Molika was very attentive and knowledgeable, she recommended the salmon bites and Pad Thai prawns were very scrumptious! Finished off with my all time favourite “Thai Iced Tea” scrumptious!

Quick tapas lunch. First visit to this Giggling Squid. Spotlessly clean and pleasant atmosphere. Attentive engaging server (Alex) who went above and beyond to make our lunch enjoyable. Food was tasty. Prefer more crisp on couple of dishes but nothing that will prevent further visits. The quality of food is always very good.

Unfortunately completely overpriced! You actually have to buy the rice!! The portions correspond to children's plates :(

One of the best meals and service I’ve had!!! We arrived around 7:30 it was busy for a Thursday, we was sat and greeted as we walked in! The staff gave excellent service !! Started were out 10 minutes after we ordered, the staff were on the feet making sure everyone felt welcomed and having a good experience. The food! Is one of the best meals I’ve had in a while, i am still thinking about it right now. The staff were so friendly and continued to make conversation. We was there for an hour and had 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 side and two drinks in this time. Words cannot describe how good our experience was. Would 100000% go again. Thank you!

We have just had a beautiful meal. Everything was delicious! I wish I could eat here every day. The staff were so kind and friendly- especially our waiter John.

Giggling squid used to be my favourite restaurant, I would order the Vegetarian Pad Thai every single time and it was my comfort meal. The most spectacular part of this meal was the tofu. However, on my recent trips they have changed the tofu and it was the most heartbreaking experience I have had. I came to the Giggling squid for the the tofu and now I have nothing to come back for. Please change the tofu back! The mediocre tofu I could cook for myself is not what I expect from what used to be my favourite restaurant.

Delicious Thai restaurant! The price is not too expensive. If one person has a meal and drinks, it will cost around 20 pounds. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cute. If you have a chance, come and eat!

Food that was cooked correctly was great 5 star. Unfortunately the takeaway rice was left in a bag and therefore turned into a sticky mess. The collection was also poor as the restaurant forgot the order. So to summarise good food, poor management and delivery. 🫠 Shame.

Great experience from start to finish. Being seated at a lovely table to have a family meal. Always lots of good vegan options. I felt the food, especially the noodles did not have that wok hei flavour it usually does in other Giggling Squid places. It could have been down to a slight rush of tables but then it was a weeknight with no back tables being filled. I would say I had better food at other branches. Service was good too. I would still go to Giggling Squid but may choose something else in Henley until the food quality improves.

My wife and I were celebrating a wedding anniversary together here. We were made to feel welcomed and given an unexpected complimentary drink. The service was warm and friendly. The food was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thank you team.

Great meal last night. Pork dumplings and pad thai were excellent. Caramelized mango with ice cream was great to finish. All other courses were good and service was good too.

My somtam (papaya salad) was super good today!!! As I ask them to make it spicy 🌶️ Sure, I will order it again ! All staff are nice and always smile 😃

I live in Henley and have used the Squid many many times but sadly never again . Went for a meal on Saturday evening and it was like a John cleese Forty Towers sketch. It was not over busy,ordering drinks starters and main. Waited 20 minutes for the starter,then the main came out with a dish I didn't recognise and questioned this and was told it was part of the meal. 5 minutes later the server came back and asked if I had eaten any of the dish I had questioned ,when I said no they picked it up and said it wasn't mine said sorry and walked away with it to the kitchen door only to turn around and proceeded to take it to another table,I was speachless !!! Meaning they were give food that I had prodded and poked around by myself to see what it was and been on my table 5 minutes. Then another waiter came over and asked if I would like to order more drinks! I had even at this point had the first ones . To top it off when the bill arrived I was charged 8% service charge. What service!!! That's it Giggling Squid ,never again ,no respect for customers and their food moving it from table to table .

Had a brilliant lunch here today. Went for the Veggie Set meal with had 4 small plates including spring roll, stir-fried rice, vegetable green curry and rice. All were piping hot and delicious. At £12.95 a head cheaper than the average pub’s burger and chips shot out of a packet and into a frier! Small plates they might be but was plenty for a lunch. Delicious.

Great night out with two families and teenage kids. Tasty fresh menu with the ability to adapt well for allergies. Enjoyed it

Incredibly slow service. Had to ask for drinks order several times. Was told large party had ordered several cocktails but restaurant aways has large parties booking so arrange more staff. Took awhile to take our food order as well although once ordered, food came pretty fast.

Stayed in Henley for a party the following day and the menu looked good so booked, we weren't disappointed.....

Starter and main course good. Cheesecake though was poor, still frozen. Highlighted to the waitress, who then tried to suggest it was hard because the biscuit base is hard! Definitely frozen…..

Second visit in three years, first time was fantastic with great staff all Thai. people. Second time came with friends, very disappointed, food not great and not warm enough, service poor on arrival.

I was there for dinner. I’m Thai just can say there’s no Thai people work on shop floor, but there maybe Thai chef . Not really sure . The taste seems like not authentic Thai especially jasmine rice . The white rice seems not high qualities as I can see the colour or maybe overcooked. I have order pad Kee maow prawn £14.25 my dish is look like just £8-£9 but I can see pad Thai prawn on the table next to me look better as the same price on the menu . Don’t know why . Duck spring is the best of our orders .service is brilliant, staffs are very friendly but due to quite packed at that time they couldn’t service fast . Atmosphere a bit noisy honestly.

From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome, you are greeted with a smile. Staff really friendly, good job we booked as it got quite busy very quickly. Food was absolutely amazing. If I was staying in the area longer I would definitely go again.

Second time back here and the service as a whole, again did not disappoint. I didn’t realise this place was a chain, everything about it is great, you can’t tell, unlike most chains. They can really let you down from one to another but not this place. A fairly busy restaurant but that doesn’t prevent the service team from being attentive, efficient and friendly. They genuinely seem to care. Our food was gorgeous (again), the ambiance is just what we were after as a small group. I know when we return to Henley again this place will be on our list to visit. Upon arrival we were left waiting at the main door for nearly 10 minutes stood around people eating at their tables which was awkward, before any staff approached us; even though various staff members were walking around us. We had a booking and was then shown to our table which had not yet been relaid. The seating was not adequate, my partner was brushed past and knocked multiple times being at the entrance of the area and next to the staff access door. We ordered our drinks and food and the starters arrived after being there for approx 25 minutes and the spring rolls were enjoyable however we had still not received any drinks. We’d finished the starters before our drinks arrived and when they did they got it wrong but after waiting so long we drank them anyway. We ordered additional drinks, whilst waiting for these they brought us someone else’s order. When the next drinks arrived they only brought 1 so we had to wait again for the other one. The mains arrived and the noodles were covered in grease to the point that we were unable to finish the meal. The staff were friendly but just could not keep up with the speed of service required for the restaurant. They did discount our bill which we were grateful for but unfortunately this does not compensate for the disappointment of the evening.

The food was good and the service was excellent from our waiter. Only bad point is the restaurant is split into two areas and we were out the back which lacked atmosphere, but still a nice meal overall.

Nice food, on the expensive side, rather noisy, tables close together, hard to not hear others conversations.

I had an excellent meal with my mum and mother in law for Mother’s Day. We had Nadiia serving us. She was brilliant and extremely attentive with helping my MIL who is celiac. We had the best night and will definitely be going again. The food and drinks were all delicious. Thoroughly recommend!

Lovely food as usual, just understaffed so service was slow but still very friendly.

I have been here before when visiting Henley so we decided to book for tonight. We were shown to our table quickly and given menus. When we ordered we were told one option was not available so we made a swap. 2 starters arrived before our drinks. The 3rd never arrived, when we asked they said sorry we don’t have it. The staff were amazing but seemed so run off their feet. Our main course arrived and was delicious. People at tables around us, left as they hadn’t been served. When our bill came they had charged us for the starter we never got. This was corrected. It wasn’t till we paid I noticed we had been charged for a large wine not a small but the staff were so busy I took the hit. Amazing food, amazing staff. But I want to know where the management was. Thank you to the 3 staff on tonight.

Food was delicious, I had the curried sea bass with sticky rice my wife had the pad Thai vegetables with jasmine rice. Will definitely be going back when in Henley.

I have multiple food allergies which makes eating out very difficult. After a visit in Farnham giggling squid I wanted to try the more local to me Henley branch. you’re allergy menu is just amazing and so much more advanced to other places. as I’m also allergic to additional allergies, not one of the 14, your ingredients listing reassures me that I’m in safe hands. the Manager on duty (Portuguese guy) welcomed me, with a “you’ve come to the right place”. This just made me feel so welcome, relaxed and reassured. unfortunately there is a lot of allergy anxiety involved when eating out, but to be greeted like that settled it immediately. Branko our waiter was extremely attentive, careful and thorough with accommodating our special food needs that are certainly not easy. we would like to thank him especially to make my husbands birthday celebration even more special. wishing him a fantastic time on his travels through South America. We certainly will be back and recommend eating out safely with allergies taken care of. Thank you

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant. We didn't book ahead and turned up quite late in the evening, but the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant looks very nice and cosy the waiters are very attentive and we loved the food too. We'll be back :-)

Came here on a date night it's a lot more smaller than it shows in the pictures on Google but the service and food was amazing

Love it! Food - DELICIOUS! Try their Crispy Beef... To die for! Oh.. And of course other delicious food as well! SUPER delicious! Was there with my old time High School friends staying in and around UK. A REUNION after 33 years! And we had a great time there. Food was super delicious, ambience was great, staff was friendly and courteous, the company was c'est Magnifiqué !! What else can we ask for? Thanks GIGGLING SQUID! Will definitely come again! At first service was very good but as the restaurant got busy we struggled to get attention to order something else. When we did it took to long to deliver it to us. Pity cos food was really good.

The food is delicious , I have never been disappointed. The potions are perfect. Best Thai restaurant around the area. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, I gave 4⭐️for service because you can always have room for improvement.

On Saturday my brother and I popped into the Giggling Squid for lunch and wow... What a place! The waitress was levels above the staff of most places staff these days. Not only was she attentive, happy, helpful, she was just a genuinely nice person to be around. The food was really nice, just not what I'd call authentic Thai (admittedly I've high standards having been fortunate enough to travel there). That said, very tasty and really decent portions! If you're looking for a nice restaurant, great food, friendly staff with plenty of options for all (really good drink choices too!) Give the Giggling Squid a go!

Starter was fine but my curry I found silver foil in it, after a longish wait. They apologised and I said I was not going to pay for that dish. They offered another dish but wait would have been far too long. When bill came they had knocked off the 19.25 for meal and rice but added service charge on and seemed to be surprised when I said I was not paying the service charge. The meal for 2 should have been free for both of us

Great lunch with family. Very authentic Thai food, flavours were amazing and staff happy to advise. Very attentive to allergies. Which one of us had (peanut allergy). Certainly come here again.

Gluten free options are limited but there and all very tasty. Limited GF menu means I may just wait a little longer to return that's all Staff were attentive, helpful and polite Restaurant was quiet (Thurs afternoon) and well decorated Cost - very reasonable for a lunch out Will absolutely return here

I have been to several Giggling Squid restaurants- Henley is bar far the best I have had the pleasure to experience. Staff are very friendly, helpful and very professional. Fantastic food served on time and at the right temperature. A complete faultless experience , highly recommend

The holy basil chicken was not perfect, but still pretty good. (But that is my favourite dish and looking for perfection in it.)

Super small portions, slow service, we paid more than 30 quid a person and left hungry. Food wasn’t anything special

First time at this location. We ordered three starters and shared the wonderful duck curry. The starters were chock full of flavour, textures and deliciousness. The papaya salad was just like we love - fiery, crunchy and punchy. Salmon balls wrapped in a betel leaf topped with fried shallots were a surprise, the rice balls had great topping of sweet/sour/minty/fruity, flavours on point. The duck curry with sticky rice rounded out the meal with deep umami and silky sauce. We really thought the food had improved with this menu and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. They were somewhat understaffed and the service far from ideal but the food came out and we devoured it so all was good. We'll enjoy their usual good service on another occasion. Visiting manager did her best. We'll be back just for the awesome food! UPDATE 1/9/23 Usual deliciousness and bold flavours at our local Giggling Squid. One bite salmon in betel leaf and the Thai garlic hake (note the zingy green peppercorns!) were faves. Grilled squid and Hawker-Style Moo Ping (pork skewers) were great. Always a side of papaya salad and sticky rice to soak up any spare juice! #yummythai #henley

5 Star John took care of us well, as did the waitresses. Was a great night, Chicken Massaman was as to be expected. My friend had the Lamb Shank, which was great apparently.

Great for what was for us a drawn out meal but others around us were gone in half the time and the waitresses just kept up with the pace of the customer … no pressure to finish. Oh and of course the food was great, as ever.

Wow, what a fantastic meal, after having a couple of great meals over the years we decided to order our meal as a take away. We was presently surprised at the delivery times , the temperature of the food and the most amazing taste and great presentation. Delicious- enough said we will be back

Have visited Giggling Squid in Marlow before, but think I prefer this venue more. From entering, the team was on hand to provide prompt service. Had lunchtime menu, which is like a plated bento, curry was beyond yummy! Also, Jasmine tea was delicious. Shout out to Patti, who was great and the rest of the team. Definitely coming back!

Great kids menu (very flavorful)! Loved the squid starter and Shrimp Pad Thai. Came out to only 15 per person since one of them was a child and we didn't have leftovers.

Best food I’ve ever eaten!!! My only complaint is I’m from Cheshire and I told the staff please come to Manchester or wimslow they will be really busy plus I can come weekly! The food was superb even thou they were extremely busy in house and take away service. Definitely 5 stars and would recommend to everyone

Second time visiting and it was top notch! It was My partner's birthday and the staff very kindly organised a chocolate pudding and candle which just topped the evening off, Tommy & Pati (I think her name was) were both very kind and made our evening very enjoyable. That said, all the staff were lovely! Will definitely be visiting again very soon !

Well, we could not fault it. The ingredients were as fresh as the taste. The best Thai restaurant food we've had in a long time. The portions are good too and so you will not leave hungry! The service was faultless and smiles all round....happy customers 👍

Always enjoy eating here. We usually have the lunch deal but we were there mid afternoon so had an early supper. Ended up being a bit more expensive than we thought.

We went out looking for somewhere we hadn’t been before and served food we didn’t cook at home. Over a drink nearby we came across the Giggling Squid, what a place. We enjoyed our visit so much. Food excellent, fresh, hot and so tasty. The service was excellent also, they made my 6 year old son feel very welcome. Highly recommended you won’t be disappointed

Had the prawn crackers, giggling wings, duck spring roll to share with friends and then the prawn Penang curry with jasmine and coconut rice. Personally Thai isn't my favourite cuisine (went with friends) but I enjoyed the giggling wings and the juiciness of the prawns in the curry (and there were a good number, which is always a good sign). The curry was quite rich so didn't manage to finish it all. The only niggle was that the rice wasn't served steaming hot and it was a bit dense, which didn't taste texturally very good with the curry. Other than that, they were very allergen aware which is so important as I have a peanut allergy and part of the reason Thai isn't my favourite is because so much Thai involves peanuts. They labelled things v carefully and the allergen menu was easy to use. The only problem with the allergen menu is that no prices or description are on it so I had to cross check with the main menu which was a slight inconvenience. It would be nice for there to be a full size allergen menu too. Meal came to around £91 for 3 people to have a starter, main curry and non alcoholic drink with two bowls of rice to share (service charge included in this price).

tommy and elena were both amazing waiters and the overall service was excellent. tommy was so funny and very enthusiastic, and elena very kind. really yummy food and a lovely atmosphere. will definitely be going again soon, highly recommend. one of my fav restaurants!

Amazing food and fantastic service

First time eating in this restaurant. I didn’t know they have branches in other counties as well. The atmosphere and ambience feel so calm. It’s well decorated, and there were lovely decorations. Other than that, the food was the winner. Their tapa set was great! Loved everything about it! The taste, the balance, the presentation, it was delicious!! I also ordered their stir fry prawn, which was also tasty and had a rich flavour. After the meal, we tried their ice cream dessert—black sesame ice cream and jasmine rice toast ice cream, which was also good. The staff was attentive and accommodating as well.

Fancied something a bit different, had Thai few years ago, restaurant is very nicely fitted out , staff are attentive and friendly, food is excellent, presentation is really good, portion size is good, drink choice is also very good, except for silly price on bottle water, otherwise very good.

What a fantastic little place. The food here was delicious and tasted very authentic. Also, there were plenty of waiting staff and it never felt like we had to fight for their attention. Well worth the visit.

Fantastic food lovely wee restraunt excellent service

First time back in Henley after 7 years and returned to Giggling Squid. It was a busy night with RHR getting started but the service was great and amazingly prompt. Our waiter, John, was terrific and despite the business, was able to keep the experience quite personal. Food was amazing - I kept it simple with Pad Thai with Prawns and it was probably the best Pad Thai I've had. My wife and daughters were equally as impressed with their selections plus drinks, dessert, all outstanding. Hopefully it won't be another 7 years before we're back!

It was the first hot Saturday of the summer and we wanted a pre-theatre dinner before watching a magician at the Kenton. We’d planned to eat at another nearby restaurant, but finding it still shut at 5, we wandered round to see if we could...

Great set lunch menu at around £10. Always fresh and lovely service. Back 2 years later and still great. Service by Oudarin was really helpful.
