The best restaurants serving Thai food in South East

Had the ginger chicken and basil chicken, both meals excellent!! Rice was also. The sauces made the meal! Best Thai food we have had in a long time

My friend arranged a meal for us for a catch up. Never been to the Giggling Squid but love Thai food and also heard good reviews. Well I was not disappointed! The service was excellent and the food was so beautiful, I will definitely be returning with my husband!! High recommend this little gem!

Great restaurant. Felt authentic. Great food and warm service. I had chicken satay to start and Pad see ew for main. Would recommend both.

Not sure what's going on at Menu Thai right now as I seem to be running into issues with them actually picking up the phone to take orders. I really like this restaurant, but this is really testing one's loyality...

Love this restaurant. Starters and mains very generous but also very tasty. The service was perfectly timed by a lovely, friendly guy.(sorry, didn't get his name) Restaurant itself is very basic but don't let this put you off, the food is amazing, lucky to have this in ryde,we will be regulars.

So sad that this once great takeaway place delivered us some of the most depressing food I’ve ever been confronted with. An expensive mistake

If you are vegetarian like I am don’t bother going here! They label dishes on the menu as Vegetarian. I proceeded to order a starter and a main only to be told they use shrimp paste in the sauce for one and that it was best not to have the starter because it would be “contaminated” (in the words of the waitress) by oil containing fish based ingredients. That just inspired little confidence that any of the dishes were actually vegetarian. They stir fried some veg for me in ginger and soy - I could have made that at home. Hugely disappointed and made that clear to them.

We had a family Christening for my Great Granddaughter Raven and the Hussar was perfect plenty of room for everyone and a lovely big play area for the young children to play which they did and enjoyed every minute of fun and plenty of seating for most. We all had a lovely time thank you. 😊

The restaurant is extremely cozy, the food is incredible, during the days we were in Canterbury we went every day. We love Tom Yum soup

Food and service were good but the portions were a bit small

The Thai lounge is a must visit. The lovely relaxed atmosphere, tasty dishes & brilliant cocktails make it all such a lovely experience! Our personal favourite dish is NEUA YANG- The steak is cooked to perfection and the vegetables with it are so tasty! We also love the Massaman curry!!!! The staff are all so friendly and helpful with advice on the dishes and can offer some great recommendations! Thank you for being such a favourite place of ours to be! :)

Just had an appalling delivery from River Kwai! Sweetcorn fritters which appeared to be microwaved! As they were soggy and lucky if I found one sweetcorn in them! The pad Thai which is a popular dish, equally not fresh and was bland! A slither of spring onion couple of strands of bean sprouts and very little else! Flavourless! This has to date been the worst Thai I’ve ever had! Will avoid you from here on in for this reason! Where is your quality control! That order was not fit for anyone!
