The cafe is part of a discounted outlet store in what used to be a mill. There is ample free parking and the prices for food and drink are reasonable. Seating is fairly basic but serves it's purpose. Coffee comes regular or large. Large is naturally weaker unless you pay 70p for an extra shot. You can then grab yourself a bargain in the shop.

We called here a few weeks ago after doing the waterfall walk at ingleton, on first impression all seems good , prices are average and the food is the same, I think you are missing a trick here you have a lovley building, full of character but the cafe seems like no thought has been put in to keeping the mill theme going, we had the soup and sandwich combo , as I said early average, come on watershed get your thinking caps on and get some originatley back in to the place, don't just be run of the mill( no pun intended)

While at the Watershed mill we decided to have some lunch here. Panini was nice and well presented. Service was a bit slow but nothing major. Nice and clean and interesting things about the history of the mill on the wall. Staff were pleasant and place was light and spacious.

Should have read these reviews before we went. Very poor meal and the carrots looked like they'd been around all day. Uneatable. Will never go back. Dire.

Settle is a place I had visited many times, years ago. I was surprised how little it had changed. We decided to try the mill. which was completely new to me. I was looking forward to a coffee and something to eat. The coffee was terrible - undrinkable and the food was not at all appealing. It took ages to get served and the whole experience was disappointing. My verdict -- I definitely won't be going to this restaurant again.. The mill is a different kettle of fish. well stocked and served by very pleasant staff. Thank you to the mill you saved the day.

We had the afternoon tea for 4 with our two children and it was amazing, we chose 4 different sandwich fillings, tea, coffee, 4 cream scones, 2 strawberry tarts and 2 cupcakes. It was all delicious and we were completely stuffed when we'd finished, lovely clean coffee shop with friendly staff and great value menu (the afternoon tea was £20!!!)

Stopping at what from the outside looked like a nice place to take afternoon tea on the way back from a weekend away, we ordered two afternoon teas. The first notion that something wasn't quite right was when I was asked to choose sandwiches from the boxed sandwiches in the chiller, and the look of disdain on the server's face as I asked for these to be made fresh. When our afternoon tea arrived, the sandwiches were soggy, the scones had obviously been warmed in a microwave to make these appear fresher than they were (they weren't, and had the consistency of granite). The coffee was - well it wasn't. I think they'd run water through the same grounds in the filter since June. It was warm brownish water. We left before the spiders from the webs above us dropped. Dirty tables, uninterested staff, food that looked like a 6-year-old had brought it home from cookery classes at school. Needless to say we won't be back.

The food was just awful, felt like it had been prepared hours before. The staff appeared completely disinterested in being there. This miserable place is just a waste of your time and money- give it a miss.

We visit here frequently, particularly when the weather is bad. The café is nice and warm and friendly staff. As a frequent visitor I just wish they would vary the menu a bit. However, the tea is good, but beware if you order tea in pots - they are metal and a bit battered and nearly all leak. You can end up spilling most of it over the table. There is definitely a knack to pouring it out - pick up plenty of napkins at the counter!

We had a very enjoyable lunch of breaded plaice with chips and steak & kidney pie with chips. Food was delivered to the table, freshly cooked and hot. Staff were very friendly, tables cleaned quickly ready for next customers. A full range of snacks and hot meals were available and it was very busy, a good indication to us. Very good value.

Popped in for a cup of tea, asked for one pot not to put teabag in as I like really weak tea and hubby has his strong, we got 1 pot of tea and my pot of hot water BUT no teabag for it, was too tired to complain, and it was nearly closing time. As part of EWM, never had that before, and later discovered I'd been charged £1.75 for a pot of hot water, not good, won't use cafe again

There is nothing particularly inspiring about this cafe but as far as I am concerned it fits the bill for a simple snack or lunch when we are in the area. We have never had the hot food but have been more than pleased with the sandwiches, scones etc. I note that some reviewers suggest that the food is overpriced, and whereas I cannot comment on every item on the menu, I can certainly state that the Afternoon Tea at £10 for two is fantastic value. It came with a choice of sandwiches, scones and cakes and was so filling that we had to take the cakes home with us.

What a great place to call in, travelling to and from 'The Lakes'. This place was suggested by our travelling companion. Snacks and light lunches are served. My daughter and I had freshly squeezed orange juice which tasted refreshing. I ordered a scone. It seems that each day they serve a speciality scone. It was so enormous I had to take some home with me rather than waste it! Chocolate cake was enjoyed by my daughter. This is a place to call into when travelling along the A65 and you want a lunch break. One thing to note is that I felt the food was quite expensive. But good quality is guaranteed.

We stopped off here one lunchtime and ordered the lentil soup. I asked for a gluten free roll or bread but they do not stock any. The soup was just about the worst I've had anywhere... very watery and completely tasteless. Half way through it I had a mouthful of soggy powder thereby intimating that this soup is nothing more than a powder mixed with water. That would explain why there was no sign of a single lentil!£3.95 for what was basically a cup o' soup and no roll.We won't be back.

I've not visited the place before but my mum has been a number of times. We were staying at a caravan site up the road and on the day we arrived we wanted a quick bite to eat. For the type of place this is (coffee shop within a shopping centre) it's good value for simple food. It was good service, food came quickly, good portion sizes and it was hot. (Not sure about charging for condiments though) if you want something better quality then go to one of the many tea rooms or pubs in Settle.

We always consider the Country Kitchen Coffee Shop to be very good value for refreshments. We always stop by when we are in the Settle area. We have always found the staff very helpful and this past visit, in September, was no exception. There are large local views displayed on the walls plus a selection of mill-related memorabilia - to reflect upon a begone age.

All I can do is speak as I/we find .... visited again this past week. Enjoyed lovely bowls of soup (with rolls). Gentleman was very friendly - hadn't seen him working there before. He did write our order down so perhaps the previous reviewer's comments were heeded, if things were amiss before :-)Have never had any problems and that's why we keep returning to the Coffee Shop when in the area .... whilst taking in the retail therapy that Watershed Mill provides. Looking forward to a free cuppa on our next visit!!N.B. The front entrance to the Mill has steps down to it but, if you follow the car park round to the rear of the complex, there is wheelchair access.

just been to the coffee shop ordered sausage bap, bacon bap and a slice of toast, the chap didn't write the bacon bap down, so told him again. The sausage bap and toast came rapidly, so we went to sit down. The sausages were left whole in the middle of a large bap, obviously a d i y job, also no butter on it. My husband ate the toast then had to ask again (3rd time of asking) for the bacon bap, the chap had forgotten! Why he didn't write it down at the 2nd time of asking I don't know. When it came it also had no butter, so was very dry not good. We won't go back again, very disappointed, poor service, poor food.

We always make sure we visit the Watershed Mill whenever we find ourselves up in the area. Popping into the Country Kitchen Coffee Shop 'makes' the visit. They operate a Loyality Card scheme for hot drinks and, although we are not local, it has been worth taking part in this ... every hot drink counts on our visits and they add up to a free cuppa eventually.Staff have always been friendly and obliging ... no complaints at all. It is a licensed coffee shop. They do a Buy One Get One Free breakfast and have a good 'Tea for Two' offer at the moment.

We were attracted by the afternoon tea for two for £9.95 advert, so decided to give it a try. Unlike all the posh hotels that charge many times this price, we were offered a CHOICE of bread, a CHOICE of fillings, a choice of plain or fruit scones and were even allowed to swap the muffins for other cakes. The sandwiches had plenty of filling and we were even allowed to eat the crusts! All the food was lovely, the young ladies serving were smiley and we would thoroughly recommend this tea. (You could add a glass of prosecco for another £10).
