The best restaurants serving Thai food in South East

Really wonderful Thai food, all very fresh. We went twice in a weeks holiday. The service was great, very friendly. Highly recommended

I was full to bursting after the tasty sharing platter for two to start followed by Chicken Yellow Curry with jasmine rice. Delicious, plentiful and good value; service friendly and fast, despite it being peak time on a Friday night. Can’t fault the experience.

Always friendly and good closed down now

We ordered a takeaway. From the menu I ordered the Thai name as written. So apparently it’s 2 completely different dishes within the same description. Went to pick up the order and there was an extra dish, Chicken in a coconut sauce. Ok we don’t get that, taken off the bill. Well what we did get then was Mushrooms (nothing but mushrooms) that were floating in the same liquid as the soups we ordered. NOT coconut sauce! So we have 3 dishes in a spicy soup, that wasn’t too bad but 3 the same! Not what was expected. Two soups exactly the same one with 4 prawns, one with little else. Ordered stir fry vegetables. Yes all the Veges as described but bland and tasteless. Lastly. Coconut rice. A generous amount of a soggy mess. We are travelling and we’re a 15 minute walk away. No.. I wasn’t going to return the meal. They had a chance to present a flavoursome meal but didn’t. Oh and like most food in the UK absurdly overpriced.

Violet was wonderful and had a great personality

Fancied coming to Thaikhun for a lunch with my two daughters today. Last visit was a year ago. I must say the food quality has gone worse and downhill. I ordered the stir fried rice with belly pork which was very chewy and hard as they were cut in very thick slices. My daughter had the crispy belly pork from the specialty menu. Same story hard and chewy.Neither dishes were pleasant to eat. We left the dish unfinished and not a word of apology from the staff. The service was poor as they were understaffed. We waited more then 40 minutes for our main course. But I definitely will not be recommending to our friends nd family and certainley we will be not going there ever again. Absolutely fuming!!

Good selection of Thai and Indian food. Have tied both cuisines now and both have been flavourful.

Food was amazing, and the staff are very friendly. Price are also reasonable. Definitely would come back

Lovely quaint restaurant and a really nice welcome Place was busy but the attention we received it could have been empty Lovely wine recommended We had the red curry and the chicken in a coconut sauce Everything piping hot Will definitely be going again

This is a lovely place to have a relaxing lunch. The food is delicious.

Best Thai in the area .. hands down

We were treated last night to a wonderful dinner at the Thai Orchid,the service was marvelous and the food was absolutely first class. My wife and I were celebrating our 60th birthdays together and the Thai Orchid did us proud,thank you so much.We would heartily recommend the Thai Orchi,needless to say we will definitely be back.

The hotel rooms are above a pub. They market this hotel as exceptionally high standard. I'm not sure what part of the building they are actually talking about. The facilities are just minimal standard. When I say minimal, I mean everything appears to be on the cheap.
