The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

Average food which was expensive. Chips were disappointing, fish was ok but certainly have eaten much better. Meal for 2 cost £37 with drinks and 1 dessert. Not good value. Wouldn’t return.

Now PIZZA, and excellent! Brilliant service and perfect pizzas, including gluten free option. Really good addition to Holt.

Thought we'd give it a shot to have real seafood, not fish and chips. They do have real seafood, but a very limited menu, and the chef seems to be a bit afraid of spices and salt. Fairly bland food overall, though the balsamic reduction on the veg was nice. It didn't help that when we asked for salt (there was none on the table) it exploded on the side of my wife's plate. Luckily, most of the salt explosion stayed on the side, leaving just enough on the food to make it OK. I didn't argue the bill, but I also don't think I'd return.

Literally the best chippy around. Started going here in the last year and the food is always fantastic. Great portions, staff are friendly. Don't know what I did before I ordered from here!

Naanbab was cooked in a really nice sauce, lots of flavour, pizza was nice, chips were nice and massala fish was lovely, even chili sauce had its own flavour, naans were fresh not bought. I’m hard to impress and I’d go back. Lots of flavour to everything we had. Nice chat with the lady on the counter as well.

Long time to wait for food due to there being one guy taking orders and one doing the food cooking and handing out the orders. Lots of people hanging around by the hatch making it difficult to get through when your number is called, they could do with asking people to stand and wait elsewhere. When our food did arrive one of the orders was wrong although I queried this immediately and was given an immediate cash refund. Chips were nice, not at all greasy although there were rather a lot for one portion with the fish! Perhaps a bit too much batter on the fish also.

Este es el mejor pescado y patatas fritas que he tenido en mucho tiempo. es la 1 vez en la calle que fui a este lugar de pescado y patatas fritas en Brighton donde tenía el pescado y patatas fritas impresionante que el personal hizo un trabajo increíble haciendo la porción correcta de pescado y patatas fritas para mí. Fui a la de Brighton en mayo de 2019 donde vine aquí para una cena de fish and chips. Gran servicio y un gran lugar en el paseo marítimo de Brighton. Paseos justos para los niños menores de 16 años para disfrutar y un pub para los adultos mayores de 18 años. Espero que vuelva a este lugar en algún momento en el futuro.

After all the hype I thought I’d try Umbertos. Ordered fish chips and gravy, and steak pudding chips and peas. Lovely old fashioned beef dripping chips, homemade gravy was ok but just tasted like regular chippy gravy. Steak pudding was enormous and hubby loved it. My fish was average sized and was ok. Overall pleasant and edible

Just very mediocre. Poor quality fish and soggy chips. Overcooked sausage. Was empty on a Saturday night which is an ominous sign. Looks like it's up for sale and they're not really trying.

We have been going to this chippy for years it was always really good but the last few meals we have had have been absolutely disgusting .. Rice was like rice pudding Meal had no taste Chips were awful It was all cold and it wasn’t cheap I’ve given it 4 goes recently and it was all rubbish Won’t be going back sorry

I purchased 1 x medium cod , 1 portion chicken nuggets and 1 x sausage in batter. Only 1 large chips to share and curry sauce and mushy peas . £29 later ….OMG what a rip off!!

Most delicious chips, fish cake and mushy peas I’ve had for some time. Piping hot, crispy, freshly cooked. Simple, basic premises but friendly service and most importantly top class chips and food.
