Apologies - no photos as was too busy eating - happy to post bill..First time in Henley and looked at reviews of other places to eat staying additional night. Giggling Squid topped the bill at the bottom of the hill. Staff excellent, being served by Alan. The Squid bits perfect and the pork dumplings , served in own small bowls with sauce. I had the Pawnee prawns whilst partner had red curry. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Presentation fantastic and good.atmosphere.. polite but chatty dining. Well worth a visit..

My second time here and it didn’t disappoint. From a very friendly welcome, and complimentary glass of Prosecco for my granddaughter (celebrating her 18th), the whole experience was superb. The food here is beyond fabulous . Can’t wait to go back.

From the moment we walked in , the warm welcome from Clayton ( manager ) and Molika was exceptional . They couldn’t do enough throughout the whole time we were in the restaurant. Food was exceptional, presentation was outstanding. The restaurant is a credit to Henley.

I was there on Valentine’s Day, and the waiting time for the food was about an hour, but I still rated 4 stars as Alan was the one who served our table and he sincerely apologise and followed closely with the food order for us, definitely will revisit another time

I love the Giggling Squid chain, but the quality can really vary. Unfortunately, the food at this location was quite average, and some dishes weren’t heated through properly. Of course, I’ve only been once, so it could have just been an off day!

We loved this place. The setting was lovely, such a good vibe! Staff were fab, and the service was spot on. Clayton looked after us and he was attentive but not OTT. But..., the food was incredible, such a good choice, and really authentic. A mix of tapas starters and I had the Royal fish combo, a Thai red curry with sticky rice, and it was to die for! We'll definetely return and highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a wonderful meal this evening, both of us have visited giggling squids all over the UK. And the staff at this one went above and beyond. Firstly, we were greeted by what seemed to be either the general manager or the shift runner, an older gentleman who was so extremely welcoming, a wonderful warm personality to have greet you upon entry. Coming from hospitality myself, I can massively appreciate when someone takes the time out of service to speak to customers and he did exactly that. Then we were served by a gentleman named Alan, he checked back throughout our meal… and made sure that we were satisfied throughout our food journey. So thank you very much for your impeccable service and good food as always, we will definitely be coming back.

We popped in early Monday evening around 5.45 pm before going to the local cinema, and our food was excellent, as it has been on every other occasion we have been to the Henley on Thames restaurant. I had the spicy 'drunken noodles which I love.

Restaurant was busy with lots of satisfied customers. Food was great and plentiful. Took a little while to come, but nothing too bad. Our server, Alex, was very attentive.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and decent service. This is a 4 star for me as the food wasn’t as flavourful as I would expect Thai food to be. Decent portions though and a lot of protein!

My partner and I went here for last minute dinner plans. They managed to make space for us even though it said full online booking and was busy. I would like to say a huge thank you to Jon, our waiter. We regularly dine in not for the food but for the impeccable customer service from Jon and the team. Yum food. Fantastic customer service. Best place in Henley.

I’ve had consistently unpleasant experiences at GS across three visits. First Visit: Ordered a dish, the server confirmed it, but I received the wrong food. They made no real effort to fix it, so I just ate it. But, this was forgivable as I felt the server made a genuine mistake and I didn’t want to make a fuss. Second Visit: Went with two friends and waited 40 minutes to even be acknowledged after being seated, despite sitting in full view of staff right by the bar. After finally getting drinks ordered, we were ignored for another hour. When I flagged a server to order food, we were told the kitchen was closing soon. Meanwhile, other tables were seated, served, and finished while we waited. The food, when it finally arrived, was underwhelming. Third Experience (Takeaway): Reluctantly gave GS another chance via Deliveroo as my friend wanted to order here. I noticed they inflate prices if you add on extras via the meal page (e.g. if you add the chicken stir fry main the “why not add” shows these higher prices for rice/starters etc) sticky rice went from £3.99 to £4.25, and salt and pepper squid from £8.80 to £9.40, likely hoping people won’t notice. If you add everything separately from the main menu you get the real prices. Once the food arrived it was awful: dry “sticky” chicken, overcooked sticky rice which was barely edible and cemented together, and a chicken basil stir-fry with barely any chicken or basil. Across three occasions, the service and food have been consistently poor. I regret giving this place multiple chances, really such a shame because Thai food is my favourite cuisine but every aspect is lacking unfortunately.
