elmbridge area. Lovely staff, great service and marvellous Thai flavours throughout the menu.

We enjoyed our dinner here. The flavours were good albeit the dishes we tried were not really authentic Thai (e.g. lacking chilli heat and no baby or pea aubergine in the green curry).

Made us wait 25 minutes to just oder food. No acknowledgement from the staff. When the male waiter finally came, he didn’t even apologise for the wait, very disappointing. I saw other customers leaving because they were fed up of waiting, the restaurant was operating at maximum 30% only! The food quality is ok. But I wouldn’t pay the service charge at all!

Highly disappointed with the poor quality and expensive takeaway. The Tom Yum soup had two prawns and the Tom Kha Gai had a few piece of cold chicken in coconut milk, along with a shared starter platter it was all was barely warm. With a total cost of nearly £30 I would avoid ordering from here. A terrible order and would not recommend.

I have to say, I'm usually not the biggest thai food fan but this restaurant has become a family favourite. I've never had a bad dish here, whether that be take away or dining in. Food is on-point every time. Dine-in experience is also typically great with really nice interior and very friendly staff. Would 100% recommend if you want something that is guaranteed to please.

Tasty food and good value for money, shame it was so empty when we visited!

The lunchtime meal deal is the best value locally, and delicious. The owners and service is lovely. Everything else is comparitivly minor detail, upgrading my review from 4 to 5 stars.

Ordered a takeaway of duck spring rolls and yellow chicken curry. For £7.50 you get one big spring roll, I would have expected double the amount for that price. The flavour of the roll was nice, but the hoisin dip tasted off. The yellow curry had a lovely flavour, however there was hardly any chicken or vegetables in there, it’s mostly sauce. The food is good, but the value for money is terrible. I will be trying somewhere else next time. It’s a shame, it could have been great.

Restaurant is very clean and at the nice location. I usually like the food. But yesterday, i found the food was ok. I am a vegetarian and they cook everything in fish sauce. So this was an issue. But the restaurant management is very nice and I hope they will improve their food quality and try to bring Vegan/Vegetarian option without fish sauce.

Lunch for six from the special lunch menu. Excellent value, great food and charming service. What more could you wish for.

Very nice food, fair prices, fair if not ever so slightly on the small side portion sizes, above excellent service, had a variety of food with my girlfriend and family which all tasted brilliant, my only criticism is that we didn’t have more, will be returning this place was excellent, left very happy

The best thai green curry I have ever eaten was from this restaurant , me and my partner were so happy that we decided to try something else to so we had spicy noodles that were also very delicious.

My partner and I have often visited this restaurant for lunch but we haven't previously used it during lockdown. We noticed a sign in the window for a lunchbox menu and decided to try it. Due to the superb value it represents, they are only offering this menu on Friday and Saturday lunchtime. If you like Thai food you will love this food. Generally I find that takeaway food doesn't match up to eat in, but, this is the exception. Chicken satay starters, two skewers with a pot of peanut sauce. We then had a chicken pad thai and a chicken Thai green curry. Portion size was great and the taste was superb. They are offering the lunchbox menu for valentine's day so do yourselves a favour and grab it with both hands!

Ordered a delivery as we couldn’t eat in due to lockdown. Flavours seemed good but tainted by the fact that the delivery was late and the food lukewarm at best. Meal was expensive for what it was.

This restaurant’s food is delicious. I have my favourite dish, but any dish we’ve ever ordered here for take away or sit town has been really tasty and more-ish. A real gem

We ate there on a quiet Thursday evening just after the second lock-down. The food was uniformly excellent and the service was friendly and prompt. The only criticim was that the restaurant could have been warmer initially, but it improve gradually during our meal. The door didn't always fully close, but this could be easily fixed.

Today we order £65 food and for delivery due to lock down. Had the worst Tom yum soup ever, is like dish water.. green and red curry also very watering , is not a proper curry, dosen't tastes any thai spice at all. Pad Thai beef noodles with very dark dry beef, noodle no flavor. Myself eat many thai food and this is the wrost thai food I never had。 My boyfriend is local English, even himself said is dishwasher food when he hardly had before..the rest is dry and watering.. We never order this place again. Only things is like thai food is sticky rice. Qhat a waste on money and time, so so disappointed.

Three of us visited on a Thursday night. This is my honest opinion. It's never a good thing when you walk into a restaurant and you're the only 3 people in the place apart from two people in the corner. Lovely looking restaurant in an amazing position in sight of Hampton Court bridge. Unfortunately that is where the amazing ends. I will talk about what I had. Two Thai classics - Tom yum soup and Green curry. The soup costing nearly £7 was in a tiny bowl, was way too salty and had hardly any garnish. It had a few bits of lemongrass at the bottom and two pieces of bog standard button mushroom floating at the top along with the prawns and a couple of bits of coriander. It was a very bad effort for Tom Yum soup. The Thai green curry was not even green, the sauce was a dull brown and seemed to be a standard curry sauce served to all that night that had flavour but was far from where it should have been. Very little garnish at all and again a few specs of coriander. The prawns were lovely. I have been a chef for 30 years. I cook Thai food that makes this look very basic. I am only leaving this review in the hope that the people that own this restaurant have a chance to understand what is being served. There is no reason why this restaurant should be empty, it's time to spend some money on your food and start getting customers back into this lovely restaurant. It's not difficult to cook amazing Thai food !! Please do not keep cutting back on the food because that will lead to eventuall closure. Seen it too many times before.

Disappointing. Good and friendly service but let down by the relatively bland food. Also told that it wasn't in the Help Out Eat Out scheme but there were two signs in the window for the scheme.

So good to see our local Thai restaurant open again after lockdown. We had a delicious supper and the restaurant felt very clean and safe. Service so friendly and food fresh and very tasty.

This place has good food but is in desperate need of re-decoration. Very tired and worn looking interior.

This was our second visit bringing friends to try this restaurant as we loved it so much the first time.It's a gorgeous restaurant with really lovely staff who are attentive and helpful with a bubbly atmosphere.The food is incredible. It's fresh and flavorsome with lots of lovely dishes to choose from. I recommend the mixed platter to start and the weeping tiger and chilli prawns for main.I definitely recommend this place, it's 100% worth a visit!

23 November Saturday 12:30 lunch for four (4) adults ordering off the prixe fix set menu. Each had a starter and main, no deserts. Pad Thai was very good, coconut Thom Kha soup very good, spring rolls average, Gang sub was excellent flavor. Food was good but not outstanding. Very good value for money, excellent service (as we were only table at early lunch hour). Recommended.

My mother and I have been coming here for a few years and often bring friends. We are quite spoiled for choice of restaurants on the same road but come here at least once per month. Everyone that has joined us have commented on the excellent quality. My favourite dish is ‘sea food on fire’ which features seasonally available sea food which is comparable in quality and authenticity to any Central London Mayfair Asian restaurant... as are all the other dishes that we have tried. We do enjoy our chats with the chef when he brings the dishes to our table... he is quite a character!! A real authentic ‘family run feel’ Thai restaurant.

I often plump for the mixed seafood thai curry - delicious! They do some lovely thai dishes and are excellent value.

We had been before a few times to the restaurant however it's been over five years. Outstanding meal I had prawns, Sue had chicken our friends also had prawns. For main two of us had red Thai curry, Sue had prawn curry, unable to remember what Matt had. we all had the Thai beer. Great service and the staff made sure we go our food on time. ell be coming back soon

Certainly one of the better Thai restaurants in the area. The food is fresh, well prepared and very tasty. Bookings are not essential, but it gets quite busy, which means you might have a wait at your table. Menu recommendations are: Thai fishcake starters and green curry main. The staff are super friendly, but as mentioned, it gets busy so the wait between being seated, having your order taken and getting your food can be 30 minutes or thereabouts.

LOVED my tofu and aubergine stir fry. The coconut rice was divine. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing and the staff really friendly and accomodating. Thoroughly recommend
