normally very nice but the fish tonight was overcooked and very dry.

used marts a lot but have to say tonight the saveloy was tough and I couldn't eat it . chips weren't great as well

Chips were stone cold, even the cheese hadn't started to melt/go soft. The chips also had a powdery texture. The battered sausages were red hot. Won't order from here again or recommend them

The Cod was lovely, big white flakes of fish, very tasty and the batter nice and crunchy 👍🏻 can't rate the atmosphere; it's a chip shop with no seating.

The best fish ever. No stodgy batter, it's beautiful and crispy. The fish is tasty and the chips are to. The portions are huge. I highly recommend the food here.

Dad ordered haddock and chips and me a large chips but when we got home, Dad got a surprise and he got fish cake instead of the haddock, and he paid for the price of a pice of haddock and chips, well the chips I had were just adequate. Will not be returning to Mart’t Fish & Chip shop in the future

Hit and miss, really, but not bad. It was quite expensive, almost £5 for a large bag of chips.

The delivery driver left it on the porch and didn't knock or ring the door bell, the neighbours returned home and saw the bag of food on my doorstep and rung the doorbell to give it to me! I checked the cctv and it was over half hour left out in the cold! Disgusting! People have no respect or compassion! That was my family's meal for the evening ruined!

Great timing just opened front door, and driver pulled up. Brilliant. The fish cake was hot, but they should have put cold drink in separate bag as made chips cold.

So disappointed, think the fish was cooked at lunch time and have been under the lights all afternoon. Batter overcooked and hard. Chips were cold.

Checked it out for fish and chips to go. Lady helping was nice. Ordered large fish (cod) and chips. It was very good and tasted fresh. The chips were nice. Prices were very reasonable. Plenty of parking in the back. Overall it’s a great place for a quick meal. Worth checking out.

First time ordering from here and I ordered because of the 4.6 stars….. I was very disappointed savaloy was extra hard and rubbery, cod was cold in places.

Good Chips, Curry Sauce watery, Ordered a large battered Sausage unfortunately was given a small one.

I ordered for the first time due to the positive feedback, so I don't whether I just got an off night but my steak pie was insipid, limp and undercooked and I spent most if the time picking out chips that were black and rotten. I would question who prepares the chips and also the person wrapping these chips, on how they could prepare rotten potatoes that become rotten chips, and then send them out.

Fish and sausage were lovely but the the chips were awful, the few that looked decent to eat were dry. The rest were just the dregs in the fryer. Disappointed as always use Marts. Maybe not in the future.

Bedt chippy ever, I never go to any other

The fish is good from here but the chips are usually disappointing - not the nicest flavour and a bit soggy / underdone. Decent portion sizes though. They used to sell fried black pudding which was really good but unfortunately they stopped selling it a few years ago.

First time eating from here and wasn't let down. The food was delivered on time, and hot. Quality was good, and if I were to pick one negative, it was the size/small quantity of the peas & curry sauce. Overall, it was very enjoyable.

Was expecting much better!! Not sure if it was an off day, thought I'd try this place as I've tried most others around Farnborough. Overall was just OK, portion sizes were in general fine for the price, nothing to rave about but also not disappointed. My large cod had skin on (my fault I should have asked before ordering) but the fish wasn't freshly cooked to order. It was not steaming hot and slightly dry and I saw about 3-4 fishes sat in the warmer for the good 8 or so minutes i was there. Batter had a little crisp to it but bland. Chips, we're pretty average, bit soggy and not what I would consider proper chip shop size chips. Curry sauce too watery. The battered sausage and chicken nuggets were freshly fried and were actually the highlight, given an extra star for them alone. I will give Mart's another try and hope for better. The lady at the counter was lovely, very friendly. Also the place has a nice traditional fish and chip shop feel about it. Mart's I hope my next visit will be better!!

Food was very good, tasty and a good sized portion 👍 Also a good temperature considering the journey. Just Eat man was also excellent. Will definitely order again when I’m in the mood for fish n chips and can afford it.

Unfortunately the chips were hard and dry, the saveloy was rock hard, difficult to cut and was dry. The haddock was nice but the cod was brittle at the ends. After looking forward to a nice tasty supper, we are extremely disappointed!

Found a small bone on the kids meal. I understand fish and chips are deep fried food but I found this one to be too overly greasy for my taste. Fish was alright but I found the chips a bit soggy.

Chips were brilliant but unfortunately our saveloys were hard and dry. They were so bad that I had to take them back and bang them on the counter whilst I complained. They reimbursed me but the lady suggested that it was my taste at fault and not the product( as they sell so many of them). I am 51 years old and I've eaten saveloy and chips up and down the country hundreds possibly thousands of times and this was the driest, most dessicated saveloy I've ever tried to eat. It was so completely bereft of any moisture that it was inedible.

Delivery driver was one of the rudest I’ve ever had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting. If I could rate him he would get a minus 6 star review
