We were boating Dorchester to Mapledurham and moored up in the village for reasons of fond memories (our family used to live here) . We always visited the Catherine Wheel ad I'm happy to say the food and service and ales are still as great as they always were. We sat in the garden and the pub and garden had plenty of space for social distancing and you could even buy handmade facemasks at the bar. Lovely to come back here.

Lovely little pub that does a really good pint of Timothy Taylor bitter at a very reasonable price. Regulars are great friends of mine after just one visit; fellow engineers who are likeable, friendly chaps with a high degree of intelligence. Charlie, the manager is friendly and attentive. This pub is in a picturesque village setting, two miles from my home in Berinsfield. You may need to use your satnav to find it but please pay this pub a visit; you will love it!

This pub is hidden away off the beaten track somewhat but well worth a visit. It is the closest pub to the Aston Martin Heritage Centre/Museum/Owners Club though. We enjoyed a good freshly-prepared lunch of Gammon Steak, Egg, Chips & Peas - all good quality food and at a very good price.

I have lived in the next village for almost a decade and never went here. But I discovered it about two weeks ago. It was fantastic but and I must have eaten here five times in two weeks. But sadly the Thai pair that run the kitchen have moved to another pub in Abingdon. Lucky Abingdon!

Although the nearest post town is Wallingford, Drayton St Leonard is several miles away (closer to Dorchester-on-Thames) and quite isolated in the countryside; you have to make an effort to find it - and don't trust the TripAdvisor map, as the Google map pin is not in the correct location. But it is worth finding for the Catherine Wheel, a former Morrells pub which is now a free house. It's a slightly unusual setup: the L-shaped room (with the bar in the angle) has sofas at each end, and three or four long tables shoe-horned into the middle. In addition to being a pub, on Wednesday to Saturday evenings it also serves home-cooked Thai food at very reasonable prices, and with friendly and helpful staff. I've had some very good meals here since discovering it, and will certainly be going back for more.

Popped into this village pub on offchance of a table without booking...and were seated straight away. Food was freshly cooked and delivered promptly...service was engaging and friendly...portions were much bigger than we expected as well. Tim and James who run the wheel now, are very welcoming and their staff are all very polite and efficient. Overall excellent value for money and we will be back again to try more on their ever changing menu.

Wonderful Thai food, exceptionally fresh and tasty. Friendly service and sensible prices. The Catherine Wheel is really one of the best Thai venues in Oxfordshire. The menu is also available for takeaways.

Great food, had the seabass with Thai vegetables and it was beautiful. Service a little slow and restaurant a little small so rated lower for these reasons but would still recommend for smaller groups
