Visiting the beach with my wife and 2 kids after a hot day at work and wanting to treat the kids to fish and chips by the sea. There was a queue when I went to order the chips but with a limited menu choice you would expect fairly quick service. 4 meals ordered at 1817 hours and the order number was 303. I thought they're calling out the mid 270's so it shouldn't be too long. 1 hour later I finally got our meals. 60 minutes to serve 30 customers!!! 1 meal every 2 minutes!!! The young staff behind the counter were drinking, eating and generally chatting and having a laugh. There were numerous customers asking where there meals were and each received the same answer. It was a big order and taking time! A chip shop on the beach should not consider a family of 3 or 4 a big order! Plus averaging only 1 order out every 2 minutes for a busy sea side chip shop is appalling. By the time we'd eaten and were leaving the beach it was another hour later and they were only calling out for order 330 and the customers were actually cheering when they got their food!! Something seriously needs to happen with the organisation and management of this chip shop the young boys behind the the counter obviously cannot be trusted to serve people in a timely manner. Plus they don't even prepare the meals in numerical order. Avoid this place like the plague of you're after half decent service.

Looked forward to the fish n chips, arrived no long queue, 4 people in front of me, a few people waiting, Fast Food this is not… 40 mins it took! I asked for refund it took so long then they appeared….. I only ordered 2 fish n chips! The people working there seemed chaotic, very young and not much urgency…. After all that the batter was tough & chips overcooked & horrible. Not good or fast food

3 of us had scampi, white bait and haddock all served with chips plus a pot of tartare and on of curry sauce. All cooked to perfection and the best chips had for ages - sauces top quality and well worth the extra money. Enjoyed sitting at the pic-nic tables eating the food whilst watching the world go by.

Lovely hot fish and chips! Very scorching day Wednesday which complemented will with a fish and chips. Fish was very fresh, chips were crisp and the staff were so nice. 10/10 recommend over other eating establishments in Mudeford

Lunch The Noisy Lobster Avon Beach located Avon Beach, Christchurch BH23 4AN On a recent trip to Bournemouth we had to make a pit stop by here. The last time we visited here we ate in their restaurant. As it was a glorious sunny day we decided to order from their Lobster hatch and have lunch on the beach. We had a portion of scampi £9.20. A haddock with chips £12. The fish was nice a flacky with crispy batter,just how it should be. All washed down with a couple of halfs £3.50 each. The prices are a bit punchy,but thats to be expected forcthe location. They even have a delicatessen,bakery and shop next door with some delious looking baked goods as well as sandwiches etc. The setting is beautiful, especially when the sun is shining. It's well worth a visit. Our doggies loved it too and Bobby made a new friend on the beach.

It's been a long time since we've eaten at the lobster hatch, and it's been a while since we've had fish and chips this good. Fantastic chips, freshly cooked fish (hence the 10-15 minute wait). Yes, it isn't the cheapest, £12 for haddock and chips or £9 for just the fish. £2.70 for a can of coke is a real kick in the you know whats. Also charging £1.50 for ketchup, mayo and tartare sauce is not cool. You can't include that ? Really ? Would have been a 5 out of 5 if the drinks weren't a rip off and the condiments were included. And would it kill you to give me a slice of lemon ? Having said that, we will return as we both really enjoyed the food.

Very disappointed with the food here today. Despite the premium pricing (£21 for 1x adjust scampi and chips; 1x kids scampi and chips and sauces) the food falls well below expectations. Chips were not even hand cut style - just plain old oven/ catering chips. They’d set you back £4.60 for a small portion! Feels like this place takes advantage of a captive audience. Could - and should be - so much better. Raise the game and be more like chippy on the beach.

Really poor value- over twenty quid for two cans of pop, two bread rolls, a large chips and a small chips. I could have coped with that if it had been nice but the bread rolls were brioche but dry and really hard to chew where they were so dry and possibly slightly on the cusp of freshness…. No butter of spread on them and they were two pound each alone. The chips were ok- but that’s as kind as I can be since they were nothing special and not what I would describe as classic chippy chips. A long wait too- over ten minutes post order until I got the food which is excessive for what in essence was just chips. The only saving grace was the friendly personable service. In summary- really dear and not that great unfortunately

Wow what a great lunch we had today, best fish and chips for years, not at all greasy and extremely good value for money. My husband had the battered sausage, whilst I enjoyed the 'half' haddock, both beautifully cooked though far too much for both of us. Terrific value too, all served with a smile from Andy & Dillon - don't go anywhere else in Mudeford for your lunch. Added bonus was the gorgeous weather today, what could be better than eating delicious typically British nosh and looking out at sea towards the Iow! Fab!!!

Rated ‘poor’ for poor value £££….. £11.80 for a small hot chocolate, small tea, small cake!! . The takeaway on the beach could be priced far more reasonably. Very expensive

Really disappointed that they now use MCCains chips rather than fresh in the takeaway kitchen. Such a shame. Food was fine but not what we were expecting and not what should be used.

Honestly the food was really disappointing! I was really looking forward to some fish and chips by the sea as part of our holiday but we ended up paying a lot of money for catering oven chips and poor quality fish and sausages!

We normally love the Noisy Lobster to eat, slightly pricy but with a view like that who could complain. We decided to go for a walk along avon beach and stop for fish and chips! First of all restaurant prices for take out in card board boxes with disposable knife and forks!! Whilst I can truly appreciate the cost of things rising, and products being more expensive to buy the standard of the take away needed to be mind blowing!! Tasteless chips, overcooked scampi, over cooked chicken pieces was not my idea of mind blowing. If you are charging restaurant prices you need to be sorting this out. Buy better chips, change the oil in the fryer more, put lemon with scampi, don't charge god knows how much for a small ketchup sachet! Or simply reduce your prices, there are plenty of fish and chips shops close by that we could choose and then sit on the tables on the beach. Sadly won't be using the hatch again.

The coffee shack attached to the noisy lobster shack provides what you want for snacks, treats and drinks. The prices are steep £3.90 for flat white which is fine if made correctly but unfortunately you get scolding hot, poorly made drinks. If you want a barista made velvety treat you’ll be let down - if you want a hot caffeine hit with a bit of froth, you are in luck

One of theFinest fish and chips we have ever had... Exceptionally fresh and just very amazing to enjoy together. Jake at the register with Issy and Andy, the chef (AKA The Lunch Time Fun Bunch), were incredibly amicable and conversational, turning the quintessentially British queue into an entertaining experience. The quality of both the food and the service was truly exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will definitely return.

Had some German family over for a visit and they heard so much about our fish and chips. Decided to go to the Lobster hut down on the beach in Mudeford. What a great experience - the guy serving was an absolute gent - great sense of humour and very understanding of our German friends poor English! We had haddock chips, scampi chips, curry sauce and mushy peas. Amazingly fresh and very very tasty- these guys have got it nailed! Get yourself down there for some propa English grub!!! Shout out to Praise, Dylan, Dale and Andy Pandy xxx

Just had haddock and chips for 4 . With tartare sauce. Best fish and chips ever …. Very fresh . One of are party has shellfish allergy …. And was very reassured how fish was cooked . Chloe on the till and Andy the chef were super friendly and chatty making the great British queue a very entertaining place to be . The food and service were equally amazing . Arrived after a long walk along the beach from Highcliffe and found there was a really long queue. Luckily, the staff were amazing and the queue moved really quickly. Had a take away from their little take away hatch today (May 2021) Waited 20 minutes for some Cajun prawns and an unbattered sausage. 20minutes! We fancied fish and chips whilst in the area and decided on All Things Fish given location although was concerned over some of the reviews.We arrived late afternoon on a wet day and thankfully no queues. Prices reasonable given location and the order took about 10 minutes to arrive which wasn't a problem due to the views and that they serve beer!Portion size was about right, not too much and good size fish. Chips were varied and some were overcooked, not the usual consistency for a chippy. Fish was nice but slightly on the greasy side.We enjoyed our food; not the best but certainly not the worst.

Absolutely the worst fish and chips I've had. Complete and utter rip off. They will only rip me off once. £46 for what I can only describe as 4 soggy child's (adults!) fish and chips, small chips, and 5 soft drinks! I have no problem paying this, I knew what the cost was, but not for this disgrace. Don't bother asking for salt and vinegar as I think they just showed the packet the bottle and shaker. A complete tourist trap, avoid at all costs.

Well that was an extremely disappointing experience. It is understandable that delays are likely with the new queuing system just does not work. We waited just under an hour to be served, but we did't mind as we were expecting a lovely meal after a long day at the beach. What arrived was anything but... We had two fish and a 'large' portion of chips. The fish was soggy, the 'large' portion of chips was extremely small. Even my 13 month old son shouted 'gone' as they were open as there was only a handful in there! There was no salt and vinegar on the chips and this could not be remedied due to Covid guidlines. After spending £17 on dinner, we were left disappointed and hungry. We will not be using this place again.

Thought I’d try the vegan fish and chips as I am a vegetarian, I don’t know what the vegan fish was but it didn’t taste nice at all. Can any chef there taste it and actually say it tastes good? Not had fish and chips from here before, was a spontaneous decision after a walk along the beach. The fish was really good, not greasy, a good size and juicy - probably one of the best compared to other local takeouts, but we were gutted that the chips weren’t chunky ones, they were fries. Don’t know if this is normal or if they were out of chunky ones on the day, so will give it 4 stars as I felt we should have been told either way as not typical for fish n chips. Would make me unsure about going back if this was a regular thing. They had a good set up for social distancing by bringing your order over to a table & really friendly happy staff.

The BEST fish and chips in the area. Fresh fish every morning and super light batter. Can even get a beer or glass of wine!! Great queuing system - social distanced. Lots of tables spaced if you wish to sit. Thank cod for All Things Fish!

The best Fish & Chips my family and I have had in ages. Well set up social distancing measures, no crowding, you are delivered your order as you stand at an allocated numbered bench. Great range on the menu, reasonable prices, excellent service. The fish had a light crispy batter and fab chips not greasy, drinks available and what a fantastic setting if you wish to stay and eat at Avon Beach. Our regular place to go from now on.

I reviewed this under the Noisy Lobster. But as a separate takeaway it is brilliant. The fish and chips are to die for, the best anywhere. The fish is so fresh, the batter perfect and generous portions and the chips crispy outside and soft inside. I have had them a few times since it opened in this strange time and always had perfection. The way it is organised is so good and to be able to sit safely on a bench on the sand with an amazing view, is heaven.Well done to all.

Four of us visit a regular haunt at Avon Beach. We had previously phone to make sure that there would be food available. There was a good social distancing plan in operation, one at a time to the till, get a receipt and then wait at one of 5 tables that had been put out. The young lady then bought your bag of food to you. There was a good choice on their menu. We all had Haddock and chips with a fine thin batter and some well cooked chips. Absolutely made the day. With the smell of fish and chips and the fact you have no other options in the area, we visited a very busy kiosk today. The staff were coping brilliantly with the number of customers with it being the New Years Day.Ultimately what we were served was lovely fish, but really disappointing chips. These were basically oven chips, not the type you would expect from a fish and chip shop.

Came to have fish and chips on a pleasant summer evening. Queue was long and so was the wait.Food and staff were terrible.The fish is definitely NOT cod as advertised, the price is way too steep for even cod but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and orders 5 portions. I was shock when they served up tiny Fish and chips ( even the chips didn’t taste fresh).I spoke to the Manager to complain, he was not interested at all, in fact he argued and got quite rude. Avoid this place and visit Daniels in Highcliffe or Alexander’s in Mudeford.

This is the worst fish and chips I've had in England. The fish was definitely not cod, it had black skin and it tasted really weird! The chips are alright but at £8 I expected much better than that. I left half my portion which I never do. I would avoid if I was you!

We had a shortish wait for our food but that's fine when freshly cooked as this was .Portion size was very reasonable for lunch and the price was most acceptable. Our local friends come here often and we can see why. Suggest you get here early or later to avoid the lunch time queue but not a hardship to do this by the beach.

Really tasty chips, crunchy on the outside soft and fluffy on the inside. Small cone of chips was £2.70. Small portions so not good value but I don't expect anything else when at the seaside. 30p for small sachets of sauces. Was nice to sit near the beach and eat the chips.

A badly run seaside business charging stupid amounts for a cheap type of fish; £8.00 for one portion and the fish has lots of black skin. Everybody visit Chez Fred's in Westbourne for a tastier and better value for money fish and chip shop that actually serves the real thing, haddock and cod, for a fraction more and is a restaurant. Waited for at least 15 minutes for the poor meal...I was order 124 and orders 128/129 were coming out the window before mine had come...manager was extremely rude after thinking this was acceptable. Where is the logic in that? Cheap, nasty bit of fish where manager is cheeky enough to pen it as 'fish and chips' and charge a normal fish and chip shop price that service quality cod or haddock. I shall be avoiding this dirty venue in future and urge all others too as well. Bad service, bad waiting, bad food, bad everything!

£8 for fish and chips is too much. 30p for a sauce that should be free at their prices. 20p extra if you have your saveloy battered. £5 for chicken nuggets! The prices are criminal.

We ate here so we could enjoy the beach, and whilst the portion sizes are generous, unfortunately the quality of the food is very poor. The chips taste like oven chips and the fish is a poor quality substitute for cod. Won’t be eating here again.

This is a lovely seaside fish and chip shop that serves great size portions for a great price. The food comes in a lovely box and there is lots of seating right on the beach. perfect

We had an impromptu day out to Christchurch to take some pictures for a school project. All the way down I was hoping we would find somewhere to eat fish and chips on the beach. With a bit of searching, we came across this lovely spot.

When walking at Friars Cliff/Avon Beach we have often stopped at this takeaway outlet. I've always found chips to be well cooked & of a good portion size.

We brought my mum in law down for chips In the sunshine. Although hot and tasting nice, the “large” £3.50 portion of chips was tiny and just about covered the bottom of the box. Very disappointed. Even the small tomato sauce sachets are 30p each. Won’t be going back.

Great place in good location to buy some thing quick good selection for all tastes of all ages even the young

Awful overpriced Fish and Chips! Chips tasted like they were oven chips and not much flavour.. Such a shame because it could be so good and in such a great position but I’m guessing they know that due to prices!

Really great fish and chips and had my first pea fritter. The small helpings of fish are enough for mere mortals.

Quite expensive but tasty food cooked fresh whilst you wait. Definitely a great facility and would visit again.
