was very yummy! first time in UK and i really really enjoyed it! i recommend getting the thai food!!! was yummy! the service was very amazing and the staff were very kind! i dropped a napkin and they brought me a whole plate of napkins! very kind! the ambiance was very amazing! ok end of my review! we love you thai corner!1!!!!!

Belated valentines dinner, too busy talking to remember to take before food photos! Oopsie!

Do not recommend if you are going as couple. They are only interested in serving large groups. We booked our reservation well in advance and when we reached there we were told that we have to vacate the table in 1.5 hrs, though nothing was mentioned while booking the reservation. The lady with the specs ( I think she is the manager) took away our plates even before we finished our meal. Just gave us the bill. We didn’t even get a chance to look at the desserts. It was a very humiliating experience. This place is definitely not recommend if you are going for a romantic dinner. You would expect better service if you’re spending over £80-90 . The food was okay. But will never go back ever again.

Popped in for a spot of lunch. Lovely service. My Tom Kha Gai was delicious. Larb Gai was a really generous portion and very tasty. Will return.

A great find in Reading. There is plenty of room in this restaurant, and the staff are very friendly. The food portions are really generous and the quality is very good. I ordered the chicken Tom Yum which was delightful, but I had food envy over my partner's chicken Tom Kha. The Larb Gai main course was nice, but was made with lemon juice, whereas lime juice would have added an extra tart flavour, but this was more of a personal preference. The chilli lamb was excellent, and was just the right heat. Also the green papaya salad was nicely presented and lived up to expectations. All in all this was a very pleasant dining experience, and I will definitely be back in future.

Lovely food served on hot plates

Excelente comida y personal encantador y acogedor. Enormes porciones y gran alcance en el menú. Teníamos un vegetal, un gluten libre y un carnívoro en nuestro grupo de 3 y cada uno de nosotros tenía una amplia gama para elegir. Desde el punto de vista vegetariano (yo) la tempura vegetal era fantástica y el tofu Pad Thai era genial - el tofu a veces puede ser un desastre robusto, pero esto estaba bien cocinado, condimentado y presentado

The BEST Thai restaurant in Reading! Our family went there for lunch. The place was completely full but the staffs ensured that we seated fairly quickly. We just LOVE this little non-pretentious authentic Thai place. The food is so good and the price is unbeatable for the location, the ambient, the quality and the presentation! Their staffs are also the best!

Fantastic as always! We went for Christmas lunch today, the food was great, every dish was so delicious and with a very authentic Thai taste. The service was extremely professional. Apart from the amazing food, the restaurant is impeccably decorated and both classy and Cosy at the same time. I hugely recommend visiting here as it is one of the top Thai restaurants just outside of London. It is also a family run business by 3 Thai sisters who all obviously care and want to deliver a truly authentic experience. A1+++

Fantastic spot. Came at 7pm on a Friday and the place was packed. Friendly staff, quick service, and very hospitable. Tofu salad as a starter was one of the best dishes, highly recommend. Duck stir fry and noodle for main were also fabulous. Large menu, and dedicated vegetarian menu if that’s your thing. One of the best value spots I’ve been to in Reading.

The food is always very good, but as we tend to eat at lunchtime there are not too many eating too.

Don't try Tom yam. Other than that everything is fine.

Authentic Thai food. Good portions, quite pricey but worth it. Pineapple fried rice was quite dry but other meals were really good.

This is the best Thai restaurant in Reading. The food here is amazing with an excellent choice in the menu. Staff are professional, polite, and friendly and always willing to assist you when needed. The restaurant itself is always clean and tidy and has a cosy atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant A+++++

I ordered a Lamb Chili dish costing £14. There was hardly any lamb in the dish. It was mostly vegetables. Very disappointed. The service wasn't brilliant either. They kept ignoring us

Central but away from the bustle Thai restaurant with quick, friendly service. The noodles were reasonable but not outstanding and my Kwaitie Kee Mow Tofu could have been more spicy. I was surprised there were no vegetarian red/green curry shown on the standard menu though there was a vegetarian section at the end. Less than £20 each for a meal and drink with the service charge.

The seating is like being on a thai Airways flight in Economy.

Disastrous meal,.main course was served to a table two away from us which only transpired when the rest of their / our food was delivered. The staff then microwaved said meal and sent it to us!

I ordered Thai curry as I was so hungry and was expecting ab excellent food from this restaurant however I was disappointed by getting uncooked broccoli. I have clicked a picture if you would like to see.

Wow, one of the best Thais iv ever had anywhere. Food was great and staff friendly. Special menu had some great additional options.

The service is as good as the food, I was part of a table for 12, not one complaint or moan. The food can only be described as another level. We all agreed, it was a fantastic meal, and we'd all happily return.

My experience in Thai Corner (consider food is normal), not too heavy taste nor delicious as I thought They give us the wrong order, while the rest is all consider normal (noting so special) but if you loved to try Thai food, you can always visit in Reading for (Thai Corner) for Thai delicates Tomyam soup (5/10) Mango Sticky Rice (7/10) Vegetable (7.5/10)

Pleasant staff but food horrible. Thom yum soup had some dislocate mushrooms bobbing around and chicken that looked flaccid and grey. All the worse because I had asked for tofu. The main was nasty soggy tofu in a gloopy sauce. Not to be attempted again

Got takeaway, really good food in Reading (which is slightly lacking in good places to eat)

Friday night - so we booked ahead. Arrived at 0730pm, shown straight to our table. And it was crowded, the tables are close together which in a Thai restaurant is to be expected. But it's never so crowded you can't have a conversation with your tablemates. When we arrived the menus were on the table, and orders were taken quickly. Being busy the drinks and food took slightly longer than we've had in the past when we've eaten midweek, but it was still absolutely fine. The Thai white wine is worth trying if you enjoy good wine!! More importantly, the food was superb. Full of flavour, the spicy selection were indeed rather spicy yet the flavours came through. The portions are as large as they ever have been, the quality of the ingredients is still superb, and the service is as we've come to expect. We've been going to the Thai Corner for many years, and it's the only restaurant we continue to go to in all these years that still maintains the highest standards. It has got more expensive in the past five years; it's no longer a "let's just go to Thai Corner for dinner tonight", it's now more a treat. Given the food, service and experience I think we got away with a bit of a bargain in the past.... it's not cheap, but is good value.

The atmosphere is the best when eating here! The price is reasonable, The location is in the city center.

THE WORST takeaway I’ve had in the last couple years! Genuinely the food was a complete joke!! overcooked meat in terribly bland watery curry sauces, don’t get me started on them excuse of satay skewers! TINY and again completely bland. How this place has any positive reviews is concerning!!! NEVER will will order from this joke of a place again!! Refund pending!

A Thai restaurant that I would like to praise. The food is delicious and tastes like eating in Thailand. Just have to ask for more chilli. (I personally eat a lot of spicy food.) Friendly service, good atmosphere, not expensive food, reasonable prices. I recommend it to anyone who comes to this city. before returning and giving more fruit (Fruits for merit making) Thank you very much.

Lovely place to visit with great service

The food was very good we had the silver set menu for 4 as choosing from the menu would have taken us too long! We liked some dishes more than others in the selection (as you would expect) but all the food was hot and tasty. It was very busy and we waited a few minutes for our table to be ready, but it was great to see it so busy. There is not anywhere to wait however so we did get in the way a bit! Nice atmosphere if a bit noisy due to the amount of people dining. The biggest joy was the lovely staff, very prompt delightful service for food and drinks. A Great experience worth a try, is different from Coconut Bar our other favourite place to eat. We will go again for sure.

Dropped in to my favourite best restaurant in Reading town centre. Always love it at TC. Come here again often for a table and also often to pick up a take away.

Very welcoming and very busy for a Tuesday night! Main course took ages to come out which they apologised for this however if they were aware they could have apologised earlier and offered a gesture. Main courses were delicious but presentation slightly underwhelming. A simple piece of lime slice garnish on the side could have helped lift the dish flavours.

While on a day out in Reading, we had a craving for Thai food. The Thai Corner was perfect.

Lovely ambient Thai restaurant in the centre of Reading. Food was lovely, service can't be faulted. We turned up without a booking and got lucky, I would suggest that booking in advance is a sensible plan.

Very delicious Thai meal! The pineapple fried rice is fragrant and tasty. The veggies are flavorful. The fish is crispy and well spiced. Tom Kha is a coconuty yet no less refreshing alternative to Tom Yum. Thanks for the prompt and attentive service for our large group!!

Staff are so great, they even hold the door open for you when you leave 😊 How ever if you are splitting the bill don’t say 50/50. I mean this in a positive way.

I'm not sure I have ever eaten here before despite living in Reading for many years. A fried of mine is very fond of this place & his choice didn't disappoint as the food was very good, fried Tofu a particular bonus! Would agree that the tables are packed tightly together so that doesn't help with the noise although we were quite protected from the worst of in our corner seat. Certainly happy to eat here again.

I’ve been in Reading for some business meeting recently and we resolved the usual “what do we do for lunch” question by picking the closest place on Trip Advisor. On the first visit, the place was practically empty and despite thinking “oh oh, could be a sign” we stuck with it and were rewarded with great food. There’s a Set Menu for lunch as well as the A la Carte and I had Tom Yum soup with prawns, and chicken and egg fried rice for main. Both dishes were fresh tasting, piping hot and didn’t need any seasoning as they were so well cooked. On the second visit, the place was packed but the service wasn’t affected, and the food was as good as the first time. Well worth a visit.

Excellent and polite service. Reasonable choices available for vegetarians. Maybe a bit expensive now? £12 for the main course. Rice - £4.50 But tasty.🙂

Booked us in at short notice on a busy Saturday night, asked us to leave by a certain time that was reasonable. Great service and superb food, would definitely return. Did not expect to eat here so very pleasant surprise.

Stopped by for lunch. Great environment and services but the food is disappointing. Tom yum soup is more like seasoned water. Chicken is incredibly big hence not flavorful. Really could be better.

I've long wanted to try the food here. The other night, it wasn't as busy as usual, so I entered and ordered a takeaway, to eat at my hotel. What can I say, it was terrific. The chicken green curry had fantastic flavour, rich and subtle notes swirling around my taste buds. They use very good quality chicken. And the plentiful vegetables were delicately cooked and blended with the sauce and the rice. The crispy squid came in a generous portion and substantial pieces. The textures of the brittle batter and the flexible tentacle meat combined and contrasted perfectly. The Sai Ua sausage portion was surprisingly big, comprising several large, thick, tangy slices. I ordered the sausage in case the curry wasn't filling. But the curry made me so full up that I couldn't finish the sausage. So this meal was excellent and a real treat. If you are staying in the nearby hotels and want a Thai meal, I recommend Thai Corner above the one next to the shopping mall. On this evidence, their food is in a different league.

Great lunchtime menu with lots of options - I had the prawn toast and green chicken curry - both were delicious. Only cold drinks are listed on the menu - hot mint and green teas are available on request.

Great food and a great place to eat...

I first ordered stir-fry flat noodle and stir-fry pork. That was an amazing experience as I cannot fault anything at all. I would 100% reccommend this restaurant to anyone. Please visit if you are in Reading.

An extremely "meh" experience. Food is ordinary, at best. The Tom Yum was filled with button mushrooms instead of black mushrooms, and it tasted like it was from a jar. The main dish was not terrible but not terribly fresh and rushed. Service was nice but they were very devoted to preparing for the next day's service so they could leave timely than taking care of the customers there. And the atmosphere is, I don't know what, but not Thai.

Add this to your list of cozy places. Fantastic atmosphere. Their chicken is Halal. Food is tasty. Ordered various dishes and everything was very tasteful. The Chicken Spur Soup was a bit odd as it had more mushrooms than Chicken. Also every dish looked like it was frozen and not made fresh. The taste is great though. And the service quality is excellent.

Absolutely struck by the wonderful lighting and atmosphere on appearance. We ordered the Thai Red chicken curry and it's safe to say it blew out our expectations by a landslide, still one of my favourite foods to date. The waiters were as friendly as you get, and wait times for food were relatively low. Great food, great service, great environment, no reason to give it anything lower than it's well deserved 5 stars.
