The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

Normally very good but unable to book a table on their website for a birthday. We are very local, looks closed up and no cars in the car park every time we pass.

This is our second time ordering a vegan option of fish & chips delivered to our home and unlike other reviewers we found it absolutely lovely. It was very slightly oily but no different to most other chip shops and the batter was lovely & crispy. It doesn't look very appetising but it tastes great especially with the lemon juice provided. I even added some more as it really worked well with the flavour. We will definitely order from here again. Lovely size too. My only gripe is that I would like to know the ingredients used to make it & how many calories it contains.

Me and my friend when’s two days running getting different stuff to eat I saw his fish and had to go the second day to try this as it looked amazing and cooked fresh to so I did and I want let down the best fish and chips I’ve had in ages and would definitely recommend to everyone to go there .

Cuando fui al mostrador para que me sirvieran, los dos miembros del personal estaban sentados detrás del mostrador con AirPods y jugando en sus teléfonos. No se dieron cuenta de que estaba en el mostrador y tuve que anunciar que estaba allí, esperando que me atendieran. Pedí con un miembro del equipo y había pedido una salchicha sin rebozar junto con un pescado. Una vez que habían puesto los artículos para cocinar, procedieron a sus posiciones originales (jugando en sus teléfonos mientras estaban sentados detrás del mostrador). Más tarde, comenzaron a terminar mi pedido, y le pregunté si podía comprar una bebida: me encontré con una mirada de ambos miembros del equipo antes de tener que repetir lo que dije. No habían puesto una salchicha sin rebozar para cocinar así que entonces dijeron que pasarían otros 7 minutos después de que todo lo demás estuviera listo. Les dije que tomaría una salchicha rebozada ya que no quería esperar más. Cuando llegué a casa me di cuenta de que se habían perdido artículos del pedido y tuve que volver y recogerlo. Preste atención al pedido y esté presente mientras haya clientes. Trabajo como gerente en hostelería y he trabajado en una tienda de fish and chips yo mismo - se cometen errores y está bien... cuando el personal está prestando atención a los pedidos y clientes.

Barato y a buen precio, pero desafortunadamente no tienen habilidades de comunicación. Muy grosero y grosero. Los niños fueron a poner su propia sal y vinagre en sus papas fritas y gimieron como un pequeño desastre en el mostrador. Posiblemente no tuvieron su Weetabix en la mañana.

What a find! Lovely fish and chips and indoor seating too. Good portion size. Will definitely return. Updated as returned this half term. Food just as good and friendly staff. See you next time we are in area. Returned 13th March as back in area again. As good as ever and comfy cosy eating in area.

Just moved area thought I’d try the local chippy, just paid £18 for this “large” cod & “large” chips and a battered sausage, the only thing they didn’t get wrong was the battered sausage, not even enough chips to feed one person, cod was a child’s portion, chips were undercooked, don’t usually leave reviews but that was awful. Would’ve been a regular customer. Never again.

Worse battered fish I ever had in my life - used to be good a year or so ago and the chips were really nice, but now chips are barely cooked and the fish and batter is sloppy - mushy peas are runny and gravy is like the skin that forms on top of gravy. I don’t know how they make it so bad. Good luck eating anything from here.

I LOVE FISH & CHIPS! Much to the chagrin of my wife and family, I am a very fussy eater. There are many more things in a supermarket that I won't eat compared to what I'm prepared to offer to my mouth. Consequently, the period between order and presentation of food in a pub, restaurant, or even fast-food establishment is fraught with anxiety. I'm always meticulous with my request and am totally bamboozled if the plate/box/package arriving isn't a true representation of my carefully prepared requisition. F & C's, what could go wrong? Whilst a request for "Fish & chips with scraps please" usually results in the arrival of the correct component parts, the taste consistency at most establishments often flatters to deceive. Not so with 'Box-Chippy', which is our colloquialism for Hutton Lane Fish Shop. In 2001, it was the first estate F&C shop we'd ever had our delights served in a box, hence the nick-name. During the intervening 24 years, the number of times Box-Chippy has disappointed can be counted on the male appendages on my lower body. It is without any fear of contradiction, the best and most consistent chippy I've ever experienced. As was the case last Saturday (25th Jan 25), a family group WhatsApp invitation to join my wife and I for 'Box-Chippy' always receives instant acceptance. I'm then dispatched with my wife's hand-written order and verbal instructions to "rush there and hurry back." Satisfaction was purchased, and a table of contented adults ensued. WE ALL LOVE 'BOX-CHIPPY!"

⸻ Absolutely shocking experience – AVOID! We booked brunch at BVLD, which was meant to be £35 per person, with a £10 deposit already paid. When the bill arrived, we were overcharged by £32 each! That’s double what we should have paid. On top of that, four people never even received their mains because the kitchen had “closed,” yet the restaurant still tried to charge for them! We had to fight to get those removed from the bill. They also promised birthday shots, then sneakily added £47 to our bill with NO shots included! Again, they only removed it when we argued with them. The service was unprofessional, the management was dishonest, and the whole experience was a complete scam. If you don’t want to be overcharged, ignored, and lied to, stay far away from BVLD!

Don’t bother getting a delivery from here, the girls couldn’t work slower if they tried. Ridiculous.
