Brilliant take away. Fast service. Totally covid friendly. Lovely thin batter on the fish. Tasty chick nuggets, sausages and chips

Food quality not very good any more , fish was not cod, and was very greasy , allso very expensive now £7:50 for cod and chips .a shame as it was a good chippy .

i was on my break and looking for somewhere to eat, hadnt realized that turned this place into a restaurant as well. all i had was saveloy and chips, both were cold, had no heat coming off the plate. lack taste and freshness. when i complained all i got was a small discount, should not have had to pay for cold food

Under new ownership wanting £9.50 for a standard Fish & Chips meal, formerly around £6.50 all in! Staff are friendly and approachable but as this place does not offer a lunchtime special it is way too expensive for an average punter. Compared to Churchills in Fleet this is not worth the visit. There is far less fish and more batter. Churchills wipes the floor with this place. It’s a real shame. Not a great experience.

This is a little restaurant run by a lovely lady.Fish is cooked to order,there is a senior citizen menu which is very good value.Good place to stop and eat as it is in the middle of town.

The people who work there are very nice and friendly. The chips are very nice and cooked. I love their food because it tastes good. I've been to this place lots of times since I started living at Farnborough. No problems with the Lemon Plaice at all.

a few times had sausage and chips to take away. Standard fayre, reasonable portions at a standard price. Fine for a quick snack whilst browsing

This place has been in Farnborough for ever! They are only open during the day but they definitely serve the best chips - especially the bargain £1 cone of chips!

A nice chippy. Food always tastes good. Recommend if you want fish and chips. Pensioners meals very good value.

My mother and I used to frequent this restaurant on a regular basis over many years. The staff are always pleasant and efficient. The food is reasonable.

This is a favourite with the older members of the local community, they like that you can sit in and have a decent fish n chip supper. Been there a long time so obviously doing something right, never heard a negative review of this plaice (pun)!

Thought we would try this chippy for a quick snack. Curry and Chips was £1.85 and we received 18 chips - I think there was one more small scrap. The chips were well cooked and served hot. A few more chips might have enticed us back in the future, but not for a child's portion.

I ordered a adult meal of pie and chips to eat in. The food was ok, but was served on a very small plate that is almost like a side plate in size. Although the plate was small they still somehow managed to make it a small portion. It just seemed that the owners were trying very hard not to provide adult portion sizes but still wish to charge adult prices. Unfortunately It was poor value for money and did not seem to be a clean place to eat. They need to significantly reduce eat in prices, or keep the prices the same and serve food that is on dinner plates and ensure that the portion sizes are of a reasonable size. Unfortunately, it seems to be one of those places that people are unlikely to go back to. Disappointing...

Right in the heart of the shopping complex.Very convient for shoppers.Most people can be seen sitting outside eating there chips.Some days you get really hot chips and at other times they are limp and cold.The fish however is OK,nothing to rave about.Very popular with teenagers who head for the chips while parents shop.

A fairly typical chippy but with a few tables inside. The chips are quite simply divine though and it's hard to resist walking in when in the town centre.

This used to a great fish and chip shop many many years ago. Now however is is nothing short of horrible. The place always looks dirty and the smell of rancid cooking oil is off putting. If you brave the dirty and the rancid smell. the food at best would be described as adequate in portion size, greasey in texture and flavour and the service is awful. I will not eat here again and encourgae others not to eat here either.

This cafe has been going for years and deservedly so. Great fish and chips to take away it eat in. The chips are particularly good. My cousin visiting from Canada was impressed with her authentic English fish and chip dinner. A firm favourite.

Went to visit the bro in law the day after an apparent storm and the wife wanted to go out..So I stopped Fifa 14 and went to Farnborough. We all wanted lunch and I fancied some nice chips. We went to The Lemon Plaice and the chips and battered sausage was tasty. Even the kids enjoyed their meal. Would recommend the place. One downer, my wife said the toilets were not great.

This has happened twice now and I think it is ridiculous. All I wanted a small chips, if I had them in a cone it was only £1 or a small chips for £1.45. As I didn't want many I thought I'd go for the cone but I didn't want to eat them straight away so asked if I could have them wrapped....no that would be £1.45. 45p for a piece of paper.........a joke!! Then to top it both times I have visited this place the girl serving is the most miserable person ever - she needs some customer service training. I also saw her overcharge a pensioner - they have up the wall special rates at lunchtimes. Won't be visiting this place again.....will drive out of town to get my fish and chips in future why I don't get ripped off and get could customer service!

I came here for a quick takeaway of chips one hot summer's afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised to find somewhere independent. For a weekday afternoon they were very busy. Yes, the décor is old-fashioned but I liked the feel of it.The girl on the till was pleasant enough. Chips were very good and very hot (we were lucky enough to get there in time for a new tray-load).Good atmosphere and judging by the number of patrons eating in and takeaways that were collected when I was there, the place is well liked.

Good reliable food, the kind you would expect to find! But the décor is in need of an update, I have lived in Farnborough all my life and do not remember the interior looking any different!

Good value place to go for lunch in a part of Farnborough -Queensmead which is being regenerated. This fish and chip bar is clean and friendly with bright formica tables and attentive service. Cod and chips with mushy peas,bread and butter and pot of tea as a daily special went down a treat, all for £6.75; pensioners were enjoying their fish and chip (extra) special at £5.25.Also busy in the traditional manner, wrapped in newspaper, for takeaways.
