Thai Table in Reading

We come here regularly with our family after visiting Caversham Library and it's always been great. A fantastic value lunch menu that's available 7 days a week, with other gems in the main menu too. ~£11 per head for lunch is a steal! Their Thai ice tea is so fragrant! High chairs and kids menu available for the kids.

Have visited a number of times, and this time certainly didn't disappoint. Great food and service, as always.

Good meal, friendly staff, reasonable price

A pleasant surprise - delicious, flavourful Thai food with great portions. I can say the spice and flavours are fairly authentic. My recommendation would be the “Roast Duck Tamarind”, very tender duck with a sweet tangy tamarind sauce Seating is few but on a Sunday night, it wasn’t too busy.

Lovely friendly service nothing was too much trouble staff very attentive approachable and food was amazing had a great evening out would definitely book again

Went there for Valentine’s Day . Fantastic food and great service

This place is a little hidden gem. You must try the teriyaki duck and the yellow chicken curry. They are to die for. I will definitely be back.

Prices on the website are out of date. We collected two curries (without rice included) and one portion of prawn crackers for £33. Prices seem punchy considering we collected ourselves and no rice was included. Food was tasty but there are other establishments which offer the same for a lot less?

Sad for vegans! Great options, almost tastes Thai but, bland. I order the cashew stir fry and there like 5 cashews in it.

Ordered £77 food to be delivered via Uber Eats - never arrived - called restaurant - told us to reorder and pay again! Thieves …. Given the portion sizes are usually children size - never go here again

Great meal with friends. Massaman curry particularly good. Service a little slow, but it was v busy. Visit again.

The service was excellent, staff were very friendly and accomodating. The food was exceptional, everything was cooked to perfection with a lot of flavour. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very relaxing and we were very well looked after. We would definitely recommend that you visit Thai Table, you will not be disappointed.

Super little Thai restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. The pad Thai was one of the best I've eaten in the uk - rich in flavour with a creative twist, and not overflowing with noodles! The staff seemed happy in their jobs and made our Sunday evening visit a very pleasant and relaxing one.

Have visited the Thai Table many times for celebrations with family and friends over the years. The service is always so friendly and the food is out of this world.

Excellent food and good service. Found the hot and sour soup a little on the sour side for my tastes but the satay chicken is well worth trying

Spring rolls are crispy with fresh fillings. Pleasant staff and good ambience.

Popped in for dinner and was not disappointed. We shared a starter of dumplings and followed it with seabass and Thai pad noodles, the food was very fresh. The soy sauce on the seabass was fantastic and could of happily ordered more just for rice. Very attentive service both with serving the food and topping up the water. Definitely recommend.

It was our first time here this evening, we took the pad-Thai and the Northern Style Pork Ribs. Both dishes tasted absolutely beautiful and the Pad-Thai was the best we have ever had- way better than giggling squid!! Lovely staff, quick service- we will certainly be back for more.

Sorry to say but the food wasn’t to my expectation. We had a prawn starter which was salty. We then ordered a Thai red curry which we requested it to be extra hot but it wasn’t, the curry itself was lacking of flavours. Staff were good that’s the only positive thing.

I was absolutely contented with this service , it was Dream and Gik doing the serving and I have never in my short life had an exceptional customer service. At first I was worried about my choice of order they recommended nice starters information about portion size was very clear and direct, not just me they served the table beside me and kept on asking if they were okay. The food came and it was absolutely delicious I’m sorry I’m never going to another Thai restaurant in reading again apart from Thai table , I was at first worried about the service charge but the service and care the two people I mentioned earlier showed to every customer made me willing to pay the service charge. If the management could compensate them for a job well done that would be great it’s not everyday you see people doing their job so well and customers were pleased with it. Lovely evening worth every penny 😊

Nice food but so chilli 🌶️ hot!! I had a take away and had to eat the food in two sittings, ouch! My mouth burnt so much. This wasn’t the first time but it was the worst. Really far too spicey hot 🥵 again. I’m not likely to return now.

The food was exquisite, much thanks to the chef and front of house staff. Been here twice now and hightly reccommend. We even took left overs home we were so full! Everything was beautiful, so keep doing what you are doing.

Good, friendly, attentive service. Good size portions as well as presentation. Lovely authentic Thai dishes and flavours. My friends from London go out to Thai restaurants there and say there is nowhere comparable. We all very much enjoyed.. the company, but also experience and food! We would recommend this place! ❤️

Had a takeaway. Very quick to prepare food. Food was pretty good. Nice pad Thai and chicken satay. Somehow wasn't as wow as the last (first) time I had it, but good nonetheless.

Service was lovely, attentive staff - however the food was average. Thai curry was served on a bed of lettuce (?) and the beef massaman curry was really chewy and just square bits of meat, with little potato and other elements. Starter was nice. Thought we would try out this restaurant as we had heard good things, however unfortunately other Thai restaurants in the area seem to be better.

Rude waiter, ordered a can of coke for £2.70, the coke was foreign like the ones served in kebab shops. Food was average nothing worth spending that amount of money. The chicken in the Green curry seemed like sandwich meat from the supermarket. Would not recommend. Brought the wrong food without anyone on our table noticing initially. 1 minute later they came over and took the food, swapped the curry and forgot to replace the noodles. Never visiting again.

Food was amazing staff were lovely and helpful, male waiter serving 27/09/22 was very nice. Headed down from reading festival and was the perfect place to relax.

We enjoyed an exceptionally authentic Thai dinner here. We came without advance reservations but the owner was able to seat us right away. Everything we ordered was freshly prepared and served hot... the aroma was simply spectacular. The service was prompt and attentive. The atmosphere is quite comfortable and intimate. **Parking is a challenge, therefore I recommend parking near the Crown Plaza hotel.** Nonetheless, the food here is mostly definitely worth the drive.

Ordered mango sticky rice which came to £8.was shocked at the tiny potion amount I got ! Asked nicely if I can have a but more sticky coconut rice .was told that is the potion size.sorry but that is daylight robbery!.if they were kind enough to add a bit more I may have ordered here again but next time I will look elsewhere.

We were staying nearby and saw the restaurant while out for a walk. Decided to give it a try...thank goodness we did! The best Thai restaurant we've been to outside Thailand itself. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere (we'd been to the rugby and gone straight to the restaurant). Starters were satay chicken, duck spring rolls and crispy king prawns. Mains were Pad Thai, a chicken curry and the fabulous Beef Massaman! All dishes are beautifully served and full of diverse flavours. Wine list compliments the spicy dishes excellently and the service is friendly and professional. A truly memorable evening!

Had a very enjoyable meal here. The beef massaman curry was really excellent in both taste, quality and quantity. Very reasonably priced. Relatively quick service and very friendly and efficient staff.

Second time to try getting a table here. They close after lunch and re-opens again later in the afternoon. The staff are welcoming and we headed directly to our table. My picks were the coconut rice (amazing!) and the desert which was mango coconut soufflé?

The food was okay, the wait times not do much. The waitress was very kind and apologetic though.

Fantastic meal we loved it. Staff accommodated an extra 2 people on arrival, being a loud group of boys on the beers they were polite and served us quickly with banging food. One noise complaint from Karen behind us but we ate and enjoyed every second of it!

What a lovely meal we had last night. The atmosphere was pretty good too. Friends had told me how good it was - they were right. The restaurant was full - no surprise really. We'll definitely go there again.

The staff were very friendly, and really helpful. They made me feel very welcome at the restaurant. Atmosphere was really nice, and was really warm and relaxing. The décor was very pleasing to the eye. The drink Mekhong Twilight was quite nice and citrusy. The food was great, I really liked all the items that I ordered. The standout for me was the chicken satay. A lot of other places have it quite dry, but here the chicken was cooked perfectly. The sauce was balanced very well, not sickly sweet but not to acidic either. The rest of the food, was great as well. I would recommend the Thai table platter for the starter as it has a good variety of dishes that were all very tasty. The ice cream and the sorbet had a taste of coconut as well, which I personally liked, but someone else might not be a fan of it. But I really enjoyed them. I will definitely return here in the future, had a great time all around.

We visited here for a family dinner on a wet and windy evening. The restaurant was practically empty but when we went in the lady (who seemed to be new) said we had to wait. A couple of minutes another lady came over and gave us a choice of couple of tables to choose from and we sat down. There were Perspex type separators between tables which hopefully encourages people who are concerned about Covid and distancing (this is a small restaurant). We had the veg spring rolls and tofu skewers for starters and pad Thai noodles and tofu curry with jasmine rice for mains. The rice is served in little baskets and feels good enough to eat by itself. The food was good and overall a good experience.

A great independent Thai place. Service is exceptional and the food is amazing. We love coming here and haven't had a bad meal! Highly recommend

A very nice Thai meal on a Saturday evening. The staff are all friendly and attentive. The chicken Penang and tamarind duck were both very tasty. We parked in Chester Street car park (£1) which is a short walk from the restaurant.

Amazing Thai food, very good price and happy warming atmosphere. Parking can be a pain but there's the pay and display nearby, or if you're lucky you can park for free down "the Warren" behind Cav Court. And they even managed to stop the busy road traffic from interfering with dinner 👌

We ordered for delivery. Portions were small for pricing and food quality was not good. Dumplings were soggy, spring rolls were scorching hot in the centre, as if they had been microwaved, tempura prawns were breaded, and lacking flavour. Very disappointing indeed.

Popped in for lunch alone and didn't feel awkward at all. Nice staff. Dietary requirement friendly menus including gluten. I had the stir fried king prawns which were delicious and very filling. Decent price as well to top of the experience.

So over ordered as too many delicious choices. But took the excess home and was still so yummy next day. The cocktail I ordered transported me to paradise! A Must try venue.

Came here with friends on a Saturday night, booked for 7.30 and surprised it wasn’t very busy! Nice ambience, we were taken to back room where we were alone. Waiter was not knowledgable on the menu as we had to give him the dish numbers. Bottled beers only but good selection. We had a shared starter which was great, then had a main course each of beef duck and nasi goreng. Good quality but not much of it. Total came to £33 each so not cheap either, but overall good quality

Just had a delivery for mothers day. And have to say as good a meal for a takeaway that you would think you were eating in the restaurant. And they were so busy they were running late and had the decency to call to say will be 20 to 30 mins late. This was our 5th or 6th takeaway since the various lockdown started and can't wait to visit and eat in. THANKS

Ordered for New Years Eve 2020. There were a lot of grumpy customers who waited 1+ hour for takeaway. These are tough times for all, both customers and staff, so to wait a little bit of time made it all the more worth the wait. Staff are always extremely polite and the food is excellent. I’ll continue to support my local restaurants in 2021.

We were very pleased with Thai Table: the food was delicious, the staff nice, they have screens to separate the tables so it feels covid secure, and it's good value for money. We'll definitely come back! (on the photo is a shared starter)
