Truly delicious Sunday roast served with an amazing selection of veg- the creamed leeks were fabulous! Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble ❤️ Would highly recommend this pub for food and can't wait to return.

Very comfortable double/king room, fairly quirky. Friendly staff, good service with the best breakfast - locally sourced & freshly cooked to perfection. Slight issue with payment promise but rectified promptly with Lainey. Much appreciated. We'll be back :)

If you like your pub food especially meat eaters, this place is a must! 4 of us visited for New Year’s Day and I had a burger followed by treacle tart, whilst my Husband had the ribs. Our Friends had ribs and chicken wings. Both my Husband and his friend said “the best ribs they’ve ever had!” The portions are generous, food was delicious and brilliant service with a smile. Really made to feel welcome by all staff. Only problem was what to choose as so many yummy choices. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes here!

We had a fantastic family meal with great service. We were only visiting the area briefly but made to feel extremely welcome. The food was exciting as a variety of very different dishes were on offer. This meant that the experience was more like a tasting experience than just the usual boring fayre offered by many other pubs. It was also good value. I would definitely recommend it if you want great food and a friendly pub.

Food ok but £50 for 2 us having just a main course and a drink is very expensive Seems gone are days when went to the pub for a reasonably priced meeal.

My partner and I popped in for a Sunday roast a couple of weeks ago (we live an hour and an half away but stopped off on our way back from a night away) and it was honestly THE best roasts we’ve eaten out in a long, long time! The beef was cooked to perfection as was the lamb - it was just amazing, we both cleared our plates! Hats off to the chef, I think his name was Peter! The staff were all super friendly, the lady with blonde hair on the bar and waitressing was so helpful, she went completely out of her way to make our visit so enjoyable! The owners were enjoying a Sunday roast too and they were just the loveliest people - you’ve done such a good job! We will definitely be back again soon - maybe with a stay in one of your rooms next time! You’ve got yourself some new regulars, it’s definitely worth the drive! X

This pub restaurant is set in the pretty village of Hurstpierpoint. Interior is traditional with a cosy atmosphere. Unfortunately the latest menu was rather limited especially if you don’t like Mexican type food. We opted for steaks which were not priced on the menu and when asked a member of staff was reluctant to tell us, we had to insist on a price before ordering. When the steaks arrived they were very small in relation to the price and they weren’t particularly tasty, overall the meal was quite bland. One of our party had a cocktail costing £10.00 which sounded nice on the menu but in reality it was awful and undrinkable. The staff who served us were polite but there seemed to be confusion over the meals, they arrived at the table at different times despite us ordering in advance.We have eaten here previously for a birthday celebration and found it enjoyable and good value. It’s a shame that the standards appear to have dropped.

My partner and I visited this pub whilst staying in Hutstpierpoint. The staff, Katie and Harvey were exceptional!! Lovely, friendly and the chef was amazing!! If you are ever in Hutstpierpoint, Sussex, please visit this pub, you will not be disappointed.

We booked a table for 7 at very short notice. Although they were short-staffed because of sickness the service was very pleasant. The food was excellent. The meals were well designed and cooked extremely well. Well done!

I’m delighted to report that I’ve just experienced one of my nicest Sunday roasts for a very long time. I revisited the Horse Inn in Hurstpierpoint village along with my two children 6 & 10, my wife and elderly mother. I hadn’t eaten in here for over 15 years and I wasn’t disappointed. On arrival we were met by a cheerful smile and taken to our table by the new manager Vicki. The children had their drinks served promptly and we all ordered various different dishes from their Sunday menu. We had two different roasts and these were served with a side of cauliflower cheese. The rib eye of beef (pic) was delightful and cooked to perfection for my liking. The lamb fell off the leg of the other roast and tbh it was as good as I’ve ever had. The children went on to have ice cream and the point of my review was nothing was too much trouble. Thank you The Horse Inn - you will certainly see us again! I’m looking forward to the Christmas Turkey!!

We came here after being badly let down by The Sportsman at Goddards Green. Service was friendly and welcoming. Nice atmosphere. The food came in a timely manner and was obviously home made (home made pies, proper joints of meat for the roast, lovely burger) and came with a good selection of veg - including cauliflower cheese. Good place to eat and friendly service

Had to double check this was the same place as the other reviews as our food bore no resemblance to the photos on this site. Went for Sunday lunch, however given the heat wave a roast seemed inappropriate, unfortunately there was little else on offer. Chose the burger which was mediocre, overall quite dry, and served with cold skinny fries. The other option, scampi, was basic frozen scampi with the same skinny fries. Tartare sauce had to be requested. Basic chain pub fare. My main complaint however was that the front/side outdoor area where we sat was absolutely filthy with hundreds (no exaggeration) of cigarettes butts. All over the floor, multiple piles on the little side walls near our seating, and even in all of the wire light contraptions in the centre of the tables. This area had clearly not been cleaned for some time. Quite disgusting and a reflection of the lack of care. Staff were nice, but not outstanding.

Relaxed dining here with friendly, attentive staff who certainly seemed keen to create a good impression. We opted for a traditional roast as main courses and they did not disappoint. The shared starter was very tasty too. Plenty of areas to dine and the suggestion of a visit to the gin bar was a tempting one if we had not had a country walk to do later.

Went here for lunch today - loved the new decor and the tapas was great. Really delicious crayfish Mac and cheese, lemon chicken and salt and pepper squid. Super service too. Definitely recommend.

Wow what a gem. Fabulous food, highly recommend the pies. Team were polite and super helpful. Will definitely return , need to find a local walk to burn off the pie 😀

Really good value Sunday lunch in a relaxed venue. Good to see the old pub full and thriving. Only negative was our waitress, who appeared to be new and got several things wrong with our order.

A revisit to this pub after many years, all revamped and looks gorgeous. The food was great, we ate in the bar not the restaurant end. Next time will try the new gin bar!

This pub had a lot of money spent on it immediately before lockdown, and was just getting going when it had to stop. Pleased to say that it is getting going again. Employees are local and known to many of the clientele. Food is simple, not cheap, but nothing is cheap in Hurstpierpoint. Beer, Harvey's is excellent, other beers are available if you think you need them. But, the best thing about this pub is the marquee and the football. Last night's epic win against Germany had the best atmosphere I've ever felt watching football outside a stadium. The marquee is laid out like a German beer festival and the work to keep customers lubricated was appreciated by all. Best pub in the village by a distance now.

After years of needing it, the new owners, managers, or whatever they are, have done a good job of doing the place up. The public bar looks like an American diner, it's nearly unrecognisable, but inviting. There was a real buzz there last night, lots...

Called in around 6.30 on our way home. Very friendly and found us a table whilst they went to make sure the kitchen was still open. Although they had been very busy they made us up two smashing roast dinners very quickly. Very tasty indeed.

On the main road through the cute village of Hurstpierpoint this newly renovated pub and B&B has 4 lovely rooms. The new owners Tim and Lainey are both absolutely delightful and have put a lot of effort and thought into the renovation. Small things like a nespresso machine, a jar of cookies in the room, usb charging points in the plug socket and thick, soft towels and bath mats really make all the difference. The bed was comfortable and despite a small window it was lovely and bright. There are plenty of plug points and the WiFi is good. The room was spotlessly clean. If I wanted to complain about anything - I don’t think I could. Jack who was in the bar when I arrived gave me a warm welcome with ‘hi you must be Janet’ as I walked through the door. Hey gave me fresh milk and took my case to my room. The rooms have continental breakfast included which is served in the restaurant. I didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening but my friend - who I was visiting told me it is good. I would definitely stay here again.

Went here twice in one week for the seitan steak! Never had one at a pub before and was delicious. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the tomato and red pepper sauce goes great with the steak! The burger my partner had the first time was also really nice. Just hope they continue to serve these great vegan options as we plan to return many more times. Also hoping they might add to their vegan dessert options too

We were travelling from Manchester and needed a suitable place to stay overnightand we were recommended. We booked by telephone and it was a small pleasant place with just a few bedrooms and an adjoining pub. The owners were extremely pleasant and accommodating and the room though small contained an en suite and tv and was comfortable. We ordered breakfast for the morning and served in a brightly decorated room.Would recommend to anyone travelling to the village or nearby.

Thought we’d give this place a try after a recommendation, I can’t fault the waiting staff very nice warm and welcoming. However the food although in massive portions, it just didn’t stack up for us. I am only leaving this review to be constructive and hope it is seen in such a light. My food parts were burnt and other bits under cooked a real disappointment for us after it did come recommend. The others in our party also had the same issues with food being in part over or under cooked.

1st visit to this pub it has good reviews and after my visit well deserved . The staff were so friendly and explained the menu choices. It is very nicely decorated and warm and welcoming.I had padron peppers to start anyone who has eaten tapas in Spain will know how lovely they are these were as good.I then went Roast beef,it was a large portion and all freshly cooked a nice range of veg on the side.I will definitely go again and I would without hesitation recommend this pub .

I, my wife and two children stayed here for two nights in the pub's newly renovated rooms and we enjoyed it very much. The rooms were spotless and comfortable with coffee and tea machines, biscuits and water and good shower rooms. Service was friendly and welcoming and breakfasts were hearty and delicious.

Perfect location and within walking distance of the Holy Trinity Church, with parking included it meant we had no problem getting to the church on time. A very warm welcome from Lainey and Tim and throughout our stay - we were very well looked after. Beautiful and considerate accommodation in our ensuite rooms. I thoroughly recommend.

Wow wow wow!! Do not be deceived by the outside. This is truly the hidden Gem in Sussex! Called to book a table for two explained that My friend is disabled and may not be able to walk too far . The manageress offered to arrange for one of her staff to move their car if needed (what a kind gesture). On arrival the staff were approachable with massive smiles on theur faces showed us to our table which may I add was beautifully set and the resteurant had a warm atmosphere....Now!! I chose the Lamb and my friend the beef .. accompanied by veg and cauilflour cheese .. which was YUM. The roast is the best I have in Sussex and has change my French friends opinion of English cuisine so well done to the chef !!! Desserts were to die for .. the treacle sponge OMG! And all for a decent price worth every penny!!All in all fantastic experience we truly recommend this little gem. Merci- to all the team at the Whitehorse Inn Pascal & Sara

I sympathise with the plight of rural pubs, especially on a quiet midweek lunchtime, but .....the beer from the local Hurstpierpoint brewery was the only good thing about our visiit, as the food was a real disappointment. When you are paying around the £15 to £16 for a main course, you should get more than microwaved meals and dry oven chips. If we'd been charged a few pounds less I wouldn't be grumbling.My (frozen) battered fish was quite unpleasant and instead of the advertised mushy peas I got a bit of iceberg lettuce and a couple of slices of tomato, and the tartare sauce had to be requested as an extra.Not somewhere we will be rushing back to.

Popped in on the way home from the station. Early evening (had the kids with us) friendly atmosphere, fire roaring. Tried the homemade stake+ale, chicken + ham pie both lovely with nice veg. Kids had chicken nuggets and pizza. Service was fab and we were in and out within the 90 mins perfect.

The outside of this pub doesn't flatter it, but inside it's lovely with a classy dining area set away from the bar. It was really quiet for our lunchtime visit, hope it's busier in the evenings because the food is great.The menu is large and varied with a seperate menu for vegetarians/vegans. The food here is very good, although maybe slightly small portion-wise. I had a nut roast which filled a gap nicely, although it could have done with maybe some vegetables to go with it. The presentation and flavours were very good. The service and overall experience were great, and it's definitely somewhere I'd be inclined to revisit. The biggest drawback was that service was automatically added to the bill despite us only being a party of two. I feel this is always poor form.

the food was very well presented and I had a 3 course meal for £30 which i thought was expensive but it had good reviews. the starter was fine however the main course had very limited vegtables and the potatoes were covered in black pepper to the point I was asked if i needed some water! the desert was beautifully presented but tasted really bitter.We were a big party so to an extent you could forgive it. however what was unforgivable was the customer service it was truly shocking. I have never been spoken to as a customer like that before, and in my years of customer service would nevern speak to anyone in that manner!

We recently visited this establishment for dinner with friends who booked it up without knowing anything about it & i’m so glad they did! We were made to feel very welcome by the staff & seated straight away, the staff are very attentive but not too over the top, the menu isn’t vast but oh my gosh it’s good!! All home made food which is great to see as so many pubs are serving re heated of frozen mass produced meals but there’s no danger of that here. I had whitebait for my starter & chicken & bacon pie for main which is available with either mash or chips & a pot of gravy Mmmmmm!The portion sizes are very generous which is also nice to see & also very fair priced, there are roughly 8 starters & mains available with a couple of sharing options on the starters & also a few appetisers tooIf you like s nice pub serving home cooked good food with a nice atmosphere then this place is a must! We will definitely be returning.Thank you to all the staff for making our evening a nice enjoyable one.

I visited the White Horse some time ago as, as a vegan, I get really fed up with the hastily put together vegan option. This venue excelled then and it excels even more now. Vegans like comfort food too and we and vegetarians have our only menu too with options such as sweet potato and tofu pie (scrummy), seitan, cranberry nut roast, mac cheese for the vegetarians; posh chips and lots of others. Also really good menu for the meat-eaters. For dessert, not a fruit salad in sight..yay! I had vegan chocolate torte, vanilla and chocolate non-dairy ice cream. Some of the others chose the vegan pud or had flaming creme brulee. We went on a very quiet October Monday evening so had the place to ourselves and the service was A1 but at very busy weekends and other evenings, the service has been the same. The new renovation has taken it from a dingy unloved pub to somewhere just a bit special with a very convivial atmosphere.When other eateries are missing the huge movement towards veganism (for the environment, health and to stop using animal as resources), the White Horse is a pioneer and holds its nerve having seen where the evolution of diet is going. Those eateries which complain that it's not worth catering for vegans should take note - you can serve delicious food without what looks like a warning 'Vegan' - put the options on the menu with a v next to them and, like our party, if you find it is delicious enough, it will sell out. (The Flint Owl in Lewes regularly sells out of its delicious vegan cakes first as they are so in demand by everyone). All the big supermarkets are after the vegan pound - so get with it other cafes and restaurants...please.Anyway, we have the White Horse locally and, after my Sweet Potato and Tofu light as a feather pie and chips and the chocolate torte, it proved to be a perfect evening. Definitely recommended

The White Horse made us feel really welcome yesterday evening. e were a large group of mums who came our for wine and a chat, and the drinks and snacks were lovely. Enjoyed the surroundings, the pub and restaurant were really smartly.

We have been there this week in our bike trip Paris London. Olivia the lady at the bar was very kind and make us very comfortable. The lamb was delicious and also the other dishes. Very recommended for food and peole! Get in and enjoy!

We ate here as a group late Sunday afternoon. Greeted with warm smiles & shown to our table. Good selection on Menu all mains at £12.95, desserts £5.95. We had Roast meals while others opted for the Turkey & ham pie. All presented perfectly with a large side of vegetables including cauliflower cheese. Even the Chef came over & served us along with a smile. Value for money & very enjoyable meal. Throughout service staff could not do enough for us. Well worth a visit if passing by. We will return - more of the same please.

I visited with a friend this week and had a lovely meal. My friend had a vegetarian meal and I the lamb shank, it just fell off the bone with veg done to perfection.They are very accommodating with requirements too. Worth going for sure.

Grass where tarmac car park used to be, people where no one used to be, this pub is fast improving and it is good to see. Hurst is full of snobs, this pub welcomes everyone, so it is a refuge for the many people that feel ostracized by newly arrived snobs that want to mould this place into something it should not be. I hope jt continues to be what it is.

We went on their BBQ and steak evening, the steak was really the best away from home. The quality of meat really does make a difference. The meat fell off the ribs and my son very reluctantly let us taste - a very small mouthful. All the staff were helpful and knowledgeble, I think it was Tom who helped us. we bought tickets for a meat raffle and won a beef joint which was as tasty as the meat served to us by the chef which is supplied by the owner. Well worth a wander up to the village from Langton Lodge. It would DEFINATELY be our local if we lived the area. I have a wheat allergy but I was confident the chef understood the ramificions of catering for me. Service for service food and value not registering but I would tick 5 for all of them.

My partner and I were part of a running group last Friday night. We were excited to try the pub food out as we like to eat a vegan diet and we and our friends are always looking for new places to eat out.I ordered the vegan sausages with mash, and when it arrived the mash tasted like instant synthetic "potato". I was disappointed and very surprised, I wouldn't expect instant potato to be served with any meal let alone one in which mash was the main feature. And definitely not with a meal I'd paid £14 for. It's so simple to peel a potato!Most instant potato packets have powered milk in the ingredients, I can't eat milk due to health reasons and if someone's ordering a vegan meal it should be assumed there's a reason they don't eat dairy. I don't know if the brand of packet mix they're using had milk in it.My partner was underwhelmed with his seitan dish too.On the positive the man that served us brought me some side vegetables which had butter on them and then a few minutes later when he realised the error, brought another dish over with no butter, without me needing to say anything, which was greatly appreciated. I did email our feedback privately as I was interested to know their comments, but didn't receive any reply hence sharing here, we won't be recommending the White Horse.

The running club I belong to has a weekly pub run on a Friday during the summer months.Last Friday was the turn of the White Horse. A pub I have passed many times, but never really considered going into. No particular reason for that, just didn’t grab me.Well clearly I should have ventured in.I believe that it recently has been taken over, and regardless the management appear to be doing a decent job.We order our food when we initially arrive, do our run, and then come back to eat. The ordering all went smoothly, and when we got back, had time for a drink before we called for our food.Whilst a lot of the club had fish and chips, which was a very generous portion, I plumped for the Chilli. All the food was tasty and went down very well with a group of hungry runners!!Friendly staff, good food at a reasonable price. Recommended

This place states that it serves food until 7pm on a Sunday and that's what it said on the board outside, we went in and asked if they were serving food at 5.45pm only to be told nah Sorry! What a let down oh well plenty of other places to eat.

The Vegan Steak and Chips is the best have ever had. At £15.95 it was worth every penny.The staff are very friendly and helpful and are wholeheartedly embracing the rising popularity of plant based eating.Paul, the chef, is looking at updating the Vegan menu, while keeping the most popular dishes.Well worth a visit.

We had heard good things about the White Horse, especially their vegan menu. They also had a good kids menu so we thought we would give it a go. We booked a table no problem and got a very non friendly welcome from the gentleman behind the bar. Still, the waitress was lovely and tried hard to look after us during our meal. She is the best thing about that place! We had a 2 year old with us and despite having a kids menu they have no baby changing so my husband had to change our son on the floor of the men’s toilets which was less than ideal! They got our sons pizza on before we ordered which worked well as it came quickly and looked nice. We ordered some bread and olives to start, one of us had the sausage and mash and the other two had vegan nut roast Sunday lunch. While we were waiting for our starters more and more people started to arrive, we started to notice that they were receiving their mains before we had even had starters. We couldn’t understand how it was taking so long as it was just some bread and olives! We waited nearly 40 minutes but finally it arrived and was very nice. Anyone who is brave enough to dine out with a 2 year old knows that time is always of the essence. By the time we got our mains others who had got there after us had finished their meals and our son was incredibly fed up. But still, we were grateful that this place was offering a vegan roast and was looking forward to a nice home cooked Sunday lunch. It didn’t take me long to recognise what I was eating. I had had it many times before, the sun dried tomato nut roast that you can buy from many supermarkets for £2.50. My husband was eating one of the other flavours, cashew and cranberry, also available from supermarkets. It didn’t take us long to find our friends sausages either. Looks like actually cooking their own food from scratch just isn’t the white horses style. It dawned on us that that was why our food had taken so long. They must make up the nut roasts when they get an order in, (all it takes is boiling the kettle and adding it to the mix provided then baking it in the oven!) The White Horse isn’t a cheap restaurant, our roast dinners were £12.95. Knowing now that the main part of that dish cost £2.50 or less, I feel very cheated. The rest of the roast dinner was just bizarre, on my plate was a green salad with tomato and orange?! Who serves that with a roast?! The roast potatoes were so hard I couldn’t actually slice through them. There was some plain boiled carrots and kale too, red cabbage and some broccoli cheese. It really is such a shame. I still think it’s great that they offer vegan options. Especially the broccoli cheese, that is a thoughtful touch, but to use packaged, ready made items for your meals rather than actually cook it yourself and then charge more for the privilege? Well that’s just not on. We won’t be coming back.

I had seen posts on here and on local FB pages singing the praises of this pub which has always been a bit lacklustre before. Anyone who is a plant based eater will know how we are always the 'poor relation' where we often have to ask if there is a vegan option and then get handed something the chef has knocked up in the kitchen. Not so the White Horse. As well as the meat eaters' menu, there is a Vegetarian one and a Vegan one and, joy of joys, it is thought through, with lots of choice including comfort food (which some establishments seem to think we don't eat). The service from our waiters (including a vegan) was first class and the lovely Chef came out to check all was well (it was). I had seitan (what meat) steak, chips, tomato, onion rings. chef-made sauce and my friend chose a pie, They do offer vegan desserts too and I chose the dairy-free ice 'cream' in vanilla and mango and chocolate. Friend was too full. We are booked to go back with some meat-eaters so will be looking forward to hearing their view.

A Vegan meetup group had the most amazing meal last night. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and huge portions! We were made very welcome by all the staff. So much choice with their vegan menu recently introduced by Scarlett and Paul. Fully recommend this lovely pub that provides first class food for vegans as well. I understand Paul the chef is hoping to create menus that enable people to enjoy their meals together, whatever their dietary needs. He certainly has done this with the Vegan menu, Seiten steaks, sausage and mash, roasts and burgers, pies and a chilli. Not forgetting devine desserts. Forgot to take pictures of the side dishes that came with these meals. Also recommend the Vegan Roast on a Sunday, best I have had. Think the roast must be pretty good for omnivores too as it gets pretty booked up on a Sunday.

Really impressed with The White Horse when we visited today for lunch. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating especially with our elderly companion. Excellent range of food - small plates, main courses and puds - which should cover most tastes. The dining area is very nicely decorated adding modern touches to the oldy-worldy pub interior and lovely to have a real fire burning. All in all a very pleasant place to eat and definitely a find for mid-week lunch.

We were lucky to get a last minute table on Sunday with our kids. The roadt was supper. The starters were huge but is it possible to have too much of a good thing? Roast was cooked beautifully.Presentation was excellentService the same.We will be back (particularly as we've just moved to the area 0 lucky us!)

I have been there for meals on 5 occasions and had great meals every time and the service was excellent.

The White Horse has a new owner and manager and this pub restaurant is really going all out to impress which they definitely did last night when a group of us called in for a Friday night meal. The restaurant area has undergone refurbishment and looks great with a varied and easy menu. Food was delicious, the service attentive and the price reasonable. The pub bar area has kept its friendly village pub feel and the staff were all friendly and engaging. We will be returning very soon as I understand they do great Sunday lunches too.

Great good, excellent value and wonderful staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Baby friendly too! Will definitely be back.

Visited for Sunday lunch on the 8th. October with Family and experienced a Lunch to die for. Paul the Chef pulled out all the stops and produced a memorable lunch that we all thoroughly enjoyed. I will most certainly be back !

four of us went to celebrate the end of a project. Four Rib Eye steaks triple cooked chips mushrooms and veg. astonishing value AND the steak was done absolutely perfectly. Just awesome and ive eaten steak in various Argentinian steak houses and this was right up there. do yourself a favour and visit.

The perfect breakfast - could not be better and imo matches and betters top London hotel offerings! Scrambled eggs utterly fab, quality food superbly cooked and served with a smile. Thanks Paul ! Will be back

We visited for Birthday lunch as we had noticed the refurbished interior. The food was delicious and plentiful. The decor is very much improved. We will definitely be back soon.

Visitamos este pub con amigos para el almuerzo. Había sido hace varios años cuando fue anteriormente un restaurante tailandés. Gran renovación de la zona de comer, mucho más brillante que antes. Los inodoros infame han sido reemplazados con mucho mejores instalaciones lo que parece una buena y simple menú se convierte en un fantástico cuando la comida llega. Porciones grandes, bien preparado, con un gusto exquisito. Teníamos 4 comidas diferentes, todas eran muy buenas.El servicio se limita al camarero, pero como éramos los únicos para comer, no es un problema ya que la comida llegó rápidamente una vez ordenados.Aunque es tranquilo y escondido me temo que una vez que se extiendan el menú ha mejorado, entonces te llena más! Esperemos que esto continúa como sin duda volveremos. La gente en la cola de pescado fuera de la aldea recientemente inaugurada y chips cerca haría bien entrar y probar el bacalao y patatas fritas para sí mismos!

First timers for Sunday lunch with a group of friends, the food was amazing the chief came out and spoke to us all, he asked if we had any requests he completely delivered, no fat on the lamb etc...our plates were clean!!, will definitely return.

Just back from a fab lunch at The White Horse. With new owners and a refurb this place has really turned around. Lovely fresh homemade burgers and a great chessboard. Very friendly staff too. What's not to like - will definitely be back soon

La comida era fantástica, maravillosa calidad de productos vegetales y abundante servicio familiar. Fuimos dos veces este mes. Cada vez la comida estaba muy bien preparado, bien caliente, con una amplia variedad de hortalizas. El queso coliflor y col roja son deliciosos. Se obtiene su 5 un día aquí! La primera vez que pastel de pescado y en la segunda ocasión teníamos asado de venado. Personal amable. Nos hubiera gustado que vivimos más cerca ya que es una auténtica joya y muy razonable.

Este pub ha tenido una renovación reciente y cambio de chef y honestamente puedo decir que nunca me ha decepcionado! !Posiblemente uno de los mejores asados del domingo que he probado, (mejor queso coliflor) no es pretencioso o tratando de ser lujoso sirve deliciosa comida casera, y el personal es muy acogedor y amable! Especialmente Steve que siempre es tan complaciente!El caballo blanco es que probar si en el área!

Tres de nosotros tuvimos encabezada por Hurstpierpoint para un café y quizás una comida ligera. Encontrar el aparcamiento era incluso más de una pesadilla de la última vez que fui nos dirigimos a través de la carretera y decidimos Albourne parada en el caballo blanco. Habiendo mudado recientemente a el pueblo hemos estado tratando los pubs locales de comida. Nos habían informado que El Caballo Blanco había sido recientemente renovado y que merece la pena probar y estamos contentos de haberlo hecho. Llegamos tarde en la semana, así que era bastante tranquilo, pero un fuego de leña era leña para mantener cálidos y el personal era muy servicial y acogedor. Pedimos entrantes así como platos principales, pero ten en cuenta que tendrás un buen apetito. Los nachos inicial era enorme - podría haber sido un plato principal, pero no me quejo! La principal era igualmente generosa, y muy sabroso. Nos ofrecieron porciones extra de salsa, pero, para ser sincera, tenía mucho. Buenos precios precio también.Me doy cuenta de que la 'nueva' pub tiene un par de cosas para mejorar, como el barro y estrecho aparcamiento que podría mejorarse, pero es un gran restaurante/pub y merece una evaluación de 5 estrellas. Simon y el equipo han hecho un gran trabajo de transformar este pub de alrededor. Hemos vivido en el pueblo durante diez años y sólo ha sido una vez antes. El pub es transformado y el asado del domingo era genial! Es un deber de la calle para visitar si estás en mitad de Sussex. . .

Incredible roast for the whole family (2 x veggies!). Very impressed! Refurb gives it the right atmosphere suitable for families (plenty of room for buggys). Friendly helpful staff. Thank you White Horse the Lentons will 100% be back 😆

Spent thirty quid on a take away from here and was the worst Thai (if you can call it that) I've ever eaten. Never again, food tasted nothing like Thai food.

Teníamos una mesa de 18 (no hay un gran número de un "restaurante») por desgracia, parecía que teníamos 3 diferentes mesas, mientras algunos entrantes tenía agarradores eliminado algunos los entregaron. Cuando 2 orden de personas el mismo plato y 1 parece ser un plato barato y el otro se interesaban por su tiempo para preocuparse. Todavía estaba comiendo el lado en mi plato y fue eliminado sin ni siquiera pedirme! Yo nunca volveré a comer aquí de nuevo. Por desgracia incluso se sienten £5.50 por una copa de vino barato es aceptable.

Pero la primera clase pinta de cerveza local y la comida es excelente para la decoración. No comer o beber los muebles. Magnífica relación calidad-precio, tamaño de la porción y personal muy amable.
