Bombay Spice in Wealden

I went inside to collect my food and order and waited inside... when I got home and tried it I have to say it's the best Indian food I have ever had you can tell it's really been cooked properly and the ingredients have been really thought about. Highly recommend!

First time going here and very impressed! My order was fresh, really tasty and £8 cheaper than Curry inn round the corner!! Defo going back 😋

Just phoned up to make an order but unfortunately the lady who answered was very rude, huffing down the phone at me and then refused to tell me what cans of soft drinks they sell! I cancelled the order and will not phone again. Very off putting.

Just had a very delicious meal from Bombay Spice, and on Christmas Day too! We thought everywhere would be closed, but luckily we found Bombay Spice was open! We had an emergency this morning which changed our plans. After a very long day we were really hungry and in need of a warm meal. They delivered quickly and we were very impressed with everything! Will definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend ! Thank you !!

I live eight miles away in a town called Uckfield which is too far for delivery. this does not stop me driving 20 minutes to get here to get a great dinner. I know it's a bit sad, but I tend to only have the Chicken Tikka Masala, but it is the best Chicken Tikka Masala I have EVER had. Coconutty, sweet, bright red, the chicken tender. The naans are great, lovely and fluffy. The side dishes are great, I love the sag dishes, and they are really tasty.

Really good vegetarian meal delivered in good time. Delicious! We will definitely order again

Ordered takeaway 29th April! No salad delivered but ordered!lamb tikka Like rubber.....definitely not edible....went in the bin....Chicken tikka with madras sauce ......miserable!!!!!!! Not worth the money you pay for it! Heathfield resident who supports our local shops but this was rubbish.

It took the best part of two hours for a small selection of dishes to be prepared & delivered the three miles, including us ringing them twice, the last time to be told at 20.18 it would be with us in 15 minutes, the meal turning up 30 minutes later when the driver rang us & we talked him in (apparently the boss gave him the wrong directions & no GPS). Tasty curry, but my wife was violently sick that night. The only dish we hadn't shared was her prawn puri.

Order Indian for the family.. Was told 45mins-1hour.. It arrived just after an hour, but 2 main times were missing, rung up to complain and was just told will send it when driver is back! Waited nearly half an hour for it to arrive. So all the family had eaten while I had to wait for mine!! No apologies given or anything.. Rather disappointed after using bombay Spice for the past 4 years!! Although the food is very nice but order was incomplete!!

Brilliant Curry really nice flavor as well as having some different dishes that you don't see on every indian menu. They have more vegetarian options then the other indians in this area. Shame they don't use seitan and other meat replacement to provide even more options.

Food was expensive for the quality. The delivery charge was different to that advertised. I have to say that I won't be going back.

Definitely avoid!!! Food was missing and when I phoned up the woman was rude and hung up on me. Also the delivery guy smelt like B.O .

After not having an Indian takeaway for quite a while, suddenly had a real craving. Our meal certainly satisfied that. Good portions, tastes fresh and flavoursome, and not at all oily like so many are. Good value for money. Did have to wait a little while longer than they said but quite happy to. Could tell they were rushed off their feet with many deliveries and understand the pressure they are under. All lovely people in there.

We ordered our takeaway last night @ 8pm, and were informed it’d be an hour. I arrived @ 9pm and waited in the reception area. Very untidy and unhygienic! Dirty table, piles of paper work and children's toys and cups on the floor! Immediately I was unsure! When I asked if the food was ready, I was told it’d be 10 mins. I went to the shops and returned, still not ready! I asked again and was told ten minutes more! Thirty minutes standing with a mask on-feeling claustrophobic and still no food! When it was ready they apologised, and informed us they had given us extra plain rice and popadoms! I ran through the order, as wanted to check after 1.5 hours of waiting we had the correct food. I returned home and we were missing a side and two nan (slightly disappointing) 1.5 hours wait! £67 and then items missing! We will not be returning! Very disappointing!

We had a delivery of chicken tikka masala, chicken dhansak, sag paneer and pilau rice - it was the delicious, plenty of spices and not greasy at all. We will definitely be ordering from there again

Ordered at 9 and still waiting at 22:22 absolutely disgusting service rang the shop to get abuse from the lady who answered the phone and for her say it it would be with us in 35mins really! Won’t be going back!!

2nd time that we have ordered from here. The first time I was disappointed but my husband enjoyed, so I decided to try something different this time but my husband had the same. Took over 1 hour and 20 to receive and when we did was as bland as the first time including my husbands. Will never use again

We received a beautiful take away from Bombay spice on Saturday night. It was a speedy delivery and the food was absolutely amazing! We will defiantly be returning customers :)

Three of us had different main courses - tasty, thick sauces and not oily as we have found in other places. We all enjoyed our meals and will be back.

For the second time we had a delivery from this restaurant, charge £4, cheaper than the Chinese. Charge because we live several miles away in a village. This time we had a set menu for two. Well it could have fed three easily. Every dish we have had so far has been goo, far better than most delivery food from restaurants. It has been hot and not just a few chunks of meat thrown in a tinned sauce. They have an interesting menu. Good flavours, well spiced. Excellent quality. We recommend this restaurant though we have not eaten in house.

I eat a lot of curry. Historically curry houses in Heathfield have first wooed me & then disappointed. I hadn’t used Bombay Spice much until 2017 but after recommendation from the Post Office of all places I started ordering from them & have never been let down. Meat dishes cooked fresh so take a few more minutes. The strength of sauces are reliable compared to some others in the town where it can be a game of Russian roulette between marshmallow bland to metal dissolving nuclear options depending on which chef is working. Not a problem at Bombay Spice. My go-to meal is Chicken Tikka Dhansak which is just hot enough & appropriately sweet. We have also had chicken tikka & made our own raita. You get loads of meat; one main & one starter feels adequate for two people. They will deliver over a certain spend & have a good computerised till system which recognises telephone numbers reducing the risk of errors in order. VFM: Chicken Tikka main Chicken Tikka Dhansak Pilau rice £14.95. If we’d ordered 5p more we would have had a 10% discount collected!

Having used Bombay Spice for many years, I am very sad to say, the individual who took my call tonight was beyond rude...I will NOT use them again... sadly.

This was by far the worst Indian I have ever had. Me and my friends were having a night in and ordered a few choices from the menu to which all came very mushy and very watery with no flavour at all and arrived stone cold. When ringing up to tell them this they quickly rejected us telling me it wasn’t a problem. This is poor customer service and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone!!!! Stay away!!!

Six of us got a takeaway from here whilst camping locally. It was a large order, all of which was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It was also lovely to see some really different and unusual dishes on the menu. The prices were extremely reasonable too. Would definitely use again and would thoroughly recommend.

We had a curry 3 weeks ago and where not over impressed. We thought we would give them another try.Both our dishes tasted the same and where bland lacking spice very glutinous and oily. Wont be going back.

First time to this Indian and will definitely be my last. Initially tried finding a menu online in which we couldn't locate one. Phoned up to ask if their was a website and the rude woman hung up on us. Phoned back and ordered the food only to be told that they didn't know how much it all came to?!?! Was initially told it would be 20 mins....then 40 but was more like an hour. Whilst in there I witnessed countless people ringing up demanding to know where their food was. Both our dishes were bland and lacked substance. I'd rather have a curry from Asda to be honest. From an avid curry eater anyone reading this DO NOT GO HERE!

This has always been my fave` for curry take-out, note this is a take-out indian only, however on last few trips food has got very greasy, infact soon after owner suffered a family tragedy this restaurant has also started to suffer, shame as staff are very friendly & food was high standard & very reasonable, but I think a new chef has started as standards have dropped!

We only discovered this takeaway recently but have already had 4 meals from here. The food is delicious and piping hot, and the portions are generous.We have used their delivery service twice and the delivery has always arrived in the time span given when ordering (no mean feat as we live well and truly in the sticks). We have had the same delivery man on both occasions and he always nice and cheery! I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Bombay Spice!

My son wanted a dish not on the menu (salmon tikka) the chef said that he would cook the dish and hoped he would like it as had not been asked for this dish before. The dish was in my sons words (sick!) Which apperantly mean very nice! The service was really friendly and food was served really fast even through it was saturday night and really busy. We will be reordering from you again.

Absolutely fabulous dishes every time and at a very reasonable price. Dhansak in particular is a favourite, but many dishes have been tried and all are exceptional. My family and friends travel from Tunbridge wells to visit us in Heathfield - just for the Bombay Spice curry! Excellent and friendly desk service and delivery guys. Broad selection available on the menu, which caters for all taste. Would not go anywhere else - thank you. Our compliments to the Chef!

Yo realmente no entiendo por qué quitar propietarios que dan básicamente cebolla en salsa lo que pides, no entiendo por qué no regresaría. Seguramente, me dan una calidad de comida y que vuelva. Simple economía y servicio al cliente.

Sadly our favourite takeway has lost the plot! They WERE the only delivery service in Heathfield who could be trusted to deliver what you ordered. Unfortunately not any more. Shame as the food is nice. We won't order from them again. I am also fed up with being called "sweetheart" by the delivery guy, who given his recent behaviour when the order was wrong, clearly isn't as fond of me as his nickname for me would imply!

Recently we me and my partner moved to Heathfield. Thought we would try the local indian.. but as there are a few so we looked at reviews and decided on Bombay Spice...and I am glad we did. As a regular customer for a number of years now I can say that this is the best curry house take away for miles. Always quality ingredients with a great variety on the menu. Something for everyone. Friendly staff and excellent deliveries on time.

The best curry in Heathfield, excellent customer service and very friendly and quick delivery service even on weekends.

We have always had our Indian takeaways from either Junnaki (before it turned into Dominos!) or Mr India...and wow what a difference!! Prompt, friendly delivery within 30 minutes of ordering, on a Saturday night, and the food was so so much better than Mr India...a real surprise!! Couldn't recommend this place enough for a really good and reasonably priced Indian takeaway.

I have patronised all the restaurants and takeaways in Heathfield at one time or another. In my opinion, Bombay Spice offer top quality, delicious, freshly prepared food at good prices and at the moment I would never go elsewhere for an Indian takeaway. Their food is tasty, well spiced, well cooked and, importantly, fresh. (In some Indian places the food smells stale).We have tried most of the curry and tandoori dishes available from here over a long time and are always pleased with our selections. The portions are good and the prices are fair. One or two of the side dishes can be under-done at times though, such as samosas and that kind of thing. I recommend that you try Bombay Spice and taste for yourself how good the food is.

We've used them three times now. Great, tasty curries each time, deliver exactly what we've ordered, freshly cooked, prompt delivery. Our only criticism is that a couple of the mild dishes taste a little bland, but the lamb curries in particular are delicious.

Thought we would try here as our normal curry house ( rasoi) has closed. Ordered 5 different chicken curries. The chicken was undercooked , the sources were runny, the flavour was inadequate. The rice was fine. ( hard to get wrong I think!) . Will be going elsewhere in future.

Bombay Spice is a very good take-away curry house. We had tandoori chicken for starters. Each portion is two chicken legs with onion and salad/yoghurt dressing. The chicken is succulent and tasty.We also ordered lamb tikka sag and lamb dopiaza, cauliflower bhaji, two pilau rices and a garlic naan. It was reasonably priced and came to under £30.It was more than enough for one meal and in fact we had a substantial lunch the following day where it tasted even better. Worth trying!

We always tend to use here for our takeaways as a good blend of quality, service & price.Never had a bad meal they always are very good, good Vegetarian selection on the menu as well.Does get very busy on weekend nights so be prepared to wait 30-45 mins for delivery,

Ease of ordering on-line, quick delivery, and an excellent meal! Opted for the special menu, and it was delicious, can honestly say one of the best I have ever had!

We move here a few months back and have been struggling to find a good take away curry place. Lots of people recommended other places in Heathfield but none met our expectations till we tried Bombay Spice.The menu is extensive and offers some interesting choices but the basic dishes are all there too and very well made. My chicken biryani was very good and the onion bhaji was also up to scratch. The shop front and internet site don't really show them in their best light, so don't be put off, I am very choosy about my curry and am looking forwards to my next order.

Perfect meal brought quickly and efficiently, and they went out of their way to make my order easier.

Don't be put off by the simple store front, this take-away has hidden depths. We have used Bombay Spice many times and its always consistently good. The Ragda Patties and the Chicken Chettinad are my personal favourites but its all good.

Lovely food, with an excellent choice of dishes. Always freshly cooked, hot and delivered! What more can you ask for?

Even though these guys don't have mango lassi in the menu, they made it for us on the spot and it was delicious. And sag paneer was really tasty as well!
