Absolutely amazing little place. We visited on a Monday night and didn't have to wait to be seated. The food was amazing and very helpful service. The place was clean and we will definitely go again.

Love for Thai cuisine! We found this restaurant during a weekend in Brighton. An amazing, relaxed experience. The female staff were wonderful and attentive and we appreciated the friendliness. Delicious food. Had a 3 course Mon-Fri lunch menu £18.50 and it was fantastic, the king prawns in the soup were big and fresh but we waited a very long time for each course to be served. Maybe because there was only 1 waitress for the entire restaurant. But I hope to return here on my next Brighton holiday.

Excellent restaurant serving cracking Thai food. Great staff who advised which combinations would suit us best. Excellent value and very good quality. Definitely worth a visit, and make sure you start with the prawn crackers

Portions are small, taste is ordinary, prices are more expensive than others.

Had a lovely meal here with friends. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The menu was large and there was plenty of choice with many dishes offering a choice of meats or vegetarian options. Service was good, and the whole represented excellent value for money.

Thai people say The best taste of Thai food you will find outside of Thailand. Only 3 stars for atmosphere because they were playing western pop music! Why not play Thai music in a Thai restaurant?

Stumbled across this gem on a recent day trip to Greece. Had the 2 course , Mon - Fri, lunch menu and it was fantastic! Washed down with a large (620ml) ice cold lager. Definitely worth a second visit.

First visit here whilst staying in Brighton. Greeted by a lovely waiter and we were given a choice of where we would like to sit. Ordered prawn crackers, chicken satay, pork belly and crispy duck to start. All delicious and fresh. For the main course we ordered tamarind duck and the stir fry basil with beef and jasmine rice. Personal preference was the basil dish was a little too spicy for me (it did state spicy on the menu so was prepared for that), however that said it was tasty and the beef delicious. We shared a bottle of wine and our bill was very reasonable with good service. We would recommend and visit again.

Terrific service and food, choice of veggie and vegan gluten-free dishes, everything very tasty indeed. I'll be back :)

We had a chilled evening at Sabai tonight. Delicious, mouth watering dishes, served by welcoming, friendly staff. Satay Hed was tdf and Pad Broccoli was cooked to perfection. Finished with green tea and peanut butter ice cream...omg. Do yourself a favour and check this place out, if you haven't already.

Very pleasant staff, good food (tasty and well presented) with reasonable prices. The duck and mixed starters went down very well with our group.

The Sabai restaurant is neatly situated in a small square, and has a cosy & comfortable ambience. Extensive menu with plenty of tasty dishes on offer, at reasonable prices. Our food was of excellent quality, and plentiful. Each course was enjoyed, as were the drinks accompanying the food. Service was very friendly & efficient too. I'd have no hesitation in returning to this very fine restaurant.

We enjoyed wonderful food in a relaxed atmosphere. The service was perfect and the easy conversation and charm of the young waiter from Sardinia added to our visit. We will definitely eat here again.

I do not recommend at all… Food was not good, meat is cheap and chewy, within the rice and pad Thai dishes. Pad Thai very oily and tasteless. Very small portions for the price especially the quarter duck, one handful, rest is decorations on a plate and charging over £17!! We sent out mains back as the meat was rough, and when we got the bill the owner tried charging us £12 for eating one prawn in the main. We tried it and it was all terrible, we left starving. Owner was rude and not understanding and to try and rip us off on our bill was a joke. Service is slow we waited ages for our order to be taken and charging £5 for 6 prawn crackers. When really should be complimentary considering the small food and high prices. Will never return, this is not a 4 star place at all!

Loved the food, ambience and the service.

We had a lovely meal with our Godson on Wednesday and thoroughly enjoyed all of it. He is strict Vegan and said how great the food was for him. The staff were lovely and the service really good. My only complaint is that the restaurant wasn’t very warm, but saying that, it was an extremely cold night, but that wouldn’t put us off coming again. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Slightly off the beaten track, but well worth seeking out. Red curry was sweet, spicy and tangy, service was lovely and even the cheesy hits of the 80s on the restaurant PA couldn't effect how much I enjoyed the food.

This is a lovely place to spend time eating delish Thai food. Plenty of options and brilliant if you are vegetarian. Really tasty food and a lovely friendly waitress. Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

We've visited twice this year and love that it's a hidden gem in busy Brighton. Nice decor & efficient staff. Toilets need a bit of love though. Food I good & freshly made, but we felt flavours were weak - and the first time I've ever asked for salt for a Thai curry. Recommended though!

As it was near Christmas, we rang by chance to reserve a table which too our surprise was available with little wait time . The most outstanding part of our very enjoyable visit was the excellent attentive staff including , Jay and Claudio . Authentic delicious food served with great presentation and timely . Recommended

Sabai Thai is one of my favourite restaurants anywhere in the world. The food is always outstanding, the welcome professional yet friendly, the ambience and decor stunning. Gina and her team are absolutely amazing. Every time I visit Brighton I make a point of stopping by for dinner.

Lively atmosphere, outdoor and indoor seating, excellent and very authentic Thai food. Staff are Thai and the Somtam and Tom yum gung tasted just like a good restaurant in Southern Thailand. Chang and Singha beers also available.

My 6 year old Thai son and I popped in for dinner this evening and had a really good meal. My son opted for the set dish ‘Thai Smile’ consisting of Rice Noodles, Chicken Satay and Vegetables, accompanied by Moo Ping (BBQ Pork Skewer) I took the Jungle Curry 🌶️🌶️🌶️ with Chicken and Egg Fried Rice. Everything was really good. The host was very friendly talking to my son in Thai which was great. We will be returning because the food was excellent. The host did tell me in Thai that my dish was very spicy but having lived in Isaan Udon Thani I didn’t find the spice level overpowering. We both really enjoyed our visit, my son was also commenting on the beautiful Christmas decorations that he saw on Instagram 🎄🎄

Another wonderful meal at Sabai Thai Gastrobar. The food is always delicious with options for all dietary requirements and children. The food is always hot and served quickly. All of the staff are very friendly and make a visit here a lovely experience. I always come here when wanting a taste of Thailand. I can wait to go back.

Delicious Thai food with generous portions and a cozy atmosphere. My family and I were traveling across Europe and decided to stop in to this restaurant on our way through Brighton, and it was one of the best decisions we made! Their pad thai was amazing and the fried rice was a perfect complement! We ended up ordering additional dishes of both pad thai and fried rice because we enjoyed it so much. Finished our meal with some sticky rice and mango and we were all set to continue our journey. The staff was super friendly! Highly recommend for delicious food and friendly atmosphere.

Honestly, I couldn’t rave about this place more! I’m a lover of Thai food, and this place has always been one of my all time favourites. I can never fault it, the food is incredible and well balanced. There’s such a variety, that you’ll definitely find something for everyone. Their lunch time deals are also insane, such great value for money. As shown in these photos, I’ve gone for both the course set lunch AND the 4 tapas style dishes (a great way to try different things). I’ve been going for years now and will always take family and friends. Definitely go and check it out.

Dropped in for lunch as we were staying in Brighton and thoroughly enjoyed the food and overall experience. Staff very attentive without over doing it, quick and polite service and checked back with us to ensure everything was good. Asked for advice as how hot the Jungle Curry was as I like spicy food however do like to taste it. We had lunch time special menu and we were not disappointed. We will definitely return in the future when we are down again visiting friends. Would recommend without any second thought. Good to see an independent restaurant succeeding. Thank you to all

Didn’t visit- ordered a takeaway- that was dire. The satay way so very dry. The curry was mostly lumps of potatoes ( huge)- and the chicken was dry rather strange medallions. Otherwise rather unremarkable. Please don’t waste your money ordering from here. 😕

MY FAVOURITE PLACE EVER ✨🌟💫 for the first time in year me and my partner have been able to enjoy a incredible meal out. These people are angels, they took our baby for cuddles allowing us to enjoy the delicious food, we usually have to rush but the atmosphere was relaxed and so friendly the food was so authentic Thai!!!! And so so yummy and they are so friendly, will return and I recommend this to anyone wanting to really enjoy thier time eating out and relax, rare to find somewhere you can go with family's and on date night and the atmosphere feel the same!!!!! Incredible food great atmosphere!!!!!!! Can't get over how much our son enjoyed being in there and at 8 months usually hard to eat out!!!!!!! Chefs were Lovley to!!!! All of them. We were here for lunch, we had a platter for starter which was absolutely delicious, drunken noodles and chili basil chicken with sticky rice. Everything was fantastic and the staff were attentive and friendly too.

Totally unfriendly!! We walked inside and the first question was: „sorry, can i help you“ in a totally downcast and unwelcoming voice like we wouldn‘t belong here… totally unacceptable for a restaurant!!

Definitely a good place to go! The pad thai will be a little sweet ,but you can ask for the chilli oil! The oil is very great! They also have the traditional dessert ~ everything is beautiful, and the staff was really patient!

I’d describe this place with just one word “good”. I mean with Thai food most places either fall short or are absolutely amazing, this restaurant doesn’t hit the mark yet. The food here is good, nothing crazy but the staff is accommodating with changes and very nice in general.

Great Thai food at great prices. For those looking for anglicised pseudo Thai I suggest going somewhere else. Having spent time in Thailand eating with locals this in my view the closest I have found in the UK. My go to restaurant in Brighton.

If you like your tom yum to be fresh, tasty and just the right amount of spicy, make it yourself. This place serves onion in theirs! If you like a proper fresh pad thai, go anywhere else. Jeez - burger king could do it better. The dish was loaded up with uniform-sized crinkle-cut carrots. Nothing tastes more of booker foods economy frozen than that. Avoid.
