The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

Don’t waste your time. After telling me 7 minutes to cook the fish fresh, I said I’d be back soon. Come back and they have the audacity to ask me where I’ve been, which was just outside the shop and then they start making the fish. Long.

The young lady who was wearing a hijab serving customers, stared at myself and my daughter making us both feel very uncomfortable. Am not sure what we had done wrong but she looked very displeased with us. It was 15minutes, totally strange situation to be in. Even when looking back she would not look away. I even smiled and she glared at me. Very strange.

I asked the manager for a fresh cooked piece of haddock which was no problem Well worth the wait for it to be done nice fresh chips too

Check your order before you leave the chip shop as I’ve had items missing from my order twice when I got home and served up the meals. I typed out the order out on my phone to make it easy to understand, she even asked to double check she had got it right, saying I’ve got a good memory, obviously not as still left out one fish, it’s not rocket science to serve fish and chips is it !!!!!!!!!! Ocean fish bar 1 x Large fish 2 x mini fish 1 x Chicken meat 3 x Battered chips 4 x small curry sauce So check you are given ALL you have ordered 😩🥴😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😩🥴

Worse battered fish I ever had in my life - used to be good a year or so ago and the chips were really nice, but now chips are barely cooked and the fish and batter is sloppy - mushy peas are runny and gravy is like the skin that forms on top of gravy. I don’t know how they make it so bad. Good luck eating anything from here.

Good pizza but the Parmo isn't a proper Parmo.

I LOVE FISH & CHIPS! Much to the chagrin of my wife and family, I am a very fussy eater. There are many more things in a supermarket that I won't eat compared to what I'm prepared to offer to my mouth. Consequently, the period between order and presentation of food in a pub, restaurant, or even fast-food establishment is fraught with anxiety. I'm always meticulous with my request and am totally bamboozled if the plate/box/package arriving isn't a true representation of my carefully prepared requisition. F & C's, what could go wrong? Whilst a request for "Fish & chips with scraps please" usually results in the arrival of the correct component parts, the taste consistency at most establishments often flatters to deceive. Not so with 'Box-Chippy', which is our colloquialism for Hutton Lane Fish Shop. In 2001, it was the first estate F&C shop we'd ever had our delights served in a box, hence the nick-name. During the intervening 24 years, the number of times Box-Chippy has disappointed can be counted on the male appendages on my lower body. It is without any fear of contradiction, the best and most consistent chippy I've ever experienced. As was the case last Saturday (25th Jan 25), a family group WhatsApp invitation to join my wife and I for 'Box-Chippy' always receives instant acceptance. I'm then dispatched with my wife's hand-written order and verbal instructions to "rush there and hurry back." Satisfaction was purchased, and a table of contented adults ensued. WE ALL LOVE 'BOX-CHIPPY!"

The absolute worst takeaway I have ever had in Dover. Food arrived freezing cold, items were missing or wrong, delivery driver had no idea. Will certainly never order from here again and can only warn others to not make the same mistake I did.

Absolutely fabulous food all fresh cooked. Not been there before but would definitely go again. Really helpful staff and quick service.

Ordered Savouries and Scallops , this is a walk in the park counter service. Had to wait for well over 15 minutes - got the impression their more interested in their “just eat orders “ The Scallops were cold and only two of the Savouries were warm - I remember when “ service and quality “ meant something and the food was served “HOT” - maybe the Tradings Standards needs to visit to ensure food being offered for sale meets food @ hygiene regulations??? This is one “ chippy” I won’t be returning too or suggesting to friends!! Time to improve your act and remember that important saying “ customers make pay days possible “”

Best chippy/takeaway 🥳 Highly recommended, food is perfect, comes early and I've a big takeaway girl 🤣 tried everywhere, Finnagans is the best ❤️

Tenía pescado y patatas fritas de aquí y estaba delicioso lleno de sabor y pescado fresco. El rebozado estaba muy crujiente pero no demasiado seco y el pescado tenía sabor, las patatas fritas estaban sabrosas y perfectamente cocinadas. Fui criado comiendo pescado con papas fritas de un pueblo costero, así que no mi comida y fui chef por más de 35 años, tan bien experimentado en la comida. Gran pescado y patatas fritas y una gran relación calidad-precio ir a comprobarlo ahora ... . . gracias chicos

I would have liked more burger sauce and was disappointed that I had to pay extra. Additionally, there was no option to add burger sauce to chips or kebab.
