BUA THAI in Brighton and Hove

Kn9b2 and I had a takeaway from this restaurant last night and we were very impressed with the quality and quantity of food. We will definelty be returning back for more.

Special Thai Fried Rice with tofu is amazing!

Tasteless and expensive. First and last time.

Amazing food we came in here not expecting much but the food was really really good. I would suggest take away as the seating is very limited.

Asked for no carrot in yellow curry and they put it in. Not enough potato or peppers in there either. Duck spring rolls delicious as always and no complaints with the rest of the order.

We had three takeaways during a lazy few days in brighton and this was by far the best. Great food, really reasonable price and everything was delicious. Not as good as Bangkok Lounge in Shefford though so might be worth making the journey there instead. Awesome overall though :)

The seating area is not the most comfortable, but the food was brought out quick and it was good food. Proper Thai.

I stayed at Home Brighton which is pretty much next door and got takeaway from Bua Thai. The service was quick and the food was very nice. It was very noisy in the takeaway waiting for my food with the whole family running about and kids tv on!

Wonderfully hot day today. And tell you what, this was fantastic! Good dumplings, chicken satay, stir fry prawns and pad Thai. Just a really enjoyable meal. Thanks.

Starters flavoursome and well packaged ,massaman curry the best I've ever had and yellow curry tasty but could do with more potato. Definitely ordering from this restaurant again

A rather basic place to eat in at - it's not designed around diners, more delivery - but the food is excellent and the people who run it are as well.

Fast service, friendly and really good food! Really enjoyed my Pa Nang curry with coconut rice, and complimentary prawn crackers.

We called in here for drinks when on our Christmas Social evening. A short walk from the lanes and it was really busy when we visited good selection of ales and good service.

We came here and thought we'd try the food as we hadn't visited a Bella Italia for a long time, we ordered the gramigna pasta and somewhat got fusilli instead?? The food was tasty but pasta portion size was a bit small compared to other Italian restaurants.

I love Bella Italia bur I have to say this is not what i expected to have as in other cities. Won't come back again!

Duck was extremely fatty and chewy. Salmon was relatively nice but did not appear to be the best cut, also rather stringy in places. Still quite nice. Not pleased with Just Eat as they make a price pomise that they then weasel out of honouring despite me proving 3 different ways that I could have bought the same food from the same restaurant for less money. Their Price "Promise" is not worth the electrons it was written with.

They answered the phone immediately, met me where I said I was, delivered the food when they said they would. It was absolutely delicious. Perfect service thank you!

Quick delivery, Tom kha soup great portion size and flavours, egg fried rice perfect, deep fried dumplings lovely flavour and the yellow curry tasty (not the best most authentic full of flavour I’ve eaten but still ate everything and enjoyed it)

I has the Massaman curry and it was not authentic or anything like what I had in Thailand. Very, very disappointing.

One of the best jungle curries I have ever had. Chicken satay was good quality cuts of meat and sauce was nice. Salt and pepper squid was cooked well. Also dried the prawn and pork dumplings all very good. Takes a while to come but it was worth it!

Starters delicious but putting potatoes in a curry sauce seems mean - potatoes on rice = carbohydrate on carbohydrate

Quite greasy pad Thai, chicken a bit rubbery not enough veg or chicken in the massaman curry, starters didn’t seem fresh. Ok if you want a basic Thai for hangovers, but by no means high end.

We ordered a takeaway from here, it was pretty quick, and so tasty! They offered us fancier rice when they’d run out of jasmine rice, for no extra charge, and the curries and pad Thai we got were lovely! No complaints, feeling stuffed and in heaven. Delicioso!

Tasty food but it did turn up 20 mins late than it said it would. Thought it was still hot.

Not particularly nice food – the curry was very thin and insipid, and the noodles didn't have any fresh herbs. Everything was a bit old-looking and bland, with too much sugar. Couldn't make out much in the way of papaya in the papaya salad. Garlic rice was OK.

So disappointed, will not be ordering from again. Red curry was full of loads green beans and carrots and the curry itself was watery and tasted nothing like a red curry at all. It was dreadful. Chicken satay was several skewers of chicken thrown into a container of very questionable looking sauce. Dry chicken and not tender. I hate wasting money on awful food and that is what this order was.

The food did not taste fresh, the curry and stir fry were too watery, the rice was also watery. The ribs were unedible, and tasted as if they had been reheated. The portion size seemed halved and everything was very salty. We have ordered from here in the past and it has been much better, I don't know if they have changed their chef but we won't be ordering again and it's also very overpriced.

Food is nice, unfortunately they left part of a plastic wrapper in the food. The Just Eat accused me of lying about it. BUT the food is ok

Food was underwhelming .Tofu Pad thai was bland with no vegetables and stir fry veg was salty and watery. Both dishes at £8.95 it Very expensive for what it was. Sorry , wont be re-ordering from them

It's a bit expensive, £7.50 for a squid appetiser, but it is actually pretty good considering it's on Just-eat, very flavourful and better quality than some other Thai places on here

Never tried here before, went off the reviews. So glad I did, the food was amazing!!! Chicken pad Thai cooked beautifully and full of flavour and the mixed starter was really good too! Will definitely be back! Also the delivery guy was so lovely and really polite!

Frozen veg with egg fried rice.why?. Temura was poor. Not value for money

Ordered for the 1st time . Was really impressed , had a healthy stir fry , catered to perfectly as I'm diabetic they followed my special instructions , it was so delicious my son got off his xbox to come all the way down the stairs to see what " that nice smell " was all about lol , ive only 1 slight criticism and thats they still using plastic tubs ( so are most of the world but every little helps right ? )

Had a takeaway the other night and i think it was one of the saltiest meals i have ever eaten. I know that takeaway food is high in salt and fat but this was off the scale when it came to salt.

The food would be ok if the sauce was a sauce, its like water, literally! Both our dishes were extremely runny, the taste was not too bad but simply doesn't satisfy the thai craving.

Wow! The best thai food EVER! Its not often that anything gets a 5 star from me! The food turned up and was given to me at a social distance very respectfully. My freind and I opened the meals the food was hot still, second tick in the box for me. Then I opened my meal which was pad thai with seafood. Wow! Beautifully presented, it even had a couple of muscle shells and muscles inside! Then I noticed a wedge of lime, always better than lemon on thai food ;). Both of us sat pretty much in silence, a first for us as we love talking! My freind had vege pad thai, she really loved it! We both commented on how amazing the food was! Yum yum yum...when can I order next from them?!!

Great food as always, shame about the delivery this time, demanded we come collect in the middle of the street rather than delivering to door, also was pretty clearly unhappy to be doing it, very different to previous delivery drivers.

Green curry too oily not as creamy as others

The mixed seafood Thai green curry was delicious. Big juicy prawns, muscles and squid. Lovely.

We have ordered Prawn Pad Thai and got chicken instead, the Tofu Pad Thai was more like Pad thai with over fried old bread, poor quality, won't be ordering again

The pad Thai was horrible. I couldn’t eat it. The same sauce was used on the noodles than was delivered as a dipping sauce for the fish cakes. It’s the worst I’ve tried. The food came really quick so alarm bells were ringing because of that too.

Ordered beef panang curry but chicken arrived. The chicken special Thai fried rice was awesome and the free prawn crackers was yummy. The som tum was delicious too. The pad see Kew was o-kay.

Excellent quality food yet again, arrived piping hot. Will be there ordering again.

This was just what I needed during lockdown as most of the Chinese takeaway’s have closed, with Chinese being my favorite food, I could not find a decent one anywhere, these guys made me a happy man thank you, great service, fab food, will definitely use again 5 STARS

It was a lockdown Sunday night and we were tired of cooking for ourselves and decided on Thai takeaway. Our normal provider was closed and these guys were open and so fingers crossed we decided to give them a go. Wowza - way better than normal. Chicken Satay in a delicious spicy peanut sauce rather than the normal bland souped up peanut butter, delicious Thai fish cakes and salt & pepper squid, outstandingly piquant Yum Nuea beef salad followed by two scrumptious curries and a serviceable Pad Thai. Delivered exactly on time as well - so these guys will be our new normal...!!!

If you like Thai food, this is not the place to order it from. The tempura batter was not tempura, it was not light batter, it was the heavy batter you use for sweet and sour chicken or pork balls, and it wasn't fully cooked through. The Golden Prawns were not very nice either (again, the batter was too thick and greasy) The noodles were greasy. The Hoi Sin Sauce that came with the duck seemed to have been watered down, it was very runny and not very tasty.

Delivery fee was meant to be £2.99 but came out to be £6.99 after I’d already confirmed the payment. Dodgy
