Relaxed atmosphere excellent Thai food for both eat in and take away.

We love eating in, and do so regularly but the last 2 home deliveries were so meagre. Never again.

I had some Seafood Platter, vegetable spring rolls and Pad Thai. The taste of fish was ok but Pad Thai was way below the level than I had expected. I tried Lemongrass in Chichester with which I was impressed. Obviously it differs from one location to the other. Would I go again? Probably not. It is a good restaurant but I had higher expectations. Seafood platter was not worth for £22 as there was not enough fish for two there.

Our favourite place in Hove for a lovely lunch. We usually go once a week with our grandchildren. The lunchtime set menu is quite comprehensive, it consists of a tapas style selection all served on one plate. It also includes 1 drink. Service is always excellent. Can’t wait to go back next week!😊

The men are so king we come on a monthly basis for their amazing tapas that is around 13-14 pound per person the food is amazing and they always go the extra mile to be kind to you

Had a delivery last night. Wasn’t very impressed. Sure it’s better to dine in but after being blown away with a competitor opposite the previous night it was a tough act to follow.

Our favourite take away! Very tasty Thai food and always very quick to prepare the food. Duck curry is especially nice. Dining in is nice too, especially out on the terrace.

We went on Saturday, we were welcomed into a lovely clean friendly restaurant, it was a birthday meal, the 7 of us had never been to the Hove one before, just a couple of friends had been to the Rustington one, (which they said was lovely)😁 The service was fantastic 👍 the food was unbelievable delicious 👌 😋😋🤩 they even came out with ice cream with a candle and sung happy birthday 😊(not sure if the cards and gifts gave it away)😆and then a gift 🎁 🥰 😁we are all going back soon, I can't recommend this place enough 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

lovely food as always-very rich Thai green curry, which was delicious, but we needed to share it as it was a bit too rich for one person. It was annoying that the vegetarian version didn’t include tofu, and we would have had to ask for this separately, they didn’t ask us.(It was clear we are veggie ). Service was very quick, and they did seat us very quickly for a Saturday evening.. the atmosphere in the restaurant this evening felt very smoky, I’m not quite sure why, but we did find it tricky and were coughing a lot

Lemongrass Hove is a great Thai restaurant located in the heart of Hove. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I highly recommend Lemongrass Hove to anyone looking for a great Thai meal.

Staff were helpful offering sensible suggestions and advice, prices were highly competitive, menu extensive and food was delicious. The place has a great ambience and one is able to hold a conversation without having to raise one's voice as is so often the case in some place. We'll certainly come again, Thanks.

The food was delicious & although banana fritters weren’t on the menu, they went out and bought bananas, so they could cook them for us. Service was a little slow, but they were pleasant. I judge restaurants by their food, service & the cleanliness of the toilets. The toilets were very clean!

Food is as good as in Thailand. Always fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to go back. Service is always good too. Even my little daughter enjoys the pad thai. I always have Tom Yam soup which is as good as in Thailand.

I just payed £6.50 for spring rolls those of which I assumed would be a portion in correlation to the price, but instead I received 3 small rolls ! I actually went back in to check they hadn’t made a mistake!

Fantastic local Thai restaurant on the main street in Hove. We had the set menus (£14 for a large selection of food and a drink-fantastic value), and everything was great. Service is friendly and efficient.

Amazing food, great staff and such a reasonable price especially as we didn’t hold back on the alcohol… thank you for a making my birthday meal very special

9.25£ for two spring rolls, enough said. Edit: the “extremely hot” phad kee mao, was barely spicer than paprika. Just averagely bland and extremely overpriced for a lack of flavour

Great flavours and fantastic ingredients, maybe turned the chilli level down for locals, but would happily return and ask for a bit more chilli.

Starter main absolutely delicious had mixed platter for starters and Pad thai with king prawns for main . Fresh ingredients attentive staff and nice atmosphere can’t wait to try more dishes .

Lunchtime meal arranged for 8 people, staff friendly, environment OK, bar prices a little high but within acceptable limits, but food only qualifies as OK Main meal portions and puddings tend to be quite large, while starters were for the most part small and generally disappointing. The biggest disappointment was the quality of the food experience. The roasts were pretty tasteless, potatoes and veg seemed to have been hanging around for a long time, so were pretty dead on the plate. Puddings varied, but generally speaking were too big after a large main, and most of the group gave up once they had eaten about a half portion. Not the worst eatery in town by a long way, but disappointing and at around thirty five pounds per head with just a glass of wine with the meal, not the cheapest

Had the massaman curry and seafood sizzler from chef’s recommendation. The food was really good. Seafood was very spicy. Staff was super nice. I wasn’t a big fan of the massaman curry but it had a different flavour. Their meat is halal!☺️

Good food, however the service could have been better. We weren’t asked if we wanted more drinks and had to ask for the desert menu after sitting a long while after the mains had gone.

Great service and lovely good will visit again

I wasn’t expecting much as the decor lacked restaurant finesse but we were soon settled by the superb, friendly service and delicious, good value food. Satay chicken tasted fresh and light - three skewers seemed good value! Then two of us shared the sizzling beef with a side of mixed veg and jasmine rice - amazing flavours! Food arrived very quickly after ordering. Bathroom was worth mentioning just because it was larger and plusher than you’d expect. To improve: chairs seemed like garden furniture - at odds with the rest of the decor - which made it feel more cafe rather than restaurant. (Appreciate that requires a large outlay to fix). Some background music would have been nice - could hear a faint radio from the kitchen.

Have eaten at Hove many times & really enoyed the prawn crackers & my fave beef massaman curry. Lovely chunks of tender beef & amazing massaman flavours - never disappoints. We ate early evening on Thursday 3/11/22, friendly attentive staff, welcoming restaurant with well spaced tables & of course the smart toilets! Will be back soon.

Awful, a failed attempt at food

Great little place. Service is always very good and the food is lovely. We come here weekly and would recommend it to anyone.

Four of us enjoyed the tapas selection with a Thai beer for one, and a lot of Prosecco for three! As previously, this was for lunch, off the tapas menu, but there's a more heavyweight "dinner" menu available for the really hungry. Our portion sizes were generous, but we just had room for ice creams (which really are creamy) and zingy sorbet. Staff is charming. Price: 4 tapas, 4 puddings, one beer, 2 bottles Prosecco - £138, which included 10 percent service charge (optional). And a lovely time had by all in a clean, modern setting.

Lovely food, good portion sizes! Only slightly misleading aspect is the menu outside the restaurant shows a set menu of the Thai tapas which is what we fancied however when we entered got told that was just for lunch which it didn’t state on the menu. Service was very good, very attentive clearing empty glasses, plates etc. Would recommend.

Just wonderful ,had a few dinners here. Food is exceptional. Service is fantastic. Decent pricing. Lovely restaurant interior and oh my God the bathrooms! The bathrooms are like something from a 5 star hotel! Always very clean and smells of lemongrass.

Wow! They’ve really improved the quality. 7 of us are here. We only came as I couldn’t book anywhere else short notice. I’m so glad we ate there. The quality has improved so much from a couple of years ago. Top quality ingredients, flavours and attentive and friendly staff. Very reasonable too. We had starters, mains, sides and lots of large beers at £20 per head. Will defo be going more regularly. My sister rated it higher than her meal at giggling squid (which has gone down hill we think).

Used restaurant for home delivery. I had Pha Thai, my boyfriend Phad Mee. I am going one star down. Come on guys having beef Pha Thai with 3 little pieces of meat only. Othervise taste good.

Decent Thai tapas but was very rushed.

My family visit this time around, Thai curries are still the best...

Foods were nice. Staffs were excellent. However, the price….goshhh !! compared to portions we got were, they were no where near acceptable. There’s A thai restaurant literally the opposite, which has the same quality of foods WITH BETTER PRICE !!.

I ate here recently I just had a vegetable green curry and sticky rice which was delicious however I have to ask for extra chilli fresh no problem they had it. Sone corinancer on the side would. have been a nice touch. I like fried tofu and cashew nuts...in my vegetable curry. I have to agree th starters are just okay I had dim sum. they can be a bit too greasy...I do agree that the curry can be a bit too sweet and a bit too creamy to be authentic I d prefer slightly less creamy and more attention to the base stocks for meat fish or vegetable but overall i liked it. We are going again tonight so look forward to it. The result tonight was the same I suppose on ly the starter with corn was stale corn it was dried up I still ate it as I like corn fritters and the tempura veg well better to miss out a raw onion in a ring and a soggy red pepper why not cuaulitlfowrer or mange tout they would be nicer.

Me and my partner just ordered from them. We ordered prawns and got beef! We don't eat meat. We've recently reintroduced fish to our diet and wanted to try something different to our usual home cooking. My partner almost ate a piece before we realised it was beef and definitely not prawns. When we notified them of the error, they offered to refund the cost of the dish. We're still hungry and quite underwhelmed.

Walked in randomly and boy did we enjoy it! Very clean restaurant, food is so tasty, well balanced (albeit spicy) and presentation doesn’t disappoint! Highly recommended

I ordered a take away form this restaurant and I had to throw the food away as it was extremely salty.

Excellent food, good prices. For lunch, I would recommend the set menus as they are quite filling and you get a decent variety of items on your plate. At dinner time, the set menus may not be there but the curries are still to die for. We had both vegetarian and meat dishes; all were tasty.

We ordered chiken curry but it did not taste like curry at all. Very runing water like. No serve, the man was extremely rude, took 20 minutes to get attention,then ignore you again, should not treat anybody like this especially your customers. 35 pounds meal taste horrible straight to the bin, even though we are so hungry.Never go back in my life again.

It's about as far from Thai as I am from the moon. Deep fried yuk with some dips. No idea why they bother, May as well open a tyre shop, tyres will have more taste

My partner and I enjoyed the set menu lunch tapas dishes, that came with a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink. The restaurant was able to replace certain dishes with others and advised us which of the meats were Halal. May and Ray were super hosts and the food was excellent.

All dishes we ordered were really flavoursome and fresh. Really enjoyed their takeaway food which was prepared and delivered promptly.

Great food, and service was amazing! There's a lovely outdoor seating area, and the tables indoor are spaced a nice distance away from you so you feel like you have some privacy.

Tasty food and friendly service. With the front of the restaurant opened up completely it felt well ventilated.

Spent £70 on Deliveroo here, had to ring to see where it was as time kept going back on the app, arrived late. When it turned up, two main dishes were missing so had to phone Lemongrass back up to be told I would have to contact Deliveroo for a refund, then waited 50 further minutes for the mains to arrive. All in all, a complete and utter disaster, food wasn’t great, average at best, especially the two late arrivals, which were barely touched after everything.

Got the set menu for takeaway, very fast delivery and good portions. The mixed starter was decent (everything came with 2 pieces), but the mains were not great - both the green curry and beef dishes were too sweet - seems like the chef put way too much sugar in it and the noodles were very oily. Would probably try somewhere else next time.

It's my birthday this evening so we just ordered a family meal from this fabulous restaurant. All our food was delivered by Deliveroo exactly as promised. Each dish was beautifully wrapped and piping hot. I can't enthuse about the food from Lemongrass enough, it's superb! We've been to Thailand and we've ordered Thai food from many restaurants but this place is outstanding. I had Tom Kha Gai soup and Chicken Mussaman Curry, both of which were excellent. My wife had Green Curry and my Son had Penang Curry which were amazing. Thank you to the whole Lemongrass team and to Deliveroo who made my birthday simply perfect.

We booked here for evening meal while staying in the area. We did not realise it was a chain when we booked as we normally like to visit independent restaurants when on holiday. That being said, I think they are only a local chain with a few branches. The restaurant was very covid secure, we had to wait at the door before they took our details and we had to hand santise on entry. The tables were well spread out and the staff were wearing masks. There was loads to chose from on the menu and the prices were reasonable. The food was excellent, I had the Pad Thai. There was a 10% service charge listed on the bill which we didn’t mind, but I can’t recall seeing it mentioned in the menu before we’d ordered.

A tad chaotic when we were waiting for them to open (the staff were still having their dinner), however food came quickly and was great. They were so lovely to our children and very COVID aware. Yummy !

We popped in here on a Saturday lunchtime for the other half’s birthday. We didn’t want anything to big as we were also out in the evening for a meal so the Thai Tapas was ideal.£12.95 for a Thai Tapas and a drink (Singha, wine or soft drinks) was excellent value! All tapas come as 4 dishes/bowels on 1 large plate. All the food we had was amazingly tasty and bursting with Thai flavours! With a selection of about 10 different tapas set menus to choose from, all with 4 different tapas on each there really is something for everyone! Now planning when we can go there for an evening meal as lunch was so dam good!

After eating at Lemon grass I would certainly eat Thai again. The meal was delicious. The crispy duck pancakes and prawn starter excellent. Also the sea bass with noodles main dish was cooked to perfection

Have visitedBe continued the help out to eat out scheme. here before but a couple of years ago . Very impressive with all the vivid precautions and all staff wearing masks is something I’ve not seen in a restaurant since The COVID has been with us and was very reassuring. The food and service were superb and a real bonus. Food arrived quickly and was excellent in presentation and quality .
